Integration Component installation - Java JDK 5.0

Hi
Could someone point me exactly to the correct version of Java that needs to be installed on a Server 2008 (64 bit).  The one mention in the notes does not seem to be available now and I am not sure what to install as an alternative.
Thanks
Ian

  • Installation of B1 Integration Component in SAP Business One 9.0 PL 08

    Hi Experts
I have trouble with installing B1 integration component
Below is the specs of the system
    1. SAP 9.0 PL 08
    2. SQL 2008 R2
    3. Windows 7 32 Bit
Initially this system was with installed with SAP 9.0 PL 05 and later upgraded to PL 08
During the installation of PL05, I tried installing the Integration Component and it failed, so I skipped it that time
Now the Customer is in need of configuring the Dash Board and Mobile Apps
So now its a must install situation for me
When I try to install from the package it creates the attached error log file in desktop with the message stating "multiple launches of this installer is not allowed. it will quit now."
(find attached file for the error details)
Please let me know if any more information needed
    Thanks

    Hi Bastian
    Thanks for the reply,
Actually, I did not have B1if Installation in place, so I did not uninstall anything after your reply
But I saw the .com.zerog.registry.xml file located in C:\Program Files\Zero G Registry, and I deleted the whole folder, since there are no other program files
Cleared the temp folder as well, restarted the machine, but it still din work
I have some clarifications as well
    1. Do I need to install from the PL08 Package this is an upgrade version
    2. OR do I need to install it from the PL05 Package, as this is an Installation version
FYI, I have tried both still no avail
I first tried inslattion from a external hard disk, and later copied the installation file in the local drive and tried, does it makes a difference ?
Any way thanks again for your reply

  • SAP Integration Kit installation - BW Publisher parameters

    Hi,
We are working on an BO GRC RM 3.0 scenario (Windows/SQL Server). As per architecture requirements we are currently installing BOBJ Integration Kit for SAP. However the following doubt comes up. As per architecture requirement also, and as it was defined for our scenario there is no need for an BI system (AS JAVA was installed only as EP usage type) if the reporting is going to be used with BOE Crystal. What we need there, is to install and BOBJ SAP Integration kit on BOE XI 3.1 server and to import Crystal transport files in AS ABAP (SAP_ABA, SAP_BASIS, PI_BASIS, SAP_BW).
During the Integration Kit installation process we are being prompted for BW Publisher parameters where an RFc to a BW system is required. As mentioned earlier, we donu2019t have an BW system since BOE Crystal will be used instead of WebDynpro ABAP ListViewer...Are we using the incorrect Integration Kit? Should I install BI_Content Add-on installed on AS ABAP even when reporting is going to be used with Crystal Report?
Hoping being clear enough, please let me know if I can proceed with Integration kit installation in this way or should I have some other precautions for this particular solution implementation.
    Thanks and best regards.

    Hi,
in case you do not have SAP BW as part of the landscape then there is no need to install the publishing component

    Hello Eddy,
the problem was not with the Java version. I installed the correct version.
I solved my problem, since it was a new server, the .net framework was not preinstalled.
You need .NET to use integration component. After i installed it, i had to completly reinstall IC, and every problem solved.
    Thanks for your reply anyway.
    Best regards,
    Otto

The file should be encoded in PEM format? Correct?
I submitted to Godaddy.com and have read over their ionstructions to install Cert.
Download a Chain Certificate from the Certificate Authority you obtained the Certificate from.
    For GoDaddy.com go to https://idp.godaddy.com/login.aspx?SPKey=PKI-GD-S-01
Import the Chain Certificate into keystore
NOTE: Copy CA ROOT Certtificate to C:\xxxxx\_jvm\bin

Tomcat - Server.xml is fine - uses the correct Keystore - we have proven that.
But - the Java Keystore does "not" use the correct "key" in the keystore?
How can that be? What could we be doing wrong?
    Any help is appreciated.

  • How to install video Integration component

    Dear Experts
Link how to install video Integration component
    https://websmp106.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000739542010E/index.htm
    Regards
    Carlos Farías

    It says
To install this component, just drag the File "XviD_Codec 1.0 alpha.component" into Library/QuickTime. The Library directory can be found either at your home directory (to install just for the actual user) or at the top-level of your startup volume (this needs an administrator account). DO NOT PUT IN: /System/Library/QuickTime.
Sounds normal to me. The "~/Library/QuickTime" folder is the standard location for user and application installed QT components which are used globally by all account users. On the other hand, the "~/System/Library/QuickTime" folder is where QT components installed by the operating system installer are placed for global use. These instructions appear to be correct.
It is possible that the QuickTime directory does not yet exists. In that case you can create it yourself. Pay attention to capital letters if you use a case sensitive file system (i.e. UFS).
    I do not have Library/Quicktime.
Highly unlikely if you are running Mac OS X V10.5.8 as indicated in your posting. As you can see here, when the startup drive is opened at the root level, you should find a minimum of four folders—the "Applications" folder, the "Library" folder, the "System" folder, and the "Users" folder. Without these folders, your computer would be little more than an electrified paperweight.
    I do not have Library/Quicktime.
Either you are looking in the wrong place or someone has been playing around on your system (e.g., in the Console app) and made the folder invisible.

  • How to upgrade to Java JDK 1.7 on Ubuntu Unix Server 12?

Well, I have just installed Ubuntu Server 12, and, I am trying to get Java JDK 1.7 to run within the unix box, so I took the easy way and it would seem like there is some variant named 'ice tea' which is based on 1.6. When finding (searching) within the file system a file named java exists within /usr/bin, and, this is the bundled version of java, which is not the latest. Is Ubuntu Server still unsupported by Oracle?
Next I typed in sudo apt-get install jdk and sudo apt-get install java, however, no package is found. Does this mean that I have to install JDK by downloading it through the browser, or can Oracle make this available to apt-get users?
Unfortunately, Oracle Virtual Box does not seem to have a way to copy and paste the contents of the screen, and it would be impractical to upload a whole snapshot when I just need to demonstrate a subset of what I typed in to my friends here at the forum.

Oracle doesn't need to support anything, other than delivering a Linux build of OpenJDK. How the plethora of different Linux flavors manage the software installation is basically up to the people that manage the distribution.
And less than 10 seconds glancing at the front page of icedtea indicates that the more recent versions are based on OpenJDK 7. Installation instructions are also there. A quick google for "icedtea ubuntu server" provided me this:

  • How to install java jdk and jrel offline ?

I have java jdk and jrel installed; and developed and run a java application on my laptop#1 . I want to copy the java jdk, jrel, and the application onto my laptop#2 offline, how can I do it. I have no Window Installer on my laptop#2, and I cannot find Window Installer on my laptop#1. If I only want to run the java application but no development work on my laptop#2, do i need java jdk on it? Thanks for help.

If you have Windows installed, you have the Windows Installer.
Offline download/installation of either the JDK or the JRE contains a current version of the Windows installer.
A JRE is required to run Java programs. A JDK is required to develop Java programs.

  • Java JDK 7 u17 won't install and Eclipse won't run past boot logo.

Java JDK 7 u17 won't install and Eclipse won't run past boot logo. Eclipse Classic used to work fine for awhile. I haven't used it for a month or two and tried to boot it, Eclipse won't run past boot logo. It looks like JDK is not even there anymore. JDK won't install successfully. I have Mac OS X 10.8.3.
I tried removing Java, re-download JDK multiple times.. same results.
    MyComputer-MacBook-Air:~ MyComputer$ java -version
    java version "1.7.0_17"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_17-b02)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.7-b01, mixed mode)

Paul Adare is correct in saying that you cannot "upgrade" from 32-bit to 64-bit. You can, however, backup your files and reload them onto your PC.
Given that you are able to boot Windows 7 after the failure to install Windows 10 Technical Preview, it is apparent that you are not formatting the drive during your clean installation. There are a number of potential issues an existing configuration can
cause, such as preventing Windows Setup from registering boot files, modifying partitions, or moving an existing installation and data to the windows.old folder. I would recommend removing the partitions from your drive (note: this will erase any data remaining
on the hard disk) during installation to ensure that Windows Setup has a fresh hard drive to install to. If you continue to experience errors, two other factors to take into consideration are:
Does your system use a storage controller that requires loading a driver during Windows Setup?
Is the hardware malfunctioning? Do the hard disk and memory pass testing software like Windows Memory Diagnostic or chkdsk?

java/jdk version 1.4.2_04Oracle supplies its own JRE environment with the installation. Why you want to update your JDk ? What's the reason?

  • Java JDK Versions?

I am installing 11g XE, Weblogic, Forms & Reports, and SQLDesigner for a class and I don't understand why it keep whining about needing obsolete JDK versions. We all know there was a big uproar over Java security issues over the past few years so I don't understand why this software would be complaining when I try to tell it to use the current JDK version. Isn't Java JDK always written to be backward compatible? What about the real installations of this software? Or is the JDK version irrelevant if the JRE is up to date?

    Hey guys,
Sorry in advance if my question is a bit uncalled for in this thread.
Somehow I have not managed to get the latest version of Java (1.6.0_31) installed on my MacBook.
According to JavaTester.org I have version 1.6.0_29 which is confirmed by my Java Preferences Panel.
The only 2 versions listed in the panel are 1.6.0_29 (64-bit) and 1.6.0_29 (32-bit)
The webplugin check from firefox states that 'Java Applet Plug-in" is not up to date.
Firefox Add-on Tab says I have 'Java Applet Plug-in' version 14.0.3
Oracle.com says the latest version of Java is  Version 7 Update 3
Java.com says the latest version of Java is Version 6 Update 31
Furthermore Java.com says updates will be automatically download through 'Apple Software Update' but it shows no sign of an update.
What's wrong? What is the latest version of both Java JDK and Applet? How can I fix this?
