Intel HD Graphics display driver for windows 8 (R) stops why?

How do I fix this problem?

UPDATE: a recent Windows 10 update fixed the problem.  All display functionality has been restored.  I accepted the risk when I updated to Windows 10 on the day it was released, but was very concerned that HP et. al. had so much on their plate with the voluminous hardware platforms on the market and a heavy focus on R&D for future compatibility, that they wouldn't get around to my problem very quickly, with the additional *slight* but very real fear that it would slip under the radar altogether. Moral of the story: when you accept something as risky and act, don't whine when things don't bounce your way.  Well, that and check with your OEM for any issues before updating (HP had identified this issue on their web site).  Kudos to Intel and <I'm assuming> HP for their commitment to making their hardware work beautifully with Windows 10.  If you're in the same boat I was in with a different issue, be patient.  Chances are they're working on it.  I understand that HP was one of only a few OEMs to go "all in" on compatibility with Windows 10 early on.  I've been runningn the Windows 10 Technical Preview on another, older HP laptop for many months.  When I updated it to the final OS release, I had no hardware compatibility problems at all, which frankly surprised me. And HUGE kudos to Microsoft for an amazing OS.  With only a few minor annoyances (not including the initial hardware compatibility scare), they really got this one right, IMHO. Off to get some cheese to go with my whine...

  • Intel HD Graphics (Integrated) Driver for Windows 7 (32-bit) - ThinkPad

    Hi,
We have been running Update retriever and Thininstaller with System Center Configuration Manager 2007 for os deployment successfully for a while. When we try to deploy a ThinkPad 1143-3LG system the videodriver for the integrated videocard is not beein installed. After searching for new updates with Machine type: 1143, Operating System Windows 7 and Language Norwegian and English i dont see that this update is available for download by the update retriever system Version 4.02.0011. Is anybody else experiencing this, and is there a reason and solution for this?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Please try the following:
    1.  Open IE and clear you Temporary Internet FIles through the Internet Options dialog
    2.  Enter the following URL in IE:  http://download.lenovo.com/catalog/1143_Win7_DESC.xml
    3.  The xml file should load and you should see "acfd..." as the first four characters of the checksum element.  If you do then save this file by clicking File - Save as... and store it in your C:\Program Files\Lenovo\Update Retriever\session folder, overwriting the one that is there.
    4.  Enter the following URL in IE:  http://download.lenovo.com/catalog/1143_Win7.xml
    5.  Save this file to the same location as in step 3, overwrite the one that is there.
    6.  Run TVUR again and search for 1143 content again.  You should now see "ThinkPad Video Features(Intel huron River GT1/GT2) for Windows... in the list.
If the checksum at step 3 does not begin with "acfd..." then you may be behind a caching proxy server.  In that case, add the following to the URLs given above and try again:
         ?t=1234e252
    (just some random number)

  • Intel Graphics Accelerator Display Driver for Windows 10 - L505-S5984

Mozilla Firefox will not stay, or open up, on my computer, AFTER the Windows 10 upgrade.  An error message, constantly, appears, after my computer screen keep blinking to a black screen, before a BLANK box stay on the black screen ... and FREEZES everything.  The computer curser, also, disappears.  Obviously, this driver was not updated dring the upgrading. "Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Driver for Windows 7(R) stopped responding and has successfully recovered."  Is there a fix, or Windows 10 driver update, for this?

MissBliss, I just ended up un-installing it, and re-installing it, again; which I will tell you is difficult to get done.  It kept telling me that I already have the most recent one ... where it was installed/updated when my computer was updated to Windows 10.  I, actually, played around with it, for like 2 days, trying to make it happen.  Anyway, only some things seems to be working, now.  I still can't try to open Firefox; without that black/blue screen flashing, and, then, finally, freezing ... my computer crashing.  I, finally, just un-installed Mozilla Firefox on my computer that this keeps happening on.  I still want to return to Windows Home Premium; everything was working so beautifully, when I had it.  Personally, I wished that I have never reserved the Windows 10 app.  They made it sound so great, when promoting it.  I, now, understand that saying 'BEWARE of fox in sheep clothing,' more.  There seems to be NO help from Microsoft; and no willingness to, even, help/solve, by Microsoft.  I will admit that two of my computers that were upgraded seems to be doing okay ... although, the Windows 10 upgrade, did, make ALL but one printer, connected to them, AND the one that I am having problems with, inoperable.  My computers do not, even, recognize them, or their drivers, as being installed.  Everything as working just fine, before Windows 10 came along.  So, this makes me angry, also.  Good Luck with finding/getting an answer, THAT WORKS!  I hope that you have more success, than I did.  Windows 10 is becoming more and more of a disappointment.

  • Trouble installing latest Intel Display Driver for Windows 7

Anyone else experiencing issues trying to install the latest Intel Display Driver for Windows 7, version 8.15.10.2057, dated 2 Mar 2010?
This is the second updated driver release that refuses to install due the following error while running setup.exe: This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.
I've verified compatibility and have disabled Switchable graphics and selected Integrated Graphics in the BIOS
    System: T400, 2764-CTO running Windows 7 (64-bit)
    Thanks...
    T400 2764CTO
    Windows 7 x64

    bwpotter,
Appears you selected the right .inf file for Win7/64. Notwithstanding the error flags, are you sure the driver did not install?
For WinXP/32, the equivalent file name is kit22686.inf. In the case of WinXP (likely similar for Vista and Win7), Lenovo's file-set will unpack to C:\drivers\WIN\DISPLAY2. The .inf file that appears in the Device Manager install-routine lives one level down, in C:\drivers\WIN\DISPLAY2\Graphics. Only one .inf file resides in this directory.
When forcing installation of the driver under WinXP, error messages appear that are similar (but not necessarily identical) to those you encountered. Still, after a sequence of five or six such error messages, the driver does load and can be verified after a reboot. (The new driver has performed to spec for the past several days--no issues whatsoever.)
The final splash screen in the series reports "Completing the Hardware Update Wizard." (This message does not, however, necessarily denote a successful installation.)
In the case of WinXP, the errors appear to be generated by the installer, igxpun.exe (v1.2.30.0). Note that the flaky display driver installation should generate an error log. Search for an error log file using the string "*appcompat.txt" (no quotes) and see what it says.
In the end, the problems with this package can be attributed to simple sloppiness (vendors commonly forget to eat their dog food) and should be quickly fixed if the community barks loudly.
    Hope this helps.

  • Satellite L10-190 - Display driver for Windows 7

    Hi,
reading the message below *I* *wonder about this anwer* from Toshiba support! Why *not* installing Win 7 on an "oldie"? I did the same and it works very well. But I have got the same problem as Assim. And everybody knows, that Intel has not the intention to allocate a Win 7-driver for this chip (INTEL 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics). In my opinion, this is not a correct behaviour.
I think either TOSHIBA or INTEL should allocate such a driver for their clients. This would be a minimum of support. Perhaps you think about...
    Best regards,

    Correct
    Hi
Im wondering that you installed Windows 7 on this oldie. In my opinion Windows XP would be the better choice but ok, you can do what you want ;)
Anyway, as far as I know your notebook is equipped with an Intel graphic card so I would recommend downloading the driver form Intel directly because the Toshiba website shows only Windows XP display drivers.

    Check this!!!

It is not so easy like you think. As you know hardware and software development goes together. With other words with new operating system there are new requirements for hardware and you can see on new notebooks sticker like Designed for WXP or Designed for Vista.
So now you and many other notebook users have old piece of hardware but want to use newest and latest software on it. OK I can understand it but can you understand that notebook manufacturer on some step must say: enough for old models. Who want to have newest stuff must also have newest hardware. Maybe sounds stupid now but for me it sounds logical.
The whole consumer products industry follows this logic I think.
You must also understand that support is not cheap and if you want to support old hardware with new operating systems you must have team of programmers who must design hundreds of drivers, tools and utilities and also many people who must test it before it comes to the customers. It is the army of people who are very expensive.
How the question is: is this rentable for the industry? To be honest I don't think so.

  • NVIDIA Optimus Display Driver for Windows 7 (64-bit) - ThinkPad

The display driver available at http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds029106 is advertised as being version 9.18.13.3302 / 8.15.10.2725, released on 5/20/2014, but what can really be downloaded from the URL (g5de45ww.exe) is actually a two-year old driver from 2012, version 9.17.10.2483 for Intel HD 4000. Does anyone know from where the current, up-to-date display driver for Intel HD 4000 in the T430 can be downloaded?

On lenovo blogs someone asked Russ Compton (lenovo employee) this question, see his reply below:-
"Q: Is this a software/driver update that can be applied to existing switchable graphics T410s models, or is there a hardware change which means it’s a feature of new “Optimus systems” only.
A: Amardeep, that is a good question. All ThinkPads shipping today will be Optimus enabled if running Win 7.. The current T410, T410s and T510 that are in the field will not be able to upgrade. The changes are the following: 1- Graphics Driver, 2- BIOS UPDATE 3- EEPROM Flash. So the hardware is not changing, but the upgrade to Optimus is not supported due to the EEPROM update that is required."

  • Tecra A2: WDDM / LDDM display driver for Windows Vista

I've searched on different sites for an AeroGlas compatible display driver for my Tecra A2. I'v haven't found anything on Intel or Toshiba sites. Is there a chance for such a driver??
    Thanks
    Sincerely
    Stefan

    Hi
    What is AeroGlas?
Is it a special application which is not compatible with the graphic driver?
Unfortunately, Toshiba recommend using own original graphic drivers because they are a little bit modified.
The graphic drivers support a overheating protection of the graphic cards.
If the temperature of the graphic card increases to the critical level the driver decreases the card performance.
However, if the Toshiba drivers and Intel graphic drivers doesnt work so I assume there is no much to do ;(

When I boot up Windows 7, after the Windows 7 logo my screen goes black. The computer is still on, I just can't see anything. I can access safe mode just fine.
If I disable the two Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Family drivers, I can get into Windows 7 however I can't use hibernate or sleep mode, and the highest resolution is 1280x800. I need a driver that works. Please help me.
I've downloaded all the drivers and tried them from Toshiba & Intel however none of them work

    Hi buddy,
Its not a good idea installing all drivers you can find. This could muddle up the operating system and cause such errors.
Usually the drivers provided on Toshiba page are always work. At the moment I would recommend removing all display drivers that you have installed now (you can do this in safe mode). Then restart your computer (also in safe mode) and run a registry cleaner like CCleaner to remove old registry keys. Restart again and now install the newest Toshiba display driver for your model.
Your model is listed on Toshiba US page:

  • Satellite L10 - Display driver for Windows 7

    Hi
I have a Satellite L10 and I need intel 82852/82855 display driver. I see support and download of Toshiba and intel web sit too there is not have any driver so what can I do?
Is there any way to update that?

    Hi
This notebook is pretty old so you will not get any Windows 7 drivers for it because its not Windows 7 supported as you can see here:
    http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9902P50000R01.htm
Of course you can install Windows 7 but you have to collect the drivers yourself.
Furthermore the most Vista drivers are also work on Windows 7. Have you tried Vista drivers from Toshiba supported page for Windows 7? Its worth a try! ;)

I upgrades the OS on my Toshiba Portege R200 to Windows 7
Tthe OS has determined my monitor as Generic, this does not allow multiple display settings.I think I need to replace the driver. Toshiba has no driver update for this model
Is there an equivalent either elsewhere or with toshiba under other models?

    Hey,
I agree with you, santhi_G. I have checked the Toshiba website for Portege R200 drivers and there are no drivers for Windows 7 or even Vista available. Only XP and Windows 2000 is supported. :(
I found out that Portege R200 has Intel graphic card so probably you can find a driver on Intel website directly. Its worth a try ;)

  • Satellite A100 (PSAA9E) - Can't install display driver for Windows 7

I have a problem with installing official Toshiba Windows 7 x32 ATI x1600 driver.
After unpacking it should install.exe be executed, I believe, but it's not; nothing happens. Going to Setup.exe with manual install, then I don't see Catalyst Control Center & Display Driver in the list, just Catalyst install Manager & vcredist. After installation these components (CCC & DD) are not present.
    Any ideas?
P.S. Same problem with official Toshiba Vista32 ATI x1600 driver.

    Hi mate,
Have you already installed other drivers for the notebook? I mean the chipset driver, this driver must be installed first.
And are you sure that you have ATI display driver? Some Satellite A100 models were delivered with nVidia graphic card as far as I know.
By the way, what happens if you install the driver manual in device manager via advanced installation?
