Integrating LSo with Portal

Hi All,
I need to integrate LSo in Portal. Can anybody tell me what are the pre-requisites for integrating LSo in Portal ? Is there any document recommended by SAP  to follow.
Our requirement is not very extensive. Employees can only pre-book a coruse.
Access to course catalog provided by the company, Access to Pre booking history, Reason for cancellation of training event, providing feedback on training event.
We are using Portal 7.0 SP12, upgraded 4.6c to ECC 6.0. Instaled LSo backend, LSo Front end in ECC 6.0, deployed the bussiness pack for Learning 50.2 in portal.
What are those roles which will be displayed from portal perspective ? Please anybody url/documents for the same.
Any help in this regards would be highly appreciated. Thanks for all your inputs and time in advance.

    Troubleshoot Try: I tried changing log level of slimrequest to debug.. but there is no entry in log file to guide on error
    Help appreciated.

  • Integrating LSO with external LSO Content

    Hi guys, I am working on integrating our LSO with an external LSO provider. I found this information http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/c0aeb020-947d-2b10-048c-82618df6d3d0?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true and it says that the SOAP based web services can still be used on LSO 600 (XI is not to be used). I have tried to find this web services but I don't really know where to start. Anyone has documentation, or knows where on the system I can get the xsdl of the web services that are needed to confirm the enrollment, get the URLQuery and track the progress of the student?

    I am working on the exact same requirement and I would appreciate if you can guide me in the right direction. Were you able to figure this out? I have been researching quite a bit on the SOAP web services and utility classes within SAP to update the tracking data, but I feel I am missing something here.

  • Integrating LSO with EP

    Hi
    I am required to integrate learning solution with EP 7.0 (NW2004s). If anyone has installed the LSO BP in EP 7.0, please share your experiences with me and also please provide related links or information. Also let me know what steps I need to consider for implementing LSO because LSO doesnt seem to be like ESS in terms of installation and configuring the portal.

    Hi,
    We did install a new EP 7.0 with ESS/MSS/LSO with ERP 2005 backend.
    While installing the EP 7.0 Portal by SAPINST, we selected the following Software Units in the Usage Type screen to install the required packages. (You may have different requirement in this screen based on your Scenarios.)
    - BP ERP
    - LSOCP
    - XSS
    - AS Java
    - BI Java
    - EP
    This installed all the required components.  We created a BSP iview for HCM_LEARNING in the Portal and attached to a Role. Thats all we did in the Portal related to Learning solution.

    As per my experience we can integrate the portal with BI using BEX WEB application iview .
    and also we can have live integration using the below steps
    1,Create the RFC destination in J2ee for EP?
    2,Create the RFC destination in BW for EP?
    3,Maintain Portal Server settings?
    4,Set up SSO2?
    5,Export BW certificate and Import into ticket keystore view of j2ee?
    6,Create BW system?
    7,Configure User Management(If morethan one portal system integrates with BW)?
    8,Export Portal Digital certificate and import into BW?
    9 Configure Repository Manager(BW Document repository and BW Meta Data Repository )?
    Now my question is which way is preferable and advicable and why?
    Please give me detailed reply

    For creating a BW query in portal , you need to create a BW system on portal first.

  • Error while Integrating SDN with portal using AppIntegrator

    Hi
    I am trying to Integrate SDN in Portal Using AppIntegrator.
    When I am select SDN iview then it is connecting to the SDN but it is not login into SDN (Error is User Id or Password is not correct.).
    The mapped User Id & password is working fine if I am login SDN directly.
    System Property is
    URI of web application: - /irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.sdn.logon.redirect

    VC is connected to Bi.when i am using BI INTEGRATION wizard it throws following error. "unable tro executre query. No resulte returned or xml returned in query contains an error. Query is inconsistent."

    We need to build a B2C product catalog. I need answers to a couple of the questions listed below:
    1.Is there any inbuilt commerce functionality present in Oracle 9ias Portal?
    2. Is there any third party product available for building a product catalog of say eg. shoes?
    3. Is it correct to say that oralce iStore is the ans. to building the product catalog?
    4. what are the integration issues for integrating oracle iStore with portal?

  • Project systems integration with portal (EP)

    Dear all,
    I have to integrate the projects systems module with Portal.(EP)
    In portal transactional I views can be used to create projects which can be store in the R/3.
    Now the issue is to create projects with out using Transactional I views. This should be a simple entry through portal, where in the user keys in the key fields and there by the project is created and scheduled.
    For this I have tried with using business packages given by SAP to integrate with portal.
    Now the issue is I can display the projects that are created in R/3 through portal and display the necessary fileds required for viewing (I views). Now the main problem is to create the project using these business packages so that the same get updated in the R/3.
    But business packages do not have the option of creating the project. I am using the business packages for projects 50.3.1
    Has any body come across this type of issue which has to be integrated with portal and subsequent creation of projects through portal
    If any body has done this in any other way please kindly share on this.
    Experts please throw some pointers on this.

    Hi,
    from a functionality point of view, standalone and portal usage of SAP Portfolio and Project Management 5.0 are the same (except functionality which is in general only available within a portal, e.g. KM documents, collaboration rooms, etc.).
    From a TCO perspective, for the standalone usage you'll only need the ABAP stack (except for ADS), i.e. if you don't anyway already have a portal in use in your company, this could lead to a lower TCO.

    Need urgent help on UWL configuration.
    We have integrated our ABAP workflow with portal through UWL.
    We have a Ad Hoc link in the ABAP workflow which takes us to some transaction. For some reason we are not able to view that link when we see this workflow through portal.
    1. Is is possible to show any Ad hoc links from ABAP workflow into portals?
    2. If yes, what is the process for the same? We did not get any relevant documents.
