Please try to read the suggestions you are given carefully. As I mentioned in my previous post, we do/did NOT need your serial number.
Thank you for the link to Intel's Developer page, for Intel Iris. But, I am able to do Google searches on my own.
Next, I am certainly no expert on this particular technology. But, from my reading so far, I have noted from the Intel Iris webpage, and repeated several times, is that this technology is supposed to be 'Built-In' to the applicable CPU-integrated GPU combinations.
Looking at the specs for your particular CPU-GPU combination, it would not appear, at least it is not mentioned at all, that Intel Iris is 'Built-In' to this combination. This is what the specifications link I found says you have:
Intel Core i5-3337U Processor, with Intel Graphics HD 4000
But it is also not mentioned in the CPU-GPU combination you say you have in your original post:
Intel Core i5-3427U Processor, with Intel Graphics HD 4000
Perhaps you would be better off asking about this on Intel's Graphics Forum.
Finally, despite whatever it is you want to do, and whether or not your CPU-GPU combo is Intel Iris capable or not, you should ONLY use Toshiba supplied display drivers and, for that matter, any hardware drivers.
Good luck.

  • Flickering black boxes on CS6 with Macbook Pro Intel Iris

I'm experiencing a flickering black box whenever using large brush sizes on Photoshop CS6 using a Macbook Pro (16GB RAM, 2.8 GHz i7, Intel Iris, Late 2013 13") similar to what is shown on: black flickering boxes on Vimeo.  The issue stops if you: Preferences -> Performance -> Uncheck "Use Graphics Processor."  I've contacted Apple Care multiple times and they say it is an Adobe issue.  I've attempted uninstalling/reinstalling CS6, resetting NVRAM and SMC, and verified CS6 and System settings are all up-to-date.  When booting in Safe Mode the issue is also resolved (as it appears Graphics Processor is disabled).  There appears to have been a similar issue on the 2013 Macbook Air that Apple released a fix for (MacBook Air (Mid 2013) Software Update 1.0) but I do not see anything regarding the Macbook Pro line.  Anyone experience/resolve this issue?

Professional engineers would look at the report, even if it happens in a single application, because usually that one application is just more commonly used and exposes an existing problem that is only occasionally seen in other applications.  (hint: the OS and video card drivers draw the cursor, not the application, so the driver and OS are responsible for drawing glitches with the cursor)
And for us to write up a bug for Apple, we need a reproducible case - but we can't reproduce it on our systems. Apple needs information about your system to see what specific GPU/CPU configuration is affected by this driver bug (and they have all the hardware variants to try it on).
And we have been testing for similar issues since the MacBookAir cursor bugs appeared - but haven't seen any after Apple's patch, despite testing on all the systems we have available (which is quite a few, but we can't have every single possible Macintosh configuration).

  • Mac book Pro and Intel Iris Graphics 6100 compatible with Adobe CC?

    Hi,
I want to buy 13 inch Macbook pro (http://store.apple.com/us/buy-mac/macbook-pro?product=MF840LL/A&step=config#) just wanted to ask if it's graphic card (Intel Iris Graphics 6100) is compatible with Adobe Creative Cloud program like Illustrator, Photoshop and After Effects.
I did not see it on this list: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/gpu-performance-preview-improvements.html
I have lots of problems with my current laptop (Lenovo)... menus freeze from time to time and Illustrator crashes a lot.
    Thanks

    it's possible, but unlikely.

  • MacBook Pro Retina 13 with Intel Iris graphics breaks Premiere Pro CC hardware output

    Hi all,
I just recently got a MacBook Pro 13 Retina, to use for basic editing as a secondary system to my iMac. The MacBook Pro sports a Intel Iris integrated graphics system. When I use GPU acceleration (Open CL), my Blackmagic or AJA Thunderbolt I/O outputs solid green. When I switch to software only, video plays back fine.
I'm running Premiere Pro CC 2014 on Mac OS 10.9.4. I've read that Adobe is now optimized for Intel Iris graphics using Open CL, but why is mine not working when using external video IO?
    Anyone run into this?

Does switching off Wifi make a difference?
In UK and USA (and quite a few other places) you have 14 days from purchase to get a refund or replacement - no questions asked.  If there is nothing running then this does sound to be depleting rather fast.  My late 2013 13" MBP retina gives me about 10 hours using Pages (several documents open) and e-mail only.
Get a replacement and see if you get the same problem.

  • Intel iris

Hi, I have macbook pro 13 retina. My memory of my intel iris change from 1536 mb to 1024 mb. I am really worried. It is normal?
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013)
Processer:   2.6 GHz Intel Core i5
    Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics : Intel Iris 1024 MB
    Storage : 256 SSD
MacBook Pro, OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

I believe the memory usage of the iris GPU  isn't a static number. If you're doing something more graphics intensive you'll be using more shared memory.

  • Which graphic card is best for running illustrator (an Intel Iris Pro or Nvedia)?

I am thinking on buying a new machine for carrying on my job. Uptill now i was working on windows with an iGPU and i was facing problems in rendering effects or generating previews in Adobe Illustrator. Now i am looking for a good dedicated GPU which can easily take its load. I do moderately heavy works (average file size 150mb).

No, its not a dedicated GPU. But still will it able to do the job? i am thinking of buying a 15" macbook.
The 15"retina version has these three options for graphics
    -Intel iris graphics
    -intel Iris pro graphics
-intel iris pro graphics + nvidia GeForce GT750m
The later two are kinda out of budget and i also think that these are way more than what i be actually needing. So, will Intel iris graphic be fine or i should look for some other machine (Dell or ASUS) with NVIDIA graphics since apple has no options for NVIDIA in lower versions.

  • Can After Effects work with an Intel Iris Pro chipset ?

    hello
    sorry for my english
i have a Mac Book Pro 2,3 Ghz, ssd 500 Go, 16 Go Ram, and graphic chipset Intel Iris Pro.
I want to work with After Effects, but i have a problem with 3D
    is it normal ?
thank you for your help (i want to be sure before buying After Effects)
    Franck

AE is mainly Open GL so yes it should work with the Iris Pro provided you have the latest driver. The only problem would be if Intel's driver did not include the Open GL version that Adobe is using.

  • Confusion In Intel Iris Graphics?

Hi, I am willing to buy a new Macbook Pro but I am having confusion in choosing. First of all I would like to know what is Intel Iris Graphics? This is in new retina macbooks and Intel Iris Pro Graphics is in 15 inch models, whats the difference? I want macbook pro with a graphics card because I develop Unity3D games and unity crashes because graphics memory is not enough in view port rendering. If I buy new 13 inch macbook pro with Intel Iris Graphics , will this problem be solved? Or I need to buy macbook pro with external graphics card such as that of NVdia? Thanks.

Intel Iris is the new integrated GPU included in the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display, and it provides better performance than older Intel graphic cards.
Instead, the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display includes a slightly better Intel Iris Pro GPU. Both GPUs have got 1 GB of video memory, but if you need the best performance for your apps, go for the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display, which also comes with a NVIDIA GPU that will provide you the best performance

  • ?intel iris drivers on macbook pro retina 15" 2014

hi all, i need help i'm lost
it's been 3 days trying to install the intel iris graphic card drivers for the iris 5200 that is shipped with nvidia 750m on the macbook pro 15" retina 2014 and i'm not able to install the drivers.
i installed the preview version of win10 and i rolled back to the preview version of 8.1 both 64bit
and there is something weird, because my bootcamp is only able to install a preview windows version, even having a pro version with product key of 8.1, at the end of the installation, windows say that the changes on my computer can't be saved, so no working windows 8.1 pro
as you are aware, bootcamp download the intelLegacyHdGraphics64.exe together with all other drivers like the nvidia one.. but only the iris drivers will be not installed. the error message is always the same: this computer does not meet the minimum requirement for installing the software.
so, i went to intel site and i downloaded all available drivers, the intel SDK for ocl applications... 2014.exe, the "opencl runtime 14.2x64. package.. installed correctly.
what i'm not able to install are all drivers i could find on the site for the iris.
    Intel® Download Center
but i'm getting always this message: this computer does not meet the minimum requirement for installing the software.
the nvidia 750 works as expected, and i did try everything to install the iris drivers.
i also tried to uninstal the nvidia drivers also using the device manager, not just simply disabling it.
and after booting again.. the iris is not listed in the device manager, just the microsoft default display. and trying to install the drivers manually failed too, but that was expectable since there is no intel iris menu from which to pick manually the drivers.
if i try to install using the compatibility tool i get the message that the os is not supported
    I'm lost lost lost
did someone try to install them? maybe had luck under a win7? or it is a lost war?

I Want to use luxrender and luxmark on windows too
the benchmark score of the iris 5200 in osx mode is 4880 while the score of the nvidia is 900/1100
that is a huge difference in speed
I am unable to search http://www.luxrender.net/luxmark/ for benchmark data. Is there another way to get to these numbers? If you use the nVidia that is currently exposed to windows, do you run into any issues for Rendering?
Edited: on my acer running win7, i disabled the intel graphic card for the sake of Nvidia 330m from bios, and it works
this should be possible in win 8.1 too? as i know those setting aren't anymore available as bios mode.
is there a way to unhide the iris 5200 and permanently disabling the nvidia 750 in windows?
You may want to start by looking http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1658931.
btw maybe you can answer to this. Running luxmark in yosemite, when i benchmark using cpu, iris, or cpu+ iris the fun becomes noisy as it should, but if i benchmark just the nvidia card the fun doesn't start. and this should be not normal at all.
This seems to be normal behavior from my experience. The integrated GPU (CPU+Iris) produces much more heat than the discrete nVidia. If you do not have a case on your MBP, put your palm on the bottom panel, and run both tests. You can also use something like iStat to look at the temperatures of various components while running tests.

  • Is the Intel Iris Pro in the new 15" rMBP sufficient for my needs?

Greetings all! Long time reader, first time poster here
I've been holding off purchasing a new machine until the new rMBP models were released, and...here they are finally!
My goal here is to find out if the integrated GPU (15" rMBP) is going to be good enough for my usage pattern, versus spending the extra money and getting the model with the GeForce GT 750m GPU. I work as a Web Developer primarily; with some iOS/Android dev on the side (xCode & Eclipse mainly). Photoshop use is a daily occurance, but I don't do anything overly technical with it...mainly just chopping up PSD's for front-end web dev.
The reason i'm curious about the GPU is because of the light gaming I plan on doing. I plan on selling off my current MBP(2010) and also getting rid of my windows desktop that is used solely for gaming. The only games I play, and the only ones I will be playing for the forseeable future are World of Warcraft and some Diablo 3 perhaps. I'm not expecting top tier performance, i'm not expecting it rival the graphics performance of my desktop. Will I lose graphics power if I choose the entry level model that was just released today, when compared to the entry level 15" rMBP that has been on the market up until now? If so, is the difference negligible? I'm 100% on board for the Crystalwell processor, so I need to make sure that I get enough GPU power for my WoW addiction ^_^
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks a ton!
    ~Steve

WoW and D3 should run very well with the integrated Intel Iris Pro 5200 (rMBP 15")...:

  • Intel Iris Pro on a mac mini?

    Hello to everyone,
well I suppose that Apple is going to replace all intel 4000 GPU with the Intel Iris Pro. Is there any information about using this hardware in mac mini too? Is there any official anouncement about that? This Iris Pro is sharing the CPU or is it a part of it? Does this GPU has any GDDR5 VRAM or it is using the DDR3 main system RAM? Does this Iris Pro gives better results than a seperately GPU with even 512MB GDDR5 memory?

Iris and Iris Pro are the integrated graphics that come with
the Haswell series processors.  It is not a "seperate" option.
As far as the performance and architecture of Iris or Iris Pro,
Google and after the first few hits you should understand how it
    works.
As to what will be in the next gen Mini and when it will be released,
only the insiders at Apple know that and they can't talk.
I will say that the Mini has had the same form factor for quite a
while, so maybe there will be a complete make over.
