Intel My wifi technology adapter not found

Hello ! I got problem.
Some days ago my wifi worked fine until now .Now i got error like this: adapter not found. Can't access wifi anymore. I think my drivers are updated, i had downloaded the latest from your site. I tried format, but that didn't help too, system restore didn't help, unistalling old drivers and installing new drivers didn't help. But sometimes it will find my wireless connections and it will work fine, but sometimes it's gone.  Currently i'm connected with cable. I have tried many solutions but none of them have helped me. Can you answer what to do?

NikuNikkur,
In device manager, network adapters, Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter.
Make sure the box is checked, allow computer to turn off this device to save power. If the box is unchecked, the My WiFi Adapter will go missing.

  • Error Message " Unable to start Intel My WiFi Technology"

Setup: Lenovo W520 on Windows 7 Pro
After Lenovo Software Update, the Intel WiDi was updated.
Then I run the program " Intel WiDi". I received an Error Message " Unable to start Intel My WiFi Technology"
I try to troubleshoot and did the following
    1. Uninstall WiDi in the "Control Panel". However, i received an error message from Windows Installer --"Error opening installation log file. Verify that the specified log file location exists and is writable"
Any suggestions on how to reinstall the Intel WiDi

Did resolve it also! But NOT with the LENOVO UPDATE!!!
Take a look at this Intel webpage:
    http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wtech/iwd/sb/CS-031109.htm
it describes what we must do to get it running!
    1. I did download the new PROSET WiFi and the WiDi driver
    2. deinstall the WIDI and PROSET Wireless drivers from LENOVO
    3. then intall the new drivers from INTEL in the order described above!

  • AppleTV and Intel My WiFi Technology + Airplay Issues

I am using a Samsung laptop and iPhone 4S and iPad Generation 3 with my Home Sharing.  All home sharing is turned on and I have WEP 2 Personal security. How to get AppleTV to work with Intel My Wifi Technology? Does bluetooth has any part of the mirroring?  My iPad shows the TV present to make the configuration, but then disappears once configured.

    Howdy mcm145,
It sounds like there’s an issue getting your Apple TV connected to your Wi-Fi network and setting up Home Sharing. Take a look at the articles linked below, the first article will help you resolve the Wi-Fi connection issue and the second article will walk you through the process of setting up Home Sharing for your Apple TV.

  • BDP-S390 Wireless Adapter not found

I purchsaed my BDP-S390 2 days ago and the internet was working perfectly, then this morning when I tried to use it, it wasn't working (getting unable to connect) so I reset the Network settings and tried setting up the adapter again (my wireless is working fine on my laptop and smart phone) and now I'm getting an error message saying that the Wireless LAN Adapter can't be found and to check the devices USB port, but the adapter is built-in.  I've reset the Network settings (and the device) a couple of times and it doesn't fix it, anything else I can try? Thanks.

I have updated my BDP-S390 to the latest firmware (via burning a CD from downloaded file), and still get the message about "USB Wireless LAN Adapter not found".  Somewhere in this forum, advice was given to then restore the unit to factory settings, which I did, but I still get the error message.    Call to telephone support said that means the built-in LAN adapter is broken, and I have 3 choices: 1. Send the unit in for repair (a lot of trouble, and I'd have to pay since it's more than a year old).2. Buy a USB LAN adapter (I have to purchase).3. Hardwire the unit to my internet gateway with an ethernet cable (impractical, since in different part of house). I find it completely unacceptable that my unit suddenly stopped working like this.   I find it unbelievable that there was an actual hardware failure within my unit, since so many people report the same failure (or if it is, it's a systemic failure that Sony should fix for free, else supply the USB adapter).   I suppose I will try option #2 above (purchase a USB LAN adapter), since Amazon has one for $10 or so: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008IFXQFU?refRID=1Q425HCH8G6TCNENYT80&ref_=pd_cart_vw_2_1_p Maybe it will work. Meanwhile, I will not be purchasing any more Sony A/V products, and I will advise my friends (including Facebook pretend "friends") of the same (I'm asked a lot, since I am a computer/electrical engineer).   Pretty ****** to anger people like this, since I'd have been satisfied if they sent me the USB LAN Adapter, and I'm sure they can source 'em for a lot less than $10.

  • Satellite C855 Wifi Adapter not found

I saw simliar posts but I still have not found the answer I am looking for. I have a C855 which was a best buy about 5 months ago. About 3 weeks ago, the wifi started to disconnect without warning. All my other 6 wifi connections (tv's and other devices) work fine to this day. It was tough to get restarted but eventually I did. (I could not tell you what I did, it seemed to have a mind of its own). About two weeks ago, the Realtek adapter quit showing up in device manager. I am thinking it is a hardware probelem. I don't recall any updates and my anti-virus was uptodate. I took it to my geek and they tried to update and troubleshoot it through the ethernet connection which works well. Their diagnosis was a software problem and suggested I "refresh" my computer. If it did not work, then diagnosis started at $199. I paid $350 for the computer. Of course, I refreshed it and nothing changed. Any suggestions before I go back to a Dell?

  • Connecting an iPhone 4 to Intel My WiFi Technology

I have a new Dell computer that has Intel's 'My WiFi Technology' installed. This is supposed to allow  wireless devices to connect  to the internet via the laptop. To add a device - such as my iPhone  - the program has three options: (1) WiFi Protected Setup PIN configuration, (2) WiFi Protected Setup push button configuration, or (3) manual configuration.
My question is two-fold: does my iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1 support either of the first two options, and if so, how.
If not, does anybody have an easy way to get the INCREDIBLY long and convoluted password phrase required by My WiFi Technology  into the  iPhone for a manual configuration.

Go to the Intel My Wifi Utility on your laptop
    Click Profiles
    Click New
Enter a name for the profile (mydell, whatever..)
Enter a new network name for the SSID (again, something like mydell, mylaptop..)
    Click the Security tab
    Ensure security type is: WPA...
Select the long Wireless Security Password string and press backspace to delete.
Enter a password (8 characters is the minimum I believe,.... such as mydellpassword1, or something)
    Click OK
    Click Close
On your iPhone, go to Settings>General>Network
Select Other and you should see that your mydell is offered as a connection.
Select it and enter the password you created  in step 9 (such as mydellpassword1)

  • Intel 5150 WiFi/WiMax Adapter doesnt work with 7?

I've tried everything. I've spent hours on Intel's site, and let me just say that was an absoulte joke. You have to search deep into their search thing to find the windows 7 driver for it. Then it doesn't work.
I've been to Dell's website (I'm running a Dell Studio XPS 16) and I can download it, but then I get an error saying I cannot downgrade versions.
The computer recognizes the WiMax portion, but not as WiMax. It just says there is an error with "The WiMax adapter" but it doesn't actually know what it is. Same run around with the drivers in this case as well. The WiFi light on the front of the computer does not come on. My bluetooth one does, but not the WiFi. I've tried switching in on and off with no luck as well.
So far Intel and Microsoft, I'm not impressed. Looks like my desktop will be staying XP and it's a good thing I added this as a second OS to my laptop because it sure won't last long with me hunched under the desk like this to get internet. Can anyone help me out?

Hi, Thanks for the reply Nano Warp.
Believe me, I have tried absolutely EVERYTHING to get my wifi card working.
Thank you for assuming that I didn't take the '10 seconds' to 'do my research and preparation' before installing 7. I have spent literally MONTHS trying to figure out what is wrong with this. Because you jumped to such a quick conclusion on a couple short posts from me, I'll explain it all and maybe, just maybe I can get it resolved.
July 09: Ordered my new oh-so-special laptop for college. I got it and aside from the occasional glitch, and my dislike toward vista (for reasons I won't go into now) it did what I needed except for the WiFi which has some SERIOUS issues. I spend hours on the phone and with Dell's live support trying to resolve it with no luck. Decided I would just suck it up, and hope to god I didn't lose/need internet when working on some of my assignments.
October 09: Got a hold of my very own copy of 7 and installed it in another partition on my HDD. It worked 100000X better than vista, except for the WiFi card, which it did not recognize. At all. I DID search Intel's website and downloaded, uninstalled, and reinstalled anything and everything I thought might just give me a shot at having WiFi in 7...currently the only reason I was still mainly using Vista was due to the lack of WiFi.
November 09: After WEEKS of searching for why I had no WiFi I posted this. I ordered my Intel 5300 card within the hour. Took several months and after placing three more orders with different companies I did get it ONE.
December 09: Windows Vista takes a complete and utter DUMP on me. I lost everything. School work, photos, emails. EVERYTHING. Thankfully, I had a trusty desktop running XP that I had *most* of my data backed up on.
January 2010: It's now winter break and I am between semesters. I REALLY need my laptop for internet use in my psych class for the second semester, as everything is done through the computer/internet. Tests, homework, assignment, etc. The Intel 5300 card did NOT work. At ALL. Went through the same process with the 5300 card. Even tried the second card that showed up at my door. Must have been one of the other two that I never received. Still nothing. Then again with the 5150 card. nothing. nada. squat.
It is now nearing the end of March 2010...FIVE MONTHS after installing 7 and dealing with this Intel/7 driver issue with no luck. I've tried everything from Vista drivers, 7 drivers, contacting Dell, contacting Intel, posting on message boards, forums and everything short of dropping an ___LOAD of money into this computer to get something as simple as WiFi to work. Nothing.
Currently, I am hassling and jumping between computers at home/school/library to stay on top of my psych class, and my less than a year old, $2,000 laptop is sitting in the corner collecting dust. So if you would like to say I'm dumping on 7, please let me know, and if you still feel I didn't take the '10 seconds total' to 'get there and find' what I was looking for, then by all means, let me know. At least this time you won't ASSUME, and make an ____ out of U and ME. Get it. Spells assume. ha-ha. funny funny.
If there was a "Vote as UNHELPFUL" button for your post. I WOULD HAVE PRESSED IT.
    Thanks for your help,

  • HP Pavilion dv6-3043ee Realtek Network Adapter not found in Device Manager

Hi I own an HP Pavilion dv6-3043ee, 64bit and running Windows 7. And somehow the network adapter for the LAN got uninstalled for some reason. Now after posting something on the site I finally downloaded the driver for my laptop.
Now another problem, after or at the end of the installation process a pop up message was shown:
"The Realtek Network Controller was not found,
If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable."
Now I checked Device Manager to see if the Realtek Network Adapter was there but it wasn't. All I can see are:
    -Atheros AR9285 802.11b/g/n Wifi Adapter
    -Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)
    -Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocl TDI)
    -TAP-Windows Adapter V9
    Someone please help. Thank you.

If device is identified but there is no driver for it, it will be appeared as unknown device in Device Manager with question mark icon (?), are you seeing such thing in device manager?
If not, you should refer to your PC manufacturer's website and download.
Make sure report this issue using Feedback App.

I doubt seriously that dilburt was questioning your pc building prowess. Many suggestions are given generic as the build skills & knowledge of many posters is not known. Your other comments are non productive. Presume the I/O plate is not causing a problem, & has the port itself been closely examined for any damage?
No I wasn't questioning or accusing him of questioning my ability... merely that I know what I'm doing. Much of the advice has been responses suggesting things I already mentioned in my first post.
I will try the rear I/O panel and reset that as well.

  • Intel Rapid Start Technology does not appear to be installed

How do I get rid of this message?
    It's an HP Envy dv7 Notebook, D0X38EA#ABU
I haven't upgraded any part of the hardware - it's  configured as it came out of the box. It's running Win 8.1
I have looked through the forum and downloaded manuals and it all gets extremely technical very quickly.  So I downloaded a driver from intel and it says "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software".
I am just a simple user. I can guess that the Intel thing will make the computer boot faster. That would be nice but I'm not qualified to start faffing around in the BIOS. Nor do I want to be.
Please just tell me how to make the message go away. It's annoying.

hi guys, I successfully updated my nokia c3 through wifi to the latest version 4.60, although I'm currently having a chat problem, when I try to open it, it says "Application not found".
What would be the best thing to do? I already tried to restore factory settings. Thanks!

You u need to 1st BACKUP EVERYTHING
    then perform the Firmware Upgrade
then RESTORE your packed up Programs and Data ...
or just goto the Ovi store and find some free chat apps and reinstal them,
its cheaper to paste the links it sends your mobile into your phones browswer and surf using Wifi Connection to download apps and themes. good luck

  • Bridging "Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter" not possible

Trying to bridge an "Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter" is not possible. There is
no such menu entry in "Network connections" context menu of the specified virtual adapter. Why? It absolutely make no sense why this shouldn't work. Is there any workaround to make this virtual adapter part of a bridge?
There was a suggestion using "bindbridge" tool, however I wasn't able to make it working.

    Hi,
Why do you want to bridge an Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter? To share your network with other computers, please right click on the virtual adapter, select properties, and share an existing Internet connection with it. If you want to bridge to virtual
