Can you pl elaborate on why you need 3rd party fax ? Can you not use XML Publisher ? See Chapter 7 of the XML Publisher Admin Guide http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B40089_10/current/acrobat/120xdoig.pdf

I am using Oracle Apps R12.1.3 and alsoo we have Microsoft Activity Directory.
we need to integrate both so that any employee cretaed in Oracle Apps HRMS will be replicated in Microsoft Directory.
Please let us know the oracle 10g and 11g products we have to use to achieve this.
Please let us know both 10g and 11g products and is 10g products covered in Oracle support?

How to install the Oracle Apps R12 with an existing OAS 10g

Hi All,
I am planning to install the Oracle Apps R12 and I already downloaded the media-pack from edelivery.oracle.com.
But I am not sure how to do it because I have tree-tier architecteur at home :
One computer with LINUX OS (OEL 5.5) which hold the Oracle Database 11gR2 -- Database tier
One computer with LINUX OS (OEL 5.5) which hold the Oracle Application Server 10g ver 10.2.0 (infra and middle) -- Midel-tier
One computer with XP OS -- Client tier
Could any one explain me how to install it?

Scan IP confusion while implementing ORACLE apps R12 with 11gR2

Hi All,
We are planning to implement a R12 apps with 11.2.0.3.
As i know that when we install oracle 11gR2.scan listener and scan vip got created in GRID_HOME. The scan listener comes with default port.
As R12 by default comes with 11.1.0.7. As per oracle note ID-823587.1
We need to follow the below steps.
srvctl add listener -l listener_ebs -o <11gR2 ORACLE_HOME> -p <EBS Database port>
srvctl setenv listener -l listener_ebs -T TNS_ADMIN= $TNS_ADMIN
srvctl add scan_listener -l listener_scan -p 1521
My question is Do i need to configure TNSNAMES.ora? Entry of tnsnames.ora contains scan-vip or virtual vip.
What should be tha value of remote listener and local listener.

I am integrating Oracle Apps R12 with the third party Label Printing Software(Bartender).
For generating the Label, I have to create the XML file in Oracle Apps and with the help of Oracle WMS i have to transfer the XML file to the TCP/IP Port.
Third Party Label Printing Software will pick the file from the TCP/IP Port.
I am not able to find the way to send the XML file generated by the concurrent program to the TCP/IP Port using Oracle WMS.

Hi,
I assume, i have already setup profile 'WMS: Label Print Mode' to Synchronous - TCP/IP.
Basically, you dont have to create any concurrent program for XML creation, Oracle will do it for you 'out of box'.
Also set 'WMS: Synchronous TCP/IP label request delay' to 100, this is a required step, though none of the documentation talks about it.
if you think that all the requests are not handled correctly, then you will need to increase this delay further.
Lastly, verify that the printer is setup correctly in Oracle (Place where you specify IP Address and port)

Integration of Apex with Oracle Apps R12

How can I integrate Oracle Apex with Oracle Applications R12? The requirement is like by clicking a menu the user will see an apex report without giving again the user name and password. By simple menu attachment it's asking for apex login credentials. But I want it will redirect to the apex page without asking for user name and password.
Anyone please tell the step by step procedure of how to integrate apex with oracle apps R12.

Appreciate if someone can share document, steps to integrate AutoVue with Oracle Apps r12.
We need to integrate AutoVue Version 20.2.2 with eAM and BOM modules of Oracle Apps R12 so that the engineering drawings data may be imported from AutoVue to these modules and vice-versa.

How to invoke third party webservices in oracle apps R12 when wsdl is provided and no SOA server exists

Hello Everyone,
I am working on Oracle apps R12 and we don't have any SOA server setup. I got a requirement to invoke a third party webservice and send some of the data from oracle apps database to the third party and they provided the wsdl file to invoke their webservice. How can I achieve this? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ravi,
I believe you need to have SOA configured with EBS to run those webservices.
Please log a SR to confirm the same with Oracle support.

From this i understand in future if oracle release any patchset on the base release 11.2.0.1, then by default its certified. Correct

Problem with initializing VO in Jdev10g, Oracle apps R12

Hi All,
I want to initialize one VO and create row in that. I am working on Oracle apps R12 and using Jdev10g version. I have done this before in Jdev 9i in 11i.
But not sure why it is not working in 10g Jdev.
I am using following code
public void initializeVO()
OAViewObject vo = getInterfaceName1();
Row row ;
vo.setMaxFetchSize(0);
row = vo.createRow();
vo.*insertRow(row);*
row.setNewRowState*(Row.STATUS_INITIALIZED);*

vo.setMaxFetchSize(0); prevents it from trying to query rows.
Try vo.executeQuery(); after vo.setMaxFetchSize(0); in this fashion:
public void initializeVO()
OAViewObject vo = getInterfaceName1();
Row row ;
vo.setMaxFetchSize(0);
vo.executeQuery();
row = vo.createRow();
vo.insertRow(row);
row.setNewRowState*(Row.STATUS_INITIALIZED);*
Also, it is a better practice to use corresponding VO row impl this way:
InterfaceNameVORowImpl row = InterfaceNameVO.createRow();

How to delete a project in Oracle apps R12

OS RHEL 5.5
Database 11.1.0.7
Applications R12
Initially I have created a project in oracle apps from wrong template and modified the template then created a project with the same modified template.
Now the wrong project needs to be deleted so how to delete the project which had been created from wrong template in oracle apps R12 and integrated project with MSP.
Both the wrong and correct projects are referring to the same template.
Please help me to delete the project as it is done in production database.
