Integrate Infopath form with Microsoft Excel

Hi. I have a problem to insert data from Infopath form into Excel. I had try to use web part, which is, I insert Infopath form and Excel as webpart in one page and make data connections between them.
By using this way the data has inserted into Excel web part, however, I have problem when I want to edit it back. I only can save the Infopath form, but not the Excel file. It is difficult for the user to edit the data back. Thus, my question is, how to insert
data into Excel using Infopath form, according to their field? and also, is there any other ways for me to insert data into Excel using Infopath form? Maybe using any programming language but I need step by step to do it. I have to insert it into Excel because
my client want the data will be print out in Excel table view. Thank you for your feedback and I really appreciate it.

long story short, don't.
Enter the data into SP List (IP is dead, so that wouldn't be MY recommended approach). Export SP List to Excel.

    Is possible to take the Infopath form  with two repeat section in one Sharepoint list 
    Take two repeat section and put them one bellow to other one in a SP list.
    The motive is that the first repeat section is based in account own by the requestor and the second repeat section is when the requestor is doing backup time for some one else where need to log the amount of time that spend in the peer account.
    I have basic logic in the form when requestor said Are you doing backup for some else? and press YES it is be able to use the second repeat section.
     Le me know how much pain full is going tobe or not..

    –Q2:What steps I need to do to accomplish this?  feasible or not

  • How to Use Web Printing with Microsoft Excel

    Hello,
    In the recent How to paper on Use Web Printing with Microsoft Excel, describes few ABAP classes and methods. Can those classes be modified  to access much more Microsoft excel objects , such as Macro ? Does any body has tried in those lines ? Any suggestions is eagerly awaited.

    Hi BW people,
    Since we want to modify our reports for printing (and the How-To about enhancement of web printing does not really answer to our requirements) it seems that the Excel alternative is just what we were looking for.
    Unfortunately I have been working with these classes for 6 hours now to get a very simple Excel file, but without success. I did fix the bug like Thomas Kauffman told on the forum, changed the dataprovider and prefixes and I followed every single step of the How-To document(also the check of folder options to open/save the .xls file),... The only thing that happens: the URL has changed (bookmark) and the page is reloaded again.
    So no Excel file, neither a dialogue box. I also walked -a very long time- through the code (in debugging mode) starting from ZCL_RSR_XLS_HELP_WINDOW_PRINT->PROCESS_CMD but I can't find anything!
    Is there anybody with the same problem and -better- with a possible solution to it?

  • How To... We Printing with Microsoft Excel in 7.0 / 2004s

    We implemented the How To... Web Printing with Microsoft Excel in BW 3.5.  We have upgraded a test box to 7.0 ( 2004s ) and the functionality is no longer working.  We have buttons in our web templates which call the help service and when they are clicked nothing happens.
    An example of the code we are using is:
    <A href="<sap_bw_url cmd='PROCESS_HELP_WINDOW' help_service='HELP_SERVICE_PRINT' item='GR1TABLE' subcmd='PRINT_EXCEL'>">
    Have other folks successfully continued to use this functionality in 2004s?  I know that formatted printing is an option in the new version but we intend to do a technical upgrade first and subsequently leverage this new functionality.

    Thanks for the help.  I didn't think that there would be an SAP note for the How To but note 995142 has the exact changes required.  Thanks for pointing that out.

  • Issue with "Web Printing with Microsoft Excel"

    Hi All,
    I have implemented the "Web Printing with Microsoft Excel". It worked fine. But to get a effect in the background color I have saved the  "BWReports_Excel_print.css" as test.css & made some changes to test.css. Then used transaction ICM Monitor(SMICM) to reset the SAP Web Appilication Server Cache. Also provided the respective link for test.css in the web template.
    But now the print is not working. Any idea???. I have also reverted back the link to
    "BWReports_Excel_print.css" in the web template.
    Still no solution.
    Need a urgent feedback.

  • How to... Web Printing with Microsoft Excel

    Hi All,  I am working with a client that is trying to get "Web Printing with Microsoft Excel" to work in their specific scenario.  They are on 2004s and trying to get this "Web Printing with Microsoft Excel" to work with 3.5x Web Templates, but can't seem to get it to work.
    The How To paper (Version 1.0 April 2005) is specific to NW '04 and below so I'm not sure if it's supported in our 2004s environment. 
    Does anyone know if this "Web Printing with Microsoft Excel" scenario should still work for us in our 2004s environment?  If so, do you have an example template you can provide or any insight for us?

    It all depends of what you want to accomplish, but both MS Project and SAP B1 have SDK's so yes, it's possible to integrate both the applications.

  • Infopath form with workflow should be created in unique subsite?

    I need to create several InfoPath forms with workflows.  Should I use different subsite for each form and workflow. Or I can put them in one subsite? If I put them in one subsite, any concern of workflow interference?

    You do not have to use a separate site for each form and workflow.  It can be done on the same site.  Even though you can publish multiple forms to the same InfoPath form library, I would recommend that you simply create a separate library for
    each form and workflow combination you intend to have.
    There should be no interference between the forms and workflows.

    When creating a new template in EBS, we have "Microsoft Excel" as one of the the template types (just like RTF). How to design the template if Excel is selected as the template type. I uploaded a blank EXCEL file and the concurrent program errors out with "Excel Processing" exception.

    r u uploading the blank excel..r the excel u got from the Analyzer for Excel from the BIpublisher.
    One small clarification on my previous post..like the .xdo not the excel name.Inside the excel it is the sheet name.
    If u uploading the excel that u got from the Analyzer for excel means it should work.
    Plz select the template type as Excel after uploading the template.
    Its working for me.

  • Unable to open InfoPath forms with large attachments in browser

    We have been running a infopath solution on SharePoint 2010 for a couple of years now. The form is rendered in the browser, but when the attachments are large in size (seems like a ~10MB limit for the form), the system would not allow the user to edit the
    form in the browser. Instead the browser pops up with a dialog say: "What to you want to do with [FILENAME].xml? Open | Save | Save as.
    Forms less than 10MB renders perfectly in the browser
    Are anyone able to clarify what is going on and how we can fix it?

    According to your description, my understanding is that you could not edit the form when the attachment was more than 10MB in SharePoint 2010.
    Please go to Central Administration > General Application Settings > Configure InfoPath Forms Services ,  in the user session section, increase the "Maximum size of user session data" to the size that you want, compare the result.

  • Working with Microsoft Excel then printing.

    The main reason I bought the I-pad was so I could fill in reciept forms and proposals for jobs and print them right out of my truck. I have a form with  my logo on it in Excel. I have eprint & Drop box but can't figure out how to get it to print. Didn't see a print button in the drop box when I finished filling my form out. Is there a different app for doing simple proposals and reciepts that I can put my logo on and print besides Excel? Anything that is compatible with I-Pad?

    Check out Numbers in the App Store.  It is an excel compatible app.  As to your printing question, if your printer is not Airprint Enabled, there are apps you can buy as well.  Two that are highly regarded are Print Central and Printopia.  Both are about $9 in the App Store.  To see if your priner is Airprint enabled, check the following link:

                          I have documentation, transport request # K903271.QB8  &  R903271.QB8 for Web Printing with MC Excel.  But basis guy he want OSS note #, so that he can import requests.
                          How to find the OSS note related to transport req. I already searched in SDN, and market place but no luck. Please some give me the OSS note.

    Hi,
    Just to give you some information on transport,
    Once the objects are collected in the TR, you need to release the task and then the Main request (TR) in DEV.
    In QA, Go to STMS, Go to Transport icon -> select you system -> Select you requests -> Then click on the truck icon it will prompt for you target client -> go to 3rd tab and then give your options (most of the cases , it is overwrite mode). Then click "OK", they will be imported.
    Note :STMS is used to perform the actual migration of the transport from the source system to the target system but in se09/10 you can only release the transports not perform the actual migration
    And only released transports will show up in STMS queue
    I dont know what is the OSS note your basis guys are talking about.
    may be it is specific to the documentation transport. Please check with them clearly.

    This my first post in MSDN, so kindly ignore if there is any faults/mistakes.
    scenario:
    I am updating a HyperLink(url) to an infopath Field (Such as Rich text box /Label) from a third party workflow(Nintex),it is not able to embed the html data .is it possible to embed html controls like <a> and <Br> tags in the infopath form?????

    The InfoPath form can be configured to export some of the fields as columns... by doing so, the workflow can simply update the list item's metadata, and the value is pushed into the InfoPath form data.
