Intel Graphics HD4600, Windows 8.1 x64, Driver: 3379 - problem with GPU clock

My notebook is Lenovo B5400.
In my notebook I have Core i3 4000m with HD4600.
When i run gpu benchmark gpu clock goes to 1100MHz (it's fine), but if my system is in IDLE, gpu clock is 600MHz (it should be 400MHz).
I tested it with driers 3345 too and problem was the same.
How to fix this?

After I bought the notebook I run Bios Update Utility, may its the problem, but on Lenovo site there is only one version of BIOS (1.02-1.04) - I have this version now!!
How to repair this??
I have balanced power plan turned on, but tried witth power saving too!

now have Windows 7 x64 with latest Intel gpu drivers from lenovo drivers site and situation is identical.
(I see thinkpad power manager says that gpu is on 150% (400*1,5=600), so it isnt gpu-z problem)

I will update thread with their reply as nothing, even Driver Genius Professional 11 has located the actual working driver. Once an update is verified, I will post back to this thread since I couldn't find the right answer online.

On Windows, the power consumption and heat production is noticeable higher than on OSX.
People said this is due the Nvidia GT750M being constantly used, because there is officially no way to switch to the more power saving Intel Graphics on Windows.

WIndows 8.1 printer error: windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer set up

My HP OFFICEJET 8500 PRO was working just fine wirelessly until I installed the Windows 8.1 update from the Microsoft. Now I cannot print at all. I get an error that says, "windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer set up". I have tried reinstalling and a ton of other solutions to no avail. Can someone PLEASE Help!

Please run the Print and Scan Doctor. Write me back with the results or post a screen shot of the results and I will have a look at them.
This diagnostic tool will check for any conflicts that could be causing the issue. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there was a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results.

Got exact same problem, was told to delete all old apple, quick time and bonjoir from computer then it would work. I use a programme called malware bytes and this takes everthing out of your computer right down to the roots but unfortunately I still have same problem

Driver\'s problems with 845PE Max2

Hello to everyone...
I am a fan of MSI's boards and recently i bought an MSI 845PE max2 m/b.
I have a problem with a device. In Windows Xp Prof wih service pack 1, a device called ''SM BUS Controller" cannot be installed and I can't find any driver that fix this problem. I tried to reinstall windows and to unplug any extra devices (such as usb devices, printers etc) but nothing happens.
Last but not least, when I try to install the INTEL chipset drivers that MSI provides us from the site, the PC reboots at 15% of the installation procedure and windows crash getting a message ''the file pci32.sys is missing or it is corrupt''.
Furthermore i have no complaints about my board. It is stable as a rock and has everything i need...

Arch64 ati radeon 3870 radeonhd driver. Problem with xorg.conf.

I've got a small problem with my xorg. I won't hide that i'm not a xorg nerd and i've used the automatic xorg tool to generate the xorg.conf. After starting X, the screen goes black and then after ~5 seconds montior switches to power-saving mode.

HP posted a workaround for this problem while they were working with Microsoft to get the root cause of the problem, many customers commented that the workaround helped them out and they were able to print. This workaround was not easy to use as the customer needed to add another printer manually and changed drivers.
We can now announce that the problem has been fixed, the problem involved a Microsoft Network component that HP was using to talk to and track the printers on the network. This fix is being rolled out by Microsoft via Windows Update and anyone who has Windows Update enabled and set to automatically install updates should have already received this update. For those that do not have Windows Update setup to automatically install fixes the fix is available now and should be installed.

This fix is only designed for users that are using there printer on a Network (Wireless or Wired) and will not fix partial printing problems encountered with USB connections.

First, I would suggest you uninstall the exsisting driver and reinstall following one of these documents to see if it will clear this error message:

Will bootable copy of drive recreate problems with overheating?

Hi, all, first let me say I am outside of my comfort range with my skills so some of these questions may seem pretty dumb. So, sorry for that.
Through my own posts and reading the posts of others, it is clear I have to take in a MacBook Pro 17" Core Duo Intel to get it fixed (almost out of warranty so I have to move on it). It spins and gets hot with the lid closed, freezes when opened and requires restart a couple of times a day, sometimes has a long buzz on force restart. I probably mangled the transfer of files from an iBook, though using migration assistant - may have transferred incompatible settings somehow. I got an external drive from OWC and am ready to download SuperDuper! at the recommendation of many of you experts. We run Leopard on the Pro 17" and will need to use a MacBook Pro 15" Core Duo Intel running Tiger as the "keyboard and screen" from the bootable drive I plan to create on the external drive. (BTW, I have never done this before) Would we expect any of the power management/sleep issues to be recreated? Obviously if it is a hardware issue, I would expect NOT to see it, but is there a chance it is software related and would therefore show up on the clone? Thanks.

Yes it does sound like you need to send in your MBP soon before the warranty expires. Be sure to do that. My niece did that recently, and got a very fast turnaround. She sent it off at 6:00 PM on a Tuesday, and it was back by Thursday morning.
It is a little difficult to say what is going on from your description, and I'm not entirely clear on what you are doing.
Super Duper (which I use) will make an exact copy of your hard drive on the new external drive. If you have corrupted software or something like that, it will be the same on the external.
To make the clone, you connect the new drive to the 17" MBP and when it has mounted, just launch Super Duper and specify the source and target volumes and Super Duper will do the rest. You will then have an exact bootable copy of your drive on the external drive.
You will then be able to boot the 17" MBP from the clone. I don't know if you can boot the 15" from it or not. If the builds of the two machines are different, you may not be able to. However, you should still be able to mount the clone on the 15" MBP and access the data.
I have read of many problems in migrating data from a Power PC platform to an Intel Machine using Migration Assistant, so you could have some problems with that. Here is Kappy's Guide for doing this:

It probably won't fix all the problems on your 17", but it could fix some of them.
Have you tried running the extended version of the Apple Hardware test on the 17"? It might give an error code saying what is wrong with it. If so, let Apple know when you send it in.
The real question is whether or not the 15" MBP will boot from the clone. I don't know if it will if the machine builds are very different. If it does boot, there is still a possibility that it may not run perfectly due to the difference in build.
The real value of the clone is to preserve all your data before you send the machine in. You may even want to wipe the old drive of any sensitive data before sending it off. If the old drive is replaced under warranty, you will not get it back. Even if it is not replaced, often the drive is erased and the OS reinstalled in the troubleshooting process, so there is no counting on getting back your data unless you make a backup, which is exactly what you plan to do.
When you get the 17" MBP back, you can use Super Duper again to clone everything back from the external drive to the internal drive.

HP Universal Print Driver (UPD) problem with tcp/ip port

We are facing, since few days, problems with HP UPD in windows 7. Let me explain.
For some reasons we need the auto update feature of HP UPD, but this feature does not works anymore.
We found that, when installing a printer, if we name the tcp/ip port with the dns name or ip the auto-update will work, but if we name the TCP/IP port with dummy text, the auto update feature won't work (can't connect to the printer). This is like the UPD
try to resolve the tcp/ip port name instead of tcp/ip port address.
This was working last month. We installed some windows updates on clients, and one of these updates screwed up the UPD. I have the list of installed updates but there are many, and if someone already had this problem and can help it would be nice. And if
nobody can help, maybe this message will put other poeple with the same problem on the way to solution.
We don't want to update the driver (too much printers involved, too much clients also)

What version of Reader are you using, and are you on Mac OS or Windows? Do you get the same error when you try to print other PDF files, or is the problem specific to one PDF?
