You will need to configure both PBXs for ISDN PRI as described at;

Note the correct command is "isdn incoming-voice voice" and not "modem" as the documentetion wrong in this.

Problem: Deploy a SSO Third Party Integration Adapter in Portal

A user want to deploy a SSO third party integration adapter (Novell Access Gateway) in Portal (AS v10.1.2.0.2). And used method in Note 430877.1. They can login through Novell Access Gateway and login Portal, but when click search user button, there always show a blank IE. And no error log. How to resolve? Thanks.

I have found out that in SAP Portal it must be possible to create a new system from a par-file which is uploaded to portal before.
I have such a par-file. It is deployed and uploaded to the portal server. And the application which is contained by this PAR is running in SAP Portal. But when I go to
System Administration --> System Configuration --> Portal Content --> right mouse click to folder --> new System from par
then this PAR can not find there.
I have also tried to upload this PAR manually to portal. But the result is the same. This PAR does not exist in the radiobutton-options to create a new System.
Please can anybody tell me how to create a system (or a system-template) from an uploaded PAR-file?

December System Update: Neglect for E-commerce payment gateway in Africa

Nice to know that Adobe BC is getting better day by day. However, what is the purpose of this improvements without support for more payment gateway e.g 2checkout. Africa especially my country- Nigeria is totally alienated regarding payment gateway support. We can't expand our client turnover because of this limitation or better still afraid to take on any Ecommerce projects
We'll suggest the team put in place a stop gap measure (in form of custom payment gateway) or improve support for payment gateway that can cover Africa.

I am also having one question relating to this thread.
We are using Oracle Applications 11.5.10.
We have a Business Requirement to send Approved Purchased Orders to Supplier in XML format.
We have made all the required setup to generate the PO in XML format using XML Gateway, which places the XML message in a queue.
Our design expert has suggested us to use Oracle Applications Interconnect for sending the message to the supplier through AQ adapter (From Oracle Apps to Interconnect) and HTTP adapter (from Interconnect to supplier).
As per my knowledge (read in Oracle documentation) this can be done using Oracle Transport Agent (OTA), which comes with Oracle XML Gateway and also I believe that OTA is tightly integrated with Oracle XML gateway and we can easily track the status of the message.
When contacted our design expert he told that there are some advantages of using Interconnect but I didn't understand his argument well, may be because I am very much new to using Oracle Interconnect.
I will be grateful if somebody could tell me, how advantageous is using Interconnect over Oracle Transport Agent (OTA) (please note we are not doing any modifications to the message generated by XML gateway, we are transferring as it is).

Wiring Vehicle Loop Detector into a Cisco Gateway

Does any one know how a vehicle loop detector can be integrated into a Cisco gateway device? Specifically we have an HID R90 I class, a request to exit loop detector and 1 Vehicle gate already in place. How can this be wired and integrated into a Cisco Gateway?

Your loop detector should probably be directly wired to the gate operator and bypass the Cisco gateway. You should receive annunciation from a limit switch on the gate operator to an input on the Cisco gateway to know what state the gate is in.

I think your file not reach the xi.
If sender side you are using SOAP(HTTP protocal) you cant see the message in sender communication.
It will directly put the file into integration engine.using TCP gateway you will get the file which you passed.

BE6000 and SIP trunk

Now we use Cisco IP telephony based on Cisco CME. Cisco CME is installed on 2821 router with IOS C2800NM-ADVENTERPRISEK9-M, Version 12.4(24)T7. A SIP trunk is configured between CME router and telephony provider.
We plan to upgrade our telephone system and begin using Cisco CBE6000. I study the documentation and in "Cisco Business Edition Unified Communications and Collaboration Solutions for Small and Midsized Companies", I find that for SIP trunk to works in CBE6000 a Cisco Integrated Services Router with Cisco Unified Border Element is required. Or other quote from this document "Public switched telephone network (PSTN) connections using SIP is available through any Cisco Integrated Services Router voice gateway".
In this regard there is a question: what is the functions of this router when I make a trunk between CBE6000 and telephony provider SIP gateway and whether it is possible to use existing Cisco 2821 router as such router.

I too have a somewhat similar query.
We have UC560 running currently at our company, the UC560 is connected to an ISDN modem from the network provider. We are now upgrading to BE6000. To connect to the ISDN E1/T1 line, we've ordered Cisco 2921 with a E1/T1 VWIC card (VWIC3-2MFT-T1/E1) which will connect to BE6000 and internal LAN. I just wanted to know what would I need to configure on 2921?
Do I need to install CUBE or just configure it to connect to ISDN line?

Cisco dial-peer path selection with "preference"

for a test lab environment i'm testing the integration between cisco voice gateway 3925 and third party voice gateway by means of isdn PRI.
here the connection schema:
PSTN (emulated)-----> port0/0/0-Cisco3925-port0/0/1 <------- Third party Voice Gateway
                                                              |     (ethernet)
                                                      Cisco CUCM (172.23.112.20)
in brief:
- i'm emulating PSTN with a cisco voice gateway, this gateway is connected to cisco3925's port 0/0/0.
- cisco3925's port 0/0/1 is connected to Third party Voice Gateway.
- cisco 3925 speaks with Cisco CUCM in H323.
Now let's go for an incoming call from the PSTN when 3925 has no connection to CUCM, with called number 321672711 (321672... is the GNR of the site):
1. inbound: dial-peer 110 finds match so the called number is transformed to 591711 (it is a DN not registered to SRST cisco gateway)
2. outbound: i expect dial-peer 100 to be matched, because 172.23.112.20 is no more reacheable. From the show call active voice dial-peer 1 is matched as the attached. I need to set preference 1 in dial-peer 100 because when WAN is UP i don't want dial-peer 100 to be matched (and it works). But when WAN is down dial-peer 100 must match. If i remove preference 1, dial-peer 100 finds match; but for correct path selection i cannot remove it.
What am I forgetting?

Hello Marco,
There could be two possibilities:
1. To avoid dial-peer 1 being selected in the dialplan match, when gateway is trying to route the call, you can configure ICMP Probe , which would mark dial-peer as down, in case of WAN failure. So call will use dial-peer 100, automatically, as that will only be an possible match.

2. Ideally default dial-peer hunting mechanism is, Longest - Preference - Random , so as both the dial-peer has same destination pattern, in terms of specific digits and number of wild cards. So it should be looking as preference value of two possible matches, so in this test dial-peer 1 would win. Router will try to route the call using that dial-peer, if fails it should automatically fall back to dial-peer 100 as next choice.
But please note that it will still use dial-peer 1 at first attempt, as dial-peer status is not linked to interface status or WAN status. To verify this theory , you can remove session target command, and you will see that dial-peer 1, is not even selected in match, that's because removing session target command, will mark is as DOWN for outgoing status.
Taking below said debugs would help further, in case configuring ICMP probe is not viable option.

Agents avoiding ACD calls

Hi All,
We have the following issue where the agents are avoiding incoming calls even they are in Ready state on CAD logging in with primary line,what the agents are doing to “avoid calls” is to press the “line 2” which tells the system that they are making an outbound call when they are not. This gives them up to 3 minutes without a call and automatic place them at the bottom of the queue.
I don’t think disabling the “End Call” option button will stop this practice unless it impacts the second line (non-ACD) but it will affect if they need to transfer or put on hold a call.

I once had a similar situation. Ended up with a custom solution, where ICM was transferring calls to agents not by the regular LAA algorithm, but using custom routing. Basically, UCCE was integrated with an Application gateway which injected the list of agents, selected by a custom algorithm, based on a set of restrictions, e.g. availability at the moment, the number of tasks handled that day, etc. The ICM script then tried the first agent on the list, if she/he was not available, tried the next agent, until the end of the list. Finally, the Application Gateway was queried again for the agent list.

Credit Card Authorization in ORPOS

i want to find out if we can authorize credit cards individually during a split tender.
What i want to do is once i am swiping a credit card it should get authorize and comes back to tender option screen as Approved and then swipe the second card and finally it will complete the transaction and print the receipt.
Can anyone suggest what are the required changes needed for this?

What is version that you are using? I believe this is part of base product if it an offline authentication and if you are integrating with any payment gateway, then its up to you how you design it. But as far as I know, even if you integrate it with a payment gateway, as soon as you swipe a card it gets authenticated via payment gateway and then only it will be added into your tender list.

VoIP over satellite link

I configured VoIP on a MPPP with LLQ as a QoS policy in a lab environment, it works fine.
Now I`d like to configure it over a satellite link with 128 Kbps of bandwidth and four channel.
What considerations should I to do in my configurations for it?
Are there some command configs for tunning the QoS in this environment?
I know that the delay between two points through satellite link is 500ms.
Someone has some experience with this case?. I`ll appreciate your suggestions.

i have an internet connection via sat with the following config:
1. 2Mbps down and 1Mbps up.
2. ps4500 sat modem.
3. 2600XM router.
4. AS5400 gateway.
5. its connected to PSTN.
we have about 100 users that use it for calling through PSTN.
Now we like to conffigure QoS/Diffserv for Voice connection and connect about 200 users for normal internet connection.
can anybody tell me what the consumming B/W for 100 calls and what is the best configuration for this senario.
