Integrate an oracle adf with ebs

Hello,
I have oracle adf app being called from an menu of oracle eBS . My app is called by users of 2 operating units. How my adf app can get the actual operating unit ie how I restrict my data to the right operating unit.

Hi,
My client want to add another operating unit to his eBS instance . For a single operating unit I do not care about what org_id is passed from eBS to ADF app .
But when I have potentially two org_id that is passed to ADF apps , I should get the org_id that is passed and process those data for that org_id.
I have this java code in my ADF app:
oracle.apps.fnd.ext.common.AppsRequestWrapper wrappedRequest;
oracle.apps.fnd.ext.common.Session session = wrappedRequest.getAppsSession(true);
Map columns = session.getInfo();
In this point I have in columns a map of attributes of this session . I need the org_id attribute of this session
String orgId = columns.get("?");
What string I should pass in the line above to get the rigth org_id?

Integration of Oracle Apex with EBS R12.1.1

Dear All,
We are in process of integrating Oracle Apex 4.0.2 with EBS R12.1.1 with the help of http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/apex-ebs-wp-cabot-consulting-169064.pdf.
After doing all the steps, the moment when we navigate from EBS application to Apex application by clicking on the EBS menu link it ends up with below error
"404 Not Found
Resource /OA_HTML/null/pls/apex/f not found on this server"
After some analysis i found the below code in "LaunchApex.jsp" for getting the profile value (supposed to be 'http://myserver:port') from custom system profile "APEX_HTTP_SERVER" and prefixing to "/apex/f?p=applicationid:page::APPS:::" is not happening properly
String l_launcher = ctx.getProfileStore().getProfile("APEX_HTTP_SERVER");
l_launcher = l_launcher + "/apex/f?p=" + p_application + ":" + p_page;
l_launcher = l_launcher + "::APPS:::" + p_item_names + ":" + p_item_values;
as we found that the custom system profile "APEX_HTTP_SERVER" not exist in EBS system. But it works without any page error if we hard code the entire apex application URL in l_launcher variable, but this takes us to EBS login page instead of Apex application page.
So i feel we can't bypass using profile value from "APEX_HTTP_SERVER" as it has some relation with EBS application session.
So could anyone please help me how we could create custom system profile "APEX_HTTP_SERVER" or any other options to make the seamless integration of Oracle apex with EBS works without any second login page

Hi,
Create a profile under Application Developer Responsibility as follow:
Name OAE_LAUNCHER
Application <whatever>
User Profile Name Oracle Application Express Launcher
Description Oracle Application Express Launcher
2. Set above profile value under System Administrator Responsibility -> Profile -> System, and search for the ‘OAE_LAUNCHER’.
Set the value at Site Level as:
http://<hostname>:<Apex port>/pls/apex
Then instead of hardcoding the URL in the jsp, just give the profile name OAE_LAUNCHER that you have just created in the jsp.

So will you please suggest me some tutorial or demos related to JSF and ADF faces. I passed through the video demos of Oracle ADF homepage but still I can't understand the use of those tags.

Problem in Oracle ADF with JDeveloper. JBO25001

Hello All,
I have to develop an application using oracle ADF and JDeveloper. To famalirize my self with the technology, I downloaded the Oracle ADF tutorial "Tutorial for Forms/4GL developers" from Oracle site.
I am following this tutorial line by line, but still getting an error. I have created
1) Entities
2) Associations
3) Views
4) ViewLinks
5) Application Module
all by wizard.
After I added my view and view link into the application module and tried to test it it gave me the following error.

I want to start Oracle ADF. But I don't know from which document I should start.
I know that these are the available documents././

Oracle ADF with Mapviewer - POINT THEME not visible ( Urgent Please)

Hi All,
I am new to oracle adf and mapviewer and I am configuring a application to display a base map ( with some tables) and point theme ( different table) which can be selectable.
I have created a base map using oracle map builder and created tile layer.
Using Oracle ADF Geo Map component , configured the above base map and mapviewer server
and defined data control to create point theme....and configured long/lat values .
But no luck, unable to see the point theme on the map. Please help me ASAP.

How to configure Oracle Discoverer with EBS R12 ?

Dear
I hope, by default Oracle Discoverer is not configured with EBS R 12. How to configure it?
Any hlep, highly appreciated.

Oracle ADF with HSQL In-Memory Database

Hi
I have been using J2EE applications and have several Junit test cases using Hibernate and HSQL in-memory database.
I am looking to migrate some of the modules in the project to ADF.
Can the unit test cases be implemented with ADF, running without Oracle Database?
In simple words will ADF work with HSQL in-memory database?

Hibernate is configured with Oracle database..Not with HSQL
So I am not very sure if ADF works with HSQL

Oracle BIP with EBS 11.5.10

I have BIP 10.1.3.4.1 installed and EBS version 11.5.10.2
I want to develop some reports with BIP using EBS data, can any body please help me by telling me shortly the steps I need to do ? Or can you please refer me to some demo ?
I want a solution on urgent bases, I want someone to tell me the track and I will go on my self.

RTFM - Read the free manual. You set up eBS database as a data source and write queries that go against eBS tables/views. You'll have to take care of org setting and security.

JsCookMenu - Problem with display of Menu (Oracle ADF)

I am using Oracle ADF with JSF components. The jsCookMenu displays the menu along with "x" representing images on the right and left side of the menu label. Please suggest me how to remove this icon from the menu display. Please find the code below.

I am getting this problem with IE when the application starts. When I do ctrl+refresh, this issue doesnot occur. Also, with Firefox I am not getting any problem. I need to know how to fix this issue with IE when the application starts. Any suggestions on this would be of great help.

The interesting part is what you did not tell us.
Kindly let me know as to why Iam not to replicate the issue in my earlier WLS.Please find my code means hte code has once run OK and now after you did some changes doesn't any longer. Querstion: what did you change, not oly to the code but to the environment.

Integrate Oracle Applications with local HTML DB to run APIs

Iam new to HTML DB. I have few questions in my mind to clarify.
Currently iam working on API testing in one of the Oracle Application module.
During the API testing we call some APIs(usually some packaged procedures) from SQL Plus and check for the business rules and print the results to the SQL terminal using dbms_output.put_line. We have several test cases and for each test case we execute an API from the backend.
Now after going thru the HTML DB forum i got an idea that i will develop a HTML page in my local HTML DB for all these test cases where i will select the test case that needs to be executed and run it and the results are published on the web page.
Question-1: Can i integrate my oracle apps with my local HTML DB so that i can call those APIs ? If yes, how can we do it ?
Question-2: Can i call my plsql procedures from the HTML DB on a button click ?
