Intelligent album does not find event

Question

Hi!
After having some problems with my library, I'm back with the help of a backup (very important!!).
My library seems to be ok, but I have a strange problem:
I have several events like:
KINDER 2005
KINDER 2006
KINDER 2007
That are snapshots of my children, one event for all snapshots of a year.
I want to see them all in an intelligent album, so I created one with a search for:
+EVENT contains "KINDER 20"+
The strange thing is: In this album, I see some of the events, some not.
e.g. I see: KINDER 2005, KINDER 2007 but I don't see KINDER 2006 .
When I search (CMD + F) for "KINDER 20" I get all these events.
strange.
Can anybody tell me, what's wrong?
I have already renamed the event - first to just something "asdf" and then back to "KINDER 2006". But this didn't help.

Michael,
I just had the same problem.
Did NOT work:
Trashing the preferences.
Rebuilding the library.
Renaming the Smart Album.
Renaming the Event.
Adding a newer event.
DID work:
1) Go to the list of events (click events in the left hand pane under library)
2) Drag the problem event onto an event that did make it into the smart album
e.g. drag KINDER 2006 event onto the KINDER 2005 event
3) Confirm you want to merge the events.
4) The smart album should now be correct.
5) Go to the merged event, select the photos that were in the original problem event.
e.g. select all the KINDER 2006 photos which are now in the KINDER 2005 event
6) Select Events... Create Event
7) A new event will be created. Rename this to your original event.
e.g. KINDER 2006
I found this by trial and error.
