Intel 3000 detected, but not my 1Gb card?

Hi
I just bough and installed a Corsair Neutron GTX SSD in my 2012 MBP and all was well and good... However, I noticed performance issues and found the graphics under "About this Mac" to be Intel 3000 512mb with the black glossy screen, not the 1024mb Nvidia (Or Ati? card with anti-glare silver frame screen?
And in bootcamp Windows runs extremely slow, which I believe could have something to do with these wrong driver?
Really hope somebody knows something about this

Have you look in Sys Info? Is that where you are not seeing the ATI card?
Then I guess, not really a guess, the card has died. The big problem with that is to replace that card you have to replace the Logic board as it is soldered onto/into the logic board along with the CPU.

Can't really say for sure, as I have been working with it for 2 days now, getting Windows7 to work with bootcamp (So irritating, as Bootcamp and Win7 worked with no problems on the original Toshiba 128Gb SSD).
I just checked my brothers MBP, we bought them at the same time, and he can see the AMD ATI HD6770M 1Gb graphics card no problem...
Windows can't see the Intel 3000, when I check it is displayed as the ATI card, whereas OS X only display the Intel 3000 :/
We have 2 years warrenty by law in Denmark, so that should not be any problem, I just need the mac for school work

    Hello beafraser,
Here's an article to help troubleshoot when your iPod is detected but not identified.

  • IPod Nano 6th Gen detected but not recognized

Since recently, my IPod is not being recognized by iTunes (11.1.4.62 ). The error says that it is detected but not be identified properly. I went through all the troubleshooting steps including resetting my ipod, re-starting the driver, re-installing iTunes but nothing works. Interestingly, if iTunes is not open, I can see the iPod as a storage device, I can open and browse it. So I assume there is no error with the wire, the iPod itself or the driver. As soon as iTunes gives the above error, it stops being visible as a storage device. How can I fix this?

    Aridra,
Thanks very much for this - I had exactly the same problem; went through the same steps to no avail unitl I read your post.  Similarly, I uninstalled EVERYTHING Apple on my PC and re-installed. Bingo !!  my iPod is now recognised and synched.

  • IPhone Detected But Not Identified?

I hooked up my iPhone to my base that goes into my cpu and I got this message: "An iPhones was detected, but could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the iPhone and try again." I havent had any problems like this before. Will a reinstall over this iTunes fix the problem? I am running Windows XP. I have also noticed that when I plug up my phone, the Scanner and Camera Wizard pops up recognizing the iPhone as a camera. Also when running iTunes after I got that message, my cpu will freeze for about 5 seconds and work fine a little while then freeze again for 5 seconds. But when I close iTunes, it stops freezing.

I am having the same issue iPhone detected, but not identified. Did you get a solution to the problem? Had to go to th Apple store to register my phone. iPhone connected fine with their MacBook. That doesn't help me at home though.

Since my macbook pro is an intel core duo but not a core 2 duo, I cannot upgrade to Yosemite.  So... what OS X can I upgrade to with this computer? Thanks for the input.

Intel Core Duo is a 32-bit processor, so the latest Mac OS X version you can install is Mac OS X Snow Leopard -> http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
You are running Mac OS X 10.6.8, so you are already running the most recent Mac OS X version for your computer.

  • Flash plugin detected but not working (Firefox 22 on Linux)

    Hi all,
I can't get the flash plugin to work. It's installed, detected in about:plugins, but when I visit adobes's test page at http://www.adobe.com/fr/shockwave/welcome/ , I just get the usual " you need a plugin to view this content" thing.
This happenned since I migrated from Mageia 1 to Mageia 2, and still doesn't work on Mageia 3, which uses Firefox 17 ESR. I then downloaded and installed Firefox 22 directly from Mozilla, still with no luck. I've reset my profile, tried to use an empty profile, tried disabling all add-ons, still no luck.
    about:plugins displays this:
    File : libflashplayer.so
    Path : /opt/firefox/browser/plugins/libflashplayer.so
    Version : 11,2,202,297
    State : Enabled
    Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202
This is the most up-to-date flash version available from Adobe.
Another thing is that this machine is a 32 bits install, on an Athlon XP 3000+ with a Radeon X1650 graphics card. Surprisingly, on another machine, using the same distro but with a 64 bits install, Flash works well.
I'm out of ideas now, so any hint would be welcome. Thank you.

Shockwave also known as Shockwave for Director is not the same as the Shockwave Flash Player.

  • Detected but not transferring

    Your comment is awaiting moderation.
For some reason everything is working (camera detected and controls working) but the only problem is that when I take a picture it shows up on my camera screen and says no card detected and doesn’t transfer to where its suppose to go in my lightroom library…frustrated especially since I know its worked previously. The only reason I’m changing back to sad tethering through lightroom is because canon has not upgraded their software for yosemite on mac. Thanks in advance for any help concerning this issue.

    Canon 5D Mark III
    Lightroom 4.6
    Mac Yosemite
It worked before but not sure if it is Yosemite that is causing the problem...everything looks good until I press the shutter and the picture shows up on the camera screen but doesn't transfer to lightroom. It is mind boggling. Thanks for any help.

  • Webcam detected but not enumerated. Logitec cam, JMF, GNU/Linux, v4l2

    Hi,
I've been trying the whole day to get my "Logitech, Inc. QuickCam for DELL Notebooks" with Java Media Framework.
From searching the web and mainly the sun forums I kind of understand that JMF is not getting much attention from the developers.
Maybe I'm wrong. (I hope so)
I need to use something to capture video from a webcam on linux using java.
JMF uses v4l but, as the v4l people say on their site, v4l2 support of v4l is broken...
I downloaded the jmf-2_1_1e-linux-i586.bin, tried to run the programs, they run but the webcam is not listed for capture.
When I search for devices the program outputs: (jmfinit or the others from jmf package)
    JavaSound Capture Supported = true
    JavaSoundAuto: Committed ok
    Name = v4l:UVC Camera (046d:08c6):0
    Trying 4 320 240
    Trying 15 768 576
    java.lang.Error: Can't open video card 1
    java.lang.Error: Can't open video card 9
Apparently the camera is detected but something else prevents it from being used.
I would say the v4l interface...
I can view correctly the output from my webcam using:
    mplayer -fps 30 -tv driver=v4l2:width=640:height=480:device=/dev/video0 tv://
but if I change driver=v4l2 to driver=v4l it wont work anymore...
Is there a workaround? Am I missing something? because a few people were able to use it so why not me =)

Whenever I plug it into my computer I receive an error message that reads "An iPod has been detected, but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the iPod, then try again. If the problem persist uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again." I have done all that the alert message has told me and even restarted my iPod. Has anyone found a simple solution to this problem?

  • Ipod nano is detected but not identified

I have an ipod nano 3rd generation that works fine on my Macbook Pro laptop, but when I plug it in to my Dual 800MHz PowerPC G4, (it's an early classic stack), the computer tells me an ipod has been detected but can not identify it, and tells me to unplug and replug in, which doesn't do any good. The icon shows up on the desktop for a few brief seconds and then dissapears. I have Tiger 10.4.11 and have upgraded my USB port to a 2.0. Help Please...

  • Ipod detected but not identified when connected - so won't work

Every time I connect my ipod nano to my computer (power book g4) I get a response - "An ipod has been detected, but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the ipod then try again."
I have tried this many times and keep getting the same response. The ipod has worked before on this computer no problem. I recently had my system reloaded at a 'genius bar' and I wonder if this might be part of the problem.
I have tried rebooting both the ipod and the computer but the problem persists.
    Any suggestions gratefully received.

I had this problem today, but I was connecting the iPod to a Windows laptop. I had to disconnect and reconnect it several times before it identified it "properly."
