Integrating cProject to DMS

hi,
I am integrating cProject to DMS system.I have done all the configuration required from cProject side. The problem is...in DMS IMG setting, I can't find object link DPR_OBJLNK to attach to my document type.
regards
Ram

Hi Ram,
I am not 100 percent get your question, but you can check the following thing:
1. SE16, Table DRAD,
    field DOKOB = DPR_OBJLNK,
If there is any entries in the table.
If there is no entry, that mean, no link is created till now. And the transaction like cv02n, cv03n will certainly not show the link.
Kind regards,
Zhenbo

  • CProjects to DMS connectivity issues

    Hi Everyone,
We are currently integrating SAP DMS in cProjects. When we try and open the originals of a DIR, the following error messages are displayed:
Application log contains messages for links to SAP R/3 DMS
Message 1: Create Document Link to a New Folder ( application log - subobject: LNK_2_NEW_FOLD )
Cross checked the RFC connection b/w the systems. Seems fine. Please note that SAP DMS is on ECC5.0 and cProjects4.5 is hosted on CRM 7.0 server on two separate systems. Do let know incase you have resolved issues along similar lines. Thanks.

    Steve,
I have seen this issue many times before and it always turned out to be an issue on the Telco network. It's quite possible either the line itself or some equipment on the provider network mayn't be provisioned for DATA or faulty equipment on their network.
Let us know how you do with it.

  • CProjects and DMS

    Hi,
We're in the BBP phase and wondering if we are going to use DMS for structuring documents in relation to cProject. However as I can read this is more or less an object link. Is there possibilities to automatically copy the cProjects structure into a DMS structure?
When using easy document management it is possible to a link from the document to project definition level and tasks in cProjects?
All relevant documentation and desciptions are interesting!!!

This is the procedure for transferring documents from cProjects to SAP DMS
    1) In the project type definition in the back end, select the check box for SAP DMS
    2) Ensure that you have specified the RFC destination for the sytem to which you have to transfer the documents by using transaction SM59
    3) For the document type that you would be using, include the object link DPR_OBJLINK inside the configuration for document type
    4) Once you log into cProjects you can find the tab SAP DMS .
    5) You can continue creating the document info record once you are inside SAP DMS
    6) You can upload the document of the type for which you had defined the object link DPR_OBJLINK
    7) Once steps 5 -6 are done you can view the document inside SAP DMS
P.S. Please kindly give me points if you find the answer useful
    cheers

  • Problems with accounting integration cProjects

    Dear Sirs,
I have some problems with accounting integration between my cProjects 3.10 and my ECC 5.0 system. I have followed the steps in the configuration guide as good I as can. However when I create a project, and go the accounting tab I get the following error:
The project is unknown in Accounting
    Message no.
    DPR_FIN_GECCO006
    Diagnosis
    Etc..
In the Cockpit for Controlling Integration I can see the following error at the time the project is created, and a new similar error is created when the status is set to released – replicated.
No company code could be determined. Message No IAOM_CPROJECTS001.
In this message there is a reference to the fact that the company code can be set in the assigned model order for CPR1. I have created such a model order with a reference to company code 0100 for CPR1. However this does not seem to do the job.
I seem to be stuck, as I have tried every possible and unpossible lead to get any further. Any input for someone with the knowhow is highly appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Jørgen Ruud

    Hello Jørgen,
It sounds strange, normally after create a model order and assigned to the scenario CPR1, then the determination of company code should work.
logic: CPR1 -> model order -> company code
Would you please try the note 875275, if it can help.
In case that it does not help, you can eithter use the Badi method  to set it hardly, or create a customer message to let SAP check it.
    name of Badi DPR_FIN_GECCO_ATTR
    code like following:
          ls_attribute-data_element     = space.
          ls_attribute-value            = '1000'.
          ls_attribute-field_name_orext = 'BUKRS'.
          ls_attribute-fldname_receiver = space.
          ls_attribute-struc_name_copa  = space.
          ls_attribute-field_name_copa  = space.
          ls_attribute-ext_attr_name    = space.
          ls_attribute-ext_attr_value   = space.
          INSERT ls_attribute INTO TABLE ct_attributes.

  • Workflow integration with external DMS system

    Hi,
What integration/control transfer possibilities exist between SAP Workflow and an external document management system (e.g. Hummingbird)? Would some sort of interface be necessary for the integration and what would the level of effort be more or less?
This is quite urgent and I would greatly appreciate your input.
    Regards
    Liza-Marie

    Hi Liza-Marie,
you can work at different levels:
    1) Integration of documents use in the SAP workflow can be stored in external DMS and linked to SAP transactions through SAP Archivelink; you'll probably need a Hummingbird interface certified archivelink
    2) If you want to integrate your SAP workflow with the workflow of the DMS (if any), you can practice as follows:
    a) From you DMS, you can raise events in the SAP system on which your SAP workflow would react (to start or resume) by making use of standard RFCs such as SWE_EVENT_CREATE; eventually you can expose it as web service, which will simplify the call
    b) From SAP worfklow, you can send mails, call external system commands (more rarely used) or call web services that would allow you external DMS to be triggered on
Details on all these techniques would be too huge to be described in a post, but this gives you an overview on how SAP Workflow can interact with external solutions.
    In summary to your question:
    1) Interface required YES - ARCHIVELINK CERTIFIED in case you want to store documents in external DSM that need to be connected to your SAP transactions
    2) Level of effort is depending on your scenario

  • CPr-PS integration - cProjects costs not showing up in PS

    Hi,
We are on PPM5.0. Accounting integration results in successful replicaition of cPro structure as WBS in PS. However, the costs do not flow.
We have used PS06 (ECP) as the costing variant. All configurations seem to be done, and yet, we do not see the costs replicating.
    Additinal Information:
We are not using "Org" structure. We understand that "Cost Element" and "Activity Type" aligned with the cost/revenue rate is all that we need to maintain for costing to take place.
Please advise on what we might be missing.
We are able to replicate all accounting charateristics including cost/rev rate, and project type to the ERP system.
The costing variant has been defined as PS06 (both under "Create and Change controling scenario", and "Settings for "Easy Cost Planning"). And yet, when we click on the "costing" button (under the "accounting" tab), we get the following warnings:
    - Error occurred in controlling cockpit (and yet we see nothing in COCPCPR)
    - Costing data may not be up to date
    Please advise.

    HI Deepak
Please advise how you got the planned costs to show up in PS.
I face the same issue now.
I have exactly the same settings as you have PS06 on both sides.
However, when i look at ECP in PS, it requests a planning form and no planned data is being pulled through, its just blank.
I am not sure what i could be missing, is a costing model mandatory ?
    Please advise soonest.
    thanks

  • Integration cProjects and PS. Incorrect order of the created WBS elements

There is a ERP2005 and cProjects 4.0 and automatic multilevel controlling to WBS elements is activated.
But sometimes I get the backward order of the created WBS elements. For instance, in cProjects I have the following structure:
    Project definition
    - Phase 1
       -- SubTask a
       -- SubTask b
    - Phase 2
       -- SubTask c
       -- SubTask d
In PS I get the following structure:
    Project definition
    - Phase 2
       -- SubTask d
       -- SubTask c
    - Phase 1
       -- SubTask b
       -- SubTask a
Does anybody know what is the reason of such behaviour?
    Thanks!

    Does anybody know the reason?

  • How to integration cProjects with SolMan

    Hello,
I am new to Solman and working with cProjects for a couple of month. Now I was asked to hold an presentation about the use of SolMan and cProjects. Unfortunately I have no clue about SolMan and how to use in in conjunction with cProjects. Maybe some of you can help me to get started:
What can I do with it? What is it good for? Where can I find further informations regarding this topic?
    Thank you,
      Vanessa

    Hi,
The one place I came across cProject in SolMan was in transaction SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN. This is where you setup Solution Manager projects (which could be for SAP Implementation, Upgrade, or ongoing support).
Also I read somewhere in documentation that apart from tracking the project progress in SolMan we can also use cProjects for detailed project management. I guess the features in Solman and cProjects would complement each other to provide a complete toolset for IT project management using Solution Manager.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • CProjects DMS Integration

    Hi,
I am working on cProjects and trying to understand integration with Easy DMS.
Can anyone explain the following :
2)What further ability does the integration offer in addition to the document management functionality in cProjects? I understand that the documents are stored in DMS as Document Inforecord with integration.
    3) Can a user create document Info records in DMS from cProjects or does cProjects just allow the user to link to a record created in EDMS ?
    4) And finally, could some one direct me to any documentation on cProjects and Easy DMS Integration, if any ?
    Thanks,
    Rajesh.
    Thanks
    Rajesh.

Hello, you can create Document Info record directly from cProjects. First step you need to define in the "Define Project type". You need to check the box for SAP DMS. Also inside cross application for DMS, go inside define document types and you have to include the object "DPR_OBJLINK" for the document type that you would be interested. Once inside cProjects, SAP DMS button would be visible and you may proceed creating Document Info record. It automatically creates in the backend SAP system. You can also load the documents inside that. In case you need more information please let me know your email address and I would send you the screen shots.
    thanks

  • Creation of document in CProjects which is sent to DMS system

    Hi all,
I am trying to create a document in CProjects which would be linked to the DMS system. When I try to create a document with reference to another the document number is coming blank. I even tried transfering the doucment after save.
Actually I am trying to see the cycle from creation of Documents in CProjects portal to the creation of Document in the DMS system. I need to make customised changes to the Document in DMS while creation of the same.
Please help me regarding the same.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Niranjani.

    Hi Niranjani,
you can handover a document from cProjects to SAP DMS and vice versa.
Therefore you need some customizing settings: SPRO -> Cross application components -> define document types -> select one document type -> define object links -> define document type, object link (DPR_OBJLNK).
In addition you need the following setting: -> Integration with other mySAP components -> cProjects -> SAP DMS integration -> Specify document types… -> define system, defaultDMS document type and status.
You can find details in the help portal at the following link:<a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_ppm400/helpdata/en/93/bb23fde82147698d4f50f90cca1e95/content.htm">help</a>
Now you can do the following: On tab SAP DMS in cProjects you can create a new DIR as a container (create –> create link to new document info record -> continue -> select document type -> SAVE). The DIR is created when you save the project. (You can also do this in the cProjects template, so with every new project this DIR is created automatically)
Then select the container and press “transfer documents” -> project definition -> continue -> select the documents in cProjects you want to hand over -> press copy to dms -> save documents.
When you now press the button display document structure you should see the new DIR in SAP DMS you just created.
    Best regards,
    Daniel

  • Cproject 3.1 accounting integration project problem

    Dear Sirs,
I have some problems with accounting integration in cProjects. I got help previously with missing company code in thread;  This is now implemented and works fine.
When I save a project and mark it for replication, i get the following error in the Cockpit for Controlling Integration (cprojects).
    Enter Order number.
      Message no. KO413
I have been looking and looking for ways to solve this; Any hints from you guys?
    Best regards,
    Jørgen

    Hello Thorsten,
you are quite right. We tried to swap to internal number range this morning, and it makes the error message to change to:
    +Company code is not defined:
       Messsage no. F5165
    Diagnosis
Colmpany code "" has not been created in finacial accounting
    System response
    System error
    Procedure
Correct the entry or create the company code using financial accounting customizing functions.+
This is quite strange given we have implemented the badi for company code (DPR_FIN_GECCO_ATTR), with the correct values.
Any hints are highly appricated, personally is wonder if there are other places we can look for more detailed error messages to find out excactly what goes wrong.
    Best regards,

  • URL, Opentext in cProjects 4.0

Is it possible to integrate cProjects with OpenText DMS.
Secondly, is it possible to provide a link (URL) of an external website or a portal url within any tab of project definition / details or additional data tab.
The intention is to create a folder in Opentext for every cProject project  and be able to provide a link to this folder in cProjects.
    Please share your experiences.
    Kind regds
    Vishal

    Hi Vishal,
cProjects offers no standard integration to OpenText DMS.
But in the tab `Documents´ you can create a hyperlink to a URL with -> New document -> type in URL and press -> checkin as URL.
When you select the hyperlink a new window opens with the URL.
    Best regards,
    Daniel
