Hi All,
Could u pls help me out in the below questions...
  1 Integration methodologies of DP-SNP, DP-PPDS, DP-GATP, DP-BI and DP-ECC
2 what is role of CIF in DP?
Thanks in advance.

hi
There is no seperate integration methodologies between the apo modules, interfaces and background jobs are planying big roll to transfer master data, transaction data and planning data.
CIF is interface between ECC and APO.

  • SNP/DP/PPDS/GATP/CIF

    Hi Experts,
As i am new to APO, i would like to know what is SNP, DP, PPDS, GATP AND CIF and what is the link between all these. I worked in some concepts of PPDS and CIF. But not aware of SNP and DP. And also apart from these submoduls in APO , are there any other modules which comes under APO?

    Hi
APO Demand Planning is a set of functionalities around Demand Management, Statistical Forecasting, Promotion and Life-cycle Planning processes. It is an integral part of any organizations Sales & Operations Planning Process.
Demand Planning can primarily be divided in two areas - Data Mart and Demand Management Functionalities. The Data Mart portion of APO DP is basically the SAP BW component with all BW related transactions and objects available.
Supply Network Planning is a set of functionalities around Distribution Requirement Planning, Deployment, Demand and Supply Matching and Optimization.
Along with Demand Planning it is an integral part of any organizations Sales & Operations Planning Process.
APO Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling is a set of functionalities around Inhouse Production Planning, External Procurement Planning, Resource Scheduling and Sequence Optimization.
PPDS is primarily divided in two areas - Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling. This component has the highest amount of integration between APO and the OLTP (R/3 or ERP) system for real-time transaction data transfer back and forth.
CIF is the standard interface between ERP (R/3 or ECC) and APO used to transfer master and transaction data. While Master Data transfer is unidirectional, transaction data is bi-directional.
Global Available-to-Promise is a set of functions around Order Promising and Fulfillment checking across the whole supply chain. Some of the important functions are Rules-based Availability Check, Product and Location Substitution and Capable-to-Promise. Capable-to-Promise function is where production orders get created in the event of shortage during a Sales Order ATP check.
Multi-level ATP is an advanced method of ATP Check for confirming customer request or Sales Order by checking for on-time component availability.
Product Allocation check is possible in APO using Demand Planning functionality to ease the management of Allocation Quantity.
Plsese find below the link with more information
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SCM/AdvancedPlanningOptimization
Please let us know if it helps you.

  • SNP to PPDS conversion log not displaying all errors

    Hi Experts,
We use a batch job to convert SNP orders to PPDS order.
Post successful job completion, we checked in receipts view (/sapapo/rrp4) and found that there were some SNP orders still lying within PPDS horizon (these orders were not converted to PPDS orders)
But these erroneous orders were not displayed in  logs (/sapapo/rrplog1).
Is there any configuration/setting that is restricting the display of these orders ?
    Thanks
    Shweta

    Hi,
The issue is with regards to unconverted orders not being displayed in the logs.

  • APO SNP optimzer & PPDS optimizer

    Dear Experts,
When i am doing my capacity leving using optimzer method in SNP
system propose optmizer server is not installed in SNP
its seems no optimzer server for SNP and PPDS was not installed , i try to run test connection to optimzer server
    it fails
Just wonder as functional consultant what need to tell to the basis team
can any one guide me on this technical stuff
    Thanks & Regards
    Raj

    Hi Raj Kumar,
    1) Once you show them the error, they fully understand
what is the action to be done for that error
    2) You can also tell them to check the RFC connections
    3) Tell them to check the Optimiser installation is proper or not like
    4) Ask them to use transactions /sapapo/opt12, opt03 if required
    This will suffice.

  • SNP to PPDS order conversion

    Hi,
I am trying to do small testing over PP run in SAP APO.
I have created everything manually in SAP APO(Product, location,No source of supply at Plant)
When running SNP at plant getting planned order without source of supply. Now i am trying to convert the same order into PPDS order using program(indicator is set).
    Getting the below error:
"In-house production 188401198 is not valid for the conversion"
Any suggestion if this conversion is posible?
    Thanks,
    Krishna

    Hi Krishna,
Yes you can create the order without source of supply by doing setting in Model/Planning Version Management  /SAPAPO/MVM but you cant use that for conversion.
Go to SPRO---Supply Chain Planning----Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS)---Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS) here you will get the Heuristic Conversion SNP->PP/DS in that it is define Use SNP source of supply.

  • Integration - Methodology

    Hi Experts,
Need inputs for one appoach :-
There is a client, they have purchased PI with one license . And not using presently.
There are 2-3 non SAP systems which are need to integrate with SAP.
Some of non SAP person giving solution to client that provide XML or .csv files at shared location where SAP ABAP program read it.
IS it Correct Methodology to do the Integration with third party systems.
    Kindly suggest .
    Thanks...

    Hi Anshul,
PI comes with a few very nice communication layers.
From my personal experience I would try and stay away from files because they can be changed manually before sending.
    Please see the scenario's below.
    Webservice - IDoc
    Webservice - Proxy
And then you also get JDBC and also JMS which you can use if they have the tech.
If you really do need to go with Files - Then make use of the SAP Standard SFTP adapter that can be installed by the basis team.
The SFTP adapter just makes it a little bit more secure.
    Good Luck,

  • Integrating a PHP Web App with an Existing Azure Mobile Services and Mobile App

I've got an existing mobile app that is integrated with Azure's mobile services. The mobile services are currently connected to Azure Active Directory with MFA enabled. I'd like to build a separate PHP-based web application (Azure VM) that uses this existing
    mobile service and authentication.
I reviewed the Azure PHP SDK, but didn't see any tie-ins to the Mobile Service. Additionally, Azure has some great tutorials, but for mobile services they all seem to focus on iOS, Android, and Windows phone. Any insight into how to tie a PHP-app into this
    backend would be much appreciated!

Although there isn't any client library for PHP, you can still access Mobile Service using the
    Azure Mobile Service REST API.

  • On all my other apple devices my Icloud works. I have tride the hard reset idea, i have tried to delete my i clod account on he iphone, but nothing works. Why is the not an integrated process apple? How do i change my apple id and password to my new

Why is the update on Icloud setting not an integrated process Apple desingners! On my apple iphone 5, after new ipdate. My icloud on my iphone askes to back up. It still have my old id an password and I cant change it anywhere. I dont have that email account for a year now , and dont have the password of it. All my other devices shows my new apple Id and password. I cant change it at mannege my apple Id because it is the new one. Itune use the new one, but no, not my iphone. So, what do I do now?

You have to do the following to get your new Apple/iCloud ID signed onto your device:
    1.     Go to Manage your Apple ID and change your Apple ID back to the old email address (do not verify it - this is temporary):
    Apple - My Apple ID
    2.     Go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and Delete the iCloud account. Use your current Apple ID password when asked. Follow the prompts to delete the account
    3.     Go back into Manage your Apple ID and change your Apple ID back to your new email address (you may need to verify it again)
    4.     Go back to Settings>iCloud and sign onto iCloud with your new Apple ID. Turn on the options you want sync'd with iCloud, give it a little time to push the info down to your device.

  • SSRS Sharepoint Integrated Mode logs - Cannot find site lookup info for request Uri AND [Forced due to logging gap]

    Hi,
Our reports run very slow in SharePoint Integrated mode. I look at the logs and I see that for one report request there are bunch of "Forced due to logging gap" rows. Is it some kind of a configuration issue or is it working as it should. Below
is the full log for one report request. I have no admin experience at all and I am confused what each one in the logs mean. I have made some of them in bold font as I suspect it is some kind of configuration issue there. Could you please help understanding
    those logs?

    Thank you.

That is likely the case as native mode is quicker than SharePoint-integrated.
A couple of things to check, and perhaps change if you can:
    1) Make sure the latest SSRS ReportViewer is deployed to the SharePoint WFEs. This does not have to match your SSRS deployment version. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg492257.aspx
    for the compatibility table.
    2) If possible, move SSRS to the same SharePoint servers that end users interact with (e.g. the "WFEs").
    3) Make sure the underlying server hosting SharePoint has C-States disabled (these are Intel C-States, e.g. C1, C2, C3... aka processor sleep states). If the server has any sort of power regulation, make sure it is at maximum performance (rather than some
    form of power saving).
    4) Make sure the underlying Windows OS has it's Power Management set to Maximum, rather than any sort of power savings.
You can review the execution logs in the Reporting Services database. Take a look at the ExecutionLog3 view. Compare the TimeProcessing (time it takes to process the report) and TimeRendering (time it takes for the processed report to render to the end user).

  • SNP Optimizer Read Error Error id : 600 and Error id : 812

    Hi All,
I am rebuilding my SNP in a new SCM environment.  I have transfered my PDS's and WorkCenters/Capacity via the CIF.  These appear fine when I display and have performed the LC Check for the resouces using the TOOLS at  /n/sapapo/res01 tcode but all appeared green.  I am using standard Hierachies and think they are fine and assigned to the Planning area correctly.
When I press the "oprimizer" ...It runns until it gets to the "Loading Planning Data" then it fails with a "Error when Reading Planning Data" and "Optimizer: an internal error occured".  This error occurs very quick once it starts this process and complexity does not seem to matter.
When lookinjg at the Trace File of the log I see the below activity that seems to be the cause but I do not know what the errors mean or where to reference them? Has anyone else encountered this previousluy or know where can investigate this further.  Any help or directions on Error id : 600 and Error id : 812 would be great!
Thanks in advance for all your assistance in this!

    Thanks for the reply...
I was able to manually enter and save an SNP planned order via the planning book.
I have failures where my Input material is UOM=TON and Output is UOM=TON and also where input is UOM=TON and output is UOM=KG. I am able to switch between these UOM's in the planning book and product view.
    When I have DEBUG2 on via OPT10 I see:

  • Error- PPDS Planning board -Heuristic 'Adjust and Reschedule Block Limits'

    Hi,
I have created a sales order in ERP and overload (within tolerance) a block of a block planning enbaled resource in APO. The block is overloaded.
Then I've run the "Heuristic 'Adjust and Reschedule Block Limits'" under Functions-->Heuristics.
Now i expect that the overload disappears. But I get the message "Heuristic 'Adjust and Reschedule Block Limits' - Executed without result".
Could you please suggest why the Heuristics is not working? Has any setting been missed or set wrongly?
    Regards,
    Ashok

    Hi Ashok,
    Please use the following pathway.
    1) Transaction code spro
    2) Click on "SAP Reference IMG"
    3) Menupath:- SAP SCM Implementation guide > Advance planning and optimization >
Supply chain planning > PP/DS > Heuristics > Maintain heuristics > maintain the heuristics SAP_CDPBP_02.  This includes the scheduling horizon and other parameters.
    Please confirm

  • SAP BODS and SAP ECC integration for Sales data

    Hi  Folks,
I have a requirement to load sales data from BODS into SAP ECC. Could you please suggest me a best approach for this?
I really appreciate your prompt response.
    Thanks,
    Daniel.

    Hi Daniel
What sales data you want to migrate?. Like
    1) Customer master
    2) Pricing Condition
    3) Sales Order
    4) Customer Sales Area
    5) Scheduling Agreement
    6) Schedule Lines
    7) Customer Material Info Records
What you want to migrate. Evyerything is possible only by IDOC's if the volume of data is less( < 100000). If its more they the best option is only by BAPI method.
please provide the exact requirement then we can through some light on it.

  • CA Autosys Setup for SAP ECC 6.0

    Hi all,
Apparently, we are upgrading our SAP version to SAP ECC 6.0, where we will need to establish a connection between Unix system and SAP application system (ECC 6.0).
In order to bridge between Unix and SAP ECC 6.0, we have installed CA Autosys adapter for SAP (Unix version) in the Unix server, as of job schedular purpose. Meanwhile, the following are the softwares that we are using to test the connection as well:
    a) SSH Tectia Client
    b) Reflection X version 14.0 + Service Pack 6 (Evaluation version)
We have installed both three apps (Autosys, SSH Tectia Client, and Reflection X), however, we experienced the following difficulties when test the Autosys and SAP ECC6 integration:
    i) performance issue when we establish a connection between Unix and SAP ECC 6.0 (do we need to re-config in SAP system? if yes, pls can you guide me where I can tune the system?).
ii) Error message when running command 'sapjob':
       $ sapjob
%CASAP_E_998 Required SAP shared library <librfccm> not found in library path.
ld.so.1: sapjob: fatal: relocation error: file /opt/CA/CAlib/libpig.so: symbol caenf_cmd: referenced symbol not found
       Killed
Do you guys have any suggestion on what is happening on the above?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Patrick

    > Can the systems resolve their names back and forward?
    >
    > Please can you show me how I can perform this, in order to resolve their names back and forward? Is there any possible rootcause on performance issue?
This depends on the setup of the system. Both systems must be able to find their names by executing
    nslookup <ip-addresse>
    or
    host <ip-addresse>
If that is not the case, the connection initialization will wait until the DNS is timing out.

    Ok!
