Integration Services Installation Error 6801

Hello:
I am trying to install integration services on a server I just P2Ved running 2008 R2 x64, to a 2012 R2 hyper-v cluster but am receiving an error message during install. It detects a previous version and asks to update.
The installation gets to "Installing Guest Components..." then fails with the following error message:

An error has occurred: One of the update processes returned error code 6801.

Windows 2012 R2 hyper-v integration services update - error code: 50

Physical Host is a brand new Windows 2012 R2 with hyper-v role, VM is a Windows Server 2012
I try to upgrade the integration services update, VM become unresponsive and I lost connection to it, had to turn it off, afterwards it wouldn't boot.
Tried F8 on the reboot and then switched to the command prompt to manually upgrade the integration services running the setup, but got an error (Error code: 50 )
VM halts in the middle of booting up.
saying: Please wait ...
Anyone has any idea why it happened and how to fix this?

Itunes "Apple Mobile Device Service" Installation error

Im trying to install Itunes and i receive this error:
"Service 'Apple Mobile Device' (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."
I started services.msc and there isn't a service called Apple Mobile Device there.
I also ran the Installation in Run as Administrator and i still receive the same error.

I've been having the same problem on my Windows 7 64-bit computer. If you are running a 64-bit system, and are installing the 64-bit version of iTunes, the problem may lie in where the program is being installed. The default location that showed up for me was "Program Files (x86)" which is for 32-bit programs. Once I changed the default to just "Program Files" (which is for 64-bit programs) everything seemed to install correctly. Before I tried this install, i cleaned up everything: ran Registry Mechanic, Malwarebytes, Spybot Search and Destroy, then closed unncessary files and programs; closed unnecessary processes using Task Manager, I did leave my Norton running.

Shared Services Installation Error

Hi all
im very new to Essbase and have little experience in the installation process.
I followed the documentation and managed to install Shared Services (SS) and the BI products.
I encountered and error when trying to install some essbase analysis products and could no longer start shared services. I proceeded to un-install and re-install the packages again thinking it would be simpler.
When i re-installed SS a fresh i received an error on the command line when attempting to start the configuration utility despite receiving non errors in the actual installation.
This is as follows:

There is no JRE Folder within the \Hyperion\common folder containing the jvm.dll that im told by a colleague usually exists.
Im running Vista Buisness, and have the JRE 5.0 Update 11 installed if thats any help.

The path was "C:\Hyperion\deployments\Tomcat5\bin\HyS9SharedServices.exe" Im guessing this is a consequence of the install proceedure not being done correctly by msyelf? Also found this in the conifgtool lo:

SCOM 2012 R2 Reporting services installation error - data reader account

I have successfully installed SCOM 2012 R2 and SQL 2012 SP1 on the same server. I was trying to install the reporting server piece of SCOM.
When I get to the part that asks for a domain account, I get this error:
"Data Reader account provided is not same as that in the management server"
The account is not the same as the management server, and it does have read access to the data warehouse and reporting databases. Is there some other permission this account needs for reporting services?

Active Directory Management Gateway Service installation error

Hey,
When I attempt to install the 32 bit Server 2008 package from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=2852 I get an error saying that it's not the correct version. Just in case I tried the 3 other versions, but as
expected they give the same error. Any ideas?

Stopping Services Installation Error

When i try to uprgrade/install the new itunes, for the new ipod i just got it installs for a bit but stops at stopping services and waits a few minutes then bring up a pop up saying "service "ipod service"(ipodservice) could not be stopped. Verify that you have sufficent privellages to stop system services. Can anyone help me?

That can happen sometimes if the itunes installer is having a hard time shutting down either itunes or quicktime (or applications using quicktime) prior to the install. So let's try a "download, restart, then install strategy."
Leave your ipod unplugged.
Download and save a copy of the itunes installer to your hard drive. (Do not run the install on line, and do not start the install by clicking on the iTunesSetup.exe (installer) file just yet.)
Latest iTunes Installer
Shut down running applications and restart the PC.
Do not open any other applications prior to attempting the iTunes install. Switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the install.
Now start the install by doubleclicking the iTunesSetup.exe file.
Does the install go through properly this time?

SharePoint 2010 with SQL Reporting Services 2012 "Installation Error: Could not find SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\110 registry key"

i have a small sharepoint farm "2 servers" (WFE) and SQL Server 2012 ,
i installed rsSharePoint for reporting services , as a read the Reporting services is Application Service with SQL 2012 not as SQL 2008 R2 with SharePoint integrated mode, so after installation when am trying to configure the SQL Server
Reporting Services Application services i got the below error :
"Installation Error: Could not find SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\110 registry key"
any kind of help would be much appreciated .

I'm having the same issue, but to me it seems like the instructions I've seen are all over the place. I already have SP 2013 and SQL 2012 SP 1 installed. I already added the features for Reporting Services - Sharepoint and Reporting Services
Add-in for SharePoint Products. I didn't see the Reporting Service service in CA, so I ran the powershell scripts to add SPRSService and SPRSServiceProxy.
My initial quest, was to get the BI features enabled, which took me on the journey of adding the Report Services, then I got the error.
Then when I read this about installing the BI features

Is Reporting Services different or in addition to the BI Feature (PowerPivot)?
Have I missed a step?

Hi,
Are you installing temp. Installer with Admin user id, make sure this user should have all necessary roles for installations. Check and try to login in SDM.

I have used the oracle's OSR installation guide. I beg to differ if OSR is really enterprise ready product.
I dont think this is a specific problem with my installation. The point is that the installation logs is very poor to put it mildly.
you get a sense that this product is developed by school student and is not an enterprise ready software.

When i run the Template Installer,I got the following error in the step 19:"Configure the Role of the Integration Service"

Hello Alex,
To avoid problems while using the template installer please check prerequisites for post-installation in SAP documentation. That information can be found in SAP Help Portal (http://help.sap.com --> SAP Netweaver --> Installation and Upgrade guide --> Installation --> 2 - Installation - SAP Netweaver 2004s --> SAP NetWeaver 2004s Installation Documentation).
Select your Operating System and Database and look for 'Post-Installation Steps for Usage Type *' in the dedicated document.
Important: You cannot use the template installer after
Upgrade
Add-In installation (Exception: Configuration of Usage Type BI-Java can be
executed after Add-In Installation)

Integration Services Fails to Update - Error Code: 1783

Hi All,
I moved a 2008R2 VM guest from a 2008R2 host to a 2012R2 host. Two other VM guests that I moved went without an issue.
When attempting to install the updated Integration Services for the third it errors...
Upgrade Hyper-V Integrations Services
A previous installation of Hyper-V integration services has been detected (version 6.1.7601.17514). Click Ok to upgrade this installation.
[I press OK]
During the process it makes it to: Installing Guest Components....then
An error has occured: One of the update processes returned error code: 1783
Any ideas how to resolve?

P2V installs old integration services

Hi there,
I have a SCVMM 2012 SP1 attached to a HVC.
I have been successfully converting Vmware VMs to Hyper-V via P2V over V2V, my one and only gripe, is it installs an old version of the integration tools (6.1.7601.17514) which logs various events. If i shutdown the vm and perform the install integration
services then it works fine and i get to version 6.2.9200.16433 (the correct one i believe for win2k8R2).
Is the specific location for integration services iso used during the P2V process?

Just found have a workaround solution as below
1. Open Services.msc
2. Open the properties of the service that wont start
3. Make a note of the last entry at the end of 'Path to executable' i.e. C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe -k LocalServiceAndNoImpersonation
4. In the registry navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Svchost
5. In the right pane open the string that matches the Path to executable entry, then add the exact service name
6. Close regedit and reboot. Now check if the service has started.
7. Repeat for all services with this issue.

Error while running SSIS package from Integration service or via Job

Hi All,
I encounter the below error while running SSIS Package from Job or integration service. However on execution completes success fully while running from data tools. The issue occurs after migration to 2012 from 2oo5 dtsx. PFB the error.
SSIS Error Code DTS_E_PRIMEOUTPUTFAILED. The PrimeOutput method on OLE DB Source returned error code 0xC02020C4. The component returned a failure code when the pipeline engine called PrimeOutput(). The meaning of the failure code is defined by
the component, but the error is fatal and the pipeline stopped executing. There may be error messages posted before this with more information about the failure.
A buffer failed while allocating 10485760 bytes.
The system reports 26 percent memory load. There are 206110765056 bytes of physical memory with 150503776256 bytes.
free. There are 2147352576 bytes of virtual memory with 185106432 bytes free. The paging file has 208256339968 bytes with 145642921984 bytes free.
The package also runs successfully from other servers. This happens only in one of our server.seems like issue with some sql configuration.

Are you running using SQL Agent Job and Data tools on same server or different?
If it is executing fine using Data tools and failing with Job it might be User credentials issue.Try
to run Job with your credentials by using proxy .

We have license BI edition of sql server 2012. Other services and database are working fine. Issue with integration service only.

The issue may occur if Evaluation Edition or CTP Edition of SQL Server was installed earlier on the server, however, the previous instance of SQL Server was not uninstalled completely or upgraded to Business Intelligence Edition successfully. To resolve
the issue, modify the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server\110\ConfigurationState registry key value from 1 to 3, and then rerun the Edition Upgrade procedure from the SQL Server install media to upgrade the SQL Server components to the
licensed edition again.
