  • About integration between SAP and non-SAP applications via javaidoc classes

    Hi,All
Now we are implementing a SAP-Retail project,we encounter a problem of integration between SAP and non-SAP applications(POS),we want to set Inbound/Outbound between SAP and POS applications realtimely,POS can connect to the SAP system via VPN,weather it can be implemented?
I conceive to implement it with SAP Java Connector IDoc Class,I don't know weather it is the best solution? If not, please give some other proposal.
I have download the classes from SAP website and try it with the samples provided by SAP(JCoIDocSample1.java/JCoIDocSample3.java),In my testing,Inbound is succeed, but,in SAP-Retail IS,standard Outbound message type is defined via file port, some one told me that SAP Java Connector IDoc Class can only receive idocs from tRFC port?is it true?If not, please tell me how to deploy in SAP so java program can receive idocs from file port?

We too are interested in finding information on integration between SAP and Intergraph.  Were you able to obtain information and I was wondering if could share this with us.

  • Integration between SAP and third party tax software

can some body explain me or provide me docs regarding integration between sap and third party tax software like vertex.
    Thanks

    Hi
First configure the same via the following menu path:
    1.) IMG>Financial accounting>Financial accounting global settings>Taxes on sales/purchases>Basic settings>External tax calculation>Define physical destination
2.) Then test connection (option is available there).
3.) If the connection is successful, also verify that the external tax package installed supports the R/3 4.6 version of the API. You do that by going to:
    System Information>Function List
Check if the following functions are listed:
    • RFC_CALCULATE_TAXES_DOC
    • RFC_UPDATE_TAXES_DOC
    • RFC_FORCE_TAXES_DOC
    • RFC_DETERMINE_JURISDICTION
4.) Then test the tax data retrieval:
From SE37, select the relevant function modules like RFC_DETERMINE_JURISDICTION.
The above 4 steps are necessary to satisfy that the RFC connection is established
    Hope useful

  • Integration between SAP server & External System

    Dear all,
would you explain the pros and cons of integration between SAP and external system. what types issue i can face on SAP and external system respectively.

    Hi,
I don't know what is a COSMOS system and I don't know your company....
You will never get meaningful answers on an internet forum for questions so dependent on your specific environement and requirements. If you know your ECC6 system, then read the COSMOS documentation and ask the COSMOS vendor.

  • PI Integration between SAP NW MDM and APO

    Hi SDners,
This is a Parts Master Data Solution for one of the Largest Auto Manufacturer where SAP MDM will be the central hub of all the Global and Local attributes of Parts . The subscribing system is SAP SCM APO  . Please advice if there is any possibility of direct integration between APO -MDM through PI. Does PI has the standard IDOC types to communicate with APO.
    Thanks,
    Prabuddha

    Hi Roy,
Please search for standard content in SAP Market place. If you have standard content then you can download and install in PI. With standard you can directly use the master data mappings coming from MDM. If either in MDM or APO has any changes from standard then you can do the map accordingly.
PI doesnot hold any idocs, whatever system here in your case APO what ever the master idocs, you can import the metadata and then do the mapping accordingly.
Just for an example you can see on how to do this:

  • PI Integration between SAP ERP system and Cloud for Customer

    Hi,
We have set up integration between Cloud for Customer tenant and our SAP ERP system via PI.
For performing initial load, when we try to activate change pointers for Message types in the SALE transaction, we don't find the MATMAS_CFS and DEBMAS_CFS in the ERP system(IDES ECC 6.0 EhP6).
CODERINT 600(SP1 &2) are installed and BC set COD_BYD_ERP_INT is activated in the system.
Could anyone let us know what are we missing here, so that we can get the message types.
Also we tried using Message type MATMAS for sending a message from ERP to Cloud for Customer. In PI message monitoring, the status shows as 'Processed successfully', however we do not find the message in Business Communication Monitoring in the Cloud system. neither do we see the Business Object created for that Material master.
Please let me know how to debug such a scenario.

    Hi Vatsav,
Yes the outbound works now with the following urls with channel id as param. With the 'BusinessSystem used as the sender(COD) business system ID. Thanks for your help and the document

  • Can you recommend the best way to do an integration between SAP and Dynamics?

    Hi,
I have a requirement to develop a integration process between SAP and Dynamics. Both environments will be deployed in Azure, so there isn't any on-premise machine involved.
I've to implement two different business processes:
A request is received from SAP and some data is sent to Dynamics
A request is received from Dynamics and some data is stored in SAP
My client is requiring me to define a cloud integration architecture that fits to the requirements.
Doing some research, I have thought three possible architecture models.
Use BizTalk Server as IAAS: the provision a full BizTalk virtual machine will fit each requirement. The bad thing is that it will have a big cost for the client.
Use BizTalk Server as PAAS using BAS: other alternative the using BizTalk Services instead of a BizTalk VM. My idea with this model is using BAS to connect with the SAP and use WCF to connect with Dynamics web services. Can you tell me
if this model is feasible? Should be the SAP machine a Windows machine in order to install BAS?
Use BizTalk Server as PAAS using SB Queues: other alternative the using BizTalk Services instead of a BizTalk VM. My idea with this model is using
SB Queues to connect with the SAP and use WCF or other SB Queues to connect with Dynamics. Can you tell me if this model is feasible? Is required a intensve development in both SAP and Dynamics processes to implement the
    communication using SB-Queues?
Please, if you have other architecture models that fit better to my requirements, I'd be so grateful for this information.
    Many thanks for your help.
    Best regards.

I have a Mini and since it has BlueTooth,  got Creative Labs' T3150 BlueTooth speakers so I can "send" music across the house to them. The iPod Touch has BlueTooth, and would work for this kind of setup, I think.

  • Integration between "SAP PI-Lotus Notes/Domino"  "SAP PI-PeopleSoft"

    Hi all,
I have been working  with XI (most of the time integrating SAP systems and third parties) for years but now i face following situation, i have to integrate SAP systems with Oracle systems, Lotus systems, Peoplesoft systems and so on, using XI.
I have achieved SAP-XI-Oracle integration using JDBC adapter but i do not know what is the best practice when trying to do the other integrations.
I ve read that adapter engine XInotes is a good approach in PI-LOTUS scenarios, so the JDE adapter (iway) for the PI-PEOPLESOFT. But, is there a way to achieve my requirements with the standar adapters without too much effort in the backends and not too much programming in XI?
i know there is no perfect solution but any help will be much appreciated (and of course, rewarded with points)
Thanks in advance and best regards,
    David

    Regarding Peoplesoft
think it all depands on the amount and types of interfaces and data needed needed to be transfered between the systems.
We need to go over the Iway solution and see what are the featyres given by the adapter.
(from a brief read of the iway pdf) i saw they use the same methods (XML,SOAP,IDocs) to interact between systems.
the adavtage of Iway might be the fast implementation (out of the box maybe) and that there might be no development needed...big adavantage.
But some times the use of XI fits better because of the costs of the adapter or the ability to be a hub and send this data to other systems as well (again I'm not familiar with I-way solution so maybe they can do it to if they have a development enviorment for the adapter).
I reccomand you to contact I-way and get as much info as possible then decide wether its better to go with XI or the adapter.
I give you an example from SAP...
the CRM solution comes with an application called data migrator or something like that, this tool synchronize master data betweenn the SAP CRM and SAP ERP...this tool was written for the CRM and becasue of that fits well for the integration (4000 software developers can't go wrong.... )
For this integration between the systems XI is not a match for my opinion and it will take some developments in XI (the easy part) and in ABAP for the CRM and R3(not so easy part) to integrate thouse two.
    So......
Go over the Blue print or understand the customer integration needs and scenarios.
Then decide according to the I-way information on the adapter which way is the best..XI or 3rd party adapter.
By the way webmethod is an instegration tool like XI and as I recall they dont have a Peploe soft specific adapter.

  • Integration between SAP HR and PS (Project System)

    Hi Guys,
Is there any integration between Project System and HR in SAP. My client is service oriented company.
Every month New customers will join and each customer they call it as one project & maintain in PS. Now my client requirement is, through PS recruitment requisition should have to come to HR (For ex XYZ customer requires 2 Supervisors, 1 Manager), so that HR will recruit employees for the project.
So is there any integration between PS & HR
    Regards

    Hi Vikram Patil,
In my client place we are not implementing SAP Payroll, hence if any new project is created in PS, I need only man power requirement from PS, how can I proceed now
If is there any documents on PS and HR integration please forward to my mail ID

  • Integration between SAP BI 3.5 and Business Object

    Hi experts
I'm working on a SAP ECC 5.00 environment with SAP BI 3.5
We want introduce the Business object application for the SAP Bi reporting, without upgrade SAP BI to 7.0 release.
Can you suggest me a documentation or similar explaining the pros and cons of this type integration, and possible problems we can occur on (if any).
another question is: is it possible upgrade SAP BI to 7.0 release maintaining Netweaver 2004, or the upgrade to Netweaver 2004s is required?
if this upgrade is required, it will affect also the ECC (from 5.00 o 6.00)?
    thanks in advance

  • Integration between SAP business one to SAP CRM, CRM to ECC 6.0

Scope: We have been told to prepare Integration process which is a part of out project plan. Here we have 2 business cases where our SAP XI comes into picture.
    1.     SAP business One talks to SAP CRM through XI to exchange DMS business data.
    2.     SAP CRM talks to SAP ECC 6.0 through XI to exchange master data.
Suggestions:  What kind of adapters (includes proxies) do we prefer to get the data transferred in both cases with high performance level.
Appreciate your response with proper reward points.
    Thanks,
    Kumar.

    Hello,
you can use Proxies for performance benefit for transsferring data between CRM to XI and ECC to XI system.
Also you can use ALE -IDOC communication between your ECC system and XI for master data communication

  • Integration between sap r/3-xi-bw

    hi friends,
i have urgent object to integrate r/3 to bw using xi.pls help on this
    ravi

    Hi,
You can push data from XI to BW with full Quality of Service (EOIO).Since the BW release 3.0B data can be transferred to the BW via “Push” into the BW Delta Queue. From
there it is requested with the same mechanisms that are used for the extraction from R/3 source systems.
However, the Web Service and the generic SOAP/RFC Service do not support “Exactly Once” transfer of data as no transaction ID is handled in the framework. Therefore data might be transferred several times which is not valid for all delta options that can be used in BW.
XI 3.0 provides a variety of ways to access data from different sources. There are adapters to connect files, databases, messaging systems, Web Services. With R/3 systems (3.1h and higher), IDoc and RFC can be used.
The standard communication channel for SAP systems is the ABAP Proxy which is available for Web AS 6.20 and higher.
The Proxy communication supports the full Quality of Service (“Exactly Once In Order”) between XI and
BW which other adapters do not:
    • The RFC-Adapter does not support “In Order” but only “Exactly Once” (so-called tRFC)
    • The SOAP-Adapter supports “In Order”, i.e. the order of the messages of the sender is kept
during the processing. However “Exactly Once” cannot be implemented in this scenario in
conjunction with the receiver (see above).
Hence, SAP recommends to use the ABAP Proxy communication. Only the ABAP Proxy implementation
is described in this paper. Further information and the prerequisites to enable the full Quality of Service are described in note 717162.
    Refer http://service.sap.com/~sapidb/011000358700011142902001E/HOWTOSENDXMLDATATOBW.DOC for detailed Step.
Also refer this kink for how to push data to BW using XI. https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/18dfe590-0201-0010-6b8b-d21dfa9929c9

  • Integration between SAP and Third Party without PI in between

    Hi All,
We have a requirement where in we need to integrate SAP and a Third Party Product without PI in between. The third party product is exposing their Web services as API.
So, we have an idea of exposing our RFC/BAPI as web service ,so that it can call/consume the third party web services. On these lines I have a couple of doubts,
1.How will the monitoring of message be done?Is there any Tcode to monitor the RFC exposed Web services?
2.What would be the advantages and disadvatages of this approach?
    Thanks.
    Venu

Well taking out PI will 'exclude' advantages like able to monitor the messages, resending messages, error handling etc.

  • Integration between SAP POS Triversity and SAP POS DM using XI

    Hi Experts,
my company is plannig to integrate SAP POS with POS DM using XI. I need to speak to some 1 who has already gone through the process, as for this there are bottlenecks in 2 areas initially .
    1. GM Store Connectivity is an object supposed to be available in market place in .TPZ  file needs to be imported into the XI development system. This object is not available in the market place of  SAP as per  url   "
http://sap.com/xi/GMStoreConnectivity. " Without this , I cannot go any further!
    2. The PDF file containing entire processing steps " SAP Business Package for Store Connectivity POS Integration
Configuration Guide" Release 2.0 April 4, 2007, is incomplete. Is there any one who can offer me with the latest version of this document in PDF. Or is there any one who has worked with this PDF, so that I can discuss the same .
Thanks in advance to all of you,

  • Integration between SAP HR and FICO module regarding advance payments

    Hi friends,
Can anybody tell me that is there any type of integration possible in SAP HR and FICO module regarding advance payments?
I mean to say that, if any advance payment made in cash department through FICO module on behalf of any employee vender and the amount is recover from that employee salary ( in full or installment ) through HR module in time of salary process. Is it possible that the recovery will reflect in FICO module also.
Eg. :  Suppose one employee has taken an advance of Rs. 10000 from Accounts & the amount is recovered from his salary by Hr as Rs. 5000 per month. After first month salary is it show as Rs. 5000 to be recovered from him in the FICO module.
Please let me inform that is it possible in SAP. If yes then how?
I shall wait for your warm response.
    With regards,
    Diptendu

    Hi Sikindar,
Thanks for your reply, it's really helpful for me. But can you please tell me that, is there any way to automatized it.
I want to mean that, what ever fitment is made by the accounts in FICO it will reflect in payslip and related reports of HR module.
    Eg. :-
If anyone take any advance from accounts, after make an entry in FICO, it will directly reflect in his payslip as a note and also display in the salary related report of HR.
In time of recovery, it will automatically deduct the amount from his salary and reflect in his payslip ( in the deduction part ) and reports as per mansion installment ( The no. and amount of installment should be maintain in FICO. )
    With regards,
    Diptendu
