Integration of Image prompt

Hi all,
I am trying to create and image prompt. I want to disaplay a world map and when ever i click on any country it should show me the amount sold for that country in a particaluar year. I am trying to use the image of world map present in Map folder. but is throwing an error. Can anyone tell me how to integrate it. It will be great help for me.

I have downloaded an image of worldmap but my problem is how to set the coordinates for the different country or region.
Is there any way around for setting those.

Hi,
Placing the image file in /l_en folder dint work for me too however you can place them inside the following paths and restart the services,
1)
\MW_HOME\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain\servers\AdminServer\tmp\_WL_user\analytics_11.1.1\silp1v\war\res\s_blafp\images
2)
\MW_HOME\Oracle_BI1\bifoundation\web\app\res\s_blafp\images
You can then call your file with the url, http://hostname:port/analytics/res/imagefile.jpg
Its worked for me, let me know in case of any issues.

Image Prompts in OBIEE 11.1.1.5

I am able to display an image as a logo on an analysis using the fmap notation... say fmap:Images/myimage.jpg.
However, I am unable to use the image in an Image Prompt using either the fmap notation or explicit URL.
I have uploaded the image to 2 locations:
/bifoundation/web/app/res/s_blafp/images/myimage.jpg
/user_projects/domains/bifoundation_domain/servers/bi_server1/tmp/_WL_user/analytics_11.1.1/7dezjl/war/res/s_blafp/images/myimages.jpg
I have restarted the services.
I've tried various URLs but cannot display the image in the prompt.
Any ideas?

HTML email - download image prompt

Greetings,
Do you know how to code an html file so that
when you send it in the body of an email,
the user has to click on a missing image in order to
get the real image to download and replace it.
I imagine that it is related to the NOSEND feature,
but when I used NOSEND=1, the page sent completely intact
rather than all except for the images.

That's actually how my test worked. I think it works well,
but my boss wants the email to look half disabled I guess.
An email that he received was an html email, but the images
didn't port with the email, so the place that should have an

has a 'system-like' prompt over the image area that basically

Netinstall Image prompt for computer name

I am wondering how when I am imaging through Netinstall that I can have the image utility prompt for a computer name at image time. Basically I would like to use System Image Utility --> Add a "System Configuration Step" --> prefill the info to join AD but have the person doing the imaging get prompted for the name at image time. How can I achieve this?

Bump would like to know if anyone else has looked for this functionality.

Update KB3036493 with multiple reboots cannot be integrated in Image

Hello together,
i ran into the well known problem with the Multiple Reboot updates described
here. I tried to include the Update KB3036493 into the Image with "Schedule Updates" but i cant find it in the List. I choosed the dropdown "ALL" and saw the Update, but just the 32Bit Version of that?!
So i decided to download the Update from the Catalog and install it via DISM.
Dism said the process was successful and i unmount it with /commit. After that the install.wim was about 15MB greater than without this Update.
So far so good i rerun the Installation, but the Update was still not included - what i am doing wrong? Does somebody else have the same Problems - or a solution for that?
When does MS fix that - it is a pain since many years now - the KB Article has Revision Version 15!

All updates that are injected via dism.exe should show up as "install pending" if I am not mistaken. They will be "installed" when Windows setup runs.

In our case the update is shown as injected but it´s not installed after OS-Deployment.
@Michael: Please reply if turning off your Virus Scan helped you.
I excluded the Paths for WAIK:
%StagingDrive%\ConfigMgr_OfflineImageServicing\
%Windir%\Temp\BootImages
I already exluded them when i installed the Server about 2 Years ago.

Mdt integration boot image and SCCM boot image

I created a MDT task sequence in SCCM and went through all the steps for setting up the toolkit and settings and boot image. After all that, I distributed everything to my DP. When i try to boot to pxe and run that new MDT task sequence it finds the pxe
server, but just sits at "Contacting server" for some time until it times out. If I select the SCCM boot image in the task sequence properties then it works. the one created when i create the task sequence doesn't.
Any Idea?

Sounds like you didn't enable the boot image for PXE. This is a checkbox at the bottom of the Data Source page in the properties of the boot image.
Have you reviewed smspxe.log?

Weird image prompting USB iTunes connect in order to start AppleTV

When I turn on both AppleTV and my television, I am seeing an image of the AppleTV that needs to connect to my iTunes via a USB cable. I've never seen this before and I cannot start my AppleTV because of it. Confused..

AppleTV has an issue - possibly cause by a bad software update (automatic updates can happen).

Is it possible to have image as dashboard prompt

Hello,
our customer wants to have an image in dashboard which would act as prompt, passing chosen values (the image regions where user cliks) to another requests in that dasbhoard page.
I know it is possible to create image prompt for single answers report, but the wish is that image should be visible all the time in dashboard (so that user can choose different value just by clicking on it). Answers image prompt is visible only until user chooses the value, after that image is not shown anymore.
I would really appreciate help in either of following questions:
(1) How to keep Answers image prompt visible after user chooses the value?
(2) How to put an image in dashboard that would pass presentation variable values to reports? I think this could be possible by html but have no idea how...

Making Image Backups of Windows 8.1

I want to periodically make image backups of the boot drive for a Windows 8.1 system using a third party imaging tool. I found out the hard way already that you need to make a copy of the entire drive, not individual partitions. Does
the System Reserved partition get updated potentially any time you run Windows Update? What I am wondering is if I can make a copy of the disk - which is two partitions the System Reserved and the actual Windows partition - to a backup drive,
and then later add to the end of the backup drive two more copies of the Windows partition without making additional copies of System Reserved. Will that work, or do System Reserved and Windows partitions always need to be backed up together?

My suggestion:
Ditch the 3rd party tool and make regular Volume Shadow Copy Services-integrated System Image backups using a scheduled wbadmin command. I do this and I know it works. At the moment I have 54 system images available for restoral on my external
MyBook USB drive.

Using still images with Final Cut (and the apple suite in general)

I have had a re-occuring and long term problem that has caused me many lost hours of head scratching and work arounds, and as of yet I have not been able to come up with a good solution.
Its to do with integrating still images with the Final Cut suite.
If I receive a high quality image from a client to use in their video and I then try importing it into Final Cut and animating it, it always ends up looking like a pile of ahem. Often I will get "swimming" lines appear across fine detail on the image, and parts of it will flicker as it moves across the screen. For instance, if I have a picture of some blinds or other fine detail (especially horizontal and vertical lines), when I add a grow and throw movement to it the detail will become very noisy - buzzing and flickering like mad.
I have found I can counter this by resizing the image in photoshop to a resolution closer to SD video (700w or 500h) - but I always end up losing detail, and the flickering and noise is only reduced, not eliminated. Other things that have helped are blur effects applied at a very low level, like 0.5 blur, so its not noticeable visually, but Final Cut seems to treat it differently and quieten the noise and flicker down.
However, all of these workarounds are ultimately still giving a reduced quality product.
Also, this problem is not necessarily constrained to Final Cut, I am currently fighting DVD Studio Pro because it is murdering the text quality in a stills slideshow I am creating - and in this situation there is no animation being applied. No matter what file type (psd, jpeg, tiff, png...) or size I output the text and images from Photoshop in, the moment DVD studio pro gets hold of it, it turns to cripe.
For a while I was putting it down to the fact that I usually edit in SD (PAL) formats, and there just wasn't the resolution available to reproduce fine detail. However, I do often see other people achieving pin-sharp fine detail on still images and text in SD formats (the Apple templates are a good example)
So, my question to you, oh great and high boffins, if you are dealing with still images and text, how do you do it? How do you work around any noise problems you have, and how do you produce those pin-sharp images (both moving and still) I see in other professional productions?

still images with too high a resolution will always cause problems. this is due to the detail of the image being finer than the scanline of the tv can display ... obviously this will caise the image to flicker as these details alternately appear and disappear as and when the scanline can display them. as you have discovered, the answer is to apply a very small blur, the effect being that the detail is spread by the blur such that the scanline can dislay it correctly.
text issues are often rooted in the same problem ... unless the text is placed very carefully (whole even number on the y axis) then the quality may be impaired due to the resulting interlacing/scanline issues

BI Publisher report - Dashboard Integration Issue

I have a problem when trying to display a Publisher Report at Analytics Dashboard.
I'm working in OBIEE 11g. I like integrate the BI publisher to show the result set on Analysis (Answers), so, I used presentation variables to send the dashboard prompts values.
The problem is that sometimes, when I select a value in the prompt, display "loading" process, but never displayed the data. (I noticed that the browser above shows an error related to a javascript - something like Expected ')' URI: <server>/xmlpserver/js/xdo_viewer_dreamscape)

Dag,
I would first ensure that you can pass the parameters correctly without using a presentation variable. Just make sure it works with the basics.
Also ensure that you are integrating the parameter passing correctly. Follow this guide to ensure your passing of parameters is taking place correctly,

Save Image instead of opening link

I have created email signature with several links from images used in signature. It works well on all PCs, iPad and works on iPhone if I will use attachments in email. But if it is simple email with this signature than on iPhone clicking on image results in Save Image prompt instead of opening link. The temporary solution I am using is to use dummy attachment. Can I have it working without attachment ?

Hi ,
It looks like your report column is set to display as Text. Go to "Home>Application Builder>Application #>Page #>Interactive Report Attributes" and change it to Standard report Column and you should be all set.
