Integration bi 7 portal 6 error : rswr_rfc_service_test

Hello,
I try to integrate BI 7.0 in EP 6.0 SP15 but I have an error in SPRO at Step 12 : System failure during call of function module RSWR_RFC_SERVICE_TEST
But I applied the note 937697 : Usage of SAP NetWeaver BI Diagnostics. And everything is green.
I looked at the note 888687 but the errors do not match.
Should we install a component for BI on EP 6.0 ?
Thank you for your help !

Hello,
When I try to create a trust to Java (EP 6.0) from ABAP (BI 7.0), I get an error:

    Hi All,
We have portal ( SAP EP 7.0) as the front end for SRM 7.0 ,We have integrated SRM with portal through the system alias SAP_SRM.
With the PDP scenario the users are facing the below issue while they try to open any documents ( let it be RFx/contract).
"There is no iView available for  system "SAP_SRM": object "cont". For more information, contact your administrator."
We installed the latest JRE (1.6.0.17) in the machine , but it didn't fix the problem. It appears to be a a lorcal issue with the settings in browser as some people ( very few) are able to open the documents.
    Any pointers?

    Hi!
Try to repeat PostInstallation steps for BI Java(Netweaver Administrator - Deploy and Change - Configuration Wizard - BI-Java / Technical configuration of BI-Java (repeatable, reproducible)).
Or you can only try to maintain JCo Destinations, but it is included in step mentioned above.

  • Working with the Portal Error Stack in PL/SQL

    Hi,
In brief, this is a question about the persistence of errors on the stack, as they appear to disappear without warning. Any help would be appreciated, if you'd like background, read on.
I'm writing PL/SQL web applications and as ever one of the required tasks is user validation.
I have a form on a page which submits directly to a stored procedure. If the validation within the proc is ok, the value(s) get inserted into a DB table and the user gets directed to another Portal page. If there is a user input error then the code reloads the original page (via redirect) with the necessary errors displayed.
I used to use the Session storage to hold any error messages and then check to see if any errors existed at the point of page redirection, and this worked fine.
Now that I figure that I should do the job properly and use Portals' error stack, everything falls over!
It would seem that between moving from one page to another any values held in the stack are lost, yet I know they are definitely getting put there in the first place as I can view them, as long as I don't redirect the Portal page.
    Any ideas??
    Thanks in advance.
    Dan

1.) Create a hidden item on your page.
2.) In your Page Rendering PL/SQL Process add logic which assigns 'EDIT' or 'NO_EDIT' to the hidden item.
3.) Create a "Message" HTML region which conditionally displays based of the value of your hidden item being 'NO_EDIT'.
4.) Make your edit field conditionally Read Only based on the value of your hidden item being 'NO_EDIT'.
There may be an easier way but I got this to work

Actually the two error page shown occurs when the page is not found in the portal builder(Object not found) or the user is not allowed to access the page(do not have permission to perform..). These error page are shown automatically by oracle portal. I like to know where these error page is shown in oracle portal so that i can edit the page to suit my needs like change the header etc.
I went to the sample error page to edit but the change was not reflected in the two error pages above so these two error pages might be stored in some location such that when either object not found or no permission, the error pages are reflected in the webpage.

  • Cannot find default Portal error iView DedicationAlerter

    Hi,
I would like to have the default portal error iView collapsed as per default to avoid showing a long stack trace. The path to the default iView can be set here:
      a.      Choose System Administration  -> Support  ->Support-Desk -> Portal Runtime -> Workload Distribution Configuration.
      b.      Click on folder Workload Distribution Configuration.
      c.      Go to edit mode for service DistributionConfiguration.
      d.      In the field Default Alert iView Name  enter the desired iView path and click on Apply.
I can see here that the current default error iview is called: com.sap.portal.supportability.isolde.DedicationAlerter
But where in my PCD can I find this iView so that I can either change a property on it or make a copy to customize? I have done a PCD search and it does not seem to exist.
Or is there another way I can accomplish the same? I know about the Visual Admin settings like DEVELOPMENT_MODE and DetailedErrorResponse but the problem is that they also remove the first line of the stack trace. I would still like to display that line to help support.
    Br Jan

From the setting as you have mentioned previously I think it is directly calling the portal component.
Probably you can have you custom component name in there and see. (download the existing par, do necessary modifications and upload with a different name)
