Intel WiDi Istallation

I wanna connect my Laptop to my smart panasonic TV through wireless , for this laptop need to download Intel WiDi software but when i download it error is come that " intel wifi adaptor exist' how i can proceed for wireless connection to TV

Hi  ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. It is a great site for information and questions. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion g6-2320tx Notebook and trying to connect to your Panasonic Smart TV. You do have to connect your TV to the Wireless router first. Here is a link to help you connect the to the WiDi software. If gives you step by step instructions how to connect the TV to your Notebook. I hope this helps, please let me know how this goes. Thanks.

  • Intel WiDi and Miracast

I have an HP Pavillion g6-2010nr Notebook PC .  It's came with Windows 7.  I want to use a wireless display adapter to wirelessly display (mirror) my laptop screen on TV.  It requires that my laptop be "Intel WiDi and Miracast" enabled. Is my laptop Intel WiDi and Miracast enabled? Do I have to install something? or can Windows 7 not do it? If Windows 7 can do it, how do I get it to connect? I know on Windows 8 there is a project option that allows you to connect to a TV, but I'm not sure where to find that option on Windows 7.  I am a newbie, so  the more details... the better.
    Thanks

    Hi,
No. The following specs shows it does not meet WiDi requirements:
       http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&docname=c03377517
BUT if you wish, please use the following tool to confirm:

  • 40TL938 and Intel WiDi (Wireless Display)

    Hi All,
Recently I've purchased Toshiba 40TL938 TV. As far as I understand it is WiDi capable thus it has WiDi receiver/adapter bulit in and could work as wireless display.
I managed to test the WiDi connection and tried with my Lenovo T420 laptop which is also WiDi capable. I've installed all required updates for gfx and wifi, enabled My Wifi addon and installed Intel WiDi application. That is all required and all went OK.
I've updated software in my TV to latest one available through Wifi update (july 2013)
Unfortunately - no success at all. Lenovo see no TV. Configuration of TV is quite obvious and nothing sophisticated could be done there. TV is able to connect to my wifi network and see T420 over network (because it sees it as network player).
Is there something that I don't understand or doing wrong? Is TL938 WiDi capable because it has WiDi receiver built in or it is just compatible with external WiDi dongles? If the answer is yes for the second question then technical specification for this TV is very wrong - this is not WiDi enabled TV at all and this is misleading.
    Greets,
    Tomek

That doesn't appear to be a US model, and this is the forums for Toshiba USA. You may want to contact Toshiba in your region.

  • Connecting Laptop to TV using Intel WIDI to watch Sky

Has anyone connected their laptop using Intel WIDI to a smart TV to watch Sky?I am continually getting an error and it looks like its being blocked by Sky.Using Amazon Prime or IPlayer and Netflix works fine, so i know teh SW and HW are functioning. If HDMI is used it works fine but i dont want to use a cable.

Only HDMI will carry the Aduio and Video together, if you use VGA, a audio cable is still required in the headphone jack to carry the sound to the TV.

  • Cannot use Intel widi with my Satellite L50-A-11T

    Hi,
I have a Satellite L50-A-11T and i've tried to use Intel widi with Windows 8.1 and doesn't work, it says that the system is not compatible.
With Windows 8 it was ok and worked fine, but in the instruccions for upgrading it said to remove Intel widi.
    Why is that?
    Thanks in advance.

    You misunderstood this info.
Intel WiDi isnt supported in Win 8.1 on Toshiba notebooks BUT instead of Intel WiDi you can use Miracast.
But Intel WiDi is not Miracast.
Intel WiDi was developed by Intel.
Miracast is an standard supported by developed by WiFi Allianz and Intel is a part of this Allianz
Windows 8.1 as well as Android 4.2 support the Miracast standard.
But this does not mean that you can use it always you need the compatible hardware parts.
In case your TV would not support Miracast standard, you will not be able to use it

  • Use of Lenovo WD100 with Intel WIDI and Windows 7 - PIN problem

I recently bought the adapter Lenovo WD100.
It works fine when connected to my Samsung S4.
But I am unable to use it with my PC.
The PC has an Intel I7 processor, Windows 7 and the Intel WIDI 4.2 software.
When I open the window of the software WIDI 4.2, the PC find immediately the adapter WD100 but when I try to connect it asks me to enter the PIN that should appear on the TV.
Unfortunately no PIN appears on the TV.
Does anyone have any idea where to find this PIN?
Is there a way to read it in some files in your PC?
    Thanks

    Hi John:
Thanks but, I had already done this. I was having THAT problem with Encore (could not even initialize before tanking) when I first installed it and that's when I updated the Roxio engine. I don't know what else there is to update or correct at this point.
There was one thing that occurred to me: When I was using XP, I had to disable Open GL in order to get Encore to stabilize. I've heard one recommendation for Encore that one must disable graphics acceleration. I would like try that here except I can't figure out how to do that in Windows 7.
I've been Googling "Windows 7 Disable Graphics Accel" and have come up with nothing useful.
Thanks for your help though and if you have any other ideas, I'm all ears.

  • Can't install Intel WiDi in my GT70 0nd-444us! Need help!

Hello guys, i'd bought my gt 70 last week in fry's. The model is the 0nd-444us. Its a notable and a great machine, but one of the functions of i'd expected most, the Intel WiDi technology, is not working! The note meet the Intel WiDi specifications, and on the model official website is listed as a Intel Widi notebook. I simple cant install the WiDi software, it says my machine doesn't meet the requirements. I've updated on intel websites, centrino's wireless 2230 and  intel hd4000, but program's not installing. I've backed to windows 7 and for my surprise... it worked! The programa install and run perfectly I think it's an incompatibility drivers problem with windows 8 or something else. I've google it and some people are asking for solutions like me. Other notebook manufactures made custom drivers that work!
Please help me guys! Anyone could install widi intel with no problem on windos8?
    Thanks!

Under Windows 8 you will need to use an older version(3.0.13.0) of the WIDI software and in most case it will work. Even if it says that is for windows 7 only it will actually work on Windows 8.
Please go up on intel website and search for Intel Wireless Display Software ver. 3.0.13.0, download that and install.
    That should be it.

  • Lenovo T420 (4236) widi error : this platform incompatible with Intel Widi

Hi There, I am using Lenovo 420 - 4236 and while installing intel widi getting following message " This platform is not compatible with Intel widi or the application is in use" I have checked the compatibility and driver version it is latest one. Kindly help to fix this. Under display adapter it shows Intel HD graphics family and NVDIA nvs 4200M, do i need to disable NVDIA ? Ganesh

Go to http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect and let the automated plugin examine your system. Download all the recommended files. The installation order is critical. Display first. WiFi second, WiDi third. Do not mix and match Intel and Lenovo drivers. Good luck.

  • Cannot install intel widi software on T530 - i7-3520M, NVS 5400M & HD 4000, Intel N6300

Hi, I recently bought a T530, when I placed the order, I contacted Lenovo support that my machine supports widi.
    Here is the spec:
    CPU: i7-3520M
Video card: NVS 5400m And HD Graphics 4000
    Network: Intel Ultimate 6300N
My machine comes with Win 8 on 500G HDD, I replaced the HDD with 256G SSD and installed win7 on the SSD.
I downloaded widi software fron Lenovo site (actually tried the one on Intel as well, same result), I got this message:
The platform is not compatible with Intel WiDi or the application is in use, please see log for more details"
I checked the log, here it is:

So, how can I get it working?

I'm not quite sure if this will work for you, but when I bought a NetGear PTV3000 Wireless Display Adapter, I could not get the Intel WiDi software to connect to the NetGear.
I found that the problem was with the Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi software. When you install the PROSet driver, you *MUST* install the "Intel My WiFi Technology" or else the Intel WiDi drivers will not find the WiDi displays.
See the following post on the Intel forums:  http://communities.intel.com/thread/31556
    I hope this helps.

  • [W520] Can't install updates for Intel WiDi or WiFi drivers

The Lenovo ThinkVantage System Update is telling me there are Intel WiDi and WiFi drivers available.  When I try to install them they seem to install fine, I get a Windows pop-up saying 'you're new hardware has installed correctly', then my system restarts and the updates are still listed as new available updates.  In the ThinkVantage update history it says for both "Did not install".  When I look at the driver version for the WiFi driver it is 14.03.0000.0 but I already have version 15.1.0.18 according to the ThinkBantage Toolbox System Information.  So I already have the newest drivers?  Why is the Update tool prompting for these updates?  Should I just hide these updates?  I don't care about WiDi but I'd like to have the newest WiFi drivers.

  • Intel WIDI on X230 ?

    Hi,
I thought I could use Intel WIDI on my X230 (2325), but when I use "Intel WIDI update tool", it says "Your graphic driver has been customized by the OEM. Please go to the manufacturer's support site to update the driver and run Intel WIDI update tool again."
I tried to install Intel Wireless Display 4.2 and I also had an error message telling me that my laptop is not compatible.
My WIFI card : Intel Centrino Advanced N6205 2x2 AGN
Does my laptop able to use Intel WIDI ?
    Solved!

  • Qosmio F750-10V - Intel Widi issues

    Hi there!
I'm having some issues with my Toshiba Laptop! It seems like I can't get 5.1 sound through my Widi, I cant play protected Blu-rays either.
I figured I had an old Widi software or an old Intel HD graphic driver, but i can't find anything newer. This is what I got:
    Intel Widi: version 2.1.42.0
Intel HD: 8.15.10.2509 with the date: 2011-08-31 which seems old.
And when I look [at this site over at Intel|http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wtech/iwd/sb/CS-032474.htm?wapkw=(widi)] it looks like the Toshiba laptops needs a special driver update.
+"Toshiba* systems with Intel WiDi require a custom graphics driver to enable Blu-Ray, DVD, and Intel Insider movie playback over Intel WiDi. Please check with Toshiba to obtain the correct graphics driver for your system."+
Does anyone have a clue which driver they mean?
Other than this the widi-software works like a charm. :)

  • How to get intel Widi

Hi I want to know how I can get intel widi on my envy I have Intel 802.11 Ac 7260 (2x2) dual band Wireless card. I tried downloading directly and it says contact ur comp manufacture for the drivers because its custom? I was able to install the pro driver set from intel but no luck with WIDI.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Your machine is a CTO machine, please check the following requirements. Normally if it supported WiDi, the specs should show on paper and you don't have to download anything.

  • T440s cannot install Intel WiDi

I am trying to install Intel WiDi so I can use wireless display mirroring.
    My machine is a T440s (model 20AQ005QUS) running Windows 8.1 64-bit.
The WiDi software is available in the downloads area for my machine (from this, I take it that T440s is considered a supported system)
    http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-t-series-laptops/thinkpad-t44...
However, when I run the installer, I am told my platform is not compatible with Intel WiDi (screenshot attached)
The link in the image goes to this page: http://www.intel.com/support/go/wireless/widirequirements.htm
According to the readme on Lenovo's download page ( http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/giw623ww.txt ), the hardware/software requirements are as follows:
    For Windows 8.1,
    - Intel Wireless LAN adapter card and driver, version 17.1.5 or higher for:
    Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260
    Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-N 7260
    Intel(R) Wireless-N 7260
    Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265
    Intel Dual Band Wireless-N 7265
    Intel Wireless-N 7265
    - Intel HD Graphics Family driver version 15.36.2.64.3871 or later.
    - Intel Management Engine Components 9.5.20.11742/9.0.30.1482/10.0.26.1000 or higher
    - Intel 5,6,7 Series Chipset.
    - Intel Core Processor i3/i5/i7
    - I do have Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 with driver version 17.13.11.5
    - I do have Intel HD Graphics but the driver version is only 10.18.10.3958 (so this may be the problem)
    - I have made sure the latest Intel Management Engine components is installed (10.0.38.1036)
    - I don't know what Intel Series Chipset I have. Can someone advise me on how to confirm?
    - I have an Intel Core i5 Processor
It seems the problem may that the HD graphics driver version is inadequate. But the version I have installed (10.18.10.3958) is the latest version available from the T440s downloads page
    http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-t-series-laptops/thinkpad-t44...
    What am I to do?
Why aren't Lenovo providing the necessary driver version?
Is it posible that some other part of my system is incompatible (even though Lenovo list T440s as a supported system)?
    Thanks

I work for a large corporate with over 5000 Lenovo laptops and am currently pushing them to get the latest Intel video driver uploaded so that their WiDi 5.1 package can be installed.
In the mean time you can grab the latest video driver direct from the Intel web site (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloads/eula/24785/Intel-Iris-and-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-... and install it to to your T440s – overwriting Lenovo’s older Intel HD Video driver.
After doing that, the WiDi driver package from the Lenovo web site will install and function correctly.
In short, the setup process was essentially three steps:
    1. Install the latest Intel Wireless Lan drivers (http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-x-series-laptops/thinkpad-x1-...
    2. Install the latest Intel HD Video drivers (*manually override the old Lenovo OEM driver)  (https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downloads/eula/24785/Intel-Iris-and-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-...
    3. Install the latest Intel Wireless Display (WiDi) driver (http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-x-series-laptops/thinkpad-x1-...
This is obviously not a process I would want to follow for enterprise deployment. Hopefully Lenovo will post the updated Intel HD Video driver package to their Support site for X1 Carbon and T440s customers.
*Note: In order to manually override the outdated video driver you need to follow the 'Have Disk' method for the new driver install.   In other words:
    1. Expand the zip file contents that you downloaded in Step 2 above.
    2. Launch 'Device Manager' > Expand 'Display Adapters' > Right-click 'Intel HD Graphics' and choose 'Update Driver Software'
    3.  Select 'Browse my computer for driver software' and click 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'
    4. Select 'Have Disk'
    5. Select 'Browse' > navigate to the folder where you extracted the download above. Look in the “Graphics” sub-folder and locate the INF file > then click “Open”, followed by “OK” and “Next”
    6. Upon completion of the installation, reboot even if not prompted to. On reboot, you’re done.
