hi celsoglima,
Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
Yes the Processor FCLGA is a replaceable Interface.
Refer to page 48 - 50 of you System's Maintenance Manual
About the compatible CPUs
You will need to do a cross check on this
You system supports Chipset H61 which is only compatible to this CPU list
http://ark.intel.com/products/52806/Intel-BD82H61-PCH#@compatibility
And you systemboard will only accept CPU from this list ( page 66 of the Maintenance Manual)
So pick from the system board compatible and make sure it is present in the link from intel
Hope this helps
Cheers!

  • Mobile INTEL CPU supported in MEGA 651 ?

    Hello,
will it be possible to insert a Mobile INTEL CPU, i.e. Mobile Intel® Celeron® processors, SL6VH, 1.3V, 1.80 GHz, 400MHz, 478pin PPGA, in the MSI MEGA 651 ?
I t seems the socket and the bus speed is ok.
But will the BIOS support this kind of CPU ?
    Thanks for help.
    Regards Bernd.

I ve got an 1,7 Ghz Mobile Pentium 4-M in my Mega 651, it definitly runs cooler then my older 1,7 Ghz Celeron, wich had 128 kb cach, not like pentium 4M wich has 4 times more cach (512 kb). Without modding the CPU, it runs at 1,5 (1,48) volt. Making the "bent pin trick" it runs on an extremly low volt - 1,08 (1,10) volt. This means lower heat output, then it's rated 30 Watt (wich it has at 1,3 volt, and 1,7 Ghz). The CPU now runs at 1,2 Ghz. At 1,1 volt I can overclock it to 1440 Mhz, but it runs safe, only at 1404 Mhz (at 4x117 mhz fsb). At 1404 Mhz I can even look at High definition video with PowerDVD. I also tried the 133 fsb trick, , isolating the Pin AD6 with nail polish, and it works fine at 1,48 volt and 1596 Mhz, and overclocked even at 1,7 ghz (142 Mhz fsb). But of course in this case the processor generates more heat. At 1200 MHZ it works without turning on the CPU fan, wich turns on only after hevy cpu loads (for example looking on DVD-s) You can browse the internet without the fan would turn on - you can hear only the sound of the hard disk, and the psu fan. I have got only one tiny problem, somtimes when I turn on my PC, after booting, the cpu fan does not stops, I dont know why, and it runs constantly, until I stop with Speedfan. I dont know why is doing this. Not allways, only sometimes, and I cant find out why...

  • MSI P7N SLI Platinum CPU Power Socket

I have a MSI P7N SLI Platinum and I just noticed I dont have a 8pin power plug on my ATX PSU ( this PSU is in my AMD rig)
I've just had a go of trying out my MSI P7N SLI Platinum board as a computer shop said just insert the 4 pin plug you used on your AMD board near the CPU..
I questioned him about it leaving 4 sockets bare, he said it would be fine..
Well I've tried booting up the rig and I get nothing on the screen (No Signal ) checked all sockets (graphics card, cpu)
I do get a little red and blue light on the board and the CPU fan and graphics fan are running fine,, but no signal...
I'm using a Intel Pentium 4, 2.8 GHz Processor Socket 775 which I know is fine,,,
Any views on this "you can use a 4pin plug on the 8pin CPU power socket " ?
Could this be the reason my rig is not booting ?
    THanks

"Any views on this "you can use a 4pin plug on the 8pin CPU power socket " ?"
Yes you can. Make sure that 4pin cable is connected properly at correct side of 8pin socket.
"Could this be the reason my rig is not booting ?"
Nop. You can plug 8pin CPU cable if you want to test opposite Should boot with both 4 or 8.

  • Flash player 10.3.181.14 requires intel pentium 4 2.33ghz,I have  intel CPU T2080@1.73ghz processor

I am trying to use Adobe Flash player at home to simply surf the web. For a long time I've been getting prompts to update Flash Player and however much I updated it the prompts kept on poping up. This got so frustrating I decided i'd try to fix the problem once and for all. So I checked the system requirements Adobe recommend for the update I had been downloading and found one of the minimum requirements to be an intel pentium 4 2.33ghz processor. I checked my system and I have only an intel CPU [email protected] processor. My question is, does this explain why I am having so many problems? I've tried to download an earlier version of Flash Player but I always get redirected to the 10.3.181.14 version. How it has come to this I am not quite sure but I must admit I have removed the Flash Player from my computer at the moment and I'm worried that it was a mistake because will I ever get a working version again? I am running Windows Vista 32bit and Internet Explorer 8 32bit. I am out of my depth so please be gentle!

You might have better luck if you post your question in the Flash Player forum...

  • Virtual PC v7.0.2 and macbook pro with intel cpu

Is Microsoft Virtual PC v7.0.2 compatibble with intel cpu's?
    thanks

Virtual PC for Mac will only work for the older PowerPC Macs.
For the newer Intel Macs look at either Boot Camp from Apple <http://www.apple.com/bootcamp> or Parallels <http://www.parallels.com>. The performance of Windows with either of these solutions far outweighs Virtual PC.
    Hope this helps! bill

  • MacBook Pro 2.2GHz -- which exactly Intel CPU is in there?

I've been reading the wikipedia on the differences and details on the Core Duo and Core 2 Duo CPUs and it made me thinking what model number of Intel CPU have I got in my system?
I've checked the specs both on the product pages as well as in the support section and they only read that it's got the Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz CPU, no details.
Does anyone know? Can anyone with MBP 2.2Ghz system and Windows on it run CPUz and report back here with the CPU details?
    thanks!

I believe, on Apple's specifications for the MacBook Pro, it says what kind of processor it is...if it doesn't, there's surely ways to find out.
That's how the poster found out what kind of computer processing unit is packaged with the MacBook Pro. He then linked you after finding the processor on that page. It's quite simple, really.
Google It you may find some info.

  • 2.1GHz PowerPC G5 to intel cpu?

Is there anyway to change the 2.1 GHZ PowerPC G5 to an intel CPU?

Clone your hard drive at least twice:
    http://www.macmaps.com/backup.html
Read how to sell a Mac*:
    http://www.macmaps.com/selling.html
Make sure all your applications support Intel CPU and/or Mac OS X 10.7. If they don't all support Intel CPU, but most do, you'll probably want a used or refurbished Mac* that supports 10.6.8 or earlier as is listed on the bottom of:
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-2455
If they do all support the Intel CPU and Mac OS X 10.7 as is indicated by my tip below:
    https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-2465
Either way, if you are migrating to an Intel Mac, read this tip on migrating data:

  • Problem installing Palm Desktop 4.0 on Mac (Intel CPU + OS 10.5.6)

    Hello,
When installing Palm Desktop 4.0 on my Mac (MacBookPro= Intel CPU + OS 10.5.6), the installation fails when trying to install the last files (.prc files). I cannot find any installation log to know what the problem exactly is. If I try anyway to run the software, Palm Desktop seems to run OK, but HotSync Manager fails (error related to "PPC-lib").
The problem is I am still using my old but fine Visor, so I don;t think I can install a more recent version of Palm Desktop.
    Thanks for any help  !
    Post relates to: Visor Deluxe

Hello Walter and welcome to the Palm forums.
For such a new Mac, I'm fairly certain, you are going to have to use Palm Desktop 4.2.1 Rev D or later (I believe that Rev D is the latest) for Mac OS X.  You can download Palm Desktop 4.2.1 Rev D for Mac OS from the Palm website.  You may need to pick a newer Palm handheld to gain access to the download link.  If that is the case, pick the Tungsten T5, it should require Palm Desktop 4.2.1 Rev D.

What do you want to do? The 2500K is supported by the Z77A-GD65 out of the box no matter which bios version it is at.

  • XEN VM - Applying Intel CPU microcode update fails

    Hi,
I just installed OEL5 and I get the following message on boot:
Applying Intel CPU Microcode update: FATAL: Module microcode not found.
ERROR: Module microcode does not exist in /proc/modules [Failed]
From my quick Google search this is caused by the XEN virutualization. If you you get the [Failed] message then you have a serious problem.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

The same happens booting a xen linux kernel on original RHEL and derivatives (such has centos)
I just ignored it, and AFAIK there's no problem with xen.
    Just my 2 cents.

  • MacBook Intel CPU upgradeable or removable?

Is MacBook Intel CPU upgradeable or removable?

Look like the upgradeable processor is not Apple main business, it could happen later on, but from third party like sonnet, etc.
Once they could figure it out the posibility to upgrade it to a newer processor, they surely sell it.
But if the processor is soldered to the logic board than a hack website is probably give you more but risky solution.

  • Intel CPU?

    Hi
What max. Intel CPU processor can I buy for motherboard MSI MS-7071 (N 1996) and which PC power supply?

You can find all supported CPUs here http://www.msi.com/product/mb/PM8M2-V.html#/?div=CPUSupport  If you can still find these CPUs, is another question.
From a PSU persepective for your set up, suggest a Corsair CX500.
    Thx, I have: 2 x IDE Hard Disks, 2 x IDE CD/DVD-ROM, 1 x Floppy and Pentium 4, (3GHz, 84W).
BTW is it Power supply 300-400 Watt not enough to save power?
