I required one more help about integrating the calender functionality in the costume form of r12 Oracle Apps.
Can Any body just give me the steps for the integrating the calender functionality. in R12 Oracle apps form.
I have done the steps as like the 11i but its not working. Its urgent and I hv very less time to buid this form.

Using JavaBean in custom form for Oracle Apps

i had build a custom form contains JavaBean that enable user to open file dailog . i had built the java class and test it locally on another form it worked fine, but when run the form from the oracle apps nothing happens
anyone can advise,plz?

Going forward we want to use this form to send information regarding any patches needs to be applied on any of our instances.If some other user select a patch which is already installed on that instance this form will pop up a message saying it's already installed.The purpose of this form is to monitor instance refreshing details.But this is already provided by Oracle through OAM or by querying AD_BUGS table. So, you could create a custom responsibility which contains the patching part only from OAM but this still require a login to the application.
I do not think you can achieve the above (creating a custom form) without logging to the application -- You may log a SR to confirm this with Oracle support.

How to run a customized form in Oracle Apps (EBS)

Oracle Apps - 11.5.10.2 on Linux As 4.5
Oracle Database Version : 9.2.0.6.0 on HP UX Itanium 11.23
Through (EBS)Apps can i run a Cutomized Form (Developed with D2K) , just like we run a report after
defining a Concurrent Program for the same.
If yes how to i do this.

The KCUSTEST.fmb is present under au top and the .fmx is only present under kcus top.Are you able to access the form from the application if you rename the fmx file under the CUSTOM_TOP directory?
There is one more issue, for testing i had registered a form KPAYDOCKET from from Application Developer ---> Application --> Form.
I have alreday deleted the .fmb and .fmx but still not able to delete the entry from Application Developer ---> Application --> Form
When i try to delete i get the error that the object is been referenced.Make sure the form is not not referenced in (Application > Function) and (Application > Menu).

An another possibility is to do the opposite to what I just wrote. Upload the true definition to the database an compare with the one you are not sure about via SQL:
1. Backup the WFT file where the standard/seeded workflow is provided
2. Edit it and change the name of the ITEM_TYPE. For instance, change it from OEOL to OEOL_TMP (cannot exceed 8 characters)
3. Upload it to the database with WFLOAD
4. Compare the design tables for the two if them (WF_ITEM_TYPES, WF_ACTIVITIES, WF_MESSAGES, WF_PROCESS_ACTIVITIES, WF_ITEM_ATTRIBUTES, etc). If the table provides a VERSION column then the query would need to use a WHERE END_DATE is null (so that you get only the active/current version of the object). A select... MINUM select would do the job.
I would do this in test though, to avoid a mistake can cause any issues.

While accessing the custom forms in release 12i we are facing the popup error and the form is not getting opened up: "Function Not available to this responsibility. Change Responsibilities or Contact your System Administrator"...
I check the custom top path in $APPL_TOP/admin/adovars.env... its fine there..
but the $Apache_top is not there...
can u plz tell me the solution....

If ur referring to forms, u need to search in appropriate forum, as this forum is only for OAF queries, and if its realted to OAF page, check the the function of oa page is attached to the specific responsibilty .

How to Locate the Custom Form Name in Oracle Apps

Hi hussein,
We had a migration project from 11.0.3 NT to 11.5.10.2 AIX, and it include
1 form I guess. The client user is showing me the navigation tree where the customized form was located.
She opened the NT Oracle Apps 11.0.3 and it is showing the following:
Cash Management Responsibilty
+ Other
Enter Adjustment >> this is the customized form that she showed me
When the form opened, i shows a block with parent table "AP_BANK_ACCOUNTS_ALL" and a child table
"CEC_ADJUSTMENT_RECON".
My question is, based on the navigation, how do I know which is the location of the forms.fmx? of what
module was it registered to?

I tried to navigate to the custom form and open it, then click "Help --> About"
from the menu bar, but it does not show you the form name and the forms executable location path,
(not like the standard forms of oracle where it shows the form name),
the "help" being shown is the help of the runtime form in a normal default oracle form window.
so I assumed that the custom form has been registered but not following the standard procedure.

Problem in integration of custom Forms with Oracle POS 13.2

Hi All,
I am working on POS 13.2 and it is currently configured with Ingenico signature capture device i6580. This device supports 5 services Pinpad service, signature capture service, line display service, msr service and FORMService.
Form service is used to display all the custom forms (welcome form, thank you form etc) on the device. The same formservice is not supported by the device isc250 which need to be integrated.
Could you please help me how can i display welcome or thankyou form on the device?

unfortunately you can't call into a running Forms application. This will be addressed in a future release of Forms (don't ask me for the version of it because calling into Forms with JavaScript requires us to handle asynchronous events first). For now all you can do is to write an separate Applet that creates s ocket connection to a Java Bean running in Forms on teh Web. This is a bit of a hack and may have a security impact. I am forwarding this thread to some of my collegues who knows this better than I do.

Enabling eRecord for standard WIPMOVE in the custom form using wip interfac

Hi,
Anyone know how to trigger the eRecord for the standard WIPMOVE transaction in the custom form using WIP Interface (wip_move_txn_interface & wip_movproc_pub.processinterface).
I have done all the necessary setting and eRecords is getting generated in the standard out of box form. But when i call the same WIPMOVE transaction through a custom form using WIP Interface it is not generating eRecord.
As suggested by cookbook I tried EDR_ERES_EVENT_PUB.RAISE_ERES_EVENT, ERES.PERFORM_TRANSACTION, nothing is working out.
Any suggestion ?

Registering Forms in Oracle Apps 11i

This is the docs for registering an Oracle Form in Oracle Apps 11i.
To Register a custom form in Oracle Applications, take the following steps.
(As practice, copy the form FNDRSRUN.fmx under the $FND_TOP/forms to a file
called RUNRPT.fmx. The form RUNRPT.fmx will now be used in the following steps.)
1.Log into the Applications Developer responsibility
2.Navigate to Application > Form
3.Enter the form name under the "Form" column
     RUNRPT
4.Enter the Application under the "Application" column using the list of value
button, or the "List of Values" function under the "Edit" menu option.
     Application Object Library
5.Enter a name for the form under the "User Form Name" column
     My Report Run Form
6.Enter a description for the form under the "Description" column
     Custom Report Run Form
7.Save

For report we are attaching concurrent program to responsibility but here form function must be attached to Menu.
My question is, how do I know if a form has a function that needs to be registered?

Need open REPORT from FORM in Oracle Apps with Parameters

Hello All,
I have a custom Form, which is running fine in stand alone by invoking the report from it.
There is a code in behind the button which triggers to open the report having parameters.
Here we used RUN_PRODUCT function to invoke the form.
Now when i register this same form in Oracle Apps environment, we are able to see the form,but when clicked to button, its erroring at RUN_PRODUCT
Please let me know the workaround on this.

I tried message('HELLO'); this works in oracle forms but in oracle apps its different and i searched so for and used like this
fnd_message.set_name( 'FND', 'FND_GENERIC_MESSAGE' ) ; but it doesnt works

Requirement to enable auditing on every form in Oracle apps 11i,Dynamically

Hello All,
I have following requirement Oracle apps 11i forms6i:
Client want to audit the changes in data which user does on the oracle form and save old values and new values in DB table.
Currently they do have this system working but, only for some forms.
Now they want generic. Means, user will navigate to any form in Oracle apps. there he will get Menu option in menu "Enable this form for auditing". After pressing this menu option, another form will come where he will be able to see all fields on the form with check box in front of each field.
Here user will select those fields which he want to enable for auditing.
Thereafter all changes which user do on the form, those old and new values will get store in one custom table.
Since information about fields is not stored in database, how can I make it generic. So that user will navigate to any form in oracle apps and will be able to enable it for auditing?
can we do this by using any interface with Java with oracle form?

This is the General Forms discussion forum. Please post your question in the [EBS General Discussion|http://forums.oracle.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=475] forum. Having worked with EBS several years ago, I confident that Oracle already has an Auditing feature built into their system, I just don't recall how it is implemented or if it would work for your situation where the customer wants to turn it on and off on the fly. To be honest, I'm not sure it is a good design to allow the user to enable/disable auditing as this just seems to violate the "Auditing Paradigm." In any case, someone in the EBS Forum would be better able to answer your question.
