Intel Trusted Execution Engine Interface has a Code 10 error.

When I open Device Manager I get a yellow triangle on the Intel Trusted Execution Engine Interface. I open it and it says 
This device cannot start. (Code 10) STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE. I have tried uninstalling it and updated all drivers. I don't know what else to do so it will be awesome if anyone can help me out here.

OK...
Let's try manually installing the driver.
First, go to the Intel TXE driver folder you unzipped and open that folder.
Inside that folder there is another zipped driver folder (KMDF whatever).  Unzip that one. Let it extract inside the other folder.
Go to the device manager and click on the problem TXE device.
Then click on the driver tab.
Click on Update Driver.
Select the browse my computer for driver software option and then at the bottom of that window, select the Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
Select Have Disk and browse to:  unzipped Intel TXE driver folder\unzipped inner folder\KMDF_NO_RTD3_DRIVER\KMDF_NO_RTD3_DRIVER\NO_RTD3_DRIVER\release\x64\TXEI, and select the Intel(R) Trusted Execution Engine Interface device from the list and see if the driver installs that way.

    It seems your machine has motherboard with Intel chips. And this problem occurs if you install a driver via Windows Update. You could try to upgrade the latest version driver from Intel, then this problem would be solved. Here is some information about Intel

    HP G62 Notebook PC running 8 Gig of Memory and Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
    Get message in Device Manager of this device failing to start.   with code 0000000A.  Have done Bios upgrade and checked for latest driver and the system tells me I have it already, yet this error still persists.

  • R700 Trusted Execution Technology - disabling of.

    Ok, I'm stumped.
    I have a R700 and in the BIOS the 'Trusted Execution Technology option has been enabled.
    This seems to mean I can't change my TPM settings amongst other things (nor can I modify VT settings).
    It also means I can't update the BIOS with the updated versions.
    How can I disable this? I have a feeling it's happened through tiny fingers playing with the laptop to 'see what this button does'.
    I've looked to see if there are any instructions for clearing the CMOS, however I may well be in the wrong decade for that being of use.
    The laptop is still in warranty, however this doesn't strike me as a warranty issue.

  • Code Error 5 message in Indesign CS4

    Sorry second part, I brought a new internal hard drive for my desktop computer had Tekserve here in New York City install the hard drive in my Intel Mac IMac computer. Reloaded all of my Premium CS4 creative suite software into this new hard drive all with all of my other software fresh from the cd rons. I was also told about 6 months back that there may have been a problem with my internal computer's  hard drive. So everything is fresh and I'm still having this same code error 5 and having Indesign CS4 tell me once again that my book file has a code error 5 happens. Adobe Indesign technicians tell me once this code error 5 happens the files are corrupted and can not be open again. So all this happen again using Idesign CS4 taking all of the steps above..

    Hi evryone, i have problem with Intel Management Engine Interface on my laptop HP Elitebook 8470p, I did:
    - Install driver for MEI by Drivers, Software and Firmware for HP EliteBook ... 
    - Update new bios by Drivers, Software and Firmware for HP EliteBook ... 
    But when i open Device Manager , Intel Manager Engine Interface cannot start (error code 10)
    - When i restart then open Device Manger, device MEI have not list in Device Manager.
    But when I shut down and turn on laptop, device MEI list in Device Manager with error code 10.
    Any body can help me? Thanks.

  • Unable to install Intel Management Engine Interface

    I also have the same issue.  I have a TOSHIBA Satellite C855-S5206 running Win 7 64-bit.I ignored the update months ago in TOSHIBA Service Station after I tried to install it and it gave a popup "ERROR: Do not support this platform." But today TOSHIBA Service Station asked to install it again.  I tried but same popup error.I went to the support page for my laptop and it lists this as a required update (same update as listed on TOSHIBA Service Station):Intel Management Engine Interface Posted Date: 2015-03-20 | Version: V9.5.24.1790 | Size: 70.13M I downloaded and tried to install the exe file and it still gives a popup "ERROR: Do not support this platform."The update is for the series 7 chipset but I'm also running the series 3. Has anyone resolved this??

    Yes, the Intel Management Engine is an integral part of the 6 series chipset. The driver is important. If running a Sandy Bridge CPU, then it must be the 7 version unless the UEFI/BIOS has been updated to a version that supports Ivy Bridge CPU's. The ones from MSI are pretested on your mainboard, so the decision is yours to use newer versions from Intel or not.

    Please download and install Speccy. Once that is done, then start it up. Once it is done analyzing, click on File and then on Save Snapshot. Save the snapshot to your desktop and then right click on it and select Send To and then Compressed (Zipped) Folder. I will send you a PM on what to do with the file.     I am left with two unknown devices in Device Manager. It appears to be the Intel Management Engine Interface Driver, which is unavailable in Update Retriever. I see it on the website as gars04ww.exe.

    I still don't know how that  got changed in the first place but that is not an issue with VM ware as to what else is changing the setting.
    Do you have any explicit suggestions as to how the error message can be improved?
