Integration with iProcurement application

I'm trying to integrate Oracle iProcurement application's main business process, i.e browsing through shopping catalog, adding items to the shopping cart, saving and retrieving shopping cart, retrieving the pending requisitions etc, with my web application.
I have figured out that Oracle exposes certain interfaces like interface tables, Published APIs, e-Commerce gateway and XML gateway, if I go through the JCA adapter route. But I could not get any help regarding the way in which these interfaces can be used (like sample code etc).
Also, there's no help regarding specific APIs or interface tables that are specific to iProcurement (because I'd need to know the input/output parameters for APIs and the query formats for interface tables).
Also, does Oracle expose any web-services to achieve the same?

Hi Madhu,
You could use the DI server to integrate SAP Business One with a web application. I also believe there is a SAP Business One Web Service which is built on top of the DI Server.
I can't provide you with a full implementation, but all the information you would need can be found in the SDK help file under the DI server section. The SDK samples are also quite useful. For any additional training I would advise contacting your local SAP field office.
There are some threads on this forum which might be useful to you. e.g:
[Re: Accessing company information from a ASP.NET web form]
Hope this is useful to you.

  • Integration with PeopleSoft Applications Using Oracle SOA Suite 11g BPEL

    Hi,
I'm integrating BPEL with Peoplesoft FSCM 9.0 Application on tools 8.49 using Oracle SOA Suite 11g. The BPEL invokes the web service method generated from Peoplesoft Component Interface in a synchronuos manner.
I have deployed the BPEL in Oracle SOA Suite 11g using Jdeveloper successfully but I have problem in configuring the BPEL node in Peoplesoft side using Oracle SOA Suite 11g(FMW) . I had done the integration of BPEL with Peoplesoft FSCM 9.0 on tools 8.49 using Oracle SOA Suite 10g earlier successfully by configuring BPEL node properties as follows:
BPEL CONSOLE : http://Host Name:8888/BPELConsole (System with Oracle SOA Suite 10g server for deployment)
    BPEL DOMAIN : default
Using this BPEL node configuration, I was able to ping the BPEL console of Oracle SOA Suite 10g from peoplesoft and hence complete the integration successfully.
Now in order to acomplish Business rules and other functionality, the BPEL application has been developed in Oracle SOA Suite 11g using Jdeveloper 11g. This time I'm not able to configure the BPEL node in Peoplesoft for this integration as I'm assuming there is no separate BPEL console in Oracle SOA Suite 11g. All the BPEL deployments are administered in console (11g console used for deployment of BEPL)
http://Host Name:7001/em (System with Oracle SOA Suite 11g server - Fusion Middleware).
So when I Configured the BPEL node property in Peoplesoft as :
BPEL CONSOLE : http://Host Name:7001/em (System with Oracle SOA Suite 11g server for deployment)
    BPEL DOMAIN : default
I'm not able to ping the Peoplesoft BPEL node to the Oracle SOA Suite 11g. Hence I'm not able to proceed with my integration.
When I searched the OTN discussion forum on BPEL console for Oracle SOA Suite 11g, all threads point that there is no separate BPEL console unlike Oracle SOA Suite 10g. Also most of the articles for Integration with Peoplesoft Application using SOA 11g do not state any specific configuration setting for property of Peoplesoft BPEL node in order to integrate with BPEL 11g. The examples published in OTN still point towards screen shots of integration using SOA Suite 10g.
So I'm not able to proceed in this regard.
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Girish

    Hi,
I found this document from the Oracle Open World 2009 (maybe you have found it too) :
"Integration with PeopleSoft applications using oracle soa suite 11g BPEL" --> [http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/fmw4apps/peoplesoft/pdf/oow2009-bpel-psft.pdf]
And this could be a little more simple, but have a good step-by-step tutorial.
I think you must read this docs by now, but never come amiss.
    Hope this can help you,
By the way, if you can help me with this I'll appreciate it a lot.

  • BPM Tasklist Integration with ADF Application

    Hi Experts,
We are using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.7 in our project and need to integrate with Oracle BPM 11g. We basically need to see the BPM task list as well as initiate a new task from ADF Application.
I have already searched the blogs and internet about the same. Below are some of them along with andrejus blogs.
Con-Fusion, Bugs, Facts & Workarounds: ADF-BPM Integration: Custom Worklist.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/user.1111/e15175/bpmug_ws_taskflows.htm#BPMUG20812
What I am looking for is step by step process including the things which needs to be done on Weblogic and domain side to integrate task list with adf application.
    Thanks

It seems all of the instructions are there on your second link.  When it comes to doing the weblogic portions there are links from there to another guide.  I found the following two other links but your second link looks the closest to what I remember from an internal document that had those same steps.

How Sun Portal Server integration with other appliction?
Where are have this topic information(pdf, html, etc)
    Plealse help me ! Urgency!!!!!

Application Integration is done with providers(portlets)
It depends on the API of your application.
    - Basic integration could be a dynalic SSO-Link in a simple provider.
    - Some apps via Netlet to remote access the application(wold/excel ...)
    - ERP/CRM integration via WSDL or XML/JSP proxy
or even EJB, CORBA or JDBC connectors if your application support these APIs.
For more info about providers see:

  • 3rd party payment integration with ADF application

    Hi ADF experts,
We have a requirement to integrate our ADF application with 3rd party payment gateway.
For this we have created 2 servlets(one to post data, and one for relay response) which will talk to payment gateway.
Since we are using servelts, we wont have access to bindings or any of ADF features. We manage the handshake between servlets and ADF app by passing data through session variables.
I am not happy with this solution, even though it works in our test environment. I would prefer a complete ADF soultion rather than using servelts/jsps.
Is there a standard way(either inbuilt in ADF or extensions) to integrate 3rd party gateway with ADF application which is safe and secure?
    Jdev used: 11.1.1.1.5
    Payment gateway used: authorize.net
    thanks
    -Venkat

You can access adf application module from a servlet. All you have to do its to setup a pagedef for the servlet.Check out my blog http://tompeez.wordpress.com/2011/12/16/jdev11-1-2-1-0-handling-imagesfiles-in-adf-part-3/ Which shows how to do this.
I'm not aware of standard integration to a payment service.

  • IPM 11g integration with oracle applications R12

    Hi,
We are in process of setting up first IPM instance for AP invoice processing. I installed all required software and got IPM server up and running. I was following installation guide for integration with applications R12 but it is not detailed enough so opened oracle SR and now analyst himself is saying documentation is not enough and you need to use solution accelarator kit. Oracle's product manger is not giving kit before giving training and there is no training in near future so we are just at full stop at this time. Has anybody done successful install and end to end integration with 11g version without solution kit? Can anybody point me to good detailed documentation?
I would appreciate any help I can get on this.
    Thanks,
    Jigisha

    Hi
AP Invoice end to end processing would need to have IPM , EBS , ODC , OFR (if needing to include forms recoginition functionality as well ) .
This is the outline of the architecture that need to be set up for end to end AP processing .
Let me look around if there is any documentation which gives further details on this topic .
    Thanks

  • I/PM ERP Integration with Oracle Application Server instead of Websphere

I'm just starting an integration between IPM 7.7.1 and JDE EnterpriseOne v8.12.
In the EIS documentation for 7.7.1 has some specific assumptions regarding integrations with JDE EnterpriseOne (8.12), specifically using IBM Websphere. We opted to go with the Oracle Portal and Oracle Application Server. Just curious if the integration approach/instructions would require some adjustments because of the non-Websphere selection my JDE team chose. Or if it just plan won't work.
    Jim

    Hi Jim,
The reason that the documentation specifically spells out IBM Websphere is most likely because it was the application server that we developed and tested with at the time. The important requirement for this type of integration is that this server be an Intel based server running a Microsoft OS. The reason for this is because there are dlls with the Oracle IPM product that enable communication between the IPM functions and the JDE Business functions. If the Enterprise server for JDE is intel based then a JAS can exist on the same server, the dlls can be on that machine and the extra server is not required. This server is only required if the Enterprise server is not intel based. As far as your choice to use Oracle Application Server goes, I really have no basis to say if this works or not. My thought is that it shouldn't matter as long as the JAS server is an intel based, 32 bit server running a Microsoft OS. There are many other variables and lots of experience implementing this type of integration with JDE within the Oracle IPM consulting team. Give us a call if we can help.
    Hope this helps,
    Matt

  • Can Oracle Application Express (APEX) be integrated with ADF applications?

    Hi All,
Oracle Application Express (APEX) works on various supported databases. Can this tool be integrated with ADF for report publishing, in adf some of my result is coming from Business Components , so can these things be related to each other?
Please provide a suitable forum to ask this question if this question doesn't fir in ambit of this forum.
    Thanks in advance.

There are a couple of things you can do - a lot depends on what your application needs. Since you ask this in the JDeveloper forum, I'm going to address getting to ApEx from ADF, not to ADF from ApEx - but some of the same possibilities apply.
Easiest thing to do is to jump into the ApEx application with a af:goLink or af:goCommand referencing the needed page's URL. By setting the target, you can control whether it opens in a new window or the same window. I'm not currently using ApEx, but I have a few reports written as PL/SQL Server Pages that I call exactly this way.
You can also open the ApEx pages in an af:inlineFrame - and it will look like it is inside your ADF application - but use inline frames with a little caution - they don't work perfectly in all browsers, notably Mobile Safari.
ApEx can't look inside your ADF BC objects, but of course, if your two applications are using the same database, you can communicate between them within the database. One possibility to look at is Advanced Queuing.
Some ApEx functionality can be executed by executing the underlying PL/SQL procedures - do a search in this forum for how to call PL/SQL from an ADF BC Application Module.

  • OpenSource-LiveChat- to be integrated with Portal Application

I am developing a site , in weblogic portal 10.2.
Could you please suggest , If any body integrated Opensource live chat to the site.
    Thanks & Regards

It depends on the application you try to integrate. iPS allows secure sessions to be set up with the applications via the portal desktop. If the application is entirely windows based, you might wan't to have a look at the 3rd party products, such as tarentella, citrix or graphon.

  • OPA (Oracle Policy Automation)integration with Oracle Application R12

    Hi,
We want to know checklist for OPA integration with Oracle Applocations( Ebussiness Suite). It is urgent, Can anybody help us on this.
It is very urgent. Any one can help us to integrate OPA (Oracle Policy Automation) with R12 Ebs.
    Thanks in advance
Edited by: Venkat K.V on Sep 7, 2010 2:59 AM

The OPA team doesn't maintain a check-list of integration steps for EBS, but this should be a pretty standard web services integration using Oracle Determinations Server.
You might also want to check out this tutorial:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/apps-tech/policy-automation/overview/opa10-4.zip, which shows an example of how to integrate the OPA Oracle Web Determinations component with E-Business Suite.

  • Oracle Reports Integration with iPlanet Application/Web Server

Do any body know if we can integrate Oracle Reports with iPlanet Application Server or Web Server?

Theoretically yes, in Reports 6i there is either a CGI or servlet to set up, in 9i there is a servlet interface.
In practice through this is not simple, at least in the 9i case, and with Oracle 9iAS a reports server comes configured out of the box.

  • Integration with Oracle Applications from composite applications

    Hello all ,
I'm trying to connect to eBusiness Suite via Oracle Applications adapter from the Jdevelopver - all on SOA 11g platform . And I want to insert an purchase order from supply chain business domain .
The problem is the order has and header and more lines and for it I have two different API's exposed from E Business Suite - but in the Oracle Adapter wizard only one API can be add it when the operation is build .
What is the practice or recommendations in this case ? Where I will set the transaction ?
Do you have some samples around this kind of operations ?
    Many thanks in advance,
    Stefan

I'm not from Oracle, but here is my opinion:
Right now it seems like from what I've seen, the apps and the rest of Oracle
are just getting started in their integration process with Portal.
This means that they are starting to:
    1) Certify the apps with 9iAS r2.
    2) Build portlets for the apps.
This process is at LEAST 6-12 months away from seeing any
portlet packages out for apps. Again, some apps will happen
    before others.

  • Ant/Hudson integration with ADF application

    Hi,
I'm currently investigating some Ant and Hudson integration for my project and I'd be interested to know how other people are handling such things as continuous integration, automated builds, release management etc with Oracle ADF applications.
I've had some success using ojdeploy from Ant, and I'm now able to run a Hudson project to at least keep track of whether the build (via ojdeploy) is successful or not. However, the ojdeploy tool is a bit of a black box and I'd like to add further steps to my build (such as unit test execution, code quality reports, etc). I guess I can replicate everything that ojdeploy is doing into my own Ant script and stop using ojdeploy (or just use it for EAR creation), but I'm wondering if there are any other helpful bits and pieces I should know about. Are there any JDeveloper/ADF specific ant tasks that I can add to Ant via taskdef and make use of?
    Cheers!

    japher,
I am not using ojdeploy because of [url http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=848196]a bug that I had found in the earlier 11g releases - I haven't checked to see if it's resolved in 11gR1 yet.
The sneak preview is, yes, it's quite possible to use ANT to build your ADF projects (the article goes into the gory details as to how) - a key thing is to put all of the ADF libraries into your version control system so that you can build the applications without having to install JDeveloper. Once you've done that, setting up Hudson (or TeamCity or Continuum, or any of the other build servers out there) is pretty straightforward. I like Hudson and TeamCity personally, because they involve little-to-no editing of configuration files and lots of point-and-click-at-the-pretty-web-UI. TeamCity isn't free (for anything other than a small configuration), so Hudson becomes a nice default.
