  • Integrate Business workflow into Portal

    Hi All,
I read the document "How to Configure the UWL.doc" Ver 1.0.
After following the steps given out there, i am stuck in one place and dont know how to proceed. I am writing down what i have done so far.
1.Created a system in the SLD
2.Mapped the Portal user to system user
3.Adding the UWL iView to User Role
    4.Register the System with UWL
5.Register the System Item Types with UWL
After this, i dont how to proceed and how to achieve my requirement. i.e expose the Inbox functionality which is there in TC SBWP to the portal user.
Appreciate all your reply to go forward.
    Thanks and Regards/Venkat

  • Integration of ABAP workflow with portal

    Hello Experts,
Need urgent help on UWL configuration.
We have integrated our ABAP workflow with portal through UWL.
We have a Ad Hoc link in the ABAP workflow which takes us to some transaction. For some reason we are not able to view that link when we see this workflow through portal.
    1. Is is possible to show any Ad hoc links from ABAP workflow into portals?
    2. If yes, what is the process for the same? We did not get any relevant documents.
    Any inputs/sugessions are most welcome.

    Hi Ashutosh,
Can you please send me the documents how did you resolve this issue?

  • Integrating ECC business workflow into CRM

What is the best approach for integrating (or not) ECC business workflow into CRM?
For example, lets say you have an elaborate custom workflow built in ECC for blocked sales orders which triggers a workitem to the CSR user ID into the SAP SBWP inbox.
But now you are implementing CRM and your customer service reps want to "live" in CRM.
So you want them to be aware that they have a blocked order assigned to them in ECC SBWP inbox.
    Whats the solution?
Do they have to toggle over and login to ECC, so they have to "work" 2 inboxes?
Is there some solution existing in SAP between these 2 systems that synchs the workflows, such that you can open and process and complete the workflow inside CRM?
Do you have to write some custom "notification" that sends CRM a message letting them know ECC has something?
We have order management in ECC, CRM only being used for service notifications and customer interactions, but CSRs envision "one cockpit" or one inbox for all their to-dos.
We do not use Portals, so the integrated inbox is not an option.

    Hi Jason,
Did you find a solution for this ?
I have a similar requirement where i need to trigger a workflow in SAP CRM and i need the approval request to flow to ECC as my approvers work only in ECC and never in CRM !
Is this integration a valid scenario ? and can we configure this ?
It would be of great help you you can share any documents available on the same.,
    Thanks & regards

  • DropDown list appl  is not working when integrated into Portal

    Hi all,
In my WebDynpro appl, I have a dropdown list.Which sends data to backend(R/3). This appl is working fine, when it is integrtaed into portal, even before i select from dropdown am getting <b>Access Denied error</b>.
    Help me.
    Thanks a lot.

Sounds like a PCD Permissions issue. Try assigning Read Access permissions to Everyone group for the following items:
    1) the Folder containing the iView and/or
    2) the application itself
Read about how to assign permissions using the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/f6/2604db05fd11d7b84200047582c9f7/frameset.htm">Permissions Editor</a>

  • Unable to login After configure BI 7.0 Tech system into portal

    Hi Experts,
I have gone through pdf file
Integration of SAP BI 7.0 and SAP EP 7.0 created by Karthik.
I have folloewd all the steps in his document after that I restarted my server then only problem has come.
Any user not able to login into portal. it doesnt shown in the portal screen.if we are giving the wrong password it shows Authentication failed and if Iam giving correct password nothing displayed and not able to get the home page what might be the problem.
In that documnet we have done SSO thru logon tickets portal to BI.
    I am using EP7.0 and BI7.0 from ECC6.0
Please help me inthis what might be the problem....?
    Thanks inadvance.
    Lohi.

    Dear
Guide information looks correct to me.
It's pretty hard to tell you what is wrong with so little information.
Check the defaulttrace.trc trace file of your portal environment.
Location depends on stack type (abap + java or java only)
    Located in /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS<instance nr>/j2ee/cluster/server0/log/system/
    OR
    Located in /usr/sap/<SID>/JC<instance number>/j2ee/cluster/server0/log/
It is very likely error messages are being written there that can be useful to help solve this issue.
Please paste its content in here, perhaps even from other log files that might contain valuable info.
    Kind regards

  • Running Discoverer reports into portal using SSO portal login - help

    Hi,
I am trying to run disco reports into oracle portal using discoverer portlet providers -list of worksheet. What I want to achieve is as follows
    1) login to portal using SSO userid /pwd - Done
    2) Enable discoverer for SSO - Done
*3) Use discoverer list of worksheets to show reports into portal but want to filter the list of worksheet to currently logged in portal user. This so that users looged in only sees the reports to which they have access in discoverer - Need Help*
*4) Once user runs this report then I want to filter the discoverer data based on users login or portal group - Help*
Can someone please help with issue no 3/4 urgently.
    Mant thanks
    Ganesh

    Hi Michael,
Assuming I have created the private connections using CAPI I still have my doubts as follows
Do I have to then login as each portal user and add the list of worksheet portlet for each user and selecting
"check the box called Display a different list of worksheets by allowing users to customize database connection and then check Show a default list of worksheets using connection, changing the connection to user's connection."
Considering we have 500+ users this will be huge cumbersom task for me.
Also when I tried to do this before loggin as each portal user when I logged in as second portal user I could see the list of worksheet portalet added by the first user which means I have to edit it but even that was not possible because it would not let me edit as only the page own whi created the portlet was allowed to edit (that is the first user)
    OR
Do you have to give portal user permission to edit the page so that they can log on themselve to add the list of worksheet portlet on the page by selecting their private connection and selecting
"check the box called Display a different list of worksheets by allowing users to customize database connection and then check Show a default list of worksheets using connection, changing the connection to user's connection."
Finally I know someone has made it work using URL links and it works as follows
    1) Map the portal and disco user into a table
    2) Create disco private connections
    3) when portal user loggs in and click on "Show my discoverer report" it then runs a PL/SQL package which in turn identifies the private connection details and creates a URL out of it as follows
    [http://portal.ccm.ac.uk/discoverer/app/partialConnect?password=IRTIMUDV123_=qplus=VDUMITRI=browser_selected=connect=RELATIONAL=QPRIS=viewer]
clicking on this link open discoverer with private list of workbook/worksheet.
Please advise which way should I follow.
    Thanks
    Ganesh

    NT4
    8.1.6.3 DB
    9iAS 1.0.2.2
    Oracle Portal 3.0.9
I have been following Note 136153.1 to configure Oracle Portal to use HTTPS.
I am able to login into Portal using http(e.g) http://machinename.net/pls/portal30. I have configured http.conf asdescribed in
136153 and used the ssodatan script to associate the login server with https.
I am able to connect to https://machinename.net and can see theSecurity
Certificate. I am also to login into
    https://machinename.net/pls/portal30/admin_/gateway.htm?schema=portal30 and see
the Gateway configuration. It is only when I go to
    https://machinename.net/pls/portal30 I receive the error message -
    Error: Timeout
occurred whilst retrieving page meta data.
If I revert the settings back toPort 80 in http.conf back to Port 80 and

    succesfully log intoPortal
    Can anyone help with this?

  • Loading of data from XML into Portal

    Hi,
I have a XML schema generated from a Word document, containing chapters and appendices in diffrent levels.
Is it possible to load this document into Portal text items, keeping the chapter/appendix structure?
    Regards,
    Nathalie

Several third-party tools support converting a DTD into a "first-cut" XML Schema. It likely will need a lot of subsequent work to get it into a useable format -- since for example, all of the datatypes would need to be string.
The tools I've personally used to accomplish this (and surely there are others) are:
    [list]
    [*]XML Authority from Extensibility
[*]XML Spy 3.0 from Icon Software
    [list]
The canonical format for XSU insert is precisely the default output format you would get by using XSU to generate XML for a select * from tablename statement.

  • Error in Uploading of Documents into Portal through KM

    Hi All,
I Am new to KM, i am uploading the Word Documents into Portal through KM, this is the path : Content Administrator->KM Content->Documents--->
here i am creating one folder after that i am uploading one Word Document into through Folder--->Upload, but when i am clicking on that uploaded document it shows Portal Runtime error....This is my problem....
Could u please solve my problem....for me this is very urgent.....
    Thanks and Regards,
    Abhiram Choudary.

    Hi Abhiram,
Please check it the link to the file uploaded file is ok, in order to make sure that there is a problem with the upload. The link should look like: <Protocol>://<Portal_Server_Name>:<Port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/documents/<your_Folder>/<your_wordfile_name>.doc
    or
    <Protocol>://<Portal_Server_Name>:<Port>/irj/go/km/docs/documents/<your_Folder>/<your_wordfile_name>.doc
If it's that's not the case you might need to change the configuration of the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/7d/236cfa17034a37a439dc392ec59eb0/content.htm">URL Generator Service</a>. Perform the steps indicated under "Activities".

    Hi
The portal display creates problem when you try to access the portal using the IPADDRESS instead of the host name for the portal.
What you can do is make a entry in the hosts file for the portal server and then try to access the portal using the name given in the hosts file.
    http://servername:<port>/irj
servername is the entry which you have given in the hosts file.
Dont use the IPAddress while accessing the portal, if by chance you are using it.
    This shoud solve your problem.

  • Incorrect welcome screen after logging into portal

    Hi,
I have an issue in Portal. Once when logged into portal, it is shows incorrect welcome page(welcome page of another user). Also getting "401 Unauthorized" error message.
Could anyone please help me to find what could be the reason for this issue.
    Thanks
    Manchari. N

    Hi Manchari,
Please check roles are assigned to user. then clear the browser cookies and temp file, then access the portal with the user and check it.
If you still the receive the same error, then check the default trace log file in http://<host>:<port>/nwa  >> Log >> search with the userid.

  • How to capture name of user that logs into Portal?

Im trying to create a report that returns information from a
Profile table. The UserId is the key to the Profile table.
Since this report returns information dependent upon who runs
it, I would make use of the USER functionality in SQL to isolate
the row in the Profile table. However, this technique wont
work through Portal because the user logs into Portal not the
    database.
What technique (keyword, API, etc.) should I use to capture the
username of the person who logged into Portal?
    Thanx,
    JE

    Try this:
    PORTAL30.wwctx_api.get_user

    Hi Edward,
Can you clarify on your statement "You can run 3.x queries normally". I am currently declaring the bex web application string in the BW iview created in this format "infocube=0D_FI_C01&query=0D_FI_C01_Q001" and i am not defining the report template anywhere in the iview properties but still the standard template is displayed.
Pls let me know how to run 3.x queries normally.
Also i am trying to integrate only reports which are developed for BW 3.x format in BI system but still the data is not displayed.
Pls let me know incase the SP level of both EP and BI portal are to be considered for this.
EP 7 portal is on SP9 where as BI 7 is on sp12.
Also i noticed the EP portal doesn't have BI Java Addon. will this matter for displaying reports in BW 3.x format.
As you suggested workaround i tried to create a url iviews directly taking the links from the reports displayed in BI portal , i was able to preview the report but when i added those iview reports to role, the reports are constantly loading as it is trying to contact BI system. There are being loaded constantly with nothing displayed on screen.
    "http://sapbw:50000/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fplatform_add_ons!2fcom.sap.ip.bi!2fiViews!2fcom.sap.ip.bi.bex?QUERY=0D_PU_C01_Q011&VARIABLE_SCREEN=X&DUMMY=1"

  • ESS & MSS users in ECC 6.0  into portal

    Hi Experts
How to get the  ESS & MSS users in ECC 6.0  into portal
    Thanks
    Daya

Open the door and let them in. *grin*
Not sure what you are really trying to ask. ESS and MSS are just grouped content in the portal itself. Your portal users will have portal ROLES assigned to them for ESS and/or MSS. These in turn will tie to backend security roles in ECC.
Now, "where" your users come from will depend on your portal configuration...like setting them to be authorized via Active Directory, an SAP system, etc.
    Kinda like this....
    user->UME source->portal role(s)--->backend security role(s)
