Integration Kit and SSO

Hi ;
1)  Is there a valid comprehensive  Guide to install Integration Kit , SETUP SSO  between SAP BW and Business Object
2) if we have an AD authentication turned on for windows - bobj users  , can we still use that authentication for users when accessing CRYSTAL REPORTS based on ( sap bw data ) ,, if so how do we do that
Thanks

Hi,
you SAP system can only handle one set of SNC libraries so if the goal is to have Thin and Thick Client support then you need to look for a SNC software that does support both scenarios.
The mentioned SAP Crytpo Lib only does support web based scenarios as it is focusing on server trust.
You can look at software available by other vendors for example TFS, SECUDE, ...

  • Data Integration Kit and SAP BI

    Hi Guys,
    Have a quick question.
My understanding was we use Data Integration kit in order to integrate Crystal Report and SAP BI. To create an Universe , we dont need Data Integration Kit.
    Can anyone please confirm?

  • Report on olap universe (integration kit) fails by WEBI and it runs by Rich

I've implemented the integration Kit and an OLAP universe query based and it runs.
I've a problem on a report that runs via Rich Client and fails via web client.
We are on BI 7.0 sp 19. Is it necessary to upgrade to BI 7.01 SP03 or SP04 ? We've seen your interesting document about the improvement of perfomance of BI 7.01 SP04 but we'd like to upgrade our BI system 7.0 in 2 months and not now.
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards.

    Hi Sebastian,
The BO XI 3.1 Fix pack Level is 1.7. We have activated traces but we don't know if the traces are java.
We have the problem with reports with a large quantity of data, in report with a low quantity of data webi runs.
OSS ask us to evaluate the upgrade of our SAP BI to the EHP1 03 but it requires 2 weeks and we'd like to evaluate all alternatives before to do it.
    Thanks in advance.

  • What went wrong in this Integration kit  Installation - Any Clue

    Hi Ingo and other experts,
I'm trying to install SAP Integration kit and as usual like most of others I'm also getting the common error while importing the roles.
    "com/sap/mw/jco/JCO$Function"
    1. BO Enterprise is installed on Windows server 2003 64 bit Enterprise Edition Operating System.
    2. The BI system which I'm using on a different Windows server 2003 32 bit operating system. ( I'M INSTALLING ALL THE FILES ON THE 64 BIT SERVER ON WHICH BO ENTERPRISE IS INSTALLED. BUT NOT ON 32 BIT SYSTEM WHICH HAS SAP BW/BI).
Note: I only have the ABAP stack on my server. There is no Java stack installed on the 32 BIT SAP BW/BI  SERVER.
    3. I copied the sapjco3.jar  file to  C;\Program Files\ Business Objects\Tomcat55\Common\lib.
    4. I copied the sapjco3.dll to C:\WINDOWS\system32
    5. I got the latest SAP GUI and that is the reason I did not replace the librfc32.dll  file as it is said in Ingo's blog.
    6. I copied the sapjcorfc.dll  to C:\WINDOWS\system32
    7. I copied sapjco.jar  to  C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat55\common\lib  folder.
    8. Also I did the transports as mentioned in Ingo's blog.
I restarted the server 2 times and I checked that every server is up and running.
But no luck.  Can anyone suggest me a note or a thread to solve this wierd issue.
    Sirisha.

--Are you using Tomcat as web server?
Yes. I'm using Tomcat as the web server.
--In this case please use the Java Connector 2.1.8 and use the 32bit version.even if your BOBJ server runs on a 64bit windows system.
--I'm using the Java Connector 2.1.8. But for 64 Bit. I'm unable to find the 32 bit jco 2.1.8.
I'm did download the 32 bit jco file. Pasted the new 32 bit file in SYSTEM32 FOLDER AND SysWOW64  folder.
    --Copy librfc32.dll and sapjco.dll in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 directory.
I copied these 2 files to the location specified.  I copied the sapjcorfc.dll  file to SysWOW64 folder.
--After you do this just uninstall and re-install the integration Kit for SAP solutions.
I'm going to do that now.
Thanks a lot for your help Stratos.

  • Crystal Report XI R2 compatablity with SAP Integration kit

    Hi All,
we have suggested to one of our customer  the Customized pack of BO XI Edge series which include the licensing of Xcelsius , WEBI , Universe designer, SAP Integration kit and Live office...
He dont want to pay extra for taking the license for cryatal report 2008 as they already using the Crystal Report XI R2 version which they use to do reporting on non SAP data.
    My question is :
1 - Now they want to do reporting ove SAP data using the existing CR solution they have is it possible ??
2- Will the integration kit support the CR XI R2 version ??
3- Can he publish the Crystal Report created by CR XI R2 to the Business Object Edge Series plateform ??
They just want to use CR to do reporting on data from R/3 side .
    Kindly suggest.
    Regards,
    Mishra,Vibhav.

    Dear Ingo,
    Thanks for the reply.
Actally we have suggested to our client the latest Edge Series Standard pack solution , excluding the crystal report licensing.
My question is will the integration kit which comes along with the Edge series will support the existing Crystal Report XI R2 and can the it be integrated with BOE(can he publish the reports created with the earlier version to the Business Object plateform).
If the above sceanario is not possibe then we have to purchse the older version of integartion and i doubt if we can purchse it stand alone in that case we would be having two integration kits running to solve the purpose.
    Kindly suggest.
    Warm regards,

  • Explore SAP CL cluster table folder using Crystal Integration Kit

    Dear All,
I am a SAP FICO consultant and have just installed the SAP integration kit and CRYSTAL 2008 with a Business Object consultant. We planned to access the SAP cluster tables and replace some ABAP reports with CRYSTAL and Business Objects Reports.
We have encountered the below two key problems, which I am hoping you can help with:
    - I am only able to view the three folders stated (CL, DD & FN) after giving the CRYSTAL User ID full SAP_ALL access and not with the limited access in the installation guide, profile CRYSTAL_ENTITLEMENT.
    - I can not see any cluster tables within the CL (Cluster) folder as expected and only see data in the FN (Function) & DD (Data dictionary), even after giving the CRYSTAL ID the SAP_ALL access.
Please can you assist from your experience of implementing the Integration kit with SAP ERP?
Products used: SAP ECC6, CRYSTAL 2008 SP2 and current Integration Kit.
    Kind Regards,
    Mo.
Edited by: Mo Habib on Nov 6, 2009 2:26 PM

Thanks for you replies and I also had a look at Ingo's blog "BusinessObjects and SAP Part 4". The blog indicates that the CL folder is not for the standard cluster tables but specifically for ABAP clusters. Hence why I can not see any tables within this folder as they have to be mapped and setup in SAP if required.
My installation must therefore be correct and I should just use the DD folder for accessing SAP cluster tables? Many thanks for your help and if you can confirm my above assumption then I will mark question as answered.
    Cheers,
    Mo.

  • Help! with jeep / mopar integration kit

Okay, so i got my jeep dealer to install the mopar ipod integration kit, and it works with my 30g video, sort of--it plays, and displays the names of the songs on the factory RBQ radio, but when i try to display the playlists, albums, or artists, the screen says "updating" and does not change and all the controls are frozen.
I tried it with a friend's 60g, and it works fine--it displays his playlists, etc. and lets me navigate through them. I checked his, and we have the same software versions on the ipod and itunes, and we have the same settings all the way through. I've tried resetting my 30g, but just don't know what else to do because it works fine with his, but not mine. Any suggestions???
    video 30g   Windows XP

If your 4g is recognised by the system but not charging then purchase a passport. Apple do one and you can easily purchase a Scosche passport from Amazon. This should solve the problem.

  • Integration kit for SAP installation

    Dear All,
We have Ecc6 EHP5 server ( only ABAP instance not JAVA) installed also BW by default in same server we just create new client ( 300 as BW client ) from RSA1
    OS is Suse linux 11.
We installed Business objects EDGE 3.1 in different server which is also Suse Linux 11 server
and then installed client tools like Xcelsius , Crystal Reports etc in user Laptop which is base on windows xp.
now we installed Integration kit for SAP in the server where we installed  Business objects EDGE 3.1 ( in Suse linrux machine )
during installed of integration kit for SAP no input related to BW server because BOBJ connect to BW ( that is why we installed integration kit for SAP) and why we need java connector we don't have JAVA instance, and what to do next
    Regards
    Shahid

    Thanks Ingo Hilgefortfor your reply.
    My queries is
    1.    We have only abap instance , Java instance is mandatory for BOBJ ?
    2.    We installed BOBJ edge 3.1 in Linux server and in same server we installed Integration kit for SAP ( during the installation of
integration kit no input related to connected server ( BW server ) how to integrate BOBJ edge 3.1 with BW server) what
           Next ?
    3.   after installation of integration kit and import transport request in BW server ( which in actually act as client in ECC 6 server)
when we goto http://server:8080/CmcApp  then to Authentication  it shows enterprise and Ldap no SAP authentication I also
download java connector and place it ..../Tomcat/shared/lib/sapjco.jar ?

  • Integration kit for SAP Solutions

    Hi gurus,
i've encountered a problem with BO XI 3.0 Integration for SAP Solutions.
I've installed in a virtual machine BO XI Edge series for NON-SAP solutions evaluation copy, when I try to run web InfoView everything working fine. The infoview path is http://<servername>:6405/InfoViewApp and it take itself the "logon.jsp" file.
Now my goal was connect BO and my BW server. I've downloaded BO Integration kit for SAP solutions 3.1 but installation locked for a WSDL (I have no idea what WSDL is) than i try with 3.0 version.
I've downloaded JCO jar and dll files (sapjco3-ntamd64-3.0.2) and putted them on the right (i think) path.
I've installed Integration kit and installation goes fine.
Now when i try to catch infoview page 404 not found Internet explorer page is show  but CMS is on,intelligent agent too.
It can be a tomcat problem?
    Can anyone help me?
    thanks in advance!

Guys you were good!!!every installation things was right!!
I've the last question about SAP Authentication: when I try to call the SAP auth page i retrieve the follow error:
    HTTP Status 404 - /SAP/jsp/auth/sapsec_logsys.faces
    type Status report
    message /SAP/jsp/auth/sapsec_logsys.faces
description The requested resource (/SAP/jsp/auth/sapsec_logsys.faces) is not available.
    Apache Tomcat/5.5.20
I think is a Jco jar error,it's right?
In the (awesome) ingo blog there is: "put sapjco.jar file into the path C:\program files\...\tomcat55\shared\lib\, but i have not shared folder, than before installation i putted sapjco.jar into C:\program files\...\tomcat55\server\lib\ folder..was wrong?
    thanks a lot guys!

  • Integrating Web Services Manager with Oracle Portal and SSO

    Hi,
I wanted to throw this out there and make sure I was on the right track and also if somebody can point me to some resources online that might help. Basically, we have OWSM acting as a Gateway securing some web services. Oracle Portal is integrated w/ Oracle SSO (as well as using OID). What is the best way to pass the credentials to the OWSM from the Portal for authentication purposes? I believe using SAML voucher token is the way to go, but I'm not positive. Has anybody done this before and if so, what methodology did you use? I'm assuming since using SSO, we don't necessary want to also pass in the password.
    Thanks,
    Nathan

I have noticed that nobody has same kind of situation and this is not intresting question. Still we have same problem and I have heard many oracle employee saing that this behaviour is wanted situation. In our kind of virtual host enviroment it would be nice to choose behaviour of Single-sign-on server and I request oracle support to find out ways to enable this option... I would be pleased if some oracle development would say opinion about this mater. Waiting for ideas.

  • Visual Age 3.5, WLS 5.1, Integration Kit 5.1 beta and JSP?

    Hello,
i have a problem with the missing JSP-support in Visual Age. It would be a
workaround to develop JSP outside Visual Age and just put them into the
myserver/public_html directory. But if i start WLS from within Visual Age,
the JSP won't compile, i get the error:

Operating System is WinNT 4.0, Service Pack 6, i use the professional

Is there a wrong setting in the IDE or is it impossible to develop JSPs with

  • Visual Age 3.5.3 and WebLogic Integration Kit

I have Visual Age for Java Enterprise Edition v3.5.3
When I install WebLogic Integration Kit, i receive an alert message:
Visual Age for Java is not installed.
Can anyone say me if WebLogic Integration Kit found in Visual Age 3.5.3?

    Israel,
The WebLogic Integration Kit is certified to work with VAJ 3.5 and not VAJ
3.5.3. The kit supporting VAJ 3.5.3 should be available on BEA's download
site sometime by the end of this week.
    Thanks,
    Nirav.

  • Error using CR 11.5 with dynamic cascading prompts and SAP Integr.Kit XI R2

    Hi,
we are using the SAP Integration Kit XI R2 (patched up to FP4.3) in order to report SAP BW data (BW 3.5) in Crystal Reports 11.5 (SP 4). In order to access the stored BEx Queries we use either the SAP BW Query or the SAP BW MDX Query Driver (_we DO NOT use any universes_). Everything seems to work fine ex cept when we want to use dynamic cascading LOVs within CR. For example when a user runs a report she/he should select first a customer group (0CUST_GROUP prompt) and then the customer (0DEBITOR). Defining the cascading prompts with dynamic LOVs is no problem in CR and when the report runs (either in CR Designer or in InfoView) both prompts appear. Still when we do a selection for the first prompt (0CUST_GROUP) we get a 0x8004380D error with the text message stating that the system is not able to retrieve the LOV data (I guess for the 0DEBITOR prompt). Please note that we do not get a corba error and no firewalls are activated. We checked the trace files of the page server and found out that there was an error calling the createRowsetCursor function within enginekernel.cpp.
Any hints on our case will be mostly appreciated. We have the feeling that we are hitting a bug here but maybe we are overseeing something.
    Cheers
    Stratos
PS: Please note that if we access directly the ODS Object (SAP ODS driver) the dynamic cascading prompts on exactly the same InfoObject (or better their keys in the ODS) work without a problem.

    Hi Stratos
You can define LOV's in universes but unfortunately you can not use universes based on SAP in Crystal Reports.
You can define parameters in the Bex query which are passed on to Crystal Reports, so you don't need to define them in the Business Objects tools. Please have a look at the SAP Integration Kit user's guide

  • Crystal Reports 10 and SAP Integration Kit

    Hi,
we have a customer using crystal reports 10. Is it possible to use the SAP Integration Kit for version 10? When installing the Kit (Version XI 3.0) there is an error that we do not use CR 2008.
    Thanks in advice
    Claudia

    Hello Claudia,
the SAP Integration Kit is always dependent on the product releases. there is a Crystal Reports v 10 and Crystal Enterprise v 10 and a SAP Integration Kit v 10 - but keep in mind that v 10 is already out of support.
Crystal Reports 2008 requires the SAP Integration Kit XI 3.x and BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.x

  • Integration KIT R2 and BW7.0

    Hi all,
i would like to know if is possible to integrate a BO XI R2 on a SAP system with BW7.0.
I've downloaded the integration kit R2 for sap, and the file platforms_en.txt included in it speaks about the following:
    ==========
    4: SAP GUI
    ==========
SAP 620 GUI, patch level 42
SAP 640 GUI, patch level 8
    ==============
    5: SAP Servers
    ==============
SAP BW 3.0b, BASIS level 55, ABA level 55, BW level 29
SAP BW 3.1c, BASIS level 55, ABA level 55, BW level 23
SAP BW 3.5,  BASIS level 16, ABA level 16, BW level 15
    SAP R/3 4.6c BASIS level 46c, ABA level 46c
    SAP R/3 4.7  BASIS level 41, ABA level 41
mySAP ERP 2004 BASIS level 9, ABA level 9
    SAP Enterprise Portal 6 SP3
Is there a way to integrate BOXI R2 with BW 7.0?
    Thanks to anyone will answer.
    Kind Regards
    Massimo Solleretto

    HI Massimo,
on the machine where the BO Server runs on, you just have just to download and install the SAP Java Connector 2.1.6 (You do not need to install SAP GUI on your server). For your development client installations (i.e Universe Designer, Crystal Reports Designer) you have to install SAP GUI  6.40.
Just look in the actual document about the supported platforms for the int.KIT for SAP XI R2.
SAP GUI 7.10 is officially supported in XI 3.0 and 3.1
    Regards,
    Stratos
