Integrated Portfolio Planning

Integrated Portfolio Planning with SAP ERP and cProjects(Financials and Capacities)
One can maintain the financial and capacity planning automatically at the portfolio item level with which one can fill the planning views. SAP RPM uploads different type of cost information from a connected ERP system to the respective financial and capacity views. The detailed capacity requirement values from cProjects to the assigned capacity views can be copied.  There are a number of standard reports that help in the process. The report /RPM/PLAN_INT_PREP re-instantiates the financial and capacity categories that are defined in the Customizing as templates for the planning objects involved if the settings in the Customizing have been changed. For each combination of category, group, planning view, period type and planning period, the system generates a plan line item in the respective planning data tables. The reports /RPM/FIN_PLAN_INT and /RPM/CAP_PLAN_INT reports post the financial and capacity planned values to the respective planning objects.
Rollup functionality is an important functionality in PPM in which the financials and capacities are rolled up at the item level to the bucket level. The report /RPM/BUCKET_ROLLUP report summarizes the financial and capacity planning data of the portfolio items to the superordinate portfolio buckets.
One can determine financial planned values on the basis of cost or revenue rates that have been planned and maintained in cProjects. The integration enables one to calculate the required portfolio item budget on the basis of the capacity requirements that have been planned in cProjects without having to use the multilevel controlling. The mapping consists of three steps namely: 1) Financial view, financial category and financial group 2) Cost/revenue rate 3) Capacity view, capacity category and capacity group.
One can also derive the financial planned values from the role capacity planning in cprojects. The requirements and staffing are valuated with a cost or revenue rate that is directly assigned to the respective project roles or project role staffing in cProjects.
One can also map the capacity views to cost items in a similar way that is done for the financial values. Now capacity planned values are derived from assigned cost categories. In addition to the activity input planning, one can also use the project role requirements and role staffing that have been planned in cprojects to fill the capacity view that has been specifically defined for this purpose at the portfolio item level.

Hello Tim,
in BI Integrated Planning you can
- use multiple hierarchies
- not plan on nodes/sub-totals
- run a planning function to create all possible combinations
- not use popups

  • Typekit portfolio plan not working

    CREATIVE CLOUD
A Portfolio plan is included with all the Creative Cloud desktop apps, web services, and much more.
    STARTING AT
    $2999/month
    VIEW PLANS
    Learn more
I notice when i am on typekit.com that my plan is the "free plan", I do have a photography app subscription (lightroom and photoshop) which is $9.99.
However when i click view plans, I see the photography plan listed. From everything above that i can see, I should be given access to the portfolio typekit plan.
It says "all the Creative Cloud desktop apps, web services".
I have 2 Creative Cloud Desktop Apps, tick.
I see my plan is on the "view plans" page, tick.
Yet why is it that I have no access to the Portfolio plan? Did someone make an error while doing the copy to on TypeKit.com? and did someone add the plan to the page when it shouldn't be listed there? I've had hell with TypeKit ever since buying this license. Is there something i'm doing wrong here?

    Hi Shaune,
I am sorry for the confusion here.  The plan information on the Typekit page is referring to the Complete Creative Cloud program, which includes Typekit Portfolio.   I'll ask the team to clarify the text, so it's clear we are referring to that $29.99 USD/month subscription.
The CC Photography Plan comes with a Typekit Free plan (previously named "Trial plan"):

If you'd like to use Typekit Portfolio with your Photography Plan, you would need to upgrade Typekit separately from Creative Cloud:

  • ODI Integration - Hyperion Planning inbound to GL

    ODImates,
I am designing a full integration (2 way-sided) from EBS-GL to Hyperion Planning and Hyperion Planning back to EBS-GL.
The first side is almost finished, I extract the information from GL and create the specific format used by OTL Loader to update both metadata and data.
But my problem is when I want to reverse Planning application data and return it to update GL... I had no information of how ODI can do such thing. Or maybe anyone can give me some idea of how create Open interfaces to accomplish that task in an automated way.
Hope to know about you soon

You will need to extract the data from essbase and load into a staging area where it can be transformed for going back into EBS.
I wrote an article on extracting essbase data with ODI in the past - http://john-goodwin.blogspot.com/2008/12/odi-series-extracting-data-from-essbase.html

  • Integrating Financial Plan types from Primavera to OP

    Hi All,
We have the requirement of sending 3 financial plan types ( budget class financial plan) from Primavera to OP. And existing PIP functionality only supports the integration of a single financial plan types. How to go ahead on customising to send these 3 financial plan types using the functionality supplied by the PIP
from Primavera to OP. Eg: One financial type is sent across from Primavera to OP when a project is created.
At the end of each financial period, another financial plan needs to be sent from Primavera to Oracle Projects, which is effectively part of a forecast i.e. cost of work done to date.
Any pointers/ guidance on how to go about the above?
    Thanks in advance,

  • MRS - CRM Integration:  Resource Planning Node for CRM demands

    Hi all,
We have a multi backend scenario where MRS 800 add-ons (ECC and NW add-on) have been installed in ECC. Demands can come from the ECC PM/CS orders or from the CRM system as Service orders.
For PM/CS orders, from the work center of the activity or operation, the system determines the planning node and assigns the demand to that planning node. But we need help in identifying the Evaluation Path for determining the Resource Planning Node for demands coming from CRM. Currently we have to manually select the CRM Service Order to be able to view the demands in the MRS planning board.
The service organization structure has been created manually in CRM and is not available in ECC system. We are unable to identify which organization structure can be used as resource planning structure (in the Planning board which is in ECC) for CRM service orders.
Please provide your inputs on these two issues in the MRS-CRM scenario:
    1. What is the evaluation path for determining the Resource Planning Node for demands coming from CRM system?
    2. Which organization structure can be used as resource planning structure (in the Planning board which is in ECC) for CRM service orders?
I would appreciate any help in this regard.
    Thank you!

  • Integration HP Planning and Budgeting to Oracle eBS.

    hey guys,
i am very new to Hyperion and i want to know how to integrate Hyperion Planning and Budgeting to Oracle eBS.
    thanks and regards,
    Rahul.

    Hello,
Unfortunately there is no prebuilt package that makes "Planning the source for OracleEBS". Right now the ERPi software you are looking at will only control budgetting information. You can review the current compliance of the software by doing a review of the documentation under the chapter "Data Write-back Rules".
If you are looking to source pure data from Planning into OracleEBS then a custom solution will need to be developed and maintained outside of the Hyperion software .... or built to plug into the Hyperion Software (like ODI).
    Thank you,

I have data in 2 IC like below:
    IC : Current*
    *FiscalPEriod    Amount*
    2011.01          100
    2011.02          100
    2011.03          100

    Master Data for Forcaste Version:
    *Forecaste Version         FLAG*
    2011.04                   Prior
    2011.05                   Current
Now while creating Query, I need one KF called "Current Forecast Amount", So I need to go to master data and see forecast version against 'Current' and go to forecast cube abd selecet Amount under that Forcast Version. I did it with the help of Customer exit variable on Forcast Version. so its displaying data as below(From fiscalperiod 2011.05 it will pick 300):
    2011.01     2011.02     2011.03   2011.04   2011.05    2011.06    2011.07   2011.08   2011.09   2011.10   2011.11   2011.12
                                300         300           300           300          300          300          300         300
Now requirement is to seamless integrate actuals with forcast data. Like let's take KF "Current Forecast Amount" we created above, so it should display data like below in the KF( From 2011.01 to 2011.04 it;s 100 from ACTUAL IC, from 2011.05 to 2011.12 it's 300 from Forcaste IC) :
    ===Data from Actual IC==========      =================Data from Forecaste Cube==========================
    2011.01     2011.02     2011.03 2011.04 || 2011.05 2011.06 2011.07 2011.08 2011.09 2011.10 2011.11. 2011.12
    100        100      100      100     ||  300      300        300      300         300         300     300      300
This Query has no variable restriction it means this will display data from all the years. And structure of the KF section is as below:
    Fiscal Period
    KF's.......
    Current Forecast Amount
Can we achieve this at query level? Please help me, I am stuck here.

    Hi Suman,
Thank you for your reply. Users will be using this query dynamically ( no parameters at all in the query). I need to find a dynamic solution for this.
Do you have any idea for below question:
Let's say my Column structure is as below:
    FiscalYear Period
    KF's
    Amount
and we run this query without any parameter, and we get out as below:
    2001.01     2001.02 .................2001.12............................2002.05..........................2010.01
    100           100                        10                                      20                                         30
Can we know by any chance what's the current value of fiscal year period for KF amount any time? Any way to find this?
If I get this value, I will be able to derive my KF.
    Regards
    Aman

  • Integrated planning help

Hello iam new to integrated planning i would like to know how do we create plan data?what type of data is in realtime cube?what do we in aggregate level and what do in planning sequence.
    Thanks
    komal

    Hi Komal,
We do no create any plan data. Real time data which we input from an input ready query is stored in a real time cube on an aggregation basis. This is done using an input ready query.Aggregation level is like a data slice used for specific data.
    Let us take an example.
You have entire sales data of a company in a cube. Let us suppose u have managers of different hierarchies like regional manager, account manager and general manager. Each of them would have their own set of data. For restricting other groups to view individual data, we use the aggregation levels. To filter the data further, we use filter alongside the aggregation level. To do calculations on the data we get from aggregation level , we use planning functions where we use fox formula to manipulate data as per our needs. To integrated different planning functions in sequential order, we use planning sequence.
Say suppose we have three tasks
    1.creating info object
    2.creating cube
    3.loading data
Each of the step is similar to a planning function, which will have specific steps to be followed .And planning sequence will be something like a process chain, where we put each of these in a sequential order to be executed .
We use planning sequences in WAD buttons to create planning applications.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards
    Snehith.

  • Can I cancel my creative cloud plan but keep typekit?

Is it possible to cancel my creative cloud plan but maintain my current typekit account?
I've had my Typekit plan since before Adobe purchased them, once I signed up for Creative Cloud the plans were combined.
I now no longer need my CC account but I still need to maintain my Typekit account in order to continue to support existing websites.
I can't find any info on this as a procedure or any obvious was of achieving this through the CC interface.
    Any help much appreciated.

    Hey N1cco_L,
We're happy to hear that you want to keep using Typekit! It is possible to change your account to a standalone Typekit Portfolio plan, but takes some assistance from our engineering team right now.
I think I have just replied to a support email from you, but if not: please send the Adobe ID that you use for Typekit to [email protected] so that we can get this taken care of for you.
