Intel i5-3230M normal temperature

HI everyone,
after three weeks of using my new pc HP 15-e059ek i have noticed an increasing of temperature wich is represented by an image below :
http://imgur.com/LbOGuEQ
the first week after bying the pc the temperature was around 33 degres then the second week it was around 36-37 then the third week its 42 degres, so my question is : it is really normal to have this progression of temperature especially the laptop is new ? and what is normal temperature for this kind of processor.
BTW diode PCH :65 degres is it normal also ?
Thanks for your help.

Echap.
It is getting hot!!!

  • HP Pavilion dv7-4083cl (w/ Intel Core i5 and ATI GPU): Which is its normal temperature?

    Hello,
I have a question about HP Pavilion dv7-4083cl (w/ Intel Core i5 and ATI GPU):
    Which is its normal temperature?
    Environment: 24 °C (Celcius)
HWMonitor and Real Temp agrees with the numbers find below.
The two CPU Cores starts at 37 °C and in about an hour are at 53 °C, with CPU usage under 10%.
The GPU starts at 34 °C and easly goes to 57 °C, with some peaks at 72 °C
    Regarding "Hewlett-Packard 144B": (under low/idle CPU usage)
TZ01: starts at 40 °C and very fast goes to 55 °C or 65 °C (and more, under CPU load)
PCH starts at 59 °C and very fast goes to 76 °C (and stays there)
GMCH: starts at 40 °C and very fast goes to 55 °C or 65 °C
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 (TMPIN0): Starts at 34 °C and easily goes and stays at 57-58 °C
Note: I'm also using a cooler (two fans, under its base)
If I run Real Temp (v. 3.6) "Sensor Test", the cores goes up to 100 °C , and even a bit more.
Which is the normal / expected behavior / operational range?
Steady PCH at 76 °C is it normal?
    TZ01, GMCH at 55 - 65 °C is it normal?
i5 Cores at 55 °C is it normal? (and easily going to 70 °C or more)
GPU (ATI) at 57 °C is it normal?
is it normal to climb up to 100-105 °C under a 5 minutes high CPU usage operation?
    Thanks!

i roll back to bios F.25 which is the older version of bios that support my device but still suffering from same D90 system overheating error.
i can't contact hp support or send it to offical hp center currently coz i am from Egypt and i live in far town

  • Normal Temperature for HP G42 (Intel I3 380M)

What is normal temperature for my laptop :
HP G42 (Intel I3-380M, 2.53Hz), Intel HD Series
    This question was solved.

The numbers you describe are high but not deadly high.
    Here are some online tips:
    http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/technology-blog/keep-laptop-cool-172740363.html
These suggestions are very generic. Try bending out a paperclip and sticking it in the grille to hold the blades. Then blow in some strong compressed air and see if dust flies out. If none of this works, it might help to open the laptop and manually clean out the fan area and reseat the fan/heatsink with new thermal paste. Post back if you want specific instructions on that. If the fan spins faster as the heat increases and then slows down as it cools off and makes no grinding or other weird noise it is probably OK.

  • Is my t420s running at a normal temperature?

I just purchased a used thinkpad t420s and I was wondering if it's overheating or running at the correct temperature. The CPU idles in the mid to low 50's (Celsius) and and will top out at 95 Celsius running prime 95. While running a virus scan and watching a YouTube video the chip is running in the high 80's. Is this normal? According to Intel, the max temp allowed is 100 Celsius. I have all of the power settings set for maximum performance. Here is a link to my chip http://ark.intel.com/products/52231/Intel-Core-i7-2620M-Processor-4M-Cache-up-to-3_40-GHz
I sould mention that using TPFC.63 I always crank the fan up higher then the bios will control them, So I'm guessing the teps are normal, because the bios would probably spool the fans to full power if the system was about to shut down from overheating.

    Hi Daniel250,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community!
As per the query we understood that you are facing the issue with System over heating on your ThinkPad T420s.
The normal temperature for CPU at 72 centigrade and GPU at 68 centigrade is in the safe temperature range.
If you feel that your laptop is warmer than usual, do clean the vents and fan via using a pump blower to remove the dust particles stuck in the vents and it also maybe with the thermal paste between your heat sink and the processor core may have been used up. You may consider getting some good thermal paste and apply over the processor core to ensure best heat transfer property
    Hope this helps.

  • Normal temperature for NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT

Hi, what is the normal temperature for NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT when on notebook I use only word, or some programs, no play games.

Quote from: Mike on 01-February-10, 11:02:34
normal depends on the environment, the ambient temperature.  Is it hot where you use it?  Do you use it on a hard surface or place it directly on your lap or some cloth type surface.  There are quite a number of variables.  What temperatures are you noticing?
if I work with word or use internet the temperature is about 55*C

  • Is this normal temperatures after 1 minute of gaming?

Hi HP. I just want to know if this is normal temperatures after about 1 minute of gaming?

    Hmmm that is odd.
I'll check my system for the speed of the GPU, but I believe it's ramping up.
Worst case is that the thermals are a bit off inside the system.
This could be a screw being a bit loose or missing altogether. (I'm sure the thermal grease is fine as that isn't done by hand. )
You can check this yourself, but the main problem is the rubber foot. Once it's off, it's not easy to get back on.

  • Why doesn't MBP return to its normal temperature after I turn off a heavy program?

Hello there, I've noticed that my new MacBook Pro runs at a very cool temperature while browsing websites and doing general activities.  After I open up one of my work programs such as After Effects, Nuke, Maya, it will start up to heat up considerably on the left top corner, which is to my expectations.  Now the problem here is that it does not cool down to its normal temperature after I have shut down all my work programs, the temperature remains as high as if the programs were still open and occupying CPU.  Can someone help me with this problem before I take my MBP to a Apple Store for a fix?
    Thanks lots!

You likely have a run away process from one of your third party programs that is not exiting or quitting, therefore hogging CPU cycles.
To determine this, reboot the machine, open your Activity Monitor and click "all processes" and sort by clicking on "CPU" this will make the processes taking the most cycles pop to the top.
now open your third party programs one at a time and get familiar with their processes, when you find the one process that appeared and taking huge CPU even after you've quit the program you have found your source.
Update this program or contact the developer for a explanation.
sometimes it will be a Apple process, which a OS X Overwrite should hopefully fix

  • How are "normal" temperatures on macbook air?

How are "normal" temperatures on macbook air?, because during gaming i have 90ºC+ (cpu) and 6500rmp (fan).
the macbook air is new (2 weeks), and have the last version of SMC (2.5f7)
the games are: Diablo 3, Killing floor, starcraft 2, and others. (on minimun settings)

Those games are highly likely to produce those conditions of the temp and fan speed. The Air is not a gaming rig, but still fairly usable with many popular titles. It will run warm though.

which is the normal temperature of operation of the a Macbook pro 13" 2.4 GHZ core duo i5 500GB hard disk? due to my laptop is very hot, arrives to 89º celcius, when I am playing a game and normal when I am internet, is of 63º to 73

That's too hot, for just Internet.
I can see if you just stopped playing a 3D game and then went to use the Internet you would get that sort of temps.
Try booting a cold machine, then only surfing the web, if you get 63-73 C temps, something is wrong, it should be 40-45 C.
The integrated graphics machines are hot, but yours seems too hot.
Perform a hardware check, if it says something, write it down and make a appointment

  • NOrmal Temperature and Fan Speed of MacBook Pro 13

Hi,what`s the Normal Temperature and Fan speed of MBP 13 during idle and when browsing or something?...please help..

The notional idle speed for the fan is 2000 rpm. If you turn it on you'll get about that and a temp of about 36 degrees in a cool room if you don't do anything. Opening a browser over wireless and say streaming a TV programme from the BBC will push the fan up to over 3000 rpm and the temp up to 60 degrees or so. Fan will drop to about 2400 rpm and temp to 53 degrees with gentle browsing.
Or that's what I get with a 2.53GHz 4GB memory machine. I took the 250GB disk out as it was noisy and put in a 120GB one that came from a Mac Mini so that may use a bit less power. (And the 2GHz Mac Mini has a rock solid 1500 rpm fan and rarely gets hotter than about 65 degrees - this has similar components to the Macbook Pro and so shows what a slightly bigger air access can do I guess).
The fan is rather faster and more noticeable than I was expecting with the Macbook, but the most noise came from the Toshiba disk which has now been banished to an external enclosure.

  • Normal temperature of a P4 2.533?

Any1 know what temperature the Intel P4 S-478 2.533 CPU should work at normally?
    saint

Athlonix, how can you possibly measure the core temp without removing the HSF (HeatSink + Fan)? I think you are measuring the wrong temp.
Anyway, my 2.0GHz p4 has a stressed temp of 44 degrees celsius with an ambient temp of 21. I use 2 case fans. 1 (enermax) 80mm outtake under the psu, and a (enermax) 120mm intake fan in the sideplate blowing towards the videocard/norhtbridge. both fans work at a quarter of fullspeed. O before I forget, I also use the intel retail cooler.
Before i used that 120mm fan in the side my stressed temp was 52 degrees, quite high. And mind that I have a very full case with quite some heaters, like a GF4 ti4600 and 2 7200rpm HDDs.
I suspect that either your airflow is crap even though you have 2 case fans or the HSF is poorly installed. If none of the above is the case (means: check it) buy a better cooler and/or install a fan in the sideplate blowing cool air directly towards the cpu.
If you don't trust yourself with that, try taking one of the casefans (or a third) and point it directly towards the cpu. Of course you should place/hold that fan as if it were mounted to the side plate. If that doesn't help, the HSF is poorly installed for sure.

  • What is the normal temperature for a MacBook Pro?

I have a mid 2010 2.4 ghz core i5 Macbook Pro. And i fell that the temperatures get really hot, i installed a application to check and the temperature of my machine is around 90 degrees Celsius after just using it for 15 mins and thats in higher RPM (4000 while default if 2000). Is that normal?

    I.ahuja,
“normal Web surfing” can be GPU-intensive; for example, watching videos is a GPU-intensive task.
Regarding the benefit, again, it depends on one’s typical use. If you run apps which are disk-bound, then replacing the HDD with a SSD would be of benefit.

  • What is a normal temperature for a PowerBook G4?

I've just installed the handy temp guage widget and I get readings of 110 degrees F for the disc and 150 degrees on the processor bottom side.... Seems pretty damm hot to me.
    Powerbook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.6)   1.67

What temp is the room the PB is in? I've seen where the room temperature goes into the mid-80's, that the normal PB 120's quickly gets into the 130's.
When it's running hot, have you looked at the activity monitor (on your hard drive in applications/utilities) to see if any program is causing the CPU to max out?
Have you run the Apple hardware test to ensure the fans are working? Insert the OS X DVD that came with your system (it will say in small print on the DVD AHT Version x.x), reboot holding the option key down, choose Apple hardware test, and follow directions. One of the tests specifically turns the fans on and off.
