Intel GMA X3100: could you guys let me know what games run well?

i purchased a macbook 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and was wondering if you guys could let me know some games you may have had experiance with that run within a decent range of quality (that also isnt 27 years old) with the Intel GMA X3100 processor. im not a HUGE gamer looking to play doom 3 or anything. just browseing the market, trying to see what games i should even consider looking into.
so far looks like the upcomming game Spore will run and so will age of empires 3.

- If you backed up the iPod after taking the photos then restoring from backup will recover the photos. To restore from backup see the restoring topic of:

If you restore via iTunes make sure that autosyncing is turned off. Go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check the box that says prevent iPods...".
- Otherwise if the photos ore not on the computer or iPod they are gone uless you can get them from your PhotoStream. See that topic of:

It depends, but in general, no.
The guidance on minimum system requirements is mostly about what we will and won't fix bugs for. Flash Player probably works on Windows Server 2000, and we're not going to intentionally break it or prevent you from installing it, but we're also not going to fix it if it breaks. In instances where it's going to crash on launch or have some other horrendous out-of-box experience, like attempting to install on a PowerPC Mac, then we'll prevent the installation outright.

Will Diablo 2 work in bootcamp or parallels with the Intel GMA X3100?

I have the Intel GMA X3100 graphics card on my new macbook which seems to be incompatible with Diablo 2. Usually you have to install a beta copy to run it, which is incompatible with Battle.net. If I install parallels or boot camp, will I be able to play Diablo 2 on battle.net?

So, you download it, run it, and it will ask you to insert your play discs.
But for myself that didn't work. The game was originally written for OS 9 so it seems to have issues I think.
If that native installer doesn't work then you can install windows on boot camp. All you need is a copy of XP SP2 disc or Vista SP1. Then you can run the boot camp utility (That will create disc space for windows, or called partitioning). I would recommend running any games in boot camp than parallels/VMware fusion. In virtualization(What parallels/VMware does) you're running windows on top of OS X, which eats up a lot more hardware resources.

I sent my macbook to the apple store because of the Kernal panic and got it back yesterday
and today I had kernal panic TWICE again.

I am no expert, but I did not see anything that I recognize as "the problem." In cases like this, diagnosing kernel panics is a step-by-step process. Start by disconnecting all peripherals and restart the Mac to see if the problem goes away. If the problem remains, continue with the next suggestion and repeat until you find the problem. Then you will know what to fix.

I haven't gotten a new sim card because the problem has been presenting itself in various cards not only mine. So far, all I've done is reset my network settings.
Last night, I turned off the 3G tab and it had all the signal bars. Today, I did the network reset and it's working apparently. But like I said before, previously the bars just disappear and the iphone only has the 3G activated.

As far as I know you can't delete the primary email address for an iCloud account. It's assigned when the account is created. But your neighbor wouldn't have been able to get into your iCloud account without your Apple ID and password. Are you sure the account wasn't still on your phone when you gave it to him?
You could migrate a copy of your data to a new iCloud account but I would still be concerned that someone else was using my old account, which presumably still has your data in it.
I'm fairly certain that you're going to have to have iCloud support help you sort this one out as they may have the ability to make changes to an existing account that users can't. Make an appointment with the genius bar at a nearby Apple store and have them take a look at it. If necessary, they should be able to contact iCloud support for you.

Well, this is not an easy, clear cut question. The Radeon is an old, out of date card however it does have a dedicated GPU and Memory on board. The 3100 is an integrated chip with shared system memory, however, it is much newer and up to date.
I'd put my money on the 3100 myself, however, neither is really up to the task of playing The Sims 2 in my opinion, that game (on the PC) taxed my CoreDuo with a GeForce 7900GT. :P

I know that Diablo 2 won't work normally (without downloading extra software) in 10.5.5 with the Intel GMA X3100. Will Diablo work in parallels with these settings though? How about in boot camp? How about in 10.5.6? This is on my refurbished macbook.

I feel like banging down apple's doors since my family and i are longtime users and I just purchased a copy of DII and the expansion for my boyfriend since it works on my brand new macbook eco but not on his plain white macbook... what the **** apple... seriously fix the 256 graf problem please??? why didn't the 10.5.6 update work for him and why haven't they fixed it??? The game won't even open for him... it just quits... and apple employees can't even step up and answer a post... bad for Apple bad form...
Its almost enough to make one buy a pc next time.

Help: MBP Using Intel GMA x3100 video

After opening my MBP today to teach a class, the display was black as well as the projector I connected. I have used this projector many times with success. The display will not turn on now at all, even though everything else is working fine. My 20in cinema display doesn't work either, nor does booting into my Windows XP install.
After resetting the SMC and the PRAM, with no changes, I was able to use Leopard Screen Sharing to manage my computer. The Apple System Profiler show the computer using the Intel GMA x3100 integrated video instead of the ATI card that came with my MBP.
All signs point to the video card being dead, but I thought I would check here to see if anyone had any other ideas. Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks for that link. Although I hadn't read the article, I did try all of those steps. Unfortunately, when running the hardware test the screen doesn't work and screen sharing doesn't work either (being booted into whatever account the hardware test disk uses).
At this point, it looks like either the firmware is messed up so that it isn't using the right graphics chipset, or the video card is actually dead. I am going to try the firmware reset CD [1] next. Wish me luck!
