Integration between third party software and SAP

Hi all,
I have requirement in which i have to integrate SAP with third party software. My third party software will be generating material no as we generate in SAP then after the generation of the Material No by the third party software again i have to pull the material no generated and corresponding information into SAP .Please tell me how to do this as i am new to these concepts and if possible please send links from where i can download study materials.

There are many approches for solving this integration issue:
But before solving this issue there are few questions which need to be known:
1. In what form the material no list is generated? i.e. some flat file, in database table, or shared memory
2. What is the language for 3rd party software? C, Java, .Net etc
3. What is the frequency of material number generation? i.e. is it on demand, batch processing etc
Considering 3rd party software is generating flat file or csv files for material number we can have this integration in
following way:
1. Save file at particular location.
2. You can configure logical path in FILE transaction
3. Write ABAP report to read that file using logical path and file name.

4. Read file into internal table using Link: [GUI_UPLOAD|http://saplab.blogspot.com/2007/10/sample-abap-program-to-upload-table.html].
5. Create BDC recording for MM01 transaction for material creation using Link: [SHDB|http://abaplovers.blogspot.com/2008/02/recording-bdc-using-transaction-shdb.html] transaction code.
6. Using data from internal table and BDC recording create all the materials in SAP systems.
    In this step you need to loop at internal table and fill data variables in BDC recording with the internal table data
    and call the transaction MM01 for creating material.
Above steps are very high level guidelines and it is one way of integration but concept wise more or less integration will be in same way!
You can definetly fine tune it by exploring SAP help!

Here is what i want to achieve. I want to create an Adobe form in my DM instance (webdynpro or java). I still have some old application that are not on the SAP platform but those applications could use the same adobe Form. So instead of maintaining Adobe form for DM and another for my non-sap application, i would like send the data from that non-sap application to the forms that is in my DM sap instance, is it possible.

Link between 3rd party software and SAP

Our company uses a 3rd party software for its payroll processing. At the end of every 2 weeks, we receive an Excel file that the clerk sorts and uploads into SAP using LSMW.
The Director of Finance thinks that this process can be achieved much quicker/faster/more efficiently, and he wanted to know if we can directly establish a link between the 3rd party payroll software and SAP.
Any thoughts on how this can be established? Do I have to write a BAPI functional specification for this and work with the ABAP team?

1 - Create Landing Table in R/3
2 - Pull Data from Leagacy to SAP Landing Table

Sap integration with third party software

hey all,
we are actually trying to integrate sap with EAI( IBM WEBSPERE third party software) and here date needs to flow from EAI - SAP.
and we have done that through BAPI and in the EAI we got a message saying that the data base has been created but infact when i am trying to check the same in my sap screen am not able to find it i have also checked the database table but its not available .
do anyone has any idea as to where do we exactly go and search for a particular data once its transferred from a third party software????

COMMIT WORK is necessary after most BAPIs. What you describe is usually a result of calling BAPI without COMMIT WORK. The message tells you that document was created, but when you look into database, the document is not there.
I'm not sure how to resolve this in case of the 3rd party software though. Maybe instead of just using a plain BAPI you will need to write a custom function module, which will capp BAPI and do COMMIT.

Is there any dependency between third-party adapter and XI system service?

Hi Friends,
I'm developing a thrid-party JCA adapter(deployed under sap.com) on SAP XI? In the adapter, it will use "ModuleProcessor" EJB system service.
I found sometimes if the JCA adapter cannot be started correctly, the other system service also not started. And checking the log, I found the reason the JCA adapter not started, is because the "ModuleProcessor" EJB system service is not started.
so just want to know is there any dependency between third-party adapter and XI system service?

You say it could be intruders cutting in - same problem/solution as for any network I think. Access can be password protected or access limited via MAC address filtering. I'm not sure how Apple Tv works with a hidden SSID but that would be another option.
Airplay itself can be password protected through the airplay settings.
I'm not sure if Apple TV works with other authentication such as a password but maybe the manual will assist with this?

Sync data between third-party contacts and calendar apps, and the native apps, in 10.9.3+?

I've had to refrain from updating my Mac Pro from 10.8.5 to 10.9 owing to the removal of SyncServices. I then read that SyncServices was re-introduced on a limited basis in 10.9.3.
It seems unlikely, but I'd like to know whether or not SyncServices in 10.9.3 re-enables the syncing of data between third-party contacts & calendar apps and the native apps, and thereby enables syncing of contacts and calendar info between third-party apps and iOS devices over USB via iTunes. This is the method I use exclusively by choice in 10.8.5, and I will not change it to a cloud-based solution under any circumstances.
If it is not possible, is there a third-party workaround? My calendar app on the Mac Pro at the moment is BusyCal, syncing with Week Cal on the iPhone, but I'll happily buy a new combo of apps if it means I can upgrade to Mavericks and retain USB syncing.
EDIT: a solution which permits syncing of a third-party calendar app on the Mac Pro with a third-party calendar app on the iPhone over an ad-hoc wireless network would also be acceptable, I suppose.

Well, that's pretty disappointing. I guess Apple believes Internet is free and everywhere.

Becuse client can't efford to invest for the sake of small functionality like just sales and service at his compay owned outlets.

SAP HR integration with Third Party Software - PAYCARE

Dear Experts/Gurus,
I am facing the following problem with my client.
Here the client is using Third Party Software "Paycare" for their Payroll
calculation.
Now the problem is that they are giving Incentive Wages one is based on
Target & another one is based on Attendance. Overtime Calculation (OT) is
also given to all the employees.
Incentive Wages calculation is given below:
Eg: PU Machine (12 hrs)
Operator - Rs. 40
Worker - Rs. 30
Helper - Rs. 20
Side Pating - Rs. 20
All the above on DAILY BASIS
Clicking:
Operators - Rs. 300 & Rs. 350
Helpers - Rs. 200
Printing & Embossing:
Workers - Rs. 250
Packing - Rs. 200
Ladies - Rs. 150
All the above on MONTHLY BASIS
Overtime Calculation (OT): OT is given the double once after exceeds the
normal working of 8 hours. Basis for OT Calculation is (Basic Pay +
Dearness Allowance + Special Allowance).
Now the major problem is that the client wants Payroll calculation
whatever happens in Paycare to be captured & calculated in SAP HR & posted
to their respective SAP FICO accounts. They don't want in report wise but
actual calculation to be done in SAP HR.
Is it possible to do this without Payroll implementation in SAP HR because
whenever money part is involved respective Wagetypes has to be configured
in the Payroll.
Please let me know is it possible or not ASAP.

A) But what about the inputs ?? How are you planning to map employees workin on Machines ??
What other modules ur client has implemented
As your client is expecting the calculations in SAP, so they should have Time, PP, MM, etc....
Then SAP will have base inputs.
But Calculation of INcentive will again a development.

A) Your second point is contrary to 1st !! without SAP HR - Payroll???
What exactly u want to say, without SAP HR Payroll, you want to intrate with FICO ???

I uploaded my ipod to a third party software and now I cant find the files.

I was having major problems syncing my ipod with iTunes so I used a third party software called "MediaWidget" to upload my data to itunes, it said it had succesfully uploaded and when i looked in itunes they were all there BUT I then restored my ipod and all data from it was erased when I tried to Sync it with Itunes the following error message came up...
"Some of the items in the iTunes library were not copied to the ipod because they could not be found"
So I then selected some random songs in itunes and it said that the files could not be found. What has happened to my data? PLEASE HELP!

Anyone else have difficulty using third party software and websites with the new MacBook Pro with retinal display?

I just returned my new Mac book pro with retinal display after three very disappointing three weeks of trying to use certain websites and other third party programs (Quickbooks, Raintree) that would not function properly. My husband own the previous MacBook Pro version with the built in CD rom and I was able to use those above mentioned websites and problems with the no difficulties. Did I just happen to get a lemon or is this a function of the computer being too new for third party software?

Programs such as Quickbooks pro for Mac, I was able to import my previous data and I was able to enter about 5 new transactions before it stopped being able to save transactions. Other programs ( Raintree ) that I use via VM software as a windows based program I was able to access and use some features but not others. On the web browsers (both safari and Mozilla) I use a website that has an analyzer feature and it would pull up a blank screen in the place where I would enter pertinent information. They tried pulling this website at the apple store today and the same issue happened. All these programs and website I am able to access and run smoothly with no issues on my husbands MacBook Pro , which is why I returned my MacBook. I just wondered if others were experiencing similar issues with their MacBook with retinal display.

I am trying to send an e-mail form a third party software and it tells me that it can not connect to MAPI. I do not know what that is or what to do about it.

The third party software is called Photo Mechanic.

Groupware Integration with Third party Email and calendar server

Hi All,
We are trying to integrate email, calender and other standard collaboration features with EP7.0.
As per the standard provided by SAP, only Lotus Notes and Exchange transports are provided by SAP.
I would appreciate if some one can guide on how to go about integration this collaboration features with thrid party email and calendar servers other than MS Exchange and Lotus notes.
