Integrate With Photoshop

Hi,
I am using Adobe Captivate 4
And Adobe Photoshop CS4
Is there any way that I can edit my project from captivate to photoshop?
is there a preference in captivate that lets me integrate with photoshop?
I cannot see that option?
I want to add some text...??
Phillip

Hi there
Yes, you need to create a project in Captivate. Captivate works with .CP files. Those are the equivalent of Photoshop files. I think those are .PSD?
What do you plan to do with Captivate? What is your goal? If we know more about that we can offer some advice about the best way to proceed.
Cheers... Rick

  • ITunes won't integrate with Photoshop Elements 6 for Photo Syncing

I just recentley upgraded to Photoshop Elements 6 for organizing my photos, but for some reason, it keeps showing up my old Photoshop Elements 5 catalouge (which by the way, states that there's 0 pictures on listed albums) instead of my new Photoshop Elements 6 cataloug.
Is this a glitch in iTunes or problem with Adobe...
Also is this integration error something to do with Adobe delaying the release of Photoshop Elements 6 for Mac?

Upgraded to iTunes 7.6, and now the sync is working perfectley....
I KNEW IT! Adobe delayed the release of Photoshop Element for Mac BECAUSE OF iTunes for Windows AND iPhoto INTEGRATION PROBLEMS!!!!
WHY ADOBE, WHY DID YOU WROTE THE SOFTWARE THAT DELAYED THE DEVELPEMENT FOR MAC VERSION!
    Anyway, the problem is solved!

  • Does photo not integrate with photoshop?

I've been using Macs and iPhoto since the start. I typically do edits in Photoshop, eschewing the simplistic edit tools aimed at consumers by using photoshop. Now with this "upgrade" it will not let me pick a preferred graphics editing software. In order to edit I've got to drag an image to the desktop, then reopen it in photoshop, edit it, then reimport it back to photos. Took what used to be a one click operation and turned it into something from a pre 2000 era version of windows. What gives? Do they not imagine that there are some people who prefer photoshop to the consumer editing the app provides? It would have been no skin off anyone's nose to allow this to be done as it was in the previous version. Also, why no control click for a contextual edit menu? iPhoto has been dumbed down it seems.

I'm in the same boat here. I used to import pictures from my camera's to iPhoto, organise them and drag and drop to Photoshop. This workflow, which is rather logic I think, is no longer possible. So now I have to export it first, choose a folder, go to Photoshop and choose the image to be able to edit it. I like the new Photos app a lot, but not being able to simply drag and drop images from the app to an external application (due to an api change), renders it useless to me. And I am absolutely sure I'm not the only one! It seems we're going backwards in time and if this is the roadmap for everything in OSX, eventually something like Ubuntu might become a better option. So I sincerely hope that's not the case.

  • CS3 integrate with Photoshop Elements?

I recently received an email from Adobe allowing me to upgrade from Premiere Elements to Premiere Pro CS3. Does anyone know if the Photoshop integration in CS3 includes Photoshop Elements? At this point I don't think I can budget for both a Premiere CS3 upgrade + Photoshop CS3 purchase.
    Thanks.

PProCS3 should comes with Bridge though, which should function as a decent alternative to the PSE organizer at least.

  • Can't integrate LR 5.2 with Photoshop Elements 12

    Hello,
Just downloaded PSE 12 and tried to integrate with LR 5. Went to preferences, external editor and added PSE12 as such.
Closed LR, even rebooted the macbookpro but yet nothing happened. Can not edit in PSE once in LR.
Am I missing something or maybe am I facing an incompatibility issue ?
    Thanks for your help
    Yannis

I don't want to seem flippant, but that's exactly what I did - Actually I set up 2 presets here (one for Adobe RGB & one for sRGB).
As I stated previously, I set these up on 2 different computers (a MacPro and a MacBook Pro), each computer running a different version of OS-X (Lion & Mavericks, respectively).
I have successfully set up several external editors using various stand-alone programs - they all still work -- with the exception of Photoshop Elements 12.

  • ATI Catalyst 13.1 - Not Good with Photoshop CS6 13.0.1

I installed Catalyst 13.1 last night.
On Windows 7 x64 and Photoshop CS6 13.0.1  I still see the GPU-based color-management issue noted in this thread:
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1093163?tstart=0
    Some workarounds:
Configure Photoshop to Basic GPU mode and wait for a Photoshop update to potentially fix it so Normal or Advanced mode can be used again.
Uninstall Catalyst 13.1 and install 12.8 specifically (which works okay with Photoshop CS6).  After testing a bit further this is probably what I'm going to do.
There may be a problem with the reporting of the VRAM size to Photoshop.  I'm not sure what's up, but I have 2GB of VRAM on my ATI 7850, and 2GB was the full amount reported to Photoshop by Catalyst 12.8.  With Catalyst 13.1 in place, however, I see the following.  Worse yet, the number seems to vary.
Also, there seems to be a problem now with the implementation of the Windows power policy - specifically the power-down of the monitors on inactivity.  They do power-down when left idle, but then they power back up again in a few moments.
I have not found a workaround for this issue yet, save for punching the actual power buttons on the monitors.
I found no speed increase or other compelling reason to upgrade to 13.1 in any case.  I think that release must be all about gaming and nothing more.
My recommendation, at least until Adobe releases an update that works around the color black-out problem, is to avoid updating to Catalyst 13.1.
    -Noel

In all seriousness, I do prefer things that work.
For 5 years or so ATI was on top of the quality heap - long enough that I bought a 4670, 5670, and just recently a 7850 card.  However, the last 6 to 8 months have been markedly worse, and unless some kind of major turnaround happens, I am starting to think that ATI is moving down the list, making way for nVidia to dominate.  I have heard that AMD in general is having financial troubles.
In my long career in software engineering, having many PCs (and having run departments full of engineers with PCs), I have seen a number of different graphics manufacturers dominate the industry at various times...  Matrox, nVidia, ATI...  Maybe it's just nVidia's time to shine again.
Assuming you are speaking of "jumping ship" at a higher level to Apple, that thought has crossed my mind, but in all seriousness I don't think you lot have much better a time of it overall.  Reference recent Mac-only problems with Photoshop licensing/activation for example.  At the moment I enjoy the greater control the PC environment gives me over what I choose to integrate together.
Perhaps it sounds as if "things are bad" for me, but they're not really.  For one thing, Catalyst 12.8 really does work pretty well.  My system goes for weeks between reboots and I rarely get application crashes.  Testing these drivers is something I need to do to keep abreast of problems my own software customers, who use my GPU-accelerated plug-ins, may encounter.  Fortunately with the newest Catalyst drivers I've found no problems with my own software, which uses the GPU differently than Photoshop (in these modern times, it's a certainty that no two applications use the GPU in quite the same way).
By the way, I am no fanatic - In addition to two desktop Dell workstations and one laptop Dell PC, I have in the family a Macbook, three iPads, and an AppleTV.  Like I said, I like things that work.

You can certainly place any images you work on with it. What else did you

  • I have recently purchased Lightroom 4 and want to use it with Photoshop but my Photoshop is 7.0 ?

I have recently begun using Lightroom 4 for digital photography.  I would like to integrate Lightroom 4 with Photoshop but my version is quite old  ie 7.0.  How shall I proceed. I am a faculty member at the University of Washington.
    Thanks
    John Olerud MD

If the edit in photoshop doesn't work with ps 7 (might be too old) you'll probably have to specify an additional external editor for lightroom under
    Edit>Preferences>External Editing
Photoshop 7 should work with lightroom after doing that.
Anyway it does on a windows vista machine.

  • I am unable to open my Photoshop program after installing the entire Creative Suite: Premium Production 6. All other programs work, but with Photoshop it says that the program is "locked or in use by another user". I need this fixed immediately.

I am unable to open my Photoshop program after installing the entire Creative Suite: Premium Production 6. All other programs work, but with Photoshop it says that it "Could not open a scratch file because the file is locked, you do not have necessary access permissions, or another program is using the file. Use the 'Properties' command in the Windows Explorer to unlock the file." Then I select "OK" and the next message comes up "Could not initialize Photoshop because the file is locked, you do not have the necessary permissions, or another program is using the file. Use the 'Properties' command in the Windows Explorer to unlock this file. I installed all of the programs on the same day from a CD. I need this fixed immediately.
I am not interested in switching to Creative Cloud, so don't even suggest it. I spoke to Mashmi (or something to that effect) on the "Support" Chat and there was absolutely no support. Useless actually.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Problem with Photoshop CS4 after migration to new Mac

I just migrated from an old Mac to a new Macbook Pro running Mavericks. I'm having a problem with Photoshop CS4. Specifically, two things:
    1) When I open an image in Camera Raw, I get this error:
    Fatal error - missing component
    /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Version Cue CS4/Client/4.0.0/VersionCue.framework
    2) When I try to save anything, it tells me it can't because of a program error.
I've looked around for a solution. Apparently I had to install Java, but that hasn't solved the issue. A couple of people mentioned that reinstalling would work for a similar problem. My problem with that is that my disk is on the other side of the world and my new macbook doesn't have a disk drive anyway. So I logged into my Adobe account hoping to see a download link for software I have licences for, but there isn't one.
So my question is firstly, whether there is a simpler solution to the errors I am getting and, if not, if there's a solution to reinstalling Photoshop CS4 without the disk.
    Thanks!

Did you use Apple's migration tool?  It misses a lot of support files, especially in the Application Support directories.
You'll have to copy those files manually, or reinstall the app.

  • Trouble with Photoshop Elements 8

Every time that I print a photo using Photoshop Elements 8, the photo show vertical lines and the colors are awful. I cannot print a photo using Photoshop Elements 8. I checked the printer and has no any problem. I print all my photos using Windows Photo Viewer. I have no idea what's happening with Photoshop Elements 8. Can anybody help me with this problem?
Thanking you in advance for any help.

Celentano I am sorry but what is the exact error you are receiving when trying to install Photoshop Elements 8?  Also which operating system are you installing it on?

  • Help with Photoshop Elements, I'm new to it?

So I'm just fiddling around with Photoshop Elements, and I have a picture of a crocodile that I'm trying to turn blue, so I'm using the Smart Brush and Blue Sky effect to change his skin colour.
Firstly, is there an easier way to change the colour of something that I'm missing?
Secondly, how do I control the Smart Brush precisely? The thing is his body is about the same colour as the water so when the brush gets to a certain point the entire image turns blue.
So how do I select the crocodile but not the water?
Thirdly, the brush. I can draw with the brush, but then I get the "wait" symbol and my changes vanish. How do I stop this?
Thanks for replies, and I'm sorry for my noobishness, I just got Photoshop Elements yesterday.

You can make the brush cursor larger & smaller with the bracket keys next to the letter p on the keyboard. This affords more control in making the selection.
Use of the Smart brush tool is probably the easiest way to colorize an object. The tool has a buit-in mask. If you look on the Layers palette (Window>tick layer), the black and white rectangle represents the mask.
Left click on the mask, then access the brush tool (the ordinary brush B) and with a black brush paint over the area where the blue spilled over to the water. If you go too far, paint with a white brush to correct.

  • Be grateful for your help with Photoshop Elements which I have been using for several years.

Be grateful for your help with Photoshop Elements which I have been using for several years.  Does Elements need to have access to ‘My Pictures’ on Windows as when I remove Photos from ‘My Pictures’, Elements later, when backing up, gives a message that it is unable to ‘reconnect’ to the same picture on elements.  On other occasions when removing a photo from Elements catalogue I also get a similar message when backing up saying ‘unable to reconnect’.  1. Is there a relationship between Elements and My Pictures and is Elements dependant on    the Windows ‘My Pictures’? 2. Why does some photos in Elements in some cases cause them to multiply e.g. double; triple; quadruple; and on occasions even more?  Is there something I need to do to stop this or an easy way I can remove the multiples without spending hours doing it manually one by one?  Am I doing something wrong? My O/S is Windows XP SP2 and windows Vista on my Laptop.  I have been using Elements 5 and have just purchased Photoshop Elements 8.0. (Upgrade) and about to install it. Be grateful for any advice as I do enjoy using the program if only I can resolve this issue.  I am not a PC wiz and mainly use Elements to catalogue photos from which I compile collections and from them slide shows with music.  Any advice appreciated Sonny.t PS Have tried to post this previously but without success so hoping to see message appear and a +response

The organizer doesn't care where you send your photos when you download them via the downloader or where they happen to be when you first bring them in if you use the Get Photos command, but once your pics are in the Organizer, you *must* move them from within organizer or it can't find them. You don't have to use My Pictures at all if you don't want to, but regardless of the folder where you put your photos, if you want them someplace else, you use organizer to do it.

  • What a disgrace Adobe with Photoshop Elements 13

I brought Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 trusting the garbage Adobe went on about it only to find you go and install it and it won't get pass Payloads Adobe Elements 13 Organizer it just fails as a small business I ended up trying to install it on 4 different computer using Windows 8 and 8.1 64 bit and nope the same thing happens I even trying installing the 32 bit program same thing you can not get pass Payloads Adobe Elements 13 Organizer as far as customer support it appears there is none you can't contact anyone at Adobe to get you money back they just don't care. I have gone back to using my old version Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 it works and no issues. I recommend no one buys Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 until Adobe fixes the issues and most of all provide the customers proper support. I wont my money back for a software program that is useless and I can't use. They say you have 90 days from time of purchase to request a refund well what a pack of lies that is as you CAN NOT GET ONTO ANYONE AT ADOBE if you do get on  to some one they will tell you your 90 days has expired this is that they think of there customers world wide.
I'd rate Adobe 0 = for the program and I'd rate their customer service 0 and never buy another product from them.

I agree with you about the lack of customer support. I was able to install it with no problems but when I wanted to print to one of my printers I had a lot of problems. I can only print to one of the printers and it won't print correctly. I contacted Support and chatted with one of the people. I was told that only the forums take care of Photoshop Elements. I also wish that I had stayed with Photoshop Elements 11. After installing 13 the printer issues are in my photoshop elements 11 program. I certainly would not recommend anyone purchasing an Adobe product because of the lack of support.
