Hi Everybody:
I've found the solution. It was necessary to fill the roles on the Front End. However, this step is not mentioned on the GRC 10.1 Security guide, only in 10.0.

Big Security Issues with WebCenter

I have some questions about security with webcenter:
1) can I hide and show the whole portlet according to the role of the user ?
2) how can I develop the dummy page definition to put some components in it, and apply security constrains on that portion differenet from the whole page definition constrains ?
3) the "Rendered" property of the component can be shown and hidden using the EL. But can I control every component alone depeneding on the authoriztion of the user on that control ? or all the component is depending on the same level of authorization?

I have some questions about security with webcenter:

a) use the isrunnable method in your portlet code (role membership is passed at runtime to the provider)
b) Create a managed bean and track the role membership (isUserInRole) by using the just use EL to reference this bean in the rendered property of the portlet to return true or false (similar to method in developers guide, section 10.3)
c) use a dummy page def as mentioned below

definition constrains ?From the developers guide "While there is a one-to-one relationship between the page definition file and the page you are securing, it is also possible to secure areas within a page (for example, a ShowOneTab) by using a headless (dummy) page definition file that represents a specific section of the page. As such, by defining view permission on this headless page definition, you can show and hide a section of a page by referencing the headless page definition rather than the actual page definition of a target page."

What do you mean by "add weblogic portal to webcenter portal"?
Like WebCenter, Weblogic portal could serve as framework for writing portal applications and/or portlets. If you have portlets, you should be OK. If you have applications, it might be a bit more tricky. If you still have a chance to run your old application on a Weblogic server (with deployed WLP libraries), you should be able to consume its outputs (web services, or even pages - at worst, take a look at Pagelet Producer, which is able to consume html pages regardless the technology). However, if you want to re-use your Weblogic apps resources, sooner or later you might be required to re-write it to the new, WebCenter framework.
So, it really depends on what you have and what you intend to do with it.

How to integrate Oracle Policy Modeling with IBM Rational ClearCase?

I have a requirement of versioning the OPM projects as well as the Rulebases. The built in version control sliksvn-1.6.13 works fine, but the option "Add File To Source Control" is not active under the "SourceControl" tab. Can anyone help me in this context? Thanks in advance.

OPM is looking to see if you have anything installed using the SCCAPI. It does this by looking for the registry key mentioned in the article I linked to.
If there is no registry setting then OPM says "This person does not have anything to do SCCAPI so I will not show those menu items". If it is there it will try to use that provider via the SCCAPI.
I've never seen an installation of ClearCase where it actually set up these registry values properly so I think you will have to edit the registry yourself - giving it the values as per the article I linked to rather than trying to reinstall.
So no you should not need to make any changes to OPM.
I do not think that reinstalling ClearCase will help because I do not think it tries to set these registry keys on installation (but I could be wrong).
What you will need to do is to make sure the registry is updated as per that other article. I realise it is for another product (not OPM) but it is setting it up ClearCase so it is reporting itself to be available in the same way.

BPM Process Intergation with WebCenter portal

I want to integrate a BPM process with WebCenter portal page. That Process should be opeb in portal page as it is as it run in BPM studio. So to achieve what componebt of portal should i use, Portlet or Spaces. Kindly provide me any link from where I can learn this thing using Jdeveloper.

Netscape vs. Java 2 Security model

Hi, new user here, downloaded and installed Java Virtual Machine plug-in, 1.4.2-b28, Wednesday evening. Added Java capability to IE 6.0.28. Running XP.
Encountered a problem with a URL that had worked with Microsoft VM on another machine on my home network. Found the Java Console, which gave the following message: "Netscape security model is no longer supported. Please migrate to the Java 2 security model instead."
Questions:
1) Might this be the source of the problem I encountered?
2) Is the Java 2 security model something I have to download, or is it some setting in IE?
3) If this isn't the right forum for this question, which one is?
That is, how do I "migrate" to Java 2, and why would I be using a Netscape Security model with the latest version of IE?
I am not a developer, just a frustrated consumer!

I am also facing the same issue, not sure about what url to use. And also the login webservice doesn't work while I am testing using http://localhost:81/RTC/RTCService.asmx. It always throwing the following error
" Unable to cast COM object of type 'RTCLib.RTCClientClass' to interface type 'RTCLib.IRTCClient'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{07829E45-9A34-408E-A011-BDDF13487CD1}' failed due to the following error: No such interface supported (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E_NOINTERFACE))."
Is the current owc_lcs.zip support MS Office Communication Server 2007?
Please share the configuration step if anyone already integrated OCS 2007.

Check SAP BOBJ 4. 0compatibility with SAP BW SEcurity Model 3.5

I am trying to find out if SAP BO 4.0 is compatible with BW Security Model 3.5 or needs to be upgraded to 7.0. The PAM (Product Availability Matrix) doesn't have any specifics on the BW security model. Can anyone please provide me some insight on this?

Thanks handar. As per your instructions I have tried OAM authorization policy and its working fine. But we also wants to check the same with OES also. Currently I have configure weblogic SM and created domain. In same domain I have deployed my application also. I have created application, resources and authorization policy to authorize /myfolder/index.jsp if user has some specific role. Now if I try to access my web application using http://host:8001/CONTEXT/myfolder/index.jsp, it doesn't check if user is authorized or not. I guess my application is not related to the resource I have created. Please help me with this. Also, let me know if we can retirive logged in user from session and use for authorization.

ADF Integration with Webcenter Spaces

We are developing an ADF application. We have to Integrate it in WebCenter Spaces.
In the ADF application we will be using taskflows to implement our functionality.
We Can Integrate it in Spaces in 3 ways.
1. Add it as an Omni Portlet
2. Add it as a WSRP provider
3. Add taskflows as Shared Library.
We dont have to concentrate more on Personalization. We do have to implement Security for the taskflows(jazn-data.xml).
Could you please let us know which of the following would be a best approach for our us, and also the scenarios where each of them can be used.

You should forget about option 1 and 2.
WebCenter Spaces is build as an ADF application so the natural thing to do is integrate it as a library.
You should only use omniPortlet to integrate external content and even then you should go for the pagelet producer which is the newer component.
Using WSRP portlets for ADF in your own application is something you should avoid due to performance and stability.
You should only use WSRP for regular JSP based portlets. But not for using it with the ADF Portlet Bridge.

UCM security modeling

Hi,
The use case is like this
OID
1. I have different groups in OID say Group1, Group2,...... 1000+ groups
2. I have other groups (apart from the 1 mentioned above) as well in OID say OtherGroup1, OtherGroup2,...... 1000+ groups
Please NOTE: The users presnt in Group1, Group2,.... and OtherGroup1, OtherGroup2,.... are completely different users
Also all the groups mentioned above are already repsenr and I cannot modify the existing groups as they are used for some other purposes as well.
I can just use the existing groups.
In my webcenter application I crate a object say "Sales"
And I want to create a folder in UCM by same name called as "Sales" and the contents inside this "Sales" folder should have the security as mentioned below
1. "Content1"
     - "Group1" should have R, "Group2" should have RW, "Group3" should have RWD
     - "OtherGroup1" should have R, "OtherGroup2" should have RW, "OtherGroup3" should have RWD (This group might remain same for all contents)
2. "Content2"
     - "Group4" should have RWD, "Group5" should have RW, "Group6" should have R
     - "OtherGroup1" should have R, "OtherGroup2" should have RW, "OtherGroup3" should have RWD (This group might remain same for all contents)
and so on..
So please suggest how can I achieve this type of security model in UCM.

which account am I suppose to add on "Contnent1"The account will be Content1. @Content1_R is the name of a group in LDAP, which grants its members R permission to the Content1 account.
And also what should be the "SecurityGroup" for "Content1" since "SecurityGroup" is mandatory for a content item check in. You may have to create a generic group where all users have RWD permissions - resulting permission are intersection of those from SG and accounts.
Also once the account is added I cannot change the permission for a particular user, so the option left with me will be to assign him to different account which has desired permission for given content (that too if I can add multiple accounts).Account is a setting on a content item, and it is expected to be changed only exceptionally. What you can change, though, is membership of users in your created groups - thus, granting/revoking permissions of users to particular accounts. This can be as dynamic as you need.

Error while confgiuring Siebel Bi Publisher Security Model..

Steps Done
1)     Imported the BIPSiebelSecurityWS.XML
2)     Replaced Existing address with the specific address of the Siebel Server
3)     Enabled Local Super user checkbox, entered a Super user name and password
4)     Configured the Siebel Security Model by pointing the Siebel Web Service end point with Siebel Username/Pwd
5)     Restarted the Bipublisher
6)     When I try to login to Bi Publisher with Siebel Credentials I am getting the error
The server cannot be used due to configuration error, please contact admin..
Please let us know the necessary steps ..

Login using the credentilas used for super user. Siebel user do not work here, it will only fetch the responsibilities here as a roles for that super user.

BIP: Upload error (Invalid BI Publisher Security model SBL-RPT-50532)

Hi, We have Siebel 8.1.1.5 running and having trouble integrating with BI Publisher 10.1.3.4.2 . I have setup and configure BIP as per the instructions.
When we try to upload reports from Reports - Standard Templates View, getting the following error messages:
Invalid BI Publisher Security Model Setting (SBL-RPT-50532) && Error (null) invoking method (null) for business service (null).
I have setup the security model to siebel in BIP and able to login tot he console using SADMIN/SADMIN. All the required components are also online and updated the params as per the instructions.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Please check whether your EAI Object manager is using different srf to one that application set to. In that case try to
set the EAI to same srf Or compile report stuff to that particular srf. And befiore that have you declared the Siebel securiy model setting in BIP.
