hi,
Did anyone tried to integrate LDAP with ALBPM Enterprise?
If using LDAP for creating directory, will it create a new schema in LDAP?
If need to make use of existing LDAP schema, how can we do it?
Need HELP!!!
Thanks

Hi Jasmine,
Here are the choices you have for your Directory Service in ALBPM 6.0 Enterprise Standalone (I pulled them off of http://portal.plumtree.com/portal/server.pt?open=512&objID=3422&&PageID=5325&mode=2&in_high_userid=573417&cached=true).
Sorry - I don't see "Open LDAP" in the list.

Will it be possible to provide a document that will instruct on how to integrate oracle10g with TIBCO Enterprise for JMS
I needed to Integrate oracle 10g with TIBCO Enterprise for JMS.
When i searched on internet about how to do it, i found a document on oracle's site which has instructions (in the HOW-TO section) related to integration with OC4J (and not Oracle 10g)
I have been successfully able to integrate OC4J developer preview edition 10.1.3 with TIBCO enterprise for JMS.
when i tried with the same instructions to integrate oracle 10g with TIBCO Enterprise for JMS, i could not succeed. The i understood that the standalone OC4J is different from the embedded OC4J in Oracle 10g
Will it be possible to provide a document that will instruct on how to integrate oracle10g with TIBCO Enterprise for JMS
Your help will be really appreciated

Is it possible to integrate Oracle BAM11g with ALBPM ?if so please provide me some doc on that

If ALBPM can publish messages on JMS Topic or queue, you can integrate with BAM using BAM EMS (Enterprise Message Source). Check BAM EMS documentation: http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/integration.1111/e10224/bam_ent_msg_sources.htm#CJACJBIH

  • Problem with LDAP configuration in Enterprise Manager

    Hi all,
I'm new at Java CAPS. After install some pieces of Java CAPS now I'm trying to install and configure a Sun Java System Directory Server 5.2 in our environment.
I've already configured the Repository and the Logical Host to work with the ldap, but I have some troubles to do it with the Enterprise Manager.
I followed the instructions of the Administrator guide about the changes to do in web.xml and ldap.properties of the sentinel app but when I do login the Enterprise Manager I can't see the options of the tree to manage servers or users.
It seems that the app don't recover the user roles. I think so becouse I tried to create one user without roles (in normal authentication, without ldap configured) and when I did login in the result was the same.
At the beginning of the process I created the roles 'all', 'administration' and 'management'. However I tried to copy de roles of the Tomcat authentication from 'tomcat-users.xml' to ldap roles, but it doesn't work.
    Anyone could help me?
Thanks in advance, and sorry for my rudimentary English

Check that you have the correct Preferred Credentials with Logon as batch job if this is windows. Also check the correct configuration with regards LDAP integration for you platform.

  • Integrate Siebel eService (8.0) with Oracle  Enterprise Content Management

We are planning to integrate Siebel eService (8.0.0.10) with Oracle Enterprise Content Management. Has anybody did this integration in past and give us some suggestions.

    Hi,
Oracle SQL Net Connect String is the entry in TNSNAME.ORA file which identifies your Oracle Database SID.
    e.g.
    ORCL_SBA =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS =
    (PROTOCOL = TCP)
    (HOST = host.com)
    (PORT = 1521)
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVICE_NAME = ORCL_SBA)
Here, the Oracle SQL Net Connect String is: ORCL_SBA. Net Connect String is utilized to directly connect with the Database, without any Driver being interfaced in between.
While, ODBC DSN is a all together different stuff. You create ODBC DSN using "Data Sources (ODBC)" Utility under Administrative Tools. Here you need to specify a Driver to Connect to the Database, which should be the Siebel Oracle Driver Provided by DataDirect Technology.
    Hope this clears your confusion.
Oracle SQL Net Connect String & ODBC DSN are two different stuff, used for different reasons.
As Robert said, you need to read the Installation Guide more thoroughly for understanding the nuances of Siebel Installation.
    Thanks,
    Shalabhsneha

  • EPM 11.1.2: Using LDAP with BugTracker

    Hi,
I'm using EPM 11.1.2 as production env with NativeDirectory and I'd like to use Redmine as bugtracker for my support of EPM.
I need for integration it's LDAP and my bugtracker (Redmine).
    I found this: http://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/wiki/RedmineLDAP
--Can you tell me BaseDN string to connect for LDAP? dc=users or dc=css,dc=hyperion,dc=com--
What is port number for connect to LDAP? 389 doesn't works.
    Ohh... http://john-goodwin.blogspot.com/2010/05/epm-1112-life-after-openldap.html :(
Does it possible to using SSO?
Edited by: Antony NoFog on 12.01.2012 18:47

You can't connect Redmine to the EPM native directory because it does not emulate an LDAP interface. Native user management is based on a relational database.
But EPM can be (and usually is) integrated to one or more external LDAP directories (Microsoft Active Directory, Novell, or anything else the supports the LDAP v3 standard). In most environments there are only a handful of native administrator users on an EPM system and all the regular users are external users (although they are often grouped into native groups). Could you not integrate Redmine with the same external directory as EPM? Then your users should be able to log into both Redmine and EPM using their external directory credentials.

  • Scope of ALBPM Studio and ALBPM Enterprise Server

    Hi
I have some simple questions about ALBPM Enterprise Server:
it is really necessary to have this component in a production environment?.
For example, if a company is very small with 10 or 15 employees and you have only 2 processes in the company, ALBPM Studio is not enough to execute and to administrate these processes?
What are the problems that I would have if I decided to set up a production environment only with ALBPM Studio?
What things I could not do if I will not have the Enterprise Server?
How many users simultaneosly support the ALBPM Studio in a testing environment?
    Thank you so much...

    Hi,
The short answer is 'yes', you'll need an Enterprise server. Here are some of the issues with using Studio:
    Functionality:
You can't do everything you can do in the Enterprise server in the Studio engine. However, whether this is an issue would depend on the complexity of your processes/requirements. For example, the Studio engine doesn't support the versioning of processes.
    Licensing:
I don't know for sure, but I doubt the ALBPM licensing allows for Studio to be used in 'production'.
    Runtime
The Studio engine can't be isolated from the Studio application. So you'd always have to make sure someone had studio running on a PC somewhere.
    Users
You are limited to 5 concurrent users in Studio.
There did actually used to be a copy of the Engine that was aimed at small scale deployments called 'Express' (I think), but it disappeared a while back.
    Hope this helps,
    Tim

  • Integrate Portal With Microsoft ADS

    Hi,
I need to Integrate  portal with Microsoft Active Directory service, so that users can login with into Portal with ADS Authentication.
What are the required for Configure EP To ADS.
i have the LDAP Service User Account.Other than this what i required to configure.
Please provide me the steps need to configure,
    Thanks
    Subbarao Chinta

The links above should help you do the basic configuration for Portal and ADS integration.
In addition to the links above -
If you are planning to create users (with passwords), configure LDAPS.  This can be done by using Certificate Authority on the ADS server and importing the root certificate to the Portal server.  I would also make sure the security policies on both servers match.  The default port is 636.
Otherwise, the default port is 389.
If you plan to read other custom attributes from LDAP, modify the datasource configuration file.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/44/7d188751626fb5e10000000a155369/content.htm
If you want to create LDAP accounts with different account properties, modify the ume.ldap attributes in the com.sap.security.core property sheet in Config Tool.

    Hi,
Do you want to add a policy to authenticate or for autorisation? You must then define a policy step of type LDAP Authenticate. See [http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/integrate.1013/b31008/policy_steps.htm#sthref510] for more information.

  • Implement LDAP with OBIEE?

I'm developing an externally-accessible, somewhat-customized, site based on the OBIEE Dashboard product, running on Apache on a Linux server. To date, I've been creating user accounts within the Adminstration tool and assigning them passwords. This is cumbersome for me to maintain, however, plus it doesn't allow users to define their own passwords. Although there is an Active Directory infrastructure in-house, the users of my product are not employees; they're customers--therefore, I'd like to set up my own directory to manage users and passwords.
Can anyone suggest how I should proceed? I'm not averse to setting up an LDAP server (perhaps Open LDAP) but I'm not sure how to integrate it with my dashboard site. Or is there another, low-cost, solution?

Apache means a lot of things, generally speaking it's the software foundation behind many open source projects. If you say you are using Apache most people will think you are using Apache HTTP server which is not compatible with OBIEE as it needs a J2EE Web App server. Most likely you are using Apache Tomcat or simply Tomcat as the Apache preffix adds confussion.
Now to your question. I wouldn't suggest to use LDAP, too much overhead for what you want. You should be OK with External Table Authentication:
    http://108obiee.blogspot.com/2009/03/external-table-authentication-and-row.html
although you will still need to develop a front-end yourserlf to Admin these data. Oracle APEX could do the trick very quickly:
