Integrating a fax machine into CUCM 9

Dear All,
We've having a new request concerning Fax Machines integration.
Kindly confirm the possibility of integrating an existing fax machine into CUCM 9
we have a CUCM 9 cluster with Voice gateway  includng E1 ISDN PRI.
If possible kindly provide details about protocols and feasibikity.
Awaiting your feedback,

Hi.
If faxes flow is not so high, you can consider ONRAMP and OFFRAMP VG application.
Here is a doc.

  • Integration of client machines into Win2003 DC

    Hi everyone,
we have a eDirectory and ZW 7 environment with server based profiles and Windows XP client machines. Everythings just fine at the moment but now we want to integrate the client machines with a newly set up Windows 2003 SP 2 Domain Controller.
It is possible to register the clients with the domain and users that have previously worked on a specific machine are able to login as usual. But if a user that has not worked on this machine before, tries to log on he is forced to provide credentials for the local machine.
What could be the problem? What would you do?
Here are some facts that describe the setting further:
Active Directory support is enabled on the Windows 2003 server
We have a DNS set up on the Domain Controller
DHCP is provided by the Novell Server
We do not plan to switch the user accounts to the Windows Domain Controller
    Your support is highly appreciated.
    Best regards, Philipp.

I don't see how adding the devices to the domain changes anything?
User's can still logon the the PC using a Local Account instead of a Domain
    Account.
I presume you were using DLU in the past to create the local accounts, you
    can still do that.

  • Integration of Cisco Fax Server with CUCM

Need some help with regards to the setup of Cisco Fax Server. I have Cisco Fax Server 9.4 Enterprise Suite which will be installed on Cisco 7816 server. Now my concern is with the integration of Fax server with CUCM. I have CUCM Ver 7. Could anyone tell me what configuration is required on CUCM and I believe we need to have dial-peer on the Voice gateway as well pointing to the Fax server. If anyone has deployed then please let me know the configuration on CUCM & the voice gateway.

    Hi..
Thank u so much guys. I was mostly looking out for the integration of Fax server with CUCM, so i think this document should help. I has this document with me but had few doubts. Hopefully it should be cleared now. I will be doing the implementation later next week so i will keep you updated. Anyway thank u so much once again.
    Regards,
    Joy

  • Relay Mail from FAX Machine to the Outside World via GMAIL

Hey everyone, I am not really sure I am in the right place here, but I am tired of running into a brick wall over this issue.
    Here is my basic issue:
I have a fax machine that supports a functionality known as Fax to email. The machine is new, but Ricoh (5510nf) does not seem to be up on things when it comes to configuration.
The machine does not support SSL authentication, and for that matter I believe it requires an open relay to work (that is what Ricoh told me).
So what I need is for the fax machine to use the OS X mail services (or any service/program...) to send a scanned image along the net to the recipient's address. So I log into the fax machine via it's internal address, and the settings of the fax machine include the following:
    SMTP Server:
    POP Server:
    Host Name:
    E-Mail Address:
    Domain Name:
    Account Name:
    Password:
    Reception Interval(min.)
At first I thought this was going to be a no brainer, but it turns out that I am the no brainer.
The OS X Server is not really setup to do anything but serve files right now. It is not setup with DNS or other such services.

According to the available parameters you posted, the Fax machine supports authentication. This should be good enough to send through a mail server. It certainly does not require an open relay to send.
However, given that gmail requires SSL, you are indeed stuck. That said, I am not sure setting up your own mail server just for this makes lots of sense. Running a mail server has implications. You need to secure it to make sure it is not abused and it also requires a certain amount of maintenance.
I would rather try and use your ISP's SMTP server. Most likely they allow for sending without SSL and with authentication. Should this not be an option (unlikely), report back and I can try and help you to get your mail server up and running.

    Alex

To exempt ephone 68 from call-blocking; you need to add after-hour exempt on ephone68, check this link for further explanations:

  • Re: newer iMac (mid-2010 w/Snow Leopard) fax operation w/o external fax machine

Noting that Apple no longer offers an external USB fax modem product, are similar kinds of devices (like, for example, USRobotics5637 or Zoom3095) reliable for sending (via the print menu in OS X 10.6.x applications) and receiving?
An existing "automatic fax switch" is already connected to the landline, and it routes incoming calls now to the phone handset (after initially listening for incoming fax handshaking signals, which it is assumed would be routed to the iMac -- where they are archived and displayed is yet to be determined) or to the voice answering machine if the handset isn't picked-up after a few rings.  This has been serving admirably as a way to screen incoming calls, BTW!)).  My Internet connection is an ISP DSL, which wouldn't come into play if I'm sending/receiving fax via landline, at "dial-up" speeds and protocols through te external USB fax modem, as I understand it.
My understanding is that the USB external fax modem would be connected to a USB port (USB keyboard or rear panel of the iMac) and the RJ11 connector on the other end of that fax modem would be connected to RJ11 "fax modem" receptical on the existing "automatic fax switch".  I'm guessing that the "automatic fax switch" would go off-hook and dial up the phone number of the distant fax machine, from phone number data provided in the "send a fax" set-up invoked when "send a fax" is selected as a "print" option in an OS X 10.6.x application.
Please advise if the equipment and scenario described, and elaborate on anything I'm missing, will work for the intended goal.
    thanks,
    dL

  • I am trying to import Firefox bookmarks from a Windows machine into Firefox on an Apple. I do not want to use Safari. How do I do this?

am trying to import Firefox bookmarks from a Windows machine into Firefox on an Apple. I do not want to use Safari. How do I do this?
I have, on my HP laptop, running XP Pro, using Firefox 4.0, went under bookmarks to show all bookmarks. A window opens up that says library. I then go to import and back up, and I choose export HTML. I then move this file over to my new Mac Pro. On my Mac Pro I also have Firefox 4.0. I go up under bookmarks, show all bookmarks, import HTML. It lets me browse and I find the file on the desktop, I select it then nothing happens. I am not interested in using Safari. I would like to continue using Firefox. However, as an experiment, I followed the same process except on my Apple computer I opened up Safari and tried to import in the Firefox bookmarks. It came up with an error saying the file could not be accessed. I then thought perhaps the file got corrupted, so I went back to my Windows Firefox and re-exported the bookmarks again. Same problem. So, am I creating the bookmarks incorrectly on my Windows machine?
    Thanks,
    Kent

Probably your Mac cannot understand the Windows html format, please try the following to see if it helps:
In your PC, export the bookmarks in html as you did in your post. After you have saved it, change the name of the file to “bookmarks.html” and save it again.
In your Mac, import the saved file as you posted.

  • Query on integrating windows file server into SAP KM using WEBDAV

    hi
I have sucessfully integrated windows file server into SAP KM using WEBDAV. I have query in it regarding the possible validation against the portal Database user. Can we configure such that the user comparison happens for LDAP as well as database user. Have anyone configured such a scenario?
    Regards,
    Ganesh N

    Hi Ganesh,
    this should work in principle.
However you would need a user in Active Directory for each user in the portal database that should connect to the file server if you are using the SSO22KerbMap Module as I assume.
In my whitepaper I have mentioned this for the internal user index_service that does only exist in the portal database.

  • Couldn't complete tutorial 'Integrating EJB 3.0 into Web Dynpro ...'

    Hi All,
I am trying to complete the “Integrating EJB 3.0 into Web Dynpro Using the EJB Model Importer” tutorial that goes with SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 SP3 Developer Studio.
Does anyone ever completed this tutorial because I have problems completing it. The result is very important for me because I need to use this technology for my essay.
In this tutorial you create a button that calls the method StudsBean.getStudent(String). In this method the object student is created and it will be returned. In several labels the information of the returned student should be displayed. But that doesn’t happen, when I push the button no error occurs but the labels are still empty. When I try to debug the Enterprise Bean and Web Dynpro application I see that the method StudsBean.getStudent(String) is called and the property’s are set and the student object is returned, but still it isn’t displayed.
After discussing this with a colleague I tried to search for a solution on the SDN and of course Google. First I thought I would be a bug but I only found 2 people with the same problem. I found it remarkable because it’s one of the key subjects of Java EE 5 and it’s a tutorial displayed in the welcome page of the Developer Studio.
So do you people think it’s a bug in WebDynpro? Because I am sure that I followed all the steps mentioned (a colleague checked it even).
    Regards,
    Sander

    Hi Sander,
I guess, it's not a bug in Web Dynpro, maybe it's a bug in the tutorial
I tried something similar, but not following the tutorial and it works. I wasn't able to call the model from the view controller and I guess that's the problem. Take the code from the init-method of the view controller and put it to the component controller's init -method and the code inside the onActionGetStudent and put it into a method you create in the component controller, too. From onActionGetStudent just call this method in the component controller with some code like this:
    wdThis.wdGet<your component controller's name>.<your method's name>;
    Hope this helps
    Kind regards
    Stefanie

  • I installed Firefox 2 days ago (Windows Vista)& my fax machine / HP 6700 will not accept faxes now, how do I correct this problem?

my fax machine will not receive a fax.
Is there some sort of firewall or something preventing this?
or a control panel somewhere where I choose this option?
I re set the fax machine and that did not help.
None of your tutorials helped either. I could not find anything related.
I am a small business and need my fax machine.

Contact HP to set up your Fax, as edmister said.
Browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome) have no interaction with your fax machine, faxes are analog technology run over telephone lines, browsers are digital technology, that while it can be run over a phone line (like in DSL) Has no impact on your fax.

  • How do I convert a Time Capsule former Time Machine into an external drive?

I want to convert my 2TB Time Capsule (which I formerly used as a Time Machine) into an external drive.  I now have a 3TB which I have set up as the Time Machine thus freeing the 2TB to hopefully work as an external drive.  The 2TB now sits with the old Time Machine backup data intact but I no longer need that backup.  I had it hooked up to my modem but not have hooked the ethernet up to my desktop (is that right?).  Please advise how to prep the 2TB Time Capsule to be a normal external drive.

    1) How do I turn the wireless on the TC on or off? Where do I go to change the settings.
Spend some time in the airport utility.. the easiest way is simply go through every screen until you are familiar with the controls.
Open airport utility.. click the TC.. click edit.
Click the wireless tab. Click on Network mode.. select Off..
    2) I found the Touro 4TB and the price is quite inexpensive compared to other 3 and 4TB units. What's the reason for that? Am I missing something in the specs? They offer a Touro Deskpro and a Touro DX3. I can't tell from the description what the difference is - I can't see beyond 4TB. Is one preferable over the other?
They are competing with better known brands.. ask anybody hard disk brands they know.. and either Western Digital or Seagate come to mind. People easily forget there was hitachi (ex IBM). Although Hitachi sold their disk division but due to anti-trust laws it could not be sold entirely to WD who bought half of it.. Toshiba bought the other half. WD tries to hide the Hitachi drive name to bury it.. they bought to bury. But Toshiba keeps it alive.
I actually buy Hitachi drives (Toshiba now) in preference to the others. But everyone has their favourite. The Touro are just good value for money.. the case is not exactly the work of art.. buy LaCie for that. It is a bit over large and the plastic is plasticiky, if you get my drift. Silver plated plastic to make it look like metal is not my favourite.. but I am hardly concerned with the look..!! It looks like an external hide drive.. hide it if you find it ugly.
The difference between the Touro Pro and the Touro DX3 4TB drives is the speed of the drives, the pro is 7200rpm and the the DX3 should be 5400rpm.
I am not 100% sure of the above..  but it is likely to be different drives.. We have not seen DX3 in our market until recently.. they were all pro.
None with bigger than 4TB at this point..
    3) OWC - never heard of this group - are the hard drives dependable in your experience?
Retailers who sell Touro and Toshiba and LaCie and every other brand.. sell online and to overseas.. good prices if not the cheapest.. have their own lines of shells, as well selling all the others.. have their own brand SSD but obviously bought in from elsewhere.. RAM, kits for all sorts of things.. huge catalog and very Apple orientated.
I am amazed if you have been on a Mac for more than 5min.. google ads have not flashed up OWC 20 times.. you must have good resistance to advertising.
Please google OWC.. if I post their actual URL the post will get deleted.
Look up say external drives.. they have one zillion of them.

  • Imported old computer via time machine into new 2012 macbook pro, but its still running ilife 09 instead of 11?

imported old computer via time machine into new 2012 macbook pro, but its still running ilife 09 instead of 11?

I am assuming you had iLife 09 on the old computer - when you moved everything over, that came along with it.
I also have older versions of iLife (on install disks) and just recently got a new 2012 Macbook Pro. I noticed that iMovie 11, iPhoto and Garageband (I think) are listed in my Mac App Store Purchases with a notation to "accept". So you might want to check MAS to see if the apps are sitting there.
Now, I have chosen not to accept them for now for two reasons: I have iLife 11 on a disk and prefer that rather than having it tied to MAS/Apple ID and as long as I have my disk version installed, I also still have iDVD which I use a lot. I'm not sure if "accepting" those three from MAS would wipe out my iLife 11 installs including iDVD (which would be unacceptable for me). So, since I already have the latest version, I've opted to ignore the "accept" and, in fact, will leave it like that - if I ever sell this machine, the buyer can then accept them if they want with their own Apple ID. So before accepting the apps (if they are listed in MAS), you might want to check to make sure that your iLife install isn't wiped out - that is, if you have iDVD and want to keep it.
