Integrating the IPVC-3515-MCU with Call Manager

I am looking for some help on how to integrate the IPVC-3515-MCU with Call Manager.
Thanks

Hi,
What is your CUCM ver? CUCM 7.x has a new feature where even if VCB is the first bridge in MRGL, if all parties are audio it will select an audio CFB instead of the VCB.
Now, if you don't have CUCM 7.x than please confirm that the VCB has the higher priority in the MRGL. The MRG with the VBC should be at the top of all other MRG (which have CFB in it) in the MRGL. If you have audio CFB and VCB in the same MRG than CUCM will select the least used conf bridge and this could be the audio CFB.
Try and keep the audio CFB and the VCB in different MRG so this way you can influence the priority of conf bridge in the MRGL. Also, make sure that the user who is initiating the conf has this MRGL.

Look very carefully for the following line:
Press any Key To start configuration
You have about 2-4 seconds to hit any key and it will bring up the configuration menu on your screen. I can see from your output that you have not attempted to change the IP address, default router address and netmask. This is evidence by the line containing rvhost. HTH

  • Which Ports do MCU and Call Manager use for Video?

Hi, Does anyone know which ports the MCU and call Manager Use when using the 3511 MCU box with Call Manager 4.1.3. I am looking to open the appropriate ports on the firewall.
    Regards
    Dominic

    Dominic,
If your MCU ports are Callmanger controlled, they will use Skinny (SCCP) to communicate on TCP port 2000. Please see the following link.

  • Questions about TANDBERG MXP 550 with Call manager 4.2

    Hello,
I have an TANDBERG MXP550 configured as an H.323 client in call manager 4.2 without a gatekeeper.
    1. When I make a call between the TANDBERG and another phone registered. I have the ip address of the call manager displayed on the screen instead of the extension number. Is it possible to display the extension number without a gatekeeper ?
    2. The other question is about the streaming. Can I get and read the multicast stream on a PC with a software client ? I tried with VLC (VideoLan Client), with the multicast address I don't get the stream. When I activate the Session Announcement Protocol (SAP) I can receive the stream, but the video is bad (probably a codec problem). Did somebody find a software client which reads the multicast stream?
    Thanks,

Call manager provides the called party with the extension or directory number of the calling party on a display. You can use the Calling Line ID Presentation field in the Gateway Configuration window to control whether the CLID displays for all outgoing calls on the gateway.Refer URL

  • GSM/GPRS gateway with Call Manager ?

Do CISCO make a GSM/GPRS gateway / interface card ?
To make sure I am using the correct terminology, I'll explain what I want to do.
I want a gateway registered with Call Manager (in the same way my e1 equipped 2821's are) but instead of using an e1, use up to 30 mobile SIMS so I can forcecalls to mobiles through this gateway and get "mobile-to-mobile" rates rather than "land-to-mobile" rates.
In order to achieve this, do I get a 3rd party box and connect this to the e1 interface of CISCO router - and this 3rd party box emulates an e1 ? meaning the use of mobile SIMs is transparent to the CISCO router (it just sees an e1). Do CISCO make/rebrand this type of device ? Is there a WIC/interface card that achieves this with a CISCO router ? Or a specific piece of CISCO equipment for this purpose ? Does anyone have any experience/recommendations ?
Just to clarrify, this is literally for voice calls only and cost savings based on "mobile-to-mobile" rates/call allowances in an active Call Manager 4 deployment, there is no data requirement. UK based.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • Call Manager Express B-ACD with Call Manager 5 or 6

Can I use the Call Manager Express B-ACD with Call Manager 5 or 6, because there is no autoattendant in CCM 5 or CCM 6

    Hi Zohaib,
    With CCM (all versions), they do ship with a "stripped down" version of IPCC/CRA which is where the actual AA is built. But this is not really an "on box" solution :( You will need a seperate MCS box to install IPCC on and then integrate with CCM via jtapi. Here is a clip and link for CCM 5.x and a link for 6.x which is a rather large PDF which I am having trouble downloading today;
    Cisco CallManager AutoAttendant
Cisco CallManager AutoAttendant, a simple automated attendant, allows callers to locate people in your organization without talking to a receptionist. You can customize the prompts that are played for the caller, but you cannot customize how the software interacts with the customer.
Cisco CallManager AutoAttendant comes bundled with Cisco CallManager on the Cisco CallManager 5 agent IPCC Express bundle.

  • SPA112 use with Call Manager

We have used ATA 186 devices with our Call Manager system for use with fax machines and analog phones in a manufacturing environment.  I am hopeful that the SPA112 can be used as a lower cost alternative to the older ATAs.
I have searched for basic configuration information for use with Call Manager but haven't come across anything.
Can these devices be used with Call Manager and is there basic information available on how to configure them?
    Thanks.

The SPA112 is essentially the same as the Linksys PAP2t adapter.
They both use SIP protocol, and can be added to Callmanager, but I don't think the SPA112 is supported in this configuration.
I was able to get the SPA112 to work with CallManager by adding it as an Advanced SIP device.  That uses more licenses (6 I think).
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2082101
That details getting a Linksys PAP2 device working with CallManager 7.1
I got SPA112's working by using the info in that link.  You have to set it all up manually, but it does work.

  • Retrieve the information of the owner of a Cisco Call Manager Device??

Is there a way that I can retrieve the name of the owner of a Cisco Call Manager device? I can retrieve back the IP address of the device or the device number("SEP"), but can I get the name of the owner device?

An executeSQLQuery with a query like SELECT LoginUserid FROM Device WHERE Name = '" + deviceName + "'" should do the trick. It'll give you the owner / logged in em user

  • I have change my phone language to english. but the phone shows chinese language in the internet pages and with call details. how to change it. why is this occuring?

i have change my phone language to english. but the phone shows chinese language in the internet pages and with call details. how to change it. why is this occuring?

If the phone is not unlocked, let's say for example it is locked to another carrier such as at&t, when you put in the Tmobile SIM in, the phone would complain about the SIM.
Does your phone do that? If yes, then the party that sold you the iPhone4S (if you purchased it from another person) may have not done the unlocking properly, and that may explain why Tmobile is insisting on the phone being locked.
If you purchased your iPhone4S new from Apple, did you pick Tmobile, or did you choose unlocked?
If you picked the Tmobile choice, then it should come up ready to use.
If you picked the unlocked choice, then you would need to visit Tmobile to purchase a nano-SIM and usually they should be more than willing to help you, since you're paying for their service.
But as you have indicated, this phone is under AppleCare, so if it doesn't work with a supposedly good Tmobile SIM, the quickest way to fix this is to get a replacement phone. When we troubleshoot we always try the least time consuming methods first.
You may have noticed it, that a good number of unfortunate uses of the iPhone4S have had their wifi become strangely disabled after upgrade to iOS7. Your situation is the reverse, your wifi is useable but not your cellular network.
In the mean time, you can apply for a Google Voice account (see http://www.google.com/voice), and obtain a free North American telephone number. You can then download one of many free Google Talk applications. Set it up, and you will be able to call and receive phone calls using your wifi. This would be just for the transition period before you get a useable phone.
Google voice provides average voice quality calls to and from US & Canada numbers for free for 1 hour per call. You can use this as a temporary work around while you are waiting for your replacement phone.
    Cheers!

  • Active Directory integration with call manager

    Hi,
I am facing issues while Integrating the CCM to my Active Directory using AD Plug-in.
    SITE SETUP:
    1. Windows 2003 Parent Domain Controller located remotely with GC.
    2. Windows 2003 Child Domain for the Parent DC located Locally with GC.
    3. Cisco CallManager 4.1.3 sr3b
My Requirement is to integrate CCM with my Windows 2003 AD.
    My Questions are:
    1. Do I need to Provide the Parent Domain name or the Child Domain name while performing the AD Plug-in Setup?
    2. Does my Call Manager need to have the Forest access of the Active Directory (i.e., Does it perform some modifications in the Parent Domain)?
    3. Does the user account (which is used for Directory Integration) need to have direct members of Schema Admins or thru some other domain admin groups (i.e., Admin user -> Child Domain Admins Groups -> Parent Domain and Schema Admin Groups)?
Can anyone can help me on this?
    Thanks,
    V.Kumar

    1. Do I need to Provide the Parent Domain name or the Child Domain name while performing the AD Plug-in Setup?
Use the root domain, in this case the Parent domain.
Cisco does not recommend having a Cisco Unified CallManager cluster service users in different domains because response times while user data is being retrieved might be less than optimal if domain controllers for all included domains are not local.
    2. Does my Call Manager need to have the Forest access of the Active Directory (i.e., Does it perform some modifications in the Parent Domain)?
Yes, actually all domains in the forest share the same Schema, which will be modified after running the AD plugin.
    3. Does the user account (which is used for Directory Integration) need to have direct members of Schema Admins or thru some other domain admin groups (i.e., Admin user -> Child Domain Admins Groups -> Parent Domain and Schema Admin Groups)?
Account should be a member of the Schema Admins group in Active Directory, try the one in parent domain.
Correct permissions for CCMAdministration and similar example for your setup:

  • Problem with Call Manager in VM ware

    Hi All ,
    Please help
I  installed VM worksation in my laptop , and trying to install Call Manager inside it , My laptop connected to LAN with 10.26.152.27 with mask 224 , and gateway 10.26.152.1  . i am confuse what Network adapter i will use for VM ,and what TCP/IP range i configured to CUCM while installing  to have it access from Web Browser

    Arawat,
If in understand your question correclty, all you have to do is put them all on the same IP subnet, including the virtual network adapters that VMware will build on your laptop. Based on your Laptop IP 10.26.152.27, and your /27 mask you will probably want to give it an IP address between the range 10.26.152.2 to 10.26.152.30. Your gateway for all the virtual devices will be the same as the laptop, 10.26.152.1.

  • Bridging h323 video calls with Call Manager ?

Our Cisco rep has just told us that CallManager can act as a "full featured" multi-point video conferencing bridge. We were discussing this in the context of the new Cisco/Tanberg IP Phones with video cameras.
Anyone got this running in a production enviornment ?
Does this only work with Cisco/Tanberg phones ? or can I use my VTEL, Polycom, VCON endpoints ?
What about its interaction with our existing video bridge, a Polycom MGC unit ?
    Comments ?

While it would be great if CallManager itself could act as a MCU, it does not. It does however have the capability to allow an IP/VC MCU running SCCP register with it directly or allow for calls to be sent to IP/VC MCU running H.323 via a H.323 Trunk or Gateway.
As for your other questions. In a SCCP environment this would Ad-hoc video conferencing using the softkey on the phone works fully with Cisco Phones (7940/60/70) running with Cisco VT Advantage and Tandberg units that are running SCCP code. It is possible to allow for other endpoints such as Polycom to be part of these conferences. One note here is that there can be some interaction issues if a unit does not fully support Empty Capabilities Set (ECS) whereby features such as hold, transfer, or forward are supported.
Interaction with existing video bridges could work. At least along the lines of using these in an H.323 scenario. It could be possible to build a H.323 Trunk that point to a Gatekeeper where the MCU is registered and have calls be routed to that device.
    Hope this helps
