Integration of Machine in SAP

We are implementing a beverage industry solution in our company.
We have a fully automated production lines/plants. And we wand to bring the production data from the machines into SAP (Production Planning Module).
We have HMI (Human Machine Interface) through which we control the machines.
We are looking into creating some interface through ABAP. We want to pick the data from PLCs (Manufacture's Siemens).
Can someone advise if this could be done through ABAP, if yes how to do it.

Upload and save an Excel file from a local machine to SAP

I am looking for a transaction which allows me to upload an Excel file from a local machine to SAP and save this file (the users should be able to edit the file in SAP afterwards).
Then I would like to open and read the data from the file with the help of a function module which works as a background job.
Unfortunately, I cannot use the application server because our users do not have the authorization to save files on it. Besides, the application server is not able to process Excel files.

You can do this using OLE technology. Bu you will have performance issues.
Can you check the below demo programs? It has similar functionality. I am able to create excel sheet from sap and also able to save the data in the sap.

Whenever inspection lot is created, the inspection lot data should go to the receiver that is sapphire through XI. This User exit is tested to see whether IDOC Function module is populated or not and to check whether Idoc is populated.
In this scenario,we r using File to IDOC
for this scenario we are writting a integration teat cases.

Integrating new acquistion into SAP

Hi,
We've recently acquired a new company and it needs to be integrated into our current SAP system.
From a business perspective I believe there are 3 possibilities:
1. Use a separate SAP company code
2. Same company code but use profit centres
3. Same company code but use sales orgs and purchasing orgs
From an implementation viewpoint, is there any information regarding the pros/cons of each?

Hi,
I have done a few projects like this in Germany. The right migration strategy depends from the personal resources and appropriate tools, which are available. No project is like the another.
If you start your migration experiences you will use standard tools like LSMW (Legacy System Workbench for HR Master Data) and self written ABAP's (migration of payroll results).
Often it seems better to realize the business logic (only) at SAP. Don't do it too much on both sides.

Hi,
We are using MI 7.10, NW client 7.1SP10, MaxDB 7.7.07 Build 30, Mobile Client 7.10 SP10 Patch 08, JRE Java 1.6u24, MI 7.10, Windows Vista, Service pack 2.
Turned UAC off from control panel and registry, ran as Administrator, installed mobile client and MaxDB with a fresh OS, got below error, when uninstalling MaxDB, it couldn't uninstall, complaining "No Installed MaxDB components found", can't delete this registry. I've googled this for while, but couldn't find any solution, can anyone here please help?!

Thank you Srikishan, I reviewed the link you provided, it solves uninstall and re-install problem for one laptop, however, we have many laptops, can't do manual registry clean up for all of them. The installation was done by mobile client silent script, needs to be successful the very first time.
This error only happens with the very 1st installation, means fresh OS that never had any SAP, I am wondering what is the installation program trying to change in the registry, does it have to go that deep into registry? and what other components are affected by the error "Can't open registry key "HKEY_LOCAL-MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAP\SAP DBTECH"?
From the log, the command ran before the error was "CALL: SDBINST -b -t sapmc -f C:\Program Files\SAP Netweaver Mobile Client\MaxDB Files\sdb_MIDB_sample.cfg", is it a sample program and do we need it? is this caused the error?
for remaining errors(many of them), there is one very odd
"SYS: "c:\sdb\programs\runtime\7300\bin\irconf.exe" -i -p "c:\sdb\programs\runtime\7300": Error : Cannot find any installed version of CPC Driver.."
What caused it?

Integrating Right Fax with SAP

Basis Gurus,
Can some one guide me integrating "Right Fax" with "SAP".
We are on R/3 4.7 - 640/Unix
source documentation what exactly I need to do at SAP end and wat I need to do on Right Fax server. Is a connector require for this, I gone through some documentation which speaks at high level but not the source.
It would be greate if you can shoot me with a document which contains step by step process of integration.

XYZ Service Calls

1. All the completed calls in XYZ Service has to go in SAP automatically for validation process.
2. All call details (parameters) has to come in sap from XYZ Service to SAP like..

3. All the AMC generated in XYZ Service should replicate to SAP, with all the customers, AMC and product details.

    --> Part & Qty. : Same part should not have been consumed in last 30 days in same unit.

8. Prepare quality report for all the calls in SAP.
9. Consumption report has generate for each call wise.
10. Call wisw defective settlement( replenishment) in SAP and generate automatic loan settlement.
11. Franchisee bill claim to SAP.
12. ASC can change the disapproved calls and reprocess it again.
As for my understanding and discussions from the above requiremet,
Customer/franchisee/client....enters the request/data through the Web Application .
process from CRM and then to SAP ECC 6.0. after all the process complete details to be shown on Web Applications.
So here where exactly supposed ti implemet the XI system and little bit of confuse how and where to start from.
Please guide me to start the above mentioned and give me a break to learn and do lot of things in XI/PI.

However, as for my understanding...as the client using a legacy system for getting the information.
also The data is given on Web Application ( say via portal) and the data verified from CRM system and then processed via SAP ECC 6.0 giving the required information on the Wb Application to the client (Portal)
That means needto implement XI integration to show the complete required information on the web application.
Only this is I am not knowing how to frame this complete design and where and how exactly to stat.
Please correct me if I am wrong and if possible with the same relavent information.

In my project has using Ariba TIBCO and SAP Adapter as the integration tool that connect to SAP R/3 4.7 Non-Unicode system (using MDM for Thai language).
I found that when I pull data from SAP through Ariba TIBCO and SAP Adater, the Thai character showed as unreadable character like a garbage character.

How do I configure that If I Disconnect the Device in ISU, a service call is generated in ISU which will flow from ECC -> PI Server -> MDUS and how do we test it?
How do I check if the call has reached PI Server? I mean there must be some logging like ABC Application requested for XYZ Service.
Your help is much appreciated. It is much like connecting the pieces yet unknown to me. Feel free to share if there is any guide or handbook available for a sample AMI Integration Scenario.

Firstly download the Enterprise Services for SAP PI from the service market place, released for the Ehp eg Ehp6 of your back end ISU system.
go to the below link

Download all the (ES)content related to utilities XI CONTENT-IS-UT and load this in your PI system. Once you have these ESR in PI, you will be able to connect your SAP ISU system with the help of a proxy.

Help required regarding Integrating Conversion Agent with SAP-XI

I want to run a simple File to File scenario which involves integrating conversion
agent. I gone through a webblog:Integrate SAP Conversion Agent by Itemfield with SAP XI
I deployed the module and I configured the channel in the same way what was specified in the webblog.
But when I run my scenario I found CM_TRANSFORMATION_ERROR as the error in communication channel monitoring.
Can u please provide me the solution for correcting the above error, this would be a great help for me..

Can't open Integration Builder Repository in SAP XI 7.0 after CodeMigration

We had Communication Channel code change , for which the cache in the adapter engine was failed up update automatically. I rebounced the Web AS SAP Server ( Java stack only) and after than point I cannot launch Integration Builder Tool( Repository) in SAP XI 7.0.All other message are processing fine.Only we cannot open the Integration Buildter tool using URL
