Integrating MapInfo in XC 2008 ?

Hi there,
is their a way to integrate geographical maps coming from Mapinfo (http://www.mapinfo.com) directly through the xcelsius SDK into a dashoard application ? And if yes: how does it work ? Any kind of hint is apppreciated ..

Hi Joerg,
I would look into building something outside of Xcelsius. I did something similar with GIS and Xcelsius for a client but I built them both in a browser separately and merely passed variables.
I'm sure something could be done with the SDK, but I'm not familiar enough with how that may work in Flex.

OIM 9.1.0 Integration with Active Directory 2008 R2

Hi,
My customer is running Root/Child AD structure based on windows 2003 w/SP2, OIM 9.1.0 deployed under one of the child domains, and integrated with child domains controllers which runs windows server 2003 as well.
My customer has decided to upgrade his AD to Windows Server 2008 R2 domain controllers across the entire AD Forest and still wants to integrate the current OIM v9.1.0 with AD for all of his Users provisioning and password synchronizations.
Am not sure if current OIM version of OIM 9.1.0 is compatible and supported by OIM v9.1.0 under active directory version 2008 / R2, and not sure if it can be integrated with such AD version.
Any guidance is really appreciated.
Also I was thinking of such scenario but also not sure of its support ability and if OIM will keep working on such scenario, the scenario is to upgrade only the AD root domain to Windows 2008 R2 while keeping the child domain holding the OIM 9.1.0 at Windows 2003 version.
Is this a working and supported scenario by OIM v9.1.0 ?

I believe you question should be if the connector supports this architecture. Check out the versions supported for the connector you are using and you should be good.

Error Accessing Report in SharePoint Integrated Mode (SQL Server 2008 with SharePoint 2007)

I have installed reporting services with SharePoint Integration Mode, however, whenever I access the report, below error occurs:

Sharepoint/Project Enterprise 2010 Integrated Reporting Services SQL 2008 R2

We have integrated Reporting Services in to SharePoint 2010 configured in Trusted.
Problem:
on a BI site we have a report that runs just fine when you click on it. however when you click the dropdown arrow and edit in reportbuilder. It will open report builder 3.0, but not the report you wanted to edit. when you go to Open the report
from the site we get the error
Unable to connect to the server that is specified in the URL. "myspsite url" Make sure that the server is running, the URL is correct, and you have permission to use the server.

Integrating Xcelsius into Crystal 2008

Hi there,
I'm trying out Crystal 2008 and Xcelsius but seem to have run into a problem... When I go into the Flash Data Expert I only seem to have the tab for creating variables... Not for binding fields from my existing report.
Could someone tell me if the beta is in some way restricted in this sense or (much more likely) that I don't know what I'm doing.

Driver for the Perc 6i integrated controller for windows 2008 R2 64bit

I found the driver on the web site but it will not install cause it says its a 16 bit application and I need a 32 or 64 bit to install. How can I install this? Current driver installed is 4.5.0.64-Date is 2-6-09.

What happens when a VM with 2012 Integrations Services migrates to a 2008 R2 Hyper-V server?

I've been going through our Hyper-V environment to make sure our VMs have the latest, greatest Integration Services installed. I found one 2012 running a 2012 version of Integration Services on this 2008 R2 Hyper-V server. What kind of issues can this
cause? Should I uninstall the current version and 'downgrade' them to 2008 R2?

No, you should not. If the operating system is supported on a hyper-v version you can use it. This means if Windows Server 2012 is supported on Windows Server 2008 R2 hosts you can use Windows Server 2012 or Windows Server 2008 R2 with the Windows Server
2012 integration services installed as a guest OS.

Error while Importing Integration kit Transport Requets into SAP ECC 5.0

1. AT BO side -> I can see the many roles, but under 'role import tab' in CMC when i add any 'role' and click on update button,
     system showing an error as below .
   "Failed while trying to get user list using class CSecRfcRemoteUsersActGrp in method CSecSAPR3Binding::GetUsersInternal(). Error code: 3. Description: Syntax error in program /CRYSTAL/SAPLSECURITY .. "
2. After successfull installation of integration kit on windows 2008 server, i have imported the transport request into SAP ECC
   5.0 When i imported open sql connectivity transport request, i got error mesage . The error message number is 8 and it came
for Generation of programs and screens. i have installed sap gui 710 ( verion : 7100.1.0.1027).
I also transported remaining transport request (infoset, row level, cluster definition, security functions) but all these request
contain similar error. Now when i try to login into sap its going dump.Is there any possibility of reverting back the transport
requests.
Pls help me to fix these issues.

Earlier i have imported non unicode request numbers into sap unicode system.
tats why i got error.
Now i have imported unicode request number to unicode sap system with sequence.

DIP 11g certification with AD 2008 R2 is supported only with DIP 11g PS5 / 11.1.1.6 Patchset or higher.
Note: Although DIP below 11.1.1.6 integration (synchronization, external authentication, etc.) with MS Windows / AD 2008 R2 may work, it is not officially compatible / certified. See also Note 1076018.1.

Explore SAP CL cluster table folder using Crystal Integration Kit

Dear All,
I am a SAP FICO consultant and have just installed the SAP integration kit and CRYSTAL 2008 with a Business Object consultant. We planned to access the SAP cluster tables and replace some ABAP reports with CRYSTAL and Business Objects Reports.
We have encountered the below two key problems, which I am hoping you can help with:
- I am only able to view the three folders stated (CL, DD & FN) after giving the CRYSTAL User ID full SAP_ALL access and not with the limited access in the installation guide, profile CRYSTAL_ENTITLEMENT.
- I can not see any cluster tables within the CL (Cluster) folder as expected and only see data in the FN (Function) & DD (Data dictionary), even after giving the CRYSTAL ID the SAP_ALL access.
Please can you assist from your experience of implementing the Integration kit with SAP ERP?
Products used: SAP ECC6, CRYSTAL 2008 SP2 and current Integration Kit.

Thanks for you replies and I also had a look at Ingo's blog "BusinessObjects and SAP Part 4". The blog indicates that the CL folder is not for the standard cluster tables but specifically for ABAP clusters. Hence why I can not see any tables within this folder as they have to be mapped and setup in SAP if required.
My installation must therefore be correct and I should just use the DD folder for accessing SAP cluster tables? Many thanks for your help and if you can confirm my above assumption then I will mark question as answered.

OID 10g and AD 2008

We are facing a dilema and I am hoping someone else has gone through this and could offer a suggestion.
We use OID 10g as part of our single sign on that authenticates our Oracle apps 11i based app with AD 2003 currently, using DIP. The plan is to upgrade AD 2003 to AD 2008. However, from what I understand we need to upgrade our OID to 11g. Our dilema is that this would force an upgrade of another large system at the same time, which I am hoping avoid and am hoping to buy us some time to upgrade to OID 11g a little further down the road when we have more bandwidth to handle.
I came across an article that talks about a work around that I am hoping could help us short term.

Well, there is a way around to achieve this. However, that will involve introduction of additional component I.e. Oracle Identity Manager is certified to use with Oracle Internet Directory 10g and MS Active Directory 2008.
Oracle Identity Manager provides connectors for OID 10g and MS AD 2008, which allows users created in MS AD 2008 to be reconciled into OIM, which in turn will propogate user information to OID. In turn, OID will propagate those changes to Oracle Apps 11i FND_USER table.]
What I need others help with is, Is this indeed possible? Has anyone else done this? If not, what options do we have with working with AD 2008.

We have certain SSRS report (which includes subreports) which
many users are able to access, but
some users cannot access- they get this error:
"Unsupported RPL stream version detected: 101.116.1047292257. Expected version: 10.6."
(We are not using SP integrated mode)(using SSRS 2008 R2)
No problem in VS or on server when trying to run this report.
User having this problem has the sam ewindows and explorer versions.

Xcelsius - Database logon failed. (LO 26603)

Hi Expert,
I have a error when run .swf file.
The first, I create new query from SAP toolbar integration in Crystal Report 2008. The Crystal Query is called from a BW Query . The query have not variables, the data get directly from BW Query.
I saved Crystal Report file into BOE (File -->Save -->Enterprise, not save on BW).
In Infoview, I setup schedule for this .rpt file with information database logon below (default as inform in Set Database Location of Crystal Report):
- Database server: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (BW server)
- User name: User in BW
- Password: Password in BW
In Xcelsius, I use Live Office to get data from crystal on BOE to Excel sheet on Xcelsius.
In data-->Connection, I changed <server:8080> by <IP BOE System:8080>.
When I preview or export to swf file, a message box appear require input user name and password of BW server (Database logon). After I input correct password, a message box User Identification appear, I input System, User name, Password on BOE server and chose Authentication Enterprise. And final, I get error message " Database logon failed. (LO 26603)".
I try opening Crystal Report file on Infoview and Refresh data, I also input database logon by BW User, the data refresh correctly.
Why do crystal report file update data from BW correct, while .swf file is not and return error Database Logon failed.
Please explain for me what step I missed to get data through Live Office.

I have set the default credentials in database configuration.
But my dashboard still can't work. When I preview dashboard, A prompt for database logon information appear, I can logon sucess and refresh data. But after I logon username and password on BOE for BOE User Identification with Authentication Enterprise, I still get error " Database logon failed".
Who can explain for me what steps I miss.

Hi im trying to view a simple report , this report have some parameters from a MS Access database.I configure everything, The ODBCJDBC bridge, the dns System on Windows, etc... and the problem its like this, I connect the database, but the schema its empty , i cant map, the dinamic parameters of my report, with my access database.I have this errors : at same time 1. This report uses a data connection that isn't fully supported by this version of the Crystal Reports designer. You can modify the report in the designer, but the following actions that access this connection will fail: Browse data, verify database, and report preview.
