I have got the wonderful information from support.oracle.com. The instructions for Siebel Integration with Oracle BI Publisher are present in the Siebel Maintenance Release Guide, 8.0.0.x, Rev Z, topic "Instructions for BI Publisher Enhancements" ACR483.

The action link option is only available in an integrated environment. This also means you need to access Answers via Siebel.

1)Portal is an integrated component of 9iAS. You need to download all of 9iAS and select the minimal install option.
2)We haven't tested this configuration, but as long as you set up apache appropriately to use different ports than the existing software it should work.
3)Portal requires 8.1.6.2 Enterprise edition or 8.1.7 Standard edition. Personal Edition will not work.

Siebel Connector setup with OIM 9.1

I am trying to setup Siebel connector using VM ware images for OIM 9.1 and Siebel 7.8. I followed the document on deploying Siebel connector.I copied connector files. Imported connector xml files, defined IT resource for Siebel.
I ran a simple create test case under running test cases. I copied required jar file, edited global.properties with required values, ran native2ascii command and I get the following error:

Any ideas as to why there is a connection error or what to look for to get more information.

Most of the test clients use a configuration file where you need to configure things like Siebel Admin login, server name, etc. In some cases the configuration file contains the name of the OIM it resource where this is configured instead of the actual values.
Have you customized the E:\oracle\product\OIM9100\xellerate\Siebel\troubleshoot\troubleShoot.properties file with values that are relevant for your installation?

Integrate CDC with ESB

I am new to ODI and need to integrate CDC with ESB.
From the docs i could make out that we can add subscribers to the CDC but dont know how to get data from the subscribers.
As per the docs it uses a publish/subscribe model. I wish to add my integration process(Oracle ESB) as a subscriber to the CDC.
Please provide some inputs getting data from the CDC.

UDDI lookup with ESB 10.1.3.1

Hi all,
I am trying dynamic endpoint lookup using Oracle Service Registry with ESB 10.1.3.1.In some document I found that the following are required to be configured:-
1. In esb_config.ini = #UDDI Information
UDDI lookup settings = uddiInquiry
URL= http://10.227.32.35:8888/serviceregistry/uddi/inquiry
Do I need a server restart after the above step?
2.In esbsvc the following needs to be added under 'servicedefinition':- <registryServiceKey>uddi:786aeef0-232c-11dd-b998-f189ec61b994
</registryServiceKey>.
However when I am registering ESB from Jdeveloper then this file is getting updated and ESB is doing a normal lookup on the endpoint.From ESB console also I am not getting the option under Properties to mention the registry service key.Please let me know whether this is a bug in ESB 10g or I am going wrong somewhere.This is urgent.I have a project delivery.Please any help will be appreciated.

I don't think it is supported in 10.1.3.1, I believe it is not supported in 10.1.3.3 either, but there is patch available for 10.1.3.3
If you are using 10.1.3.3.1 then it comes out-of-the-box.
In jdev, 10.1.3.3 that option doesn't come out of the box, but you can change file source and then it will show up in jdev dialog also.

Integration between EP & BW (with multiple application server)

Hello Experts,
We are configuring JCo Rfc Provider using visual administrator.
We have Successfully used Note No##Note 917950 - SAP NetWeaver 2004s:
Setting Up BEx Web,For Our Development & QAS BW & EP Server.(Single application Server)
But on our Production systems which have multiple application servers ( 3 each for EP & BW) at the step of creating RFC Creation we find that the RFC connection (JCO provider) only works when we specify the individual Apps server in the BW Host Field. We are not able to Specify the BW message server in the JCO Connection.
Kindly help us to resolve this issue.

Hi Jim,
The reason that the documentation specifically spells out IBM Websphere is most likely because it was the application server that we developed and tested with at the time. The important requirement for this type of integration is that this server be an Intel based server running a Microsoft OS. The reason for this is because there are dlls with the Oracle IPM product that enable communication between the IPM functions and the JDE Business functions. If the Enterprise server for JDE is intel based then a JAS can exist on the same server, the dlls can be on that machine and the extra server is not required. This server is only required if the Enterprise server is not intel based. As far as your choice to use Oracle Application Server goes, I really have no basis to say if this works or not. My thought is that it shouldn't matter as long as the JAS server is an intel based, 32 bit server running a Microsoft OS. There are many other variables and lots of experience implementing this type of integration with JDE within the Oracle IPM consulting team. Give us a call if we can help.

Our customer wants to also monitor and maintain non oracle components with EMGC 10g release 3.
Some non oracle components are:

File Servers,
NTP,
Citrix,
Terminal Server,

Is there a document on which non oracle components can be monitored in the EMGC and what can be maintained with these components?

"Register with ESB" failing, though AS and IS connections are tested and OK

When trying to deploy my ESB project, in the "Register with ESB" phase I am now all of a sudden getting the following Error (the same project was working fine for months unchanged until today). This is even though the AS and IS connections are tested and still working fine.
Things that changed today:
1.Change 1 – when starting JDEV I was prompted to download some Jdev patch/upgrade for some sort of new BPEL modeling framework, so I installed, JDEV asked to reboot so did, JDEV asked to upgrade JDEV from former, so did, JDEV asked for what dir, so went with default .../jdev/system
2. Change 2: tried also to deploy the standard “Order booking SOA demo” after patching.
3. The Error message I started getting, both for new and old deployments (that were working fine until today), is below, as is my version information:

I am facing a problem with ESB Console, wherein it doesn't show esb instances.
When I checked the log file, I've got the following error:
     Activity monitor manager received an unexpected exception while processing the activity messages. Due to the error "[POL-5205] column SEQ not found", the activity message could not be stored.
I am using 10.1.3.3.1 version of SOA Suite. Applied MLR# 6869621 on top of 10.1.3.3.0.

So I am talking about the dataproviders and ArrayCollection in my components Component1 , Component2, Component3 etc..; So when I try to debug after closing the PopUp and opening it again at the first instance the values should be null since these have not yet been instantiated...but it is showing me the previous value pouplated when I opened the PopUp first time...
I am having the event listeners from withing the components Component1 , Component2, Component3 etc..; but how do I remove them when I am trying to close the PopUp which is opened from other file...???
Also I scoped my planCompPopUp instance local to the function so there should be no question of setting to null as you mentioned in your last point...
Although I had set it to null when I first decalred the instance as global but no use...the problem still persists...
