Integrating As a Third-Party Provider

I work for a third-party application provider that is considering the feasibility of integrating with Oracle Portal. Does registration as a third-party provider require the transference (delivery) of all of only our meta-data our all of our content onto Oracle's servers? Is there any way we can be integrated as a third-party application into Oracle Portal, but still be able to host our content? Thanks for any information you can provide. This is an urgent request. Thanks!
Jack

Thanks for your interest! To answer your first question: No, transferring metadata or data to Oracle servers certainly isn't typical, nor is it at all a requirement in order to become a third-party provider! You can certainly host your content directly from your firm..
Is your company planning to provide portlets to the community of Oracle9iAS Portal customers? If so, then feel free to learn more about how your firm can join The Oracle Portal Partners Initiative.
On the other hand, if you are just thinking of hosting content for your own intranet for display thru your own installation of Oracle9iAS Portal, you won't need to have any of Oracle's own servers involved at all! To test things out, we do, however have a site available called portalstudio.oracle.com, which allows customers to test and present how one might integrate web content into an Oracle 9iAS Portal installation.

  • Data of Pop Up (Third Party Provider) is not copied over to SAP CRM Web UI

    Hi Experts,
we have created a Function Group (ZDI_PAYMENT) and have defined  FM ZDI_PAYMENT_SET to set data into the variables of this Function Group and FM ZDI_PAYMENT_GET to retrieve data out of the same variables.
Process is as follows: A customer wants to pay with his credit card but credit card can not be saved on the Service Order. So that is why a token is created and this token is saved on the Service Order. To create this token SAP CRM is connected via HTTP Connection to a third party provider. When user needs a token he pushes a button and a pop up is openened. This pop up is already provided by third party provider and in this pop up the user introduces credit card number and on the same pop up the token is visible and just has to be copied over to the SAP CRM View.
Problem now is that when we made testing we found out that for some user it works fine and FM ZDI_PAYMENT_GET gets actually the values for token and data is copied over to SAP CRM but for others it does not work. So we think it has to be to do with the browser settings but we are not really sure.
    Has anybody experience with that?
    Regards,

    Hi Experts,
we found out already what was the problem. We have used a URL to log in into the SAP CRM that has a port. Log In Link should be without Port.

  • RBS Third Party Provider with Sharepoint

Our SharePoint content database size is increasing day by day...we are assuming it will reach upto 1 TB. currenty the size is 136 GB. We are launching the application in different location. My company plans to use RBS for this.
In technet website, for using RBS(remote Blob Storage) with Sharepoint 2010 below is the recomendataion:-
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/6a13cd9f-4b44-40d6-85aa-c70a8e5c34fe(v=office.15)#ContentDB
For using Remote BLOB Storage (RBS), the total volume of remote BLOB storage and metadata in the content database must not exceed the 200GB limit.
    <//span>
I want to know that the 200 GB limitation is only fo FileStream RBS which microft provide with SQL server or this limitation is valid for third party providers (like Metalogix,
    AvePoint and others).

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you have an issue about the limitation for the RBS third party provider.
Per my knowledge, the 3rd party RBS Providers do not have this limitation if they are not leveraging SQL FILESTREAM feature.
However, to determine the capabilities and limitations of third-party providers, it is recommend to contact the provider manufacturer.

  • SAP R/3 integration with (Manual) Third-party App

    Hi All
I am working on a scenario in which Third Party application has functionality which actually refines & correct the data upto the accuracy of 99%. So for this end-user needs to enter bit of information on their front-end then application will return the data on the basis of that information.
Now the problem has different parts  -->
*) If I choose that SAP R/3 will initiate the ( Synchronous ) process then ABAPers raised the concern that they will not be able to display the response data on correct SAP screen also how to actually access the front-end of Third party.
Third-Party is ready to replace the Front-end with the web-service but then end-user will not be having the functionlity to select different options which is the strong part of Third-party application & also client is not agree to that.
Do you think I should use BPM in above solution with correlation on some field to identify the SAP screen.
*) If I choose Third Party application to initiate the ( Asynchronous ) process then again ABAPers raised the concern that how to display it on the correct SAP screen & how they know that data is coming at this point of time & they need to display it. Also Third Party said in this case they don't have expertise to customize their Front-end application & which will lead to additional cost to hire other developers.
Now can you suggest some good solutions for this kind of scenario in which an application needs the Manual intervention & needs to be integrated with SAP R/3. Also suggest from which direction I should initiate the process.
    Thanks
    - Lalit Chaudhary -

    Matias
<<<< with front-end do you refer to SAP R/3 ?
No Matias with Front-End I meant Third Party is providing the web-page where end-user can enter the details & those will be refined & corrected by the Third-Party Application.
<<<<< Which ways has the Third-Party app to connect with (file, database, jms, etc.).
Third-Party App is providing Java Classes & Web-Services for integration but we don't want to access them directly, first of all we would like to invoke/access the Front-end application.
<<<< What is the purpose of this third-party app ? just to receive data, validate it and return it once it is corrected ?
Actually in this Front-end user can enter the data on given fields & data will be keep on refining while he is entering the more information into that given field. For e.g if the field says "City" & user enters "DE", a drop-down will come with all the cities in the world starting with "DE" like Delhi, Denmark etc.Once all the fields are populated with correct data user will click on "Submit" button which will send the data to SAP R/3 ( which we wish to do ).
Now in this case when user will click on Submit button ( means Third-party will initiate the process ) & data will be send to XI using ( for e.g ) HTTP sender then ABAPer's raised concern that how they will be able to show it in the right screen without using proper thread ID.
Pls. let me know in case you require any further information. My problem is this how to relate the Third-Party data with correct screen of SAP.
    Thanks

  • Signing Bouncy Castle or third party provider's jar file with signtool

    Hi,
I am using JDK 1.4.2 and bouncy castle as a provider for RSA.
It worked fine until recently when my company asked me to compile and build the jar from the source code from bouncy castle, instead of using the binary version provided in their website.
But I only have a certificate obtained from Verisign. So I used signtool 1.3 from netscape to sign the jar file, which could be verified by jarsigner. But when use this one signed by my company's certificate. it didn't work. The exception is
java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException: Cannot find any provider supporting RSA/
    ECB/PKCS1Padding
    at javax.crypto.Cipher.getInstance(DashoA6275)
When I switch back to the signed jar file provided by bouncy castle, everything worked ok again.
It looks that jar file is not recognized properly.
Can anyone tell me if I can use the signtool to sign the provider's jar file? Or I have to sign with jarsigner?
    Thanks for the help.

    Thanks for your reply.
I am reluctant to use the lightweight crypto API
becaues it will be difficult to switch to anther
service provider.True. However, if you switch to another Provider, you'll have the same trouble you're having with BC regarding rebuilding from source.
In BC's website, they don't have "cleanroom" JCE
    listed for JDK 1.4
Can you give some resource for that?Hmmm - no, I can't. I haven't needed the cleanroom impl, so I stopped paying attention to it. I do't know if BC is working on a 1.4-compatible one or not. You might post a note to the dev-crypto mailing list BC runs.
Can I sign BC's jar file by my JCE certificate if I
obtain one from SUN?Unless you're recognized by Sun as a company that does significant security development, you will NOT get a security-signing cert. Several of us have already made the attempt.
The net is, what your bosses are asking for is unreasonable, and is preventing you from getting your job done. If they continue to insist that you build your security code from source, then your CANNOT use the JCE structure, period. In that case, you might as well use the BC lightweight API.

  • Cisco ISE integration with third-party firewalls

Can Cisco ISE be integrated with a third-party firewall (such as Checkpoint), to provide authentication/authorization services to remote VPN user devices (based on device MAC address)?
The remote user would establish a VPN connection to a third-party firewall, based on a username/password authentication, but the user would only be allowed to send/receive traffic to the internal network if the MAC address of the device being used was authorized by Cisco ISE.
    Thank you in advance.

    Rui,
I do not think the vpn client sends the ip address in a called-station-id, that might be the public ip address that the client is initiating the request from. If you have an existing radius server or can run a packet capture you should be able to verify that.
If the client does send the mac address in the radius packet then you can create a custom condition that can be used to check the mac address along with the username to allow it access to the session. However in VPN deployments there is no concept of profiling since 802.1x deployments usually include the client's mac address.
    Thanks,

  • E-Recruitment Third Party Internet Service provider

    Hi Experts
I am implementing e-Recruitment 3.0 at one of client site. Here we are looking out for integration with the third party internet service provider i.e. job sites. Wherein we will able to surf and search external job  site for the suitable resume based on the requirement. These requiremnts are defined in e-Recruitment thru Requisition.
Based on the requisition, we will be search the resume and upload the same into e-Recruitment.
In normal e-Recruitment their is no node for integration with the external service provider.
I am not getting the proper trigger to reach the integration part.
Has anybody done this...?? If yes how did you do it..??
    Regards,
    Anand

    hello anand,
let us take this step by steb ok :
    1. in e-rec 3 there is no functionality for integration with 3rd party service provider.
    2. there is a new role for teh above in ERP2005/ecc6...but I think this role is more for a headhunter to supply resumes of candidates online to your organisation
    3. coming to your requirement, if you have enterprise portal I suggest that :
    a. get the external service provider's link on to ure portal content (an MOU kinda doc needs to be signed between the 2 parties)
    b. then the requestor can search cv's based on the requirement (this still does not solve the issue of integration between your requirements-in-requisition and the content of the service provider)here u have to remember that trex is solely for your e-rec instance only and and cannot be used to ''search'' a service providers content unless the content is already in your e-rec system, which can be achieved by point-c below.
c.in e-rec 3, the alternative I have found was modifying the external candidate bsp page to remove all links except the part where ther profile is uploaded, and creating a unique identifier for all such headhunters to identify the resumes from each of them respectively, and allow access to the custom page thru internet. This worked fine for me,... but a lot still depends on ure client's requirements.
hope the above works for you,.. in any case let me know how u solved the situation
    ciao
    ganti.

  • External web service provided by third party application

    Hi all,
Hope to clarify some doubts on usage of Enterprise Service Repository. I understand that ESR is the storage of service interfaces that may be provided or consume by different systems in the landscape.
If a business process is required to consume an external web service that is provided by a third party application on some web server, does the ESR stores the definition of the web service and provides it to the business process?
Is ESR only a repository for service interfaces that would be implemented by the internal systems?
    Regards

I was looking to confirm my understanding about defining external webservices in Enterprise Repository few weeks back. Though i did not get proper confirmation any one yet on this forum, here is my understanding,
    1. One can define the service interface for the third party webservice in Enterprise Service Repository for the purposes of keeping track of available services in the organization and also to provide some documentation about it for other developers looking to reuse it.
    2. One can also import the WSDL as external definition in to Enterprise Service Repository.
    3. We may not be able to generate proxies for these third party provided applications

  • Where can I find a documentation regarding integration of AdobeConnect with third party ?

    Hi,
I would like to know what are the capabilities of Adobe Connect to be integrated with a third party website.
I have a elearning website and my basic requirement is to have adobe connect installed on our platform so the classroom sessions happen directly in the platform (cf our url should be in the browser).
Also, I was wondering if the classrooms can be organized automatically by the system, without human intervention ?
Please let me know where I can find the appropriate documentation, or whom I should contact to have the information. I am based in India.
    Best regards,
    Kevin

You will need to reference the Web Services API doc found here, http://www.adobe.com/devnet/adobeconnect.html
You should be able to programmatically create rooms and link to content from a 3rd party system.

  • Cannot find embedded third-party .class in my own signed .cab

    Hello,
    This is complicated.
I'm building an applet that operates a piece of hardware on a PC (think Win32-only.) A third-party provider (henceforth referred to as TPP) provides software drivers that will be installed on client machines.
ORIGINALLY the TPP provided a <client>.dll and a C/C++ SDK. To make the project work, I followed the article http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/jw-10-1998/jw-10-apptowin32.html.
I built <homegrown>.DLL using JNI, made a signed <homegrown>.cab, and the applet works just great on IE. However, I have to ditch the entire thing (see below.)
Now the TPP is providing a Java SDK in a <client>.JAR. The SDK interfaces with a <client_jni>.dll.
I can expect that the client machine will have <client>.dll and <client_jni>.dll installed in the \winnt\system32 (or whichever %SYSTEMROOT% directory.)
So, I ditched the <homegrown>.dll, and built a new .cab. Now, to build the .cab, I took the contents of <client>.jar and dumped them into the same directory structure as the one I use to build <homegrown>.cab. Note that <client>.jar is not signed.
So in other words, if you look at the exception below, I, in fact, do have a directory structure that contains: "com/IridianTech/PIDresult.class" and "com/panasonic/authenticam/LoginApplet.class"
When I run the applet, it asks me if I want to run the signed applet. I click Yes. The Java Console responds with the following:
    Error loading class: com.IridianTech.PIDresult
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.IridianTech.PIDresult
         at com/ms/vm/loader/URLClassLoader.loadClass (URLClassLoader.java)
         at java/lang/ClassLoader.loadClassInternal (ClassLoader.java)
         at com/panasonic/authenticam/PIDInterface.<init> (PIDInterface.java:12)
         at com/panasonic/authenticam/LoginApplet.init (LoginApplet.java:52)
         at com/ms/applet/AppletPanel.securedCall0 (AppletPanel.java)
         at com/ms/applet/AppletPanel.securedCall (AppletPanel.java)
         at com/ms/applet/AppletPanel.processSentEvent (AppletPanel.java)
         at com/ms/applet/AppletPanel.processSentEvent (AppletPanel.java)
         at com/ms/applet/AppletPanel.run (AppletPanel.java)
         at java/lang/Thread.run (Thread.java)
I have looked at the contents of <homegrown>.cab with WinZip, and I can see PIDresult.class in the right place.
HOW I AM TESTING: I have IBM Websphere running directly on my PC.
    TWO QUESTIONS:
    1. Do I need to sign the applet anymore, just to use a pre-installed client_jni.dll? (Probably)
    2. WHAT DO I DO??

This is some code i'm using:
    <applet code="upload.class" archive="upload.jar" codebase="." width="500" height="200">
    <!--<param name="codebase" value="."> -->
    <param name="cabbase" value="upload.cab">
    <param name="button_text" value="Upload via HTTP">
    <param name="file_varname" value="filename_value"><!-- where is this for? -->
    <param name="upload_url" value="http://10.2.1.133/upload/recieve.php">
    </applet>

  • Using Third Party Libraries in J2ME IDEs

How easy is it to use functions from a third party library in J2ME IDEs? Is it usually just a matter of including the library or is more configuration involved?
    Thanks for your time.

I had this problem a year ago. I'm surprised it hasn't been fixed yet. Here is what I had to do to create an external library DC for my third-party apis.
    - Create a java library DC.
    - Switch to resource view
    - Edit .dcdef to change component type to Library
    - Edit .project file, Delete Nature Java line
    - Restart IDE so that it shows as Library DC instead of Java
    - Switch to Resource View
    - Get all the third-party jar files into folder structure com
    - Copy and past the root folder into src (this would bring all class files)
    - Add build.vm in cfg folder (content #BuildSecondaryLibrary())
    - Add Public Part for API Reference (the IDE should allow to add the all the classes from the selected folder. You probably will have to select each classes manually. Very problematic when you have a lot of classes from your third-party provider)
    - Build and Deploy
    - Now go to your other project where you want to refer this external library DC
    - Add to the external library DC as used DC (select build and deploy options)
    - Build and Deploy
    - Make sure provider.xml in the sda file has reference to dfc lib (for some reasons the IDE doesn't want to reference the external library DC and just skip it despite the fact that you've selected build and deploy options when you referenced the used DC)
    - If not extract the SDA file, Edit the provider.xml, and zip back. then Build and Deploy

  • SharePoint 2013 on-premises integration with third party email account

the Email sending issue from SharePoint is causing too much time waste
First let me explain how our SharePoint is deployed
    Sharepoint version : 2013
    Deployment type : on-premise
Authentication : from Domain controller also hosted locally
domain name ; say domain.com this domain.com is same as our website address hosted on godaddy
SharePoint computer name on local DNS :  sharepoint.domain.com
    OS and IIS : 2008 r2 , IIS 7.5
Network firewall : 25 26 ports  opened for sharepoint , both incoming and outgoing.
    Server firewall : turned off
Email configuration Attempts by IIS 6.0
We tried following setting on IIS 6.0 SMTP local server properties
    In General tab
qualified name was shown as : sharepoint.dts-solution.com
IP assigned : sharepoint server IP  , advanced putted two entries of IP with ports as 25,26
    In Access tab
    Authentication : selected as Anonymous
Connection : All except below list : empty list
Relay : only the list below , one entry as 127.0.0.1 and other is local static IP of SharePoint server
    in Delivery tab
outbound security : Basic authentication : accessed user in AD and given the right password, also checked with annonymous -not working
outbound connection: all default values and port = 25
Advance : fully qualified domain name = sharepoint.domain.com , DNS test showed success, rest every check box unchecked
    On sharepoint central management settings
    Outbound email = sharepoint.domain.com
from and reply to address = [email protected]
    IIS 7.5 SMTP settings
In IIS 7.5 sharepoint application we added SMTP settings as smtp server = godaddy out going smtp , user name as [email protected] , password = godaddy password , port : godaddy outgoing port  .
    Godaddy account
Our website hosted on godaddy with same name as domain.com
open relay not possible on emails.
    Results
After setting alerts on SharePoint sites and assigning tasks with alerts we receive email in queue folder but they never get forwarded. We just wish to use any of our email *.domain.com to send outgoing emails from SharePoint . Its been a while we have no
    success.
    Tech Learner

    Hi,
As I understand, you are using SharePoint 2013 integrating with third party SMTP server which provides email function.
From SharePoint side, I'd suggest you refer to the link below to configure email integration:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee956941(v=office.15).aspx
If you have already confirm that message is sent from SharePoint, while stuck in queue on SMTP server, then the issue might be related to relay on SMTP server. Since the issue is related to third party product, we do not have enough resource here,
I'd recommend you contact their support engineer for more assistance:
