  • Windows reports that the "USB-IF xHCI USB Host Controller" device is not working properly.

I have been receiving the following error and instructions to fix it for a long time now, prior to updating to Windows 8.1:
A device is not working properly
Windows reports that the "USB-IF xHCI USB Host Controller" device is not working properly.
Recommended solution to the problemUse Windows Update to check whether new device drivers are available. Proceed as follows:
    Open Device Manager
Search in the device manager for the device whose driver you would like to update and double-click on the device name. You may first have to enable the "Show hidden devices" entry in the "View" menu.
Switch to the Driver tab, click Update driver and follow the instructions
When I follow the instructions and try to update the driver, I am told "The best driver software for your device is already installed."
How do I update the driver to stop receiving the error?

  • DV6-1230us Intell 4 Series Express Chipset Family Driver Update

    Hello,
I am looking for an updated driver I can download for my Intell 4 Series Express Chipset Family. I started having an issue with being able to edit my GoPro videos with GoPro Cinform studio on my laptop. After contacting GoPro and working through several recomendations nothing seemed to fix the issue so they suggested I download the most current driver. However there lies the problem, because the most current driver on the site is from 2009. Is there a more up to date driver I can download and use?
    Please help,
    David

Hi The intel chipset update manager refuses to do the update due to not accepted by the laptop mfgr (hp).
My original trouble is also with GoPro Studio 2, wherein part of the EDIT function screen, the storyboard panel, is missing and cannot be displayed, even with a pre-canned template.
Here is the output from dxdiag: (regret the verbose output)

  • Usb pci1033,e0 Enhanced Host Controller G5 PowerPC 1.8GHz

    Hi every one
need help to sort this silly problem out
We have a PowerPC G5 1.8 duel fitted with 8GB ram - everything works great until I ftted this USB PCI card
We have just fitted a PCI card into it:
usb pci1033,e0 Enhanced Host Controller (into slot 2)
When I look at mac info it say:
    Card                                                       Type
    Driver Intalled
pci1033,e0                                              USB Enhanced Host Controller               YES
but under neath type it says:
    Card                                                       Type
    Driver Intalled
    usb                                                          usb                                                            No
    usb                                                          usb                                                            No
Now since this PCI card has been fitted - The PowerPC G5 mac will not go to sleep or even shut down.
I have ran the CONSOLE - and cleared the cash prior to asking it to go to sleep and it, when I leave it for 5 munites and move mouse the screen comes back on it says
    PROBLEM:
mac will not go to sleep - will not shut down - just says on all night !!!!
    The Console gives me this
    Anyone know the answer:
    would be very much appricated
    thanks

    Anyone know the answer:
    Remove the offending PCI card.
If it is a USB 2.0 PCI controller make sure it has the NEC chipset.
ALI or VIA chipset cards will always cause problems.
NEC chipsets are natively supported in 10.4.3 and onward.
Do NOT install third party USB drivers. Most all cause incompatibilities.
Read more about USB 2.0 PCI cards in PPC Macs:
    B8B574BC-BB45-4B3E-9D9B-F97EBB3230BC.html
If it is a USB 3.0 PCI card, forget it. There is no support in PPC Macs.

  • T430S device manager: USB-IF x HCI USB host controller is not working properly

    Hi ,
How to change get ride off the exclamatory mark on this device:
    Problem:
Device manger Intel WiUSB: USB IF x HCI USB Host Controller always has the exclamartory mark on it.
Device status: This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)
    Pls help, thanks.

    Hey there wche5,
I found some information over on this thread may be beneficial to your situation. This controller enables USB over wireless as part of the Intel (WiDi) Wireless Display function. To obtain a fix you will need to go to the Intel Site, and run the Intel Driver Update Utility. This should identify any Intel drivers you have that are out of date, including the WiDi driver.
Other threads on the forums point directly to this driver by Intel that typically resolves the problem, found on this thread at the end.
I hope this able to assist you in getting a solution to your issue, Thank You wche5!

  • The Connect from Intel Pro/1000 T to 1000base-t Port on Catalyst 4000 (WS-X4412-2GB-T= module) Not Working Properly

The connect from Intel Pro/1000 T to 1000base-t port on Catalyst 4000 (WS-X4412-2GB-T= module) is not working properly. The Intel Pro/1000 T NIC connects to a 10/100 OK. Auto-negotiation is set at both ends. We can successfully ping across the link. However performance is so poor as to make the connection unusable.

When an Intel Pro/1000 T NIC is connected to a Catalyst switch, the customer may see poor network connections or excessive numbers of dropped packets. The problem arises when a module with a TBI interface transmits an odd byte packet to a receiver with a Gigabit Media Independent Interface (GMII).
The interoperability issue is a result of the implementation of Carrier Extension. Carrier Extension is detailed in sub section 35.2.3.5 in the IEEE 802.3 specification. Carrier Extension can be used to pad the last byte of a packet, so the packet is aligned on an even numbered boundary.

    Multiauthentication Mode
Available in Cisco IOS Release 12.2(33)SXI and later releases, multiauthentication (multiauth) mode allows one 802.1X/MAB client on the voice VLAN and multiple authenticated 802.1X/MAB/webauth clients on the data VLAN. When a hub or access point is connected to an 802.1X port (as shown in Figure 60-5), multiauth mode provides enhanced security over the multiple-hosts mode by requiring authentication of each connected client. For non-802.1X devices, MAB or web-based authentication can be used as the fallback method for individual host authentications, which allows different hosts to be authenticated through different methods on a single port.
Multiauth also supports MDA functionality on the voice VLAN by assigning authenticated devices to either a data or voice VLAN depending on the data that the VSAs received from the authentication server.
Release 12.2(33)SXJ and later releases support the assignment of a RADIUS server-supplied VLAN in multiauth mode, by using the existing commands and when these conditions occur:
•The host is the first host authorized on the port, and the RADIUS server supplies VLAN information.
•Subsequent hosts are authorized with a VLAN that matches the operational VLAN.
•A host is authorized on the port with no VLAN assignment, and subsequent hosts either have no VLAN assignment, or their VLAN information matches the operational VLAN.
•The first host authorized on the port has a group VLAN assignment, and subsequent hosts either have no VLAN assignment, or their group VLAN matches the group VLAN on the port. Subsequent hosts must use the same VLAN from the VLAN group as the first host. If a VLAN list is used, all hosts are subject to the conditions specified in the VLAN list.
•After a VLAN is assigned to a host on the port, subsequent hosts must have matching VLAN information or be denied access to the port.
•The behavior of the critical-auth VLAN is not changed for multiauth mode. When a host tries to authenticate and the server is not reachable, all authorized hosts are reinitialized in the configured VLAN.
    NOTE :
•Only one voice VLAN is supported on a multiauth port.
•You cannot configure a guest VLAN or an auth-fail VLAN in multiauth mode.

  • Host admin page does not work after insatlling YAST for suse9

I am using 10205 grid and when I try to go to admin tab in grid it say YAST patch needs to be installed which I did but still it does not work.
Anyone having same issue and how to resolve this. I also followed the metaling note for this issue which was a workaround for a bug but still it did not work.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

I clicked on the link that was provided on the GC host admin page and downloaded the patch and as root applied it to the server without any errors. The following are the steps:
When I go the host page then administration tab it says the following:
Install the SUSE patch for YAST from http://oss.oracle.com/projects/yast
    Downloaded the patch yast-EM-1.7.0-0.1.noarch.rpm
I've installed the patch and restarted the agent and the permissions on all the files are set to 755 according to note
    414438.1
after applying the YAST patch I clicked finish and nothing happens. I've restarted ther OMS as well but no effect. I was wondering if anyone else having the issue?

  • Enhanced dictation 10.9.4 Not working

Enhanced dictation 10.9.4 stopped working after two days. Just installed this OS update. Regular works, but not offline. Tried restarting, turning on/off--nothing works.
Ideas, or is it just a buggy, useless program?

What model is your Mac? It needs to be from 2011 or later. Go to About This Mac then select 'more info' if unsure. If your hardware is too old you can use a 3rd party program like Airparrot.
Bear in mind, DVD's are blocked from mirroring due to copyright so it's best to connect a DVD player if that's your only intended purpose.

  • Enhance Timing/Align to Slider not working

I can't get my "Enhance Timing/Align to" slider to work. It is white - not blue. Even after I perform a quantization in a MIDI track and the notes snap to grid, it won't work. From what I understand, I should be able to move the slider at this point so that I can adjust how much quantization actually happens.

  • Enhancing 0FI_GL_4  - ABAP code is NOT working -  URGENT PLEASE ???

    Hi all,
I want to enhance 0FI_GL_4 extractor with CHECT, RWBTR & PRIDT from PAYR table if VBELN of 0FI_GL_4  is not BLANK, with the following conditions:
1.Load all the records of PAYRQ table into PAYRQ internal table LT_PAYRQ
with matching BELNR, AUGBL & BUKRS from I_DTFIGL_4 internal table.
2.Load all the records of PAYR table into PAYR internal table LT_PAYR
with matching AUGBL & BUKRS from LT_PAYRQ internal table.
3.Read PAYR internal table LT_PAYR with matching BELNR (from I_DTFIGL_4
internal table) and fill the new fields  CHECT, RWBTR & PRIDT.
The following the is ABAP code, but it is NOT working:
DATA:I_DTFIGL_4 LIKE DTFIGL_4 OCCURS 0 WITH HEADER LINE,
         L_TABIX LIKE SY-TABIX.
    DATA: BEGIN OF LS_PAYRQ,

          ENDIF.
        ENDLOOP.
Could you please find the problem with above ABAP code and correct it.
Since I want to enhance it,  if VBELN is not Blank and do I have to move the IF condition (I_DTFIGL_4-VBELN IS INITIAL) to another location for better performance.
    Thanks,
    Venkat..

    Dear Gajesh,
Please accept my thanks for your Spontaneous reply.
Selection Screen data is given below.
    1 --> Material Number
    2 --> Inspection Lot Number
3 --> Date of Lot Creation
    4--> Inspection Type
Normally the clint will give the Inspection Type ie 4th input and Date of Lot creation ie 3rd Input (Range of Date).
    Please do the needful.

  • Network card: e1000g (Intel PRO/1000 MT) did not working properly

    Hi to everyone!
    I'm having some strange trouble.
All computers attached to one DLink gigabit switch
    Server #1:
nf4-based motherboard, Intel PRO/1000 MT net card, onboard net card (forcedeth driver used) Ubuntu Linux 2.6.25 kernel version.
    All just working.
    Server #2:
nf6-based motherboard, same Intel net card, SunOS 5.11 snv_86.
    All just working.
    Server #3:
Same as server's #1 nf4-based motherboard. Same onboard card. Same SunOS 5.11 snv_86 as server #2 have installed.
    Its work. BUT..
Intel card is not working as expected.
It is seen by system. It is properly up and running. It is sending packent and receiving packets. Ierrs=Oerrs=Collis=Queue=0.
But thru e1000g0 interface no one computer can reach this one, and from server #3 no one computer is seen thru e1000g0. Exept...
Except two old Sunray1 devices (attached to the same switch for testing purposes)! But even these devices seen only by arp requests, and is not pingable.
It is some mistery, but if I turn on jubmo frames, these rays got a picture from SRSS, testing on this sevrer! Not for long, heh, they hung up fast, but this is proof a physical connection :)
So, I can not disable onboard network card on Server #3 - server becoming unreachable :(
I know, those network cards must work on Solaris - as they did it on server #2. I know, those network cards work with my nf4-based motherboards - as they did it on server #1.
But I can't uderstand, whait is going on with e1000g driver on server #3!
P.S. Kernel driver e1000g settings are the same. All difference from servers #2 and #3 is: #2 had Intel netcard installed then Solaris was setting up, and #3 had Intel netcard installed later. All netcards are working (I trying to swap them from one computer to another - did not change anything).

*) #3 thinks it is sending, but a NIC/driver error prevents it.NIC is fully health. It is tested on another PC. Driver error - or driver's bad implementation - is the one I'm thinking.
*) #3 has a bad transmit pair of wires (would affect all communication)This patchcord works w/o problems on other PCs and even on onboard NIC of server #3.
    *) Network problemsHeh :)
*) Firewall or other device is dropping the ARP repliesIt is some very stealthy and very selective firewall, affecting only external NICs :)
BTW, then cord is attached to NIC, it sends "who has this IP" requests, asking to be shure there will not be an IP conflict. No one seen this requests.
*) #1 has a NIC/driver error preventing it from seeing the reply.Only for send from #3? It is like a firewall on #3 :) And, there is more PCs, not only #1-#3. No one can see #3's replays (or asks), not only #1..
I'm repeating: this PC works in network now on onboard NIC w/o problems. But onboard NIC is only 100 Mb/s, and we need 1 Gb/s.
I was thinking, Solaris took wrong MAC for NICs - but not, ifconfig shows the same MACs as marked on NICs.
Even more, yesterday i plumbed e1000g1 - second Intel NIC in server #3. And I was surprised - it worked perfectly!
But I make "touch /reconfigure; init 6" - and after reboot, no one of two Intel NICs working again :( They both have the same behavior - no one can see packets they sends.)
I even try to restrict connection on 100 Mb/s by driver's .conf modify - it works, link become yellow instead of green (take a note, NIC is able to "speak" properly with switch!), but all other stay the same.
Strange, really strange behavior. More strange is a fact this NICs work on another instance of same SunOS, but on different motherboard, while the same MB with same NIC is working w/o problems under Ubuntu. Looks like some bug in Solaris driver.

  • Webmail worked, Enabled virtual host, now Webmail does not work! HELP!

Hey all, hope this is an easy one. I had mail, and webmail up and running for my main domain. www.example.com. and mail.example.com. I enabled virtual hosting under mail and added the local host alias for my second domain. www.example2.com. Users can now receive email sent to [email protected] Sounds good right. Well now my webmail server does not work, and whats worse is it brings up a list of the directory!!! Any ideas on how to get that back up?

ok, I changed the default index file to index.php, and now I can bring it up and login, but get an error where the folder list usually is...
