Intensity changes with value

I have a 2d array of temperature vs time. I would like to have an indicator whose color is proportional to temperature that changes with time. Any suggestions?

If you just want to display the current 2D temperature array, use an intensity graph with an appropriate color ramp. For an example, open the example finder and search for "heat eqaution". It will show a simulation of the heating of a 2D plate starting with certain boundary conditions..

I am trying to change the limit values for both ACCTASSCAT (K) and item cat (D ie service PO) with ref to message type PORDCH IDOC type PORDCH02, the IDoc is getting posted but the PO is not getting updated ie LIMIT value is not getting change and returning msg "No data changed".

Are you really sure that your IT_SCH has the same fields like POITEM?
the delivery date and statistical delivery date are located in the schedule tab in ME23N and stored in the schedule table EKET, not in EKPO where the PO item data is stored.
I think you should assign your IT_SCH to POSCHEDULE

How to change a value with reference if inside of a tabControl?

Hello,
i have a Vi with a tabcontrol and two pages. On each page is a string-control (string1 and string2).
Now i have second vi that gets the file-reference of the first vi and is called inside of the first vi.
This reference do i want to use to change the value of the string-control.
But i dont have access to "pages" when using the reference.
Attached the two vis.

Easiest way that I know is to right click on the control itself and select "Create->Reference".

Value for a characteristic changed with an other value in Query Design

I want to change the value for a characteristic (Type) in Query Design (not the description, the value).
In my cube I have these values:
Customer *** Type
22222********SmallCorp
22223********SmallCorp
22224********MedCorp
The report should like:
Customer *** Type
22222********LEGALENTITIES
22223********LEGALENTITIES
22224********LEGALENTITIES
Or only the "SmallCorp" value should be changed in LEGALENTITIES.
How to do that?

You can write an exit to replace Type SmallCorp to LEGALENTITIES.
But this will reflect in other queries too....
Or If change in modelling is still an option, you can add one more Type 2 in the cube and update in the transformation with Constant = LEGALENTITIES. Use the Type 2 in the queries.

Change TextView value with Javascript

I'm trying to find a way of changing the value of an HTMLB TextView on the client side with javascript.

Hi,
this can be a bit tricky, because you have to know, how to access the element. that means you need an unique id or an absolute position of the TextView-element
if you can see, how to access the specific element in your client-pagesource, a possible javascript could be:
document.getElementById("<id of element>").firstChild.nodeValue="My new Text"
or access by name/count of the element:
document.getElementsByName("<name of element>")[#position of occurance].firstChild.nodeValue="My new Text"

Listboxes and dropdowns can be scripted against without too much difficulty.
You would need something like this in the click event of the button:
listbox1.rawValue = null; //clear previous choice
listbox1.clearItems(); //clear the list items
listbox1.addItem("Moocco", "ma"); //add new list items
listbox1.additem("Portugal", "pt");

Extended rebate - change payment values with Badi RBT_ENH_BADI_SETTLE

Dear all
I am trying to change payment values for an extended rebate agreement credit memo.
According to the documentation it can be done using BADI
RBT_ENH_BADI_SETTLE .
I am using method BONUS_VALUES_MODIFY , but no values
has been changed in the credit memo.
Does anyone have experience using the BADI ? Or any other idea how to change the payment values (not manually )?

i havent done much thing with it so i have almost none experience with js....
So in 'HTML Form Element Attributes' for the second item I m trying this :
onchange="javascript:{document.getElementById('P1_SUBPROJECT').value = '-1';}"
but when i change the value of this second item, the first one (P1_SUBPROJECT) dont get -1
what am i doing wrong?

Changing the value of a control in a subvi

I think the answer is out there somewhere but I've read through many threads found with searches similar to this topic so sorry to repost...
I would like to change the value of a top-level VI control from a sub-vi. The data is being used as a parameter, I was thinking about using a local/global but I've seen this discouraged. Is there a way I can do it with references, property, or invoke nodes (or some other suggested method) ?
I am guessing that if I am not using globals I will need to wire into the sub-vi?

I'd like to clarify what I am trying to do a bit more...
The sub-vi has a control of the same type as the top-level vi. The inital control value is being passed into the sub-vi from the top-level vi. The sub-vi uses the control value in several places through local variables (reading and writing to it)
I would like to modify the vi so the top-level vi control value changes whenever the sub-vi changes the control value that is passed to it.
My last attempt was to make a refnum control in the sub-vi (by dragging from top-level block diagram to sub front panel) and then creating a property node from that refnum control. Using the property node "value" did not give me the value of the control from the top-level vi as I had hoped. Wiring it to a terminal that was expecting the same type of control (a cluster of two numerics) caused a wiring conflict.
I noticed elsewhere in the code that the programmer used a text file to save options (unfortunately the control I am working on was not originially included in the options). There is a vi that, when called, either reads or writes to the text file. From a C/C++ programming perspective it seems quite odd to me not to just keep all this data in memory and pass it around. Is using a file to store variables a typical practice in LV programming (even when they are retrieved multiple times during program execution) ?

As long as there are no confounding factors, such as certain extensions, or a user.jsfile the procedure is as follows
# Open a new tab and type "about:config" in the address bar.
# In the Search bar type: "newtab"
# Locate and double click "browser.newtab.url"
# In the "Enter String Value" box change "'''about:newtab'''" to "'''about:blank'''" and click OK.
# Verify that the value has changed and now all new tabs will be blank.

Changing Filter Values from Macro in BW 7.0

in my Workbook I need to change Filter Values of some queries in runtime.
The first thing I found was BEx API reference for BW 3.5, but I wasn't able to make these functions work. After all I found this code:

I also tried to separate different filter values with comma, but this did not help.
Also I will be glad if someone could give me a link on documentation about BEx objects in Excel.

Problem with value in object element declared as NUMBER(26,3)

We have an object OBJ_NAME_1 created like below and total element in the object are around 100 with in which only one element is of data type VARCHAR2(4000). Other are with small size as below

And we are creating an VARRY of above object as below:

Now we have one procedure with IN parameter of type ARRAY_NAME_1 as below and we are calling this procedure from java.

E_MESS OUT VARCHAR2,

My problem is with value of element amount_1 of array ARRAY_NAME_1 in the procedure. Actually data type of this element is NUMBER(26,3) in object. But from java we are able to pass value like 1234.12345 (with 5 decimal).
The declare section of the procedure are like below :

In the begin section we are assigning variable like below:

The value of variables are below after above assignment:
l_OBJ_NAME_1 . Amount_1 → 234.12345 (without round off)
m_amount_1 → 234.12345 (without round off)
n_amount_1 → 234.123 (with round off)
Actually all the above 3 variable/element has been declared as NUMBER(26,3), then the value in these variables should be with rounded up to 3 decimal place. Then why it is not happening with variable
l_OBJ_NAME_1 . Amount_1 and m_amount_1?

Okay, thanks Patrick. I commented that out so now I can see the full error message. Actually, now the page just returns an "OK" (nothing else), and I click on that to return back to the page where I see:
Checksum error for Hidden and Protected item ID (26968176992578859), value ([object]), posted checksum (326873D5A54A4AF425EC4D500B9B4D02), expected checksum (********************************), index_i (10), index_j (2), index_m (2);
Okay, so that's evidently a new option in 3.1, it should have just been a 'Hidden' item, not 'Hidden and Protected'. So, I change this back to just 'Hidden', refressh the page, the re-execute it and try to select from the popup again. This time, instead of the more-or-less blank page with only "OK" on it, I also get "ORA-01722: invalid number" above the "OK". When I click the "OK", then I am returned back to the last good 'runnable' page I executed (since the search page is no longer 'runnable' (the javascript evidently is still returning an object instead of a number).
On a previous run of trying to track the problem down, I made the :P3_SEQ as a regular text field so I could try to see what was going on, and it briefly displayed "[object]" before the search executed and returned the error.
So thanks for helping me get past the first stage so I could see a better version of what the error is. Now I just need to figure out why an object is being returned instead of number. This worked fine in 3.0, and the only thing I can think of is that something, somewhere in 3.1's javascript is slightly different now, but I really don't know.

Change the value of a field in a form when the form is displayed

I have a report which has a link to a form for updating the records. I have used a link to the form from report which displays the the record to be updated i.e it gets default values from the report. I need to change one of these values at the time of displaying the form. The set_value in the 'before displaying the page' section doesn't change the vaue displayed in the form. I tried in other 'Advanced pl/sql' sections provided but didn't succeed.

Change display value of "select list"

I have a problem with a select list, I want to change the display value through an own pop up (page 5 of apex application) after I submit in it.
The select list is based on a sql query:

beside I have an link to open a pop up window:

On the pop up site there is a tree and a submit button which close the window and renew the original page:

Through the tree I get the value (Group-ID) which I need.
When I'm back on page 4 a "before header" renew page process links again on the side 4 and change the value of my select list. Afterwards the values have changed correctly but the display value is still the old one. It only change when i go on an other page of the apex application and come back.
I don't know why it doesn't change immediately!?

I have done with a solution just in a nutshell of what u r looking for:
1.create HTML region.
Add two items : Select list with redirect(P6_X) and text field(P7_X)
2. Select list is based on LOV query as :
select empno d,empno r from emp ;
Source value is Empno Type:DBcolumn.
3.The text field Source type : SQL Query .
Query : select ename from emp where empno = :P6_X
Now select from the dropdown empno and it will populate the Ename value accordingly based on the query .
U can have more than one text fields and populate those in the same way.....

Dump when changing the value for a field (of 13 decimals) in alv grid.

Its giving a dump when user is trying to change the value.
dump description: Unable to interpret "70,000 " as a number.
what is happening here is, the original value is 50,000 and he is deleting 5 and replacing it with 7, here its throwing the dump.
If he removes the complete number 50,000 and then gives 70000 its taking the value.
I tried to use, the decimals options in alv field catalog but to no joy.
Please can you give me an advice on this.

the problem is the comma in the 70,000....that's an alpha character.... Normally, we expect SAP to display numeric fields in a appropriate format, based upon their numeric type, but trying to forcibly insert '70,000' into a true numeric-type field can generate an 'unable to interpret xxx,xxxx as number' error.
You could experiment with changing your ALV column to a char17 (or appropriate width) and putting your numeric value into that to display, then converting back to type P, or other field type in the table, in a column that is not displayed, when the user changes the value.... essentially two columns, one not displayed with a routine to copy/convert the numeric field into the alpha field and the reverse when the field is changed.
But, the better solution is probably for the user to understand that they're seeing a formatted numeric field, and that they need to replace the entire value with the only possible punctuation being a decimal and (if necessary) a negative sign.
