Integration SAP iView in SharePoint 2007 IViewWebPart

Hi All
I have a problem with using SharePoint 2007 IViewWebPart. I configured trusted SAP hosts and I do not know what to write in the <SsoAuthentication Name="<MySAP>"/> element. SsoAuthentication Element specifies the SSO application to use when authenticating to the SAP Server. I tried the following: SAP, xApp, xApps and some other but it does not work. I have the following error:
"The single sign-on application associated with this IView is not found. Contact your administrator to correct this problem".

Hi Svetlana,

  • Upgrade SharePoint 2007 SSRS integrated mode to SharePoint 2013 Reporting Service (SSRS-2014)

    Hi
We are upgrading a SP-2007 site with SSRS integrated reports to SP-2013 and SSRS-2014. As there are many changes done in SP-2013, I would like to know if any of the existing SP-2007 reporting service database need to upgraded to SP-2013 or just upgrading
the SP-2007 content database to SP-2013 and creating a new Reporting Service application will be working fine?
    Thanks,
    Pat

You'll want to do a few things:
Export the encryption key from the SSRS Configuration application in SharePoint 2007.
Migrate the content database from SharePoint 2007 SP2+ to SharePoint 2010, to finally SharePoint 2013.
    Install SSRS 2012 SP1+ on SharePoint 2013.
Migrate the SSRS databases to the SharePoint 2013 SQL Server.
Create a new SSRS Service Application in SharePoint 2013 using the same named databases on the new SQL Server.
Import the encryption key to the SSRS SA.

  • SharePoint 2007 Integration

Hello all. Can any of you tell me if Novell Groupwise 7 can be integrated with SharePoint 2007? If so, do you have any related documentation. Thanks

    * SABisram,
the MS "integrator" told us Sharepoint can use GW as an SMTP server, that's pretty much all. It can also use LDAP to integrate with eDir instead of AD. As you can imagine, MS didn't put too much effort in such 3rd party integration.

  • Integrating SAP with Sharepoint 2010

    Hello All,
I need some information regarding integrating SAP R/3 with Sharepoint 2010. I am aware of BCS solutions to connect SAP BSP/WebDynpro/Portal enabled processes to Sharepoint. However, I would like to whether we can call an SAP Transaction directly from Sharepoint without developing BSP pages or WebDynpro?
Can we achieve something on Sharepoint 2010 like ITS does on SAP Portal? If yes, how to do that?
    Thanks,
    Anil

    Hi Anil,
with Duet Enterprise you can bring RFC or WebServices that are available in your backend system into SharePoint 2010. So if your transaction consits of several RFCs that are called in the background -- you can do that. Depending on the transaction you might also have to develop the value help functionalities and stuff like that.
You can checkout the videos on the [Duet Enterprise Summit|http://www.duetenterprisesummit.com] site where some customers talk about what they have developed during the ramp-up..
However, if you want to bring ITS / SharePoint Web-SAP-GUI functionality into SharePoint this will be pretty complicated...

    Holger.

  • Duplicate appSettings section using SharePoint 2007 Portal Integration Kit

We have installed the BusinessObjects XI Release 2 SharePoint 2007 Portal Integration Kit on a MOSS server and are successfully viewing reports in SharePoint.
But, when we ran the SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard, the appSettings section of the web.config with only the Business Objects settings within gets duplicated.  This causes all of the SharePoint sites which use BO to go down becauase of the duplicate appSettings section.
Have you seen this behavior and is there a newer version of the integration kit available which may repair it?
    Thanks,
    Eric

As mentioned earlier we will have a native 64bit support for SharePoint 2007 64bit, probably next year.
It would be enhanced version of SharePoint 2007 PIK with functionalities at PAR with .NET infoview.
I will like to put a disclaimer mentioning that plans are subject to change

  • Integration Option for SharePoint 2007 and Edge?

Does this support Edge 3.1?  I know that in the official documentation for the Sharepoint 2007 PIK it never said Edge was supported, but I see posts indicating people have gotten it to work with Java InfoView.
However, is Edge 3.1 supported for the larger Integration Option for SP2007?  Also, I assume it would be only for Java InfoView since Edge utilizes a WACS vs. standard .NET SDK.
    Please advise.
Edited by: Jay Riddle on Oct 6, 2009 12:14 AM

The newest release of the sharepoint kit called internally (ipoint) should work fine with java infoview. I haven't set this up my self and you may need to open an incident with support to verify if Edge supports the newest sharepoint kit.

  • Installing SharePoint 2007 Integration Kit on BO XI R2 SP5

    Hi there,
We are trying to install sharepoint 2007 integration kit but keep getting the error message:
"SP3 patch is required to install the sharepoint 2007 integration kit"
    Our setup...
SharePoint 2007 running on its own Windows 2003 server
BusinessBojects Enterprise XI Release 2 Support Pack 5 running on its own Windows 2003 server
We installed the .Net SDK and Web Componet Adapter (WCA) of BusinessBojects Enterprise XI Release 2 Support Pack 5 on our SharePoint server
Now, both versions of .Net SDK and WCA are the same on BO and SharePoint as required
However after two attempts of installing the PIK we still get the message
"SP3 patch is required to install the sharepoint 2007 integration kit"
Does anyone know what is requried here?
    Thanks,
    Bernard.

    Hi Amit,
Thanks for your response. I am not 100% sure of the answer to question 1 as we had someone external patrhing our servers and attempting to install the PIK. But I have detailed below the Crystal related products that were put onto the SharePoint server:
    1)
    Crystal Reports Server XI
Crystal Reports Server XI R2 Service Pack 2
Crystal Reports Server XI R2 Service Pack 5
Crystal Reports Server XI Release 2 .NET 2005 Server
I think he could have selected just the .NET SDK and WCA components from the main install and got to SP5 that way.
    2) The PIK I believe is to be SP2 from looking at the setup.ini file
    Msi=win32\cesp2k7.msi
ProductName=BusinessObjects XI SharePoint 2007 Portal Integration Kit
    MsiMajorVersion=2
    MsiMinorVersion=0
    MsiBuildNumber=2600

  • Will Sharepoint 2003 Integration Kit work with MOSS 2007?

I'm currently viewing Business Object reports in my Sharepoint portal using the Integration Kit for Sharepoint 2003.  However I've recently upgraded Sharepoint 2003 to MOSS 2007 and I'm wondering if the integration kit will work with the newer version of Sharepoint.

The good news is that the new PIK compatible with SharePoint 2007 has been officially released as part of BOE R2 SP3.  The bad news is that I have not figured out how to install it!  SP3 installs from downloaded files automatically and does not extract installation files for the PIK.  Previous installs of the PIK involved running the setup.exe for the PIK located in the Add-On's (or similar) folder of the BOE install files/media.  No such luck with SP3. I have an open support case on this and will hopefully have more info soon.

  • Sharepoint 2007 and BO Edge 3.0

    Hi,
is it possible to use BO Edge 3.0 and Sharepoint 2007 using the Sharepoint Portal Integration Kit 3.0?
In the Sharepoint Portal Integration Kit 3.0 Installation Guide it says we should install BO Enterprise 3.0 .net SDK. But with BO Edge 3.0 there is no .net SDK available.
Does this mean, we can't use BO Edge 3.0 and Sharepoint 2007?
    Thanks very much,

  • Sharepoint 2007 - Creating a form to capture timesheets data, but need to track updates to previously submitted data

    Hi,
We are using a basic version of Sharepoint 2007 and do not have access to InfoPath. I have created a list to allow team members to submit their weekly time on specific activities.  How do I go about tracking any changes to previously submitted data?
For instance, a team member enters 5 hours for Activity 1 and submits on April 1.  on April 10 they realize they submitted too few hours and want to go in to edit the 5 hours to 12 hours.
From a reporting perspective we already pulled a report (export to excel) and have the 5 hours listed for April 1. If the user goes in to edit their time sheet from April 1, we don't want the data to just override the 5 hours, we want some sort of flag to
show the hours went from 5 to 12 hours.  How do we do this?
As a work around, I added a question at the beginning of the survey/list asking is this a new submission or an edit. I thought if they select edit and were taken to a screen that allowed them to select the date (April 1), the activity and the new hours that
I would have all of the previous data plus these 3 columns with the additional data: "Edit", "Activity 1", "12".  Instead the original data was over written and all I show are blanks for the previous questions and the edited
    info ("Edit", "Activity 1", "12").
What suggestions do you have so that I can maintain the integrity of the original data and flag for my Project Manager which data needs to be changed in previous reports.
    Thanks in advance!
    AA

I think the best way to answer your question would be to create a simple form and try various submissions. Be aware that unless the e-mail system is controlled, e-mail submission is not recommended due to client configuration issues of e-mail. Your question sounds like online submission would already be something you are comfortable with. In that case you can submit form data in 3 different ways: HTML, FDF, or XML. It can also be submitted as a PDF by saving the form, but that does not sound like what you need and also gets into issues of whether folks are using Reader or Acrobat.
Also be careful (or try both) about using forms from within Acrobat and the forms created by the link in Acrobat to Designer. Once you go to Designer with the form you can not come back for editing in Acrobat. Normally you would create the basic form in a word processor or layout tool and then add the form fields in Acrobat (or Designer if that is preferred).
I will let others address the anonymous and yet confirmation check issue.

  • Problems opening PDFs from SharePoint 2007 with Acrobat X Pro

We are currently migrating to Windows 7 x86, Acrobat X Pro, and Office Pro Plus 2010 SP1. Our old setup is Windows XP, Acrobat 8 Pro, and Office 2007. We are using SharePoint 2007. On our older machines, we are able to open and edit PDFs without any problems. However, on our newer machines with Acrobat X, we get this error whenever we open a PDF for editing:
The document could not be opened for editing. A Windows SharePoint Services compatible application could not be found to edit the document.
All of our XP users can open and edit documents without any problems--only our newly migrated Windows 7 users are unable to edit these documents. Is there a setting that I need to adjust in Acrobat X? I don't recall seeing any Acrobat X specific options in SharePoint configuration. Thanks!
EDIT: I was able to open and edit a PDF document using the following steps:
    1. Click drop-down menu next to document and select "Check Out."
    2. In the check-out dialog box, check "Use my local drafts folder." Click OK.
    3. Back in SharePoint, click on document to open--click OK to message warning about malicious files.
    4. Edit document, then click Save button. Close Acrobat.
    5. Back in SharePoint, click drop-down menu next to document and select "Check In."
    6. Confirm the check-in.
    7. Redirected back to document library and the modified date and by fields are updated.
This seems like an awful amount of steps. Is there a way to make this function the same when a user edits a Word or Excel document?

    Added info under EDIT.

In Acrobat X, SharePoint Integration has been added which allows users to check-out/check-in the document from within Acrobat. Clicking the file from document library in Internet Explorer opens the file in Acrobat. The configuration that needs to be done on the SharePoint server is explained in the following KB article in section 11.1.

Please try these and let us know if you face any problems after this.

  • Sharepoint 2007 as content server for DMS?

    Hi,
Knowing Sharepoint 2003 is not able to act as DMS content server.
Does any know if the new Sharepoint 2007 has this function to act as DMS content server?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Ronald

    Hi Espen,
iam also coming across the same requirement where in client is already using SharePoint as a common document Managing software,
in your Case as You have solved the Problem, did you buy a new server and installed content servewr in it, and integrate it to Share Point server?
or did you use the Same existing  share point server to install content server on it,
i guess in that case there will be duplication of all the Original files,
one, the original file is Available in the Share Point server. and Secondly, the same original file is checked in into the storage catagories if the same share Point server is defined as Storage medium for SAP DMS, ie same Share Point server acting as Content or Archive server.
please help me in Understanding the things clear iam little bit confused,
Alternatively to access the Documents in the Share Point server and Store the same original File in the Content server (or it can be the same SharePoint Server acting as Content server(installing the content server CD on the Share Point server)). can we go to create 2 Datacarrier and Datacarrier types,
one to Bring the original document from the share point server to the DeskTop of the User.
second to check in the Same document through SAP transaction CV01N, here again should we define another Data Carrier and Data Carrier type, (like the share Point server or Content server used again to check in the original Through SAP DMS CV01N,
iam  confused as i have only worked on storing external files which is in the Frontend system in to an Content server only,
    Points for Sure,
    Thanks in Advance,

  • UWL iView in Sharepoint: Popup shows TLN

We are displaying the Unviversal Worklist (UWL) iView in Sharepoint. Whenever an item therein is clicked, the resulting Popup displays the DTN (Detailed Navigation) and TLN (Top-level Navigation) in the Popup and displays the content in the Content Area.
My assumption is that this is happening because the UWL item Popup window has no Navigation Context.
Does anyone have any ideas on how we can make the item Popup like it does in SAP Enterprise Portal i.e. No TLN or DTN, but just the content in the Popup window?
    Thanks.

Simon, what we found is that when we add the Dynamic Property it doesn't append the URL with a URL parameter, but just appends a value pair to the "DynamicProperty" URL parameter. So the Dynamic Property of "NavMode=3" didn't work when I tried it.
I looked at the properties of the iView and there's nothing about Popups of items displaying the TLN/DTN or not.
Again, I don't think its a matter of setting a property to toggle the Nav display. It works just fine straight out of SAP Enterprise Portal. The problem exists only when the UWL iView is housed in Sharepoint. So, again, I feel its more related to the Navigation Context being unknown, though I am open to all suggestions.
Thanks for brainstorming this with me.

  • DUET Enterprise vs BO BI Integration Option for Microsoft Sharepoint

I am struggling to find the right management overview to position DUET Enterprise vs BO BI Integration for Microsoft Sharepoint.
My high level definition of DUET Enterprise is to expose SAP Data and Processes into the Microsoft Sharepoint Environment (especially for non professional user = casual user).
Obviously these casual users need to see, to retrieve or to refresh some BW reports (knowing we are using or will use BO BI 4.0).
It seems DUET Enterprise does not support this scenario .... and we need to use another solution called : BO BI Integration Option for Sharepoint (detailed doc [here|http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir4/en/400sp2_ioms_getstarted_en.pdf]).
I am confused (I can not picture it) why we need 2 different products (medium - long term).
    Could you somebody explain :
    1. to confirm we need currently these 2 products
    2. why we will need 2 different products in the future ?
    Thanks.

    Hi Patrick,
I was also trying to find some information this topic for the last few days when I came across your thread. There has been a similar discussion earlier in [this SDN thread|Duet Enterprise vs BO Integration Option for Microsoft Sharepoint u2013 IOMS;.
After seeing the capabilities of IOMS, I can say these two products are very different. IOMS has different web parts to render BO/BW dashboards, reports ect. whereas Duet Enterprise is an integration platform for connecting various SAP systems (of type ABAP now), using which we can view/operate on any SAP object, integrate workflow and fetch SAP reports as document.
Duet Enterprise provides SSO and role based access to SAP data which seems to be missing in IOMS.
At this point it seems both these products have different capabilities with similarities in report publishing (Duet Enterprise can only publish reports from BI and other ABAP based system directly to SharePoint document library; not sure what IOMS does in this area).
I guess at this point if your requiremtn is to only provide a SharePoint based frontend to Bo/BI IOMS has to be used, however if you need to build applications with SAP data or around SAP processes Duet Enterprise has to be used.

  • Sharepoint 2007 as Content repository for KM

    Hello
Any one know if it is possible to define Sharepoint as repository for KM (EP7 SP10)?
    TNX
    Erez

    Hi Erez,
I am not sure about the interoperability between Sharepoint 2007 and EP7 SP10. But there is a document about the interoperability of older versions. Find it <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/9e891378-0601-0010-5386-a3387f1b161b">here</a>.
Basically, SAP Knowledge Management can be used as a WebDAV server or a WebDAV client. In a scenario as a WebDAV client, SAP KM provides an access to documents stored on other WebDAV-enabled servers. For this purpose, you use the WebDAV repository
    manager.
The setting up the access to documents in SharePoint Document Libraries does not dif-
fer from the default procedure and comprises following steps:
         •  Define an HTTP system in the CM system landscape.
         •  Create a cache for the WebDAV repository manager.
         •  Configure the repository manager parameters for the WebDAV repository man-
            ager.
That should still work for the new versions of Sharepoint and EP.
    Hope I could help!
    Best regards,
    Martin
