Integrating existing WLS apps into portal

Hi all,
I would like to know which is the best approach to integrate existing WLS web applications into a 8.1 portal environment. By "integrating" I mean a single sign-on and sign-out scenario. The portal user should only log in once and the session information should be conveyed to the other application(s). The other applications could run in full-screen portlet with its existing navigation. The existing applications are running on different server instances (and also hardware) and different versions (6.1, 7.0 and 8.1). I would be grateful for any suggestions or best-practices. This would enable single sign on...
Then, I would look into creating meaningful portlets that launch you into your pre-existing portlets...

Platform: EP7 SPS13, solaris, oracle DB
I would like to know how to include java webdynpro apps into portal transport packages.
I was reading documentation but I was not able to accomplish this.
I have modified Pcd.TransportApplication.Export.ExcludeSystemObjects = false
in pcdStartup.properties file.
Transport export includes all my java webdynpro iviews, and export property RESOLVE REFERENCES is set to true in order to setup dependences to be included.
After importing in QA portal, I can see my java webdynpro iviews, but no webdynpro application exists and iviews won't work.
Any idea will be appreciated.

Hi Claudio Roca ,
You ca nmove web dynpro applications to different landscapes in two ways
1) In NWDS u need to set Message server Port and server port of Quality or production depending on ur requirement
In NWDS ..In Menu you can find
Windows->perferenece there u need to do settings
and u need to deploy ur webynpro application
2) you can deploy .ear file in Visual Admingoto Visual Admin there u can find deployment button click it and deploy ur .ear file

I searched in the SDN , i got some idea, but it is not giving detailed procedure.

Integrate existing html site into Portal

What is the best way to integrate an existing html site into the portal? The site is about 70 different pages (basic display, no forms or backend programming) all interlinked and not very organized.
I would like to maintain the "branded" look of the portal, if possible. I would also like to be able to govern the access to these pages with single sign-on, if possible
Could I wrap all the pages with WebClipping or is there a better way.

Portal Integration error-NWDS App in Portal

Hi
While integrating the NWDS application in Portal,I have created the Webdynpro Java Iview,given the "Application name,Namespace,System.While preview the Ivew i am getting the below error
Wrong Web Dynpro URL: unable to extract deployable object and application name
I have deployed the application in the system

Deploy JDeveloper APP into Portal

Hi:
1 - I want to deplay a JClient App to Portal! How to do it ? I heard someone talking about provider.xml in portal, etc... is it needed ?
2 - That app should only show information related to the portal user that is connected. So i used a 'where clause' that invoke portal.wwctx_api.get_user(). This will work ? Does the Japp will get the current user ? Is this the right way to do it ?

I would look at the JPDK (Java Portal Development Kit). That
will tell you how to deploy the application through portal.
I've done JSPs as portlets, but not applications, but I do think
you need to set up the provider.xml file to serve up the
application properly. Im not sure if the function you refer to
will work, because your java app may be using a separate
database connection than portal uses, so it may not recognize a
portal user. But I havent tried it. I know the JPDK provides
an api for accessing Portal environemnt (like user), so I would
check out the documentation on all that.

Integrating external JSP app with Portal

Hi,
I have an existing application which is completely developed in JSP. I also have a application which is currently build and running on the Portal. Now i want to integrate these two applications togethar so that when ever a user logs into the application running on the portal he should have a link through which he can access application buit on JSP.
Any guidence/info would be grealty appreciated

Try a LINK in yoyur portal app (smart no?)
If your java app has a autentication method, do the link and then PORTAL SSO enabled it and the use a PORTAL AREA to IFRAME it. So the experience of the user is that he will be always in the same app. (you'll need to change the look and feel of one app)

Integrating CE7.2 UWL into Portal 7.0

Hi Experts,
      We had CE7.2 portal in that we had one UWL , here my requirement is we need to integrate CE7.2 UWL to EP Portal 7.0 UWL , so what ever tasks are created in CE it has automatically needs to update in EP Portal7.0
     If anybody have an idea please help on this.

I need to mention one more thing
    Client is not interested to use FPN but I am not aware of his problem , so the BPM related applications and some of the composite applications are not able to develop using Portal , Thats why they preferred CE7.2 portal, but End user using normal EP Portal 7.0 , so what ever developed applications in CE7.2 they needs to access through Portal
   In future also they want to maintain the communication between both the portals , why because if they want to develop any BPM , or any composite applications in future they wants to access through portal

Error after Integrating of Xcelsius SWF into Enterprise Portal

Hi all,
I integrated Xcelsius SWF file into portal using Business Objects Integration Kit - iView Template. I can see dashboard in Portal. Its working fine. I have Refresh Button in the Dashboard. If I refresh the dashboard , it shows cannot access External Data. Failed to get the document information(LO26315).
How can I resolve? Help me in this regard.
I am using BOE 3.1 and LO 3.1.

With a Live Office connection, you would typically use the URL iView and the opendocument URL to integrate the dashboard into the Enterprise Portal. There are existing posts on this forum about opendocument and Xcelsius dashboards.
Obviously you need to make sure the dashboard refreshes fine outside of the portal, for instance from Infoview.
Then, you need to look at the cross domain constraints : have both Infoview and Enterprise Portal in the same domain or use crossdomain.xml. They are lots of posts on this forum about that too.

How to convert existed standalone APP to java web start app?

I didn't find useful information about how to convert an existed java
app into app which can be launched using java web start from the sun java developer's guide.
I have designed a simple java applcation and want to lauch this program with
java web start techniques(on local machine only). Is there any easy way that i could convert my program to the one which support java web start, so i can double click the *.jnlp file to launch my java applcation.
