Integreated Versus Non integreated system of accounting

Hello experts
I want to know whether integreated and non integreated system of accounting can be followed concurrently in SAP.
that is to have the separate system for cost accouting and financial accouting and to have the separate trial balance as per cost accouting and financial accounting. is it possible?
Basically because of the inherent differences in these two types of accouting, there will be different profits .
Hence i want to know whether it is possible to have the different trial balance as per these two systems?

Within SAP you can produce a P&L statement both in FI (finance) and CO (controlling).  Trial balance exists in FI.  The answer to your question is yes.

  • Approaches for Integration of non-SAP Systems in CE

    Hello!
Sorry for this theoretical question but it is important fo me to know:
Is the use of Webservices the only way to integrate non-SAP Systems in a Process desinged with Netweaver BPM or are the other ways too? If yes, which are they? Is CE only designed for consuming Webservices?
Thank you all for your help.

  • Playlist use on mopar vehicle integration system

I have been using my ipod through my jeep base factory radio through the mopar/ipod integration system. No issues the first 3 weeks. I had 3-4 playlists created on my ipod and was able to search them through the radio. However, I recently created a new playlist from my library and dragged it to my ipod. I seem to be able to manually play the playlist on the ipod and the ipod seems to recognize it. However, my mopar system does not seem to recognize ANY of my playlists now (no search ability). I've tried many most of the suggestions from the Mopar user booklet. Not sure where to turn.

Well I am not sure what I did but the iPod is operating correclty with my Mopar Integration Kit again.?
I had given up and was going to take it back to the dealer the other day, but I decided to try it one more time before removing it from the Jeep, and voila, it was working.
It did spend about 30 seconds "updating", but after that I was able to control the iPod and browse all the various categories (i.e. Playlists, Artists, Albums...).
There are a few changes that I can think of that may have caused it to start working again. I had recently changed some of the playlists on the iPod. I also turned off the "skip when shuffling" setting on all my podcasts. In addition to those two changes, I did remove a movie that I had on the iPod (however there are still other movies on it).
I also attempted to re-create the prior (non responsive) condition, but with no success. I am not exactly sure what caused the integration unit to start responding again, but it is working now.

  • Third Party Integration and OID Accounts

I'm planning on using OID with a sync with another LDAP such as AD or Novell. I am also going to integrate SSO with a third party SSO engine.
How do I log into Oracle SSO with a user neither defined in AD or my third party SSO engine? I am basically worried about accounts like PORTAL and ORCLADMIN. Is it possible to bypass the third party integration for these accounts or am I forced to create these accounts in AD and my third party SSO engine?

    Jon,
you can either authenticate locally e.g. cn=orcladmin or externally.
You have various option s (depending on the OID version) and how you organize the user base in OID. On a high level the authentication is based on objectclasses for an entry.
E.g. user being synchronized from AD to OID (using the Directory Integration Plaform) contain an objectclass "aduser" to distinguish them as external AD users within OID. So the external authentication plugin will "know" who is an AD user and try to authenticate this user externally with AD not OID. You can also configure the external authentication plugin to filter user who should not be externally authenticated.
If you store all external users in a dedictated subtree e.g. cn=AD_USERS or cn=EDIR_USER you can configure the external authentication plugin to authenticate those user to the respective external directories.
with OID 10.1.4.0.1 you could also make use of the server chaining authentication.
So there are a couple of options you have. See the documentation

    Hello
I wander where to find latest instruction guide for installation of latest (oracle based) Process Integration system.
I is a little confusing to me. I sit not a part of NW7.4? In SWPM there is a complete dedicated section to PI 7.1.
I have under SWPM two packages and I do not know chich is corrrect:
    70SWPM10SP04 and SWPM10SP04
    Thhank you for your help
    Jan

Hi Jan - Yes. For 7.4(even for 7.3)we should refer to the installation documents under the relevant product version. There is no separate category like 7.1 and 7.1 EHP
what is the operating system? Are you looking for dual stack or single stack installation?
However have a look at the below master guide..

  • Signing my application in a Continuous build/integration system

I have a Mac OS X app and I recently obtained a digital certificate (Developer ID Application) to sign this app. I have the following questions about signing this app -
Can I specify a particular certificate as an input to codesign so that it is not installed in keychain? So that in my environment (Continuous build/integration system), any available Mac could be used to sign my app?
If not, then can I install/uninstall a certificate in keychain on a machine on the fly?
    Thanks!

You will probably get a faster answer in the developer forum.

  • Access to Contractors for E-Recruiting in an integrated system

    Hi,
How to get the access to a contractor for E-Recruiting as Recruiter without having IT0105 (userid) in an integrated system. They will not have pernr (not hired into the ECC system)
    Thanks.
Edited by: Uday C on Jul 31, 2009 7:34 PM

    Hi Uday,
E-Recruitment means they need to access portal. Am I right? Without having user ID in It0105, how system will allow to log on?
We had same problem. So to accomodate this scenario, we created separate PA and hire them in SAP system as External employee via action Hiring External action. Then assigned user ID in IT0105. We had separate E-Rec rule and assigned to them but not back end access.
Whay don't you follow same procedure?

  • Will lookout integrator system allow you to modify and save existing runtime/development applications

We have many customers that are using Lookout. All have the Runtime/Development version. I would like to know if the Lookout Integrator System license will allow me to save a customer's process to a floppy disk from their machine, allow me to open it from my machine (with Lookout Integrator System license installed), modify the process, save it back to a floppy disk and copy the process to the customer's machine.
My goal is to be able to "develop" and or modify a customer's process at my office then copy it to customer's machine with modifications.
I also employ three other Lookout programmers. Will I have to purchase multiple integrator licenses or can I install one license on four machines?

Yes, you are able to open the customer's process, modify something and then copy to the customer computer.  Lookout Integrator software is exactly what you need.
But you have to purchase 4 licenses if you want to install on 4 computers.

  • Using ale u can send from sap to sap and sap to non sap systems

    hi,
using ale u can send from sap to sap and sap to non sap systems,
then what is diff b/w ALE and EDI

    Hello KALYAN KUMAR,
    Application Link Enabling (ALE)
1.You distribute data using ALE if you want to communicate from one system to one or more other (mostly internal) systems.
2.ALE transfers data in IDoc format and uses the methods of tRFC for data transfer.
3.ALE enables the integration of business processes across several SAP or non-SAP systems.
    Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
1.You use EDI if you want to exchange business application documents with an (external) partner system (for example, a customer or vendor).
    2. The SAP system sends EDI messages in IDoc format to an EDI subsystem, where they are converted to a universal EDI standard (UN/EDIFACT or ANSI/X12).
    3. This enables communication with non-SAP systems.
By definition, two partners are involved in the process in an EDI application scenario: The sender and the recipient of an EDI message
I hope u understands the difference:)

  • SAP to External Non SAP Systems C++ Connections

    Hi guys,
i should develop a C++ application that should transfer/receive data from an external Non SAP System to a SAP System (MM SD FI Modules) and viceversa,
This bidirectional integration should be synchronous and asynchronous, depending on the data flow type,
I was thinking to use IDocs for this communications,
I should be able to send purchase and sell orders requests from the Non Sap System to the Sap system and receive the result of SAP processes once the SAP transactions will be finished.
So i'll have a C++ process that send idocs (created with sdk end sent throught RFC to SAP) for SD or MM operations and a SAP Abap module that receive this idocs and start internal operations.
After this i need an internal SAP abap module that send to my external application Idoc's with the result of internal operations.
Are the idocs the common way to transfer data(low cadinality) in this scenario, or there is a better way?
Note: my sap system versions are previous to the netweaver release, so i can't use a Service Oriented comunication...
    Thanks in advance!!!

    Hi,
try sending the data through BAPI Function Module.
and use the FM in your C++ program.
    hope this works....
    try
    best of luck!!

  • Idoc  b/w sap(r/3) and non sap system .

    hi gurus,
how i pass an outbound idoc  b/w sap(r/3) and non sap system .
which  function module we will use in this scenerio for inbound and outbound idoc both
please guide me  with an example .

    Hi Pawan,
Non SAP system should have RFC adapter in order to receive and send Idocs from/to SAP.
If this is not your case, you should us a Integrator Middelware with RFC and standard adapters like SAP Exchange Infrastructure.
If for example, your non SAP system is able to process data from flat files you can build next interface: SAP send Idocs to middleware that receive them using RFC adapter, middelware maps Idocs into flat file and send it to a one of non SAP system folder using FTP adapter. Non sap system triggers the flat file into its applications.
    Reward points if useful.

  • Receiving IDocs from non-SAP system ...

    Hello guys,
I have problem with implementing IDoc-XI-IDoc scenario. The sender system is a subsystem (non-SAP system) sending IDocs but XI is not able to receive them. I thing the IDoc metadata can not be found.
Logical system name of the sender is IF6020DEV. I registered the system in SLD. In Integration Directory I imported the Bussines System IF6020DEV to my scenario and I created communication channel of type Sender IDoc Adapter in it.
In IDX2 I created new port called IF6020DEV and I copied needed metadata into the port. But it doesn't work. Probably I don't do it right because I'm beginner with SAP XI.
Could you give me any advice how to configure XI for receiving IDocs from non-SAP system?
    Thank you in advance!
    Regards
    Zbynek

Thank you very much. The issue described in refered discussion is almost same issue what I'm solving. Unfortunetally the described solution dosn't work for me.
The sender system still returns following error. I know you probably won't understand it because you don't know the subsystem, but maybe you could get some idea what is wrong.

  • SAP (ECC) extractor to transfer data into Non SAP System

    Hi Experts,
Scenario : We had a requirement to decommission the existing SAP BW system and merge it into Non SAP BI system (say MSBI).
Existing BW system getting data from standard extractor and populating till cubes.
Now If this SAP BW system will be decommissioned and all the data needs to be moved to new Non SAP System BI.
What will be the approached for this smooth transfer.
Will SAP (ECC) std extractor will be used to move the data into non SAP BI system ? How ?
Any documentation and experience will be helpful.
    Thank-You.
    Regards,
    VB

    Hi VB,
First you need to identify that your MSBI system support BCI(business content integration) method. For example Informatica support BCI and provide RFC plugins to integrate with SAP. If your MSBI support BCI method then you can use standard dataextractors to extract data in new BI system. You will also need to plan the reporting model and how the extracted data will be feeded in your BI datamodel/reporting side. You may use some transformation reference from your existing SAP BI system.
    Thanks
