Integration builder settings

Hi All,
Our XI system is runnig in system PXD and the integration engine and adaper engine is configured in the same system. SLD is configured in a different system viz PBD system.
The problem is when we are executing sxmb_ifr transaction
the integration builder is getting opened from PBD system. I already checked the exchange profile parameters and couldn't able to find anything other than SLD parameters pointing to PBD.
Please give some suggestions to change it back to PXD system when executing sxmb_ifr ?
also please mention where can we make settings specific to integration builder
Thanks
Aby

hi aby
Check the exchange profile parameters in url
http://<webas>:5<sysnr>00/exchangeProfile
maintain  the entries under "Connections"
com.sap.aii.connect.repository.name
com.sap.aii.connect.repository.httpport
Make sure your J2EE server is running. You can find out by going to the URL http://hostname:50000.
Also complete all your post installation activities
reward points if helpfull.

  • Integration Builder configuration.

    Dear All,
I am new to XI as Basis Administrator. I need to configure Integration Builder for developers. All I have access is to SLD http://<hostname>/sld and SAP GUI.
All I know is I need to install JRE with version > 1.4.* and configure web proxy to access XI server.
My question is what will developers expect me to configure, and what will developer be doing with integration builder ? (tasks in broad terms)
Do I need to perfrom any tasks on Visual administrator to make some settings ? what are minimum authorizations should I give to developer ?
Any reasonable advice will be helpful get start configuring integration builder.

    Hi,
    >>My question is what will developers expect me to  configure, and what will developer be doing with   integration builder ? (tasks in broad terms)
    XI Developers needs Rights for
1 Usually the technical system configuration is carried out by basis or admin team
2 Integration builder - creating all design objects, configuration objects
    3. You have to provide access for the developer to monitor in RWB

  • Integration Builder in German, not English

We have three different XI installations running, all 3.0 SP16. In one of these installation, the Integration Builder is always in German instead of English. All language settings are set to EN. The other two installations don't behave like this and are in English.
Does anybody have an idea what causes this and how it can be resolved?

    Hi,
Since your cache in getting update automatically, therefore you should check the RFC in SM59 as mentioned in this document.

  • Abap ProxiesNoconnection to Integration Builder(only generic data Visible)

When we are executing SPROXY from R/3(ECC 6.0)
Getting components ie connected to XI Integration Builder
But when we are executing SPROXY from XI Server , we are not getting connection to Integration Builder, Getting error message like No connection to Integration Builder (only generic data Visible)

    Hi Satish,
Make sure that you are having the following RFC's successful from your ECC/BW system towards your XI Integration Builder.
    1) LCRSAPRFC. - type T
    2) SAPSLDAPI  - type T
    3) PI_INTEGRATIONSERVER - type H
Make sure that settings are done in SLDAPICUST tcode.
Check whether the ICM is running & HTTP port is active in SMICM.
please check the below link as well.. it will be more helpful.

  • No connection to Integration Builder (only generic data visible)(SPROXY)

    Dear All,
I am Establishing connection between BW and XI.
I am getting "No connection to Integration Builder (only generic data visible)" error while opening SPROXY T-Code, also it shows user Menu Disable.
Please suggest me to solve the error.
    thanks,
    RP

    hi RP,
I too had same problem, below are the things taken care and finally fixed.
    1. SLDAPICUST settings pointing to SLD system & port
    2. Create SAPSLDAPI & LCRSAPRFC RFCs pointing to program ID created with SLD and XI system using VA (JCo RFC provider)
    3. Set the require settings with RZ70 pointing to XI system name & HTTP port
4.Create ABAP based HTTP RFC pointing to Target system (XI system ) with HTTP port (smicm-goto-services) and path prefix with "/sap/xi/engine?type=entry" (without quotes). Ensure this RFC is existing at both the ends (source & target).
    5. If incase all ready the Technical System & Business existing at SLD for your business system, you may require to remove them and add them back/manually.
Please let me know if any more info require.
    Thanks
    Chandra

  • Launch Integration Builder

    Hi,
I am new to XI Having problem in launching INTEGRATION BUILDER which I am getting message 'web pages not found'.
My web address is like "http://pi71server1:50000/dir/start/index.jsp".
But my configuration settings in 'SXMB_ADM' > Integration engine configuration> parameters: IS_URL current value dest://SAPISU_XID.
I know I am missing some thing here. And also I have taken care on JAVA WEB START.
But I coundnt stat 'Integration Builder'.
Could some one please let me know where exactly I am missing.
    Thanks,
    Deepak.

    Hi Deepak,
I think the problem with JAVA Version, which version of jre installed on your machine, use 1.5 version,it wl work fine.
Are you able to access ABAP Stack?? if yes then the problem with JRE only.

  • Launch Integration Builder  - Checking version

I have recently received a new laptop at work.
When I launch the Integration Builder: Design and Integration Builder: Configuration from the web page, it says checking for latest version before actually launching the application and this takes ages.
Is there anyway to stop this happening.  It didn't do this on my old machine.
We are on XI3.0 (sp12), I am have JAVA 1.4.2_08 on my machine.

    hi,
try moving content of 2 folders from:
    C:\Documents and Settings\<b>youruser</b>\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\javaws\cache\http\D<b>XISERVER</b>\P<b>J2eeport</b>
    to some other location
when next time you'll log to IB java will be loaded again
    and this may help you

XI Integration Builder run on top of Javau2122 Web Start 1.4.2, which is part of J2SE 1.4.2.
You need to download Javau2122 WebStart 1.4.2
    Troubleshooting:
Probably Javau2122 WebStart does not detect the correct Proxy Settings .
This could be set to None or to specific for values HTTP Proxy and HTTP Port .
Contact your network administrator for the correct settings.
    To change the Proxy Settings:
Select Windows Start menu -> All Programs -> Java Web Start -> Java Web Start
Choose File -> Preferences -> General
Choose None to switch off the proxy settings or Manual to set the HTTP Proxy and HTTP Port.
    ChooseOK
    Close Javau2122 Webstart

  • Deactivate AutoComplete functionality in Integration Builder

    Hi,
did anyone find out how to deactivate the autocomplete functionality in the integration builder? In "Personal Settings" in section Autocomplete there is a check box to decativate this feature and a button to delete the history. The button seems to work in order to delete the history but it seems that the check box does not change anything.
Sometimes the AutoComplete feature is just anoying, especially when you are copying objects...
We are on XI 3.0 SP19
    Thanks and Regards,
    Helmut

    Helmut,
    ><i>Sometimes the AutoComplete feature is just anoying, especially when you are copying objects...</i>
I agree . I have learnt to live with it though. Hopefully someone has the solution.

  • PI 7.11 sp6 Integration Builder - folder view error

    Experts,
We recently installed SAP NW PI 7.11 (ehp1) up to sp6.  This is a new install.  We did all the wizards, etc and things are basically ok.
we execute SXMB_IFR, then go to "integration builder" link and login.
If I change the view from "object view" (icon of 2 people) to "folder view" (icon of folder), we get the following error:
class com.sap.guid.GUID:library:core_lib at com.sap.engine.boot.loader.ResourceMultiParentClassLoader at 2353f67e at alive incompatible with interface com.sap.aii.ib.bom.gen.XiReference:sap.com/com.sap.xi.directory at com.sap.engine.boot.loader.ResourceMultiParentClassLoader at 79c008cf @ alive
I found this note, but it does not quite describe my problem:
Note 1525457 - Previous version of Directory API and Value Mappings
I searched all through SDN and OSS, nothing yet.  I'm going to put in a message but I was wondering if anyone out there has seen this?
    Thanks!

    experts,
FYI, ready my problem details but I wanted to add one thing.  Apparently were were at sp5 for a brief time and our developer did create some object while at that level.  He reported the issue since we moved to SP6

  • Unable to Launch Integration Builder: Java Web Start problem

    Hi,
I am unable to launch the integration builder. I am using JDK 1.4.2_05. The java Web Start gives the following error:
Unsigned application requesting unrestricted access to system
    Unsigned resource: http://<XIHostName>:50000/rep/repository/aii_util_rb.jar
I have tried deleting the Java web start cache, and even reinstalling the JDK.
Can someone suggest a workaround this problem ?
    thanks,
    Manish

The Java Web Start cannot accept unsigned jars. If the jars are signed, it will ask in a dialog box if it should allow unrestricted access to this jar.
In my case, I upgraded XI SP0 to SP4, which included updating the Adapter Core, Adapter Framework, and the XI TOOLS to SP4.
On launching the Web start, it seemed that the jars were not getting signed. JWS cannot allow unsigned jars to the client.
    These jars are maintained in:
    \usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\global\xi\directory_server\javaws\directory
I am having problems with my XI upgrade to SP4, and it is probably not signing the jars.
Do you know why this may be happening ...
    thanks,
    Manish
