  • What are the config steps for contract mass change and quota arrangement?

    Hi friends
what are the config steps for contract mass change and quota arrangement?
    Regards
    Raj Kumar

    Process Flow
The mass change process consists of four steps. You navigate between these steps by choosing the Next and Back buttons located at the bottom right-hand corner of the screens.
           1.      Search for contracts
You search for and select the contracts or the contract hierarchy that you want to change.
Contracts that have the status Closed cannot be changed.
           2.      Define mass changes
You specify the changes you want to make.
You make changes at header data level and at item data level by choosing the relevant change methods. A green tick appears next to each change parameter so that you can see where changes are already active.
Once you enter this step, the documents you have selected to be changed are locked so that other users cannot make changes to them until you are finished with this process.
           3.      Simulate mass changes
Here you can perform a trial run of your mass changes. This simulation step is optional.
We recommend that you perform this step so that you can check how the change methods you have chosen will be processed by the system.
You receive status messages about the change methods for each contract and can quickly see whether any errors arise in connection with the proposed changes at this stage. From this step, it is easier for you to go back and correct the error than after applying the changes.
    Background processing
The system processes the changes in the background.
If there are a large number of contracts to be processed, this step could take some time to complete. In this case, you can leave the transaction so that you can, for example, carry out other tasks in the meantime.
The system sends you an e-mail once the simulation step is complete. The e-mail contains a link to the relevant screen in the application so that you can return to it when it is convenient for you to do so. If you have left the SRM application, you can only return via this link.
Here you can see the status of the changes and, if necessary, you can correct any errors by going back to the Define mass changes step.
The messages that you receive in the simulation step are not confirmation that a change has been performed. They simulate the messages you get after you apply the changes. You must complete the final step of the mass change process and apply the changes before they take effect.
           4.      Carry out mass changes
Here you apply the changes to the contracts.
You cannot reverse this step, which is why we advise you to perform the simulation step beforehand.

  • What are the config steps for contract hierarchies and vendor hierarchies?

    Hi friends
what are the config steps for contract hierarchies and vendor hierarchies?
    Regards
    Raj Kumar

    Contract hierarchies
A function that enables users authorized to create a purchasing contract to define relationships between super- and subordinate contracts.
A contract hierarchy consists of one or multiple contracts and is subject to the following rules:
The top node of the hierarchy cannot have a superordinate contract
Every contract except for the top node has exactly one superordinate contract
Every contract can have none, one, or multiple subordinate contract(s)
A contract can be part of no hierarchy or exactly one hierarchy
Note:Contract hierarchies are only available for purchasing contracts. They are not available for global outline agreements.
You can activate this from SRM Server> Cross application settings>Activate Hierarchies for Product Categories, Vendors, and Contracts.
    Note:
These hierarchy functions should not be reset once they have been activated.
Similiarly you can do this for Vendor Hirerachies.

    Hello
    Hope this also helps:
    1.     Activate New GL
The New General Ledger Accounting by a single click on the clock icon
You will reach to change view "activation of New GL A/cg" detail screen and tick the checkbox and save.
After activation of New General Ledger Accounting, you exit the IMG screen When you re-enter , you find that a new node is added Financial Accounting (New)
    2.     Define Segment
After activation of New General Ledger Accounting , a new sub node appears in the IMG structure.
This sub node is Define Segment
    The menu path is:
SAP Customizing IMG ---> Enterprise Structure ---> Definition --> Financial Accounting --> Define Segment
In this IMG activity, you define your segments.
If you then define your profit centers, you can enter an associated segment in the master record of a profit center. The segment is then derived from the assigned profit center during posting.
Activation has created a new field in Profit Center Master Record : the SEGMENT
    3.     Leading and Non- Leading Ledgers
In General Ledger Accounting , you can use several Ledgers in parallel. This allows you to produce financial statements according to different accounting principles. A ledger uses several dimensions from the totals table it is based upon. When defining Ledgers , one must be defined as the Leading Ledger . The Leading Ledger is based on the same accounting principles as that of the consolidated financial statements. It is integrated with all subsidiary ledgers and is updated in all company codes. This means that it is automatically assigned to all company codes. In each company code, the Leading Ledger receives exactly the same settings that apply to that company code : the currencies, the fiscal year variant and posting period variant .
You must designate one of your ledgers as the Leading Ledger. It is not possible to designate more than one ledger as the leading ledger.
    The menu path is :
    SAP Customizing IMG -
    > Financial Accounting ( New ) -
    > Financial Accounting Basic Settings (New) -
    > Ledgers -
    > Ledger -
    > Define Ledgers for General Ledger Accounting
Clicking on the checkbox identifies one of your ledgers as the Leading Ledger.
    4.     Activation of Non Leading Ledgers
Non Leading Ledgers are parallel ledgers to the Leading Ledger . They can be based on local accounting principle, for example. You have to activate a non- Leading Ledger for individual company codes. Non- Leading Ledgers can have different fiscal year variants and posting period variants per company code to the Leading Ledger of this company code.
    The menu path is :
SAP Customizing IMG ---> Financial Accounting ( New ) -
    > Financial Accounting Basic Settings (New) -
    > Ledgers -
    > Ledger -
    > Define and Activate Non --Leading Ledgers
    5.     Assign scenarios to ledgers
A Scenario combines Customizing settings from different business views. Each business view specifies which posting data is transferred from different application components in General Ledger Accounting, such as cost Center update or ProfitCenter update .You assign the desired scenarios to your ledgers. For each ledger, you define which fields are filled with posting data from other application components.
SAP delivers a number of scenarios in the standard system. It is possible to create additional scenarios.
    The menu path is:
    SAP Customizing IMG -
    > Financial Accounting ( New ) -
    > Financial Accounting Basic Settings (New) -
    > Ledgers -
    >Fields -
    > Display Scenarios for General Ledger Accounting.
    6.     Cost of sales accounting
Cost of sales accounting is a way to create a profit and loss statement (P & L) for a company by comparing the revenues to the costs or expenses incurred to obtain these revenues.
The expenses are mainly divided by functional area such as:
    Manufacturing
    Administration
    Sales
    Research and Development
We can activate Cost of Sales Accounting by the following menu path :
    SAP Customizing IMG -
    > Financial Accounting ( New ) -
    > Financial Accounting Basic Settings (New) -
    > Ledgers -
    > Activate Cost of Sales Accounting
    Reg

  • Can any please explain the integration business process between PS and CS

    Dear Guru's
Can any please explain the integration business process between Project systems (PS) and customer service (CS).
Business Process: We do machinery Erection or commissioning, later we do provide service warranty for one year.
How we map this Business scenario in sap.
    Regards,
    Bhanu

basic steps for such a process would be
    1) Use PS functionality for your machinery erection or commisioning work. Once the physical work is completed then close porject
    2) Use CS functionality for warranty and service - set up the work as a functional location on customer site (PM/CS functionality)
    3) Use service order to manage any service calls on the object which could require billing via SD module - bill value may be zero if under warranty

  • BPM - Do we need receiver determination step between trans and sync send?

    Hi Gurus,
I have a 1:1 transformation step followed by a sync send step. The transformation step is executing fine. While the sync step is executing, I am getting an error says 'No receiver determination found'.
While I am executing this sync step in a separate, it is working fine.
Do I need to have 'Receiver determination step' between Transformation step and Sync send step? I think so. Can somebody confirms this?
    Thanks for your kind help.
    Kalyan

    Hi,
I think there is no need of a Receiver determination step in the BPM.
You should have a proper receiver determination in configuration for this BPM scenario. (i.e) A receiver determination from BPM to the service configured for the synchronous interface.

  • Is there a way to find all config changes between clients and sap system

We have our Dev system with clients
310 - Developer make changes and create transport
    400 - Test client
    410 - a copy of our Production system (over 1 year ago0
TST - this is our quality system with one client
    101
    Production system one client
    101
I know if i do a database copy from Production to our TST system, both systems would be exact.
Abaper Director wants to know all the configuration changes that are different between Devopment client 310 - Test and production.
I told him that in development client 310 the abaper or functional users make most of the changes if they do  not get transported they would be missing.
I cannot copy to client 310 otherwise we would loose all of our version management.
Is there another way that I can see the config changes between all these clients.
    Thanks
    Joe

You should be able to use tcode SCU0

  • FICO-Invoice Parking and approval; Unable to complete some Config steps

FICO-Invoice Parking and approval; Unable to complete some Config steps
I am using standard WF: WS10000051 (SAP template) in Accounts payable to get triggered for Invoice Parking-Approval and Posting.
    One of the steps mentioned at help.sap.com is below;
    1. Data for Event Linkage
    Object type     FIPP
    Event     CREATED
    Receiver type     WS10000051
    Receiver module     SWW_WI_CREATE_VIA_EVENT
    2. Check Function
    Receiver type (function module)
    Global     X
    Enabled     X
I could get to 1. Data for Event Linkage which is T Code SWETYPV but could not find 2. Check Function.
Where do I set the parameters for :  2. Check Function in SAP

    Regards
    Nilabh

You dont need to assign the Check function module.
Check function module is used to prevent the workflow from triggering if the checks written in the function fail.
For eg. check if the invoice amount is GT 500. If yes trigger workflow else dont.
