Hi
I need to show the E-Recruting BSP in the Portal thro an BSP iView
Following are my understanding pls correct me if i am wrong
1) First we need to activate the BSP
2) need to generate the URL
apart from this
we need to create system in portal, for creating this system what are the information i need provide.
Also
we must maintain the following properties in order to display a BSP Application in the portal as an iView:
         System
         CustomerNamespace
         Namespace
         ApplicationParameter
         Application
         Alias
Pls let me know where can i get Customer namespace, NameSpace App Parameter for e-Rec BSPs

Application namespace = sap
customer namespace = sap
Application parameter = sap-language=EN&rcfSpId=0005
(this will depend on the url parameters)
BSP definition type = application
BSP application = hrrcf_start_int ( or any other application name you want to put)
alias you can skip.

Integrating LSo with Portal

Hi All,
I need to integrate LSo in Portal. Can anybody tell me what are the pre-requisites for integrating LSo in Portal ? Is there any document recommended by SAP to follow.
Our requirement is not very extensive. Employees can only pre-book a coruse.
Access to course catalog provided by the company, Access to Pre booking history, Reason for cancellation of training event, providing feedback on training event.
We are using Portal 7.0 SP12, upgraded 4.6c to ECC 6.0. Instaled LSo backend, LSo Front end in ECC 6.0, deployed the bussiness pack for Learning 50.2 in portal.
What are those roles which will be displayed from portal perspective ? Please anybody url/documents for the same.

cFolders url is not working thriugh WebDAV client. Basis investigating on that.
2) Created HTTP system for "cProject " with URL. http://<host name>:<port>
3) Created WebDAV repository with system path /cfol450/dpr
4) Created system in portal for user mapping and mapping is done.
Problem Statement:
The integrated repository is not visible in KM content. When I go to Monitoring->KM->Component Monitoring->Repository Name,
the servers shows "not started" as status.
Troubleshoot Try: I tried changing log level of slimrequest to debug.. but there is no entry in log file to guide on error

Integrated Iviews in portal to set in proper way.

I integrated URL,webdynpro,Transactional,Bw&BSP iviews into the portal.
Here my question is how to set these iviews in a proper way. i mean i need to give first priority to Transactional iview.then webdynpro,BSP,BW and Url iview.
I heard that there is a sorting option to get this but i didnt get that address.
can anyone suggest me to solve this.

Sreeni,
You can use sort priority property to arrange the objects. The sort priority is by default numbers between 0 and 100.
Set the least number to the iview/Workset/Role if you want display them first.
Make sure that you are setting sort priority to the corresponding level to arrange them example:
For example, if you have two roles Role1 and Role2 and each of them havingTwo worksets WS1 and WS2 then, Least sort priority should set to Role2 if you want to display Role2 first over Role1.
If you want to display WS2 first over WS1 then the least sory priority should set to WS2 .

Workflow integration with Web/Portal

Hi All,
I have been working on workflow front but only limited to R/3 front.
Can anyone guide me as to steps involved for making worklfow capable of executing from Web or portal?
Also would like to know what all things I should start to learn in order that I will be able to comfortably develop a small workflow scenario which can be executed from portal.
e.g. I have heared about transactions SWFVISU,WF_EXTSRV QISRSCENARIO etc at various places. But wanted to know step by step approach (i.e whether I should look for SWFVISU first then WF_EXTSRV what are they exactly used for)and information about all the involved activities.

Coming to workflows that are executable in Enterprise Portal - Universal WorkList...
-> Workitem calling a BSP Application.
-> Workitem calling WD Application.
I worked much on the second front, so lemme explain you something which I know. Instead of calling R/3 Based Form / Transaction as a workitem, you can call an Adobe Interactive Form / Webdnypro Application.The link between the Standard task and Webdnypro Application is done in SWFVISU Transaction.
In the similar way, the ESS-Leave Service is also integrated(Leave Workitem calls the Leave WD Application). And another way of developing the EP Based workflows are...
Integrate the Custom WD Applications in our Workflows. I mean, the Custom WD Application that are developed using Java WD or ABAP WD are linked to a standard task using the SWFVISU Transaction.
Coming to the BSP based stuff, we use WF_EXTSRV transaction to create a new Standard Task that calls the BSP Application(with all the required Import/Export Application Parameters).
The UNIVERSAL WORKLIST in your Enterprise Portal must be configured in prior.

Is the system being used internally only or do you plan to expose it to the Internet? Based on my past experience I would focus on architecture design, security including vulnerability scanning, performance, interoperability (especially different browsers and browser versions) and usability (neither the BSP nor the WDA UI is that user friendly). Of course if the system is used only internally, the involved effort is smaller.

Process flow - Active Directory integration with Enterprise Portal

I have seen number of documents/forum discussions on integrating Microsoft Active Directory (LDAP) with Enterprise Portal, but unable to find out the process flow for achieving the same.
I have installed Enterprise Portal 6 (SP13) running on Web AS 640 (J2EE Standalone). The UME is currently configured to use Java database. (i.e datasourceconfiguration_database_only.xml)
I intend to proceed as below for integrating with Active Directory and integrate with Windows authentication:
1) Configure UME to use an LDAP Server as Data Source using Config Tool

2) Configure Enterprise Portal UME i.e http://<host name>:50000/irj - System Administration - System Configuration - UM Configuration

I hope the above will enable me to logon to Portal without supplying username and password once you are logged on to the PC using your Windows user name and password.
Also, any schema updates required to Activie Directory i.e What additional data is stored in A.D.
I would appreciate your guidance on this.

you wanted that some users are not taken into account by the User Management Engine (UME).
This behavior can be established by specifying the
ume.ldap.negative_user_filter property for the LDAP data sources in the data source configuration file. Using this property one can define that all users and accounts that

SOA 11g Worklist Apps Customisation and Integration with Plumtree Portal

We want to migrate an existing application build using SOA Suite 10.1.3.3 to 11.1.1.2.0.
In the 10g application the worklist application was customised and the customised apps was linked as a remote portlet in BEA Plumtree Portal.
1)In 10g the worklist application source code is available (\SOA_Oracle_Home\bpel\samples\hw\worklistapp) for customisation but is that possible for 11g ?
(The location of the default deployed worklist apps in 11g is /../mdw_home/user_projects/domains/soa_domain/servers/soa_server1/tmp/_WL_user/worklistapp).
Can we take the source code and customize in jdev and deploy under a different contextname in 11g??
3)Our existing 10g worklist was customised a bit in terms of look and feel and for some custom authentication and it was deployed in the 10g SOA Server.
A sample jsp application was created and the login page of the custom worklist apps was linked in a inframe so that it works when integrated with the Plumtree portal as a remote portlet. And this worked perfectly in 10.1.3.3 SOA Suite.
However the 11g SOA worklist login when tagged in a jsp as an inframe in plumtree portal is giving a warning message
Warning: Unable to load content in a frame. Frame content will load at the top level. On cliicking the OK button the worklist page is opening. This is with Firefox browser . however form IE7 or 8 its timing out from portal.

changing the web.xml for the worklist can help.
Can anyone please let us know on the same as this appeas an unsupported one.

Worklist Integration in Peoplesoft Portal

Hello Everyone,
I am exploring integration of worklist from HCM\ELM\CRM into PS Portal.
As per the documentation, there is a delivered message WORKLIST_MSG for this integration and a delivered Application engine WL_REPLICATE for triggerring the Messaging.
Also there is a delivered pagelet in Portal - Tasks pagelet, which displays the worklits.
I am calling out for any experiences with the worklist integration in Portal.
Does all of this theory work effectively?
Any gotchas or anything to keep in Mind?

A worklist is a presentations of workload in the form of links to pages.
These pages can be pages from the current application or other applications.
You could setup WL_REPLICATE to sync worklist items from HCM/ELM to CRM.
The CRM worklist will contain worklist items with workload to pages to HCM/ELM
Then expose the CRM worklist as the main worklist in the Portal.
I'm just saying this because the CRM worklist is more user friendly then the standard PeopleTools worklist.

Integration of ESS Portal and SAP

Project Systems report RPSISKB000 - Capacity Requirements Overview (t-code CN50N) is a report works correctly when analyzing time that was entered via the R/3 GUI in transaction CAT2 u2013 Time Sheet: Maintain Times. However, when executing against time entered via Employee Self Service (ESS) Time Sheet Entry, the u201CActual Worku201D hours are not pulling through to the report.
I believe this is because when time is entered via ESS Time Sheet Entry the fields Capacity ID (KAPID) and Split Number (SPLIT) in table CATSDB are not populated. These two fields are populated when time is entered via the R/3 GUI in transaction CAT2.
I need how to populate these two fields when time is entered via ESS. How data flows from ESS Portal to SAP.
How SAP and ESS Portal integrated for data flow in between.

Rowlevel secuirty in Crystal reports when integrated in Enterprise portal

I have a very simple crystal report which is developed against ECC data using the Open Sql Driver.
Do I have to included some kind of code/logic in the report design for the SAP row-level security that already exists on SAP server to pass to the Crystal reports when report is run from the portal.
Please suggest me the possible solution for this.?

I do have one more question for you.
If a Crystal report is designed using Open Sql Driver against ECC tables and this report is published on to BO Enterprise and both the BO and the SAP Enterprise Portal are both integrated, row level security is also implemented on SAP server.
Now, when SAP user logs into the SAP Enterprise Portal and try to run this crystal report will then the user receive a database logon pop window to enter the client#, SAP login ID and Pwd like we receive it in the Crystal Designer?
If Yes, I believe there is nothing to be taken care of at the Crystal designer level to include some kind of Special fields like CurrentCEUserID and so. In this case the data fetched on to the report already includes Users row level security.
If No, how to configure crystal reports to pull data based on the user and user's role....what kind of special fields have to be included in the record selection or in the data base pop window of the report...?

Integration of SAP Portal with Shibboleth based CUA?

We are running SAP Portal NetWeaver EhP1 on LINUX RH-EL 5 with ORACLE 10.2.0.4. We are interested in integrating authentication to the SAP Portal with our web single sign-on system, which is based on Internet2's Shibboleth software. We would like to use our Shibboleth CUA to authenticate users and give them access to our SAP Enterprise Portal as well as to the SAP ABAP systems.
Has anyone done something similar and if so, what were the results or limitations encountered?
What is the underlying web server / product on which the Portal is based? Specifically, is it Apache httpd? If so, which version?
Can it support the use of third party Apache modules, e.g. the Shibboleth Service Provider (SP) Apache module for authentication?
If not, is it possible to run the portal fronted by Apache httpd? (Note that the Shibboleth SP software requires the use of Apache httpd on Linux servers.)
Can the portal be configured to honor the REMOTE_USER setting passed by the web server/container for authentication, instead of requiring a username/password to be entered?
If the portal cannot support the use of the Shibboleth Service Provider software for authentication, what are the other possible configuration options for authentication (besides username/password)?
What support, if any, is there for SAML-based authentication?
Will the portal interoperate with a Shibboleth Identity Provider (IdP)? Can you point us at documentation for this?

interesting questions. Portal is running on top of Netweaver platform (Java stack). Hence no Apache web server. I doubt that it supports any Apache modules. You can use Apache as reversed proxy in front of SAP portal. Check note 480520 with attached configuration guide. I don't know answer for your question regarding REMOTE_USER setting.
SAP portal supports all standard [authentication methods|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/8a/cb136e68592f478266d19bb2b89766/frameset.htm] supported by Netweaver. Probably the only possible way is to use [SAML|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/94/695b3ebd564644e10000000a114084/frameset.htm]. [Here|http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/tivoli/library/t-cssosap/index.html] is a how-to guide how to set up SSO based on SAML between Tivoli and Netweaver applicaiton server.
