Intensity II unlock problem

I have two Intensity II phones and they both unlock when either of the two soft keys at the left side of the screen are touched.  Because of this I can not put this phone in my pocket or it unlocks.  Does anybody else have this problem? How do I disable those keys from unlocking the phone keypad.  I do not want to have to put a security code in everytime I put my phone in my pocket.

    Hi, ksickles-
Samsung has designed the soft keys to unlock for quick and convenient use! If it better suits your needs, a lock code will provide a more secure experience so you can keep the phone in your pocket!
Thanks,

  • 5s Fingerprint unlock problem solved

Like several (many?) here, I've had 5s fingerprint unlock issues since launch. Works
    for 1 or 2 days only, requiring a re-scan.
I've finally solved the issue I've been having. Very simple fix...
I had been using the end of my finger only, with the very end slightly
over the far end of the sensor, varying the rotation between training scans.
This worked well for unlocking, but sadly failed over time.
My fix, which hopefully works for others: Use a thicker part of the finger.
It didn't take much, just stay away from the end of the finger. I also
moved more during training than the "move slightly" prompt you get
    if you don't move enough.
So far I'm on day 4 and have not had any failures where I had
to resort to using the passcode.
If you have unlock problems, and this works for you, please
let others know to help spread the word.
    HTH,
    -Joe

Not sure which problem you mean be "The problem is that the issue doesn't happen right away."
I'm describing a new issue. Perhaps I didn't describe it properly.  Moot point as it could
not be duplicated.  I rename my "fingers" rather than use the default "finger 1, finger 2" etc.
The "Right t" I scanned 6 days ago is still there in the listing, but will not unlock
the phone. Touching it (as you described) while on the phone with Apple (handy
feature, BTW!) would not highlight it etiher. What did unlock the phone, and did
highlight it in the fingerprint screen, was a "Right I" or right index finger which had
been created and then deleted about an hour earlier.
As far as I know, I have not seen anyone here with that problem.  Again, moot point
as it was something that "happened", and the same steps could not get it to
    happen again.  Very odd...
Other than that, the initial scan, further away from the very end of the finger, has
been rock solid.  So far at least
    Hope this is clearer.

  • HT201328 AT&T Authorised Unlock - Problem with Restore

We’re sorry, we are unable to continue with your activation at this time. Please try again later, or contact customer care. How do we overcome this error after we AT&T unlocked the phone and when we try to restore it with the latest iOS version (6.1.3) ?

The phone was not locked before it got a legitimate unlock from AT&T. I did not use it for about an year until now, as I broke the contract (since I had to leave the country an year ago). and only now, I requested an unlock with at&t and they unlocked it. I updated the phone with iOS 6.1.3 and tried restoring as per the steps mentioned, with a Vodafone India SIM Card in it but it did not activate the phone and ended up in this problem. Much appreciate the help with this...

  • Strange iPhone 4 factory unlock problem.

Strange problem with iPhone unlock, friend purchased iPhone 4 from another friend which was locked to O2 Ireland. After a few months of use he was having problems with the camera so he brought it back to the to the Apple store in Belfast, Northern Ireland and was given a refurbished one no problem. So now one year on he has left O2 to now find out that his replacement iPhone is locked to them. Now usually they have a policy that if you have spent so much credit on your account they will unlock your phone, but they are telling him their is no record of the phone in the system so they won't send a request of unlock to Apple. The problem seems to be because the phone was a replacement from Belfast which as part of UK has different providers than here in Ireland. So the phone originated in UK which means no record of it on O2 Ireland. Apple won't unlocked because the request hasn't come from the provider and provider won't unlock because they never had phone originally.
Has anyone had a problem like this before.
    Cheers

I have the same problem, did u find a way to unlock it? If yes please share :)

  • 6120 unlock problem

hi, 6120 end of 3 contract - paid £15 to 3 to unlock it - bought O2 sim free contract and won't work - O2 say it's not properly unlocked - 3 say it's not their problem as they don't guarantee their unlocking. Is there any way I can now fully unlock my phone? Thanks hopefully

did you ask your previous provider if they unlocked it an unbranded it? there is a way to unlock your phone but it voids warranty therefore it can not be discussed on these boards.

  • IPhone Unlock Problems

I am having a difficult time unlocking my 5s. I recently moved from the US to the UK and had to cancel my AT&T contract. As part of the process, AT&T unlocked my 5s and my wife's 5s. I received an email confirming this shortly after finishing my conversation with AT&T. The email said 1) wait 24 hours 2) make sure there is a SIM in the phone (note: not what kind of SIM) 3) backup and restore the iPhone. I did this but am now getting a "SIM not Valid" error. I tried multiple times with my wife's 5s and the AT&T SIM. I never get the "congrats" message and only get the "SIM not Valid" error when I sway to the Vodaphone SIM. I have tried the Vodaphone SIM, but can't because iTunes and the phone essentially shut me out of a restore when that error message is present. I have even tried putting the 5s into recovery mode for the restore with the Vodaphone SIM to no avail.
I finally gave up on my wife's phone and tried my own. Instead of following the directions AT&T provided, I stuck the Vodaphone SIM (same one I have been using in my wife's) in right away and.... bam, no problems. My 5s is now full up Vodaphone. Now, back to my wife's with the other SIM. Still nothing. I have confirmed with AT&T that the phone has been unlocked (likely confirmed by the fact that my 5s is unlocked).
Anyone have any idea what is going on? Apple's directions for unlocking say to do what I did with my phone. They say to use AT&T's directions if you don't have a SIM. Any help would be greatly appreciate. I am running the latest version of iOS, Mac OS X, and iTunes on a MacBook Pro. Thanks.
    Tim

That makes sense based on this error message:
The SIM card that you currently have installed in this iPhone is from a carrier that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server. This is not a hardware issue with the iPhone. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked by your carrier. Please contact Apple for more information.
That's what I get on iTunes. The "SIM not valid" is from the iPhone.

  • Official iPhone unlocked problem - new SIM detected -

    Hi
I have an original iPhone that has been officially unlocked by O2 here in the UK. This phone has been unlocked so it is now running on the Orange network.
    The Issue:
Every time this iPhone is either powered off or put into airplane mode and then switched back on it doesn't remember it is unlocked. It is a real issue trying to get it to recognise the Orange SIM that is now inserted. This phone is now my work phone and the problem is that this happened when I was away from home. I switched it off during a long (and boring) meeting and could not get it working again after. Emergency calls only.
Why does this phone continually not remember that it is unlocked. This is a real issue if you don't have your computer near by and if the phone has powered down for some reason. Not only that I have to put in an O2 sim, connect to iTunes, hit sync and quickly unplug the phone, re insert the Orange SIM, re connect to iTunes "New SIM detected", hit continue, hit sync and quickly un plug the phone just to get it working. This can't be right.
What is going on and can anyone help.

No I haven't experienced this problem, but swapping SIM cards has helped some people with various issues. It may just be that you were unlucky, though 3 times seems very odd. You say that all is well now?

  • HT201328 IPHONE 4 UNLOCKING PROBLEM ORANGE TO VODAFONE NETWORK

    Hi
My problem is I had finished my contract of 24 months with orange/EE & payed £20.42 to wait for a confirmation email that did arrive after 2 weeks with unlocking process via iTunes.
So I wanted it unlocked so it could be used with a Vodafone microsim as a gift to my  dad so I bought a new Vodafone micro sim because I had to order a new microsim with all my dads details on it &  I did what the orange email said in steps but I (never got a congratulations your iPhone is unlocked) message but I noticed it did say Vodafone uk network on top left of the iPhone 4 screen.
But the Vodafone microsim was not the number I wanted as Vodafone had to change all the details from a standard size sim to a new micro with all my dads details as he wanted to keep the same mobile number so seeming that it was showing the Vodafone network signal & all working I finally received my dads  new Vodafone microsim with all his details etc that was on the standard sim that was in my dads old phone but when I ejected the Vodafone microsim that was working  I bought that was brand new & like I stated was working on the iPhone 4 & swapped it for my dads new micro Vodafone sim All I get is "NO SERVICE" So I went through the exact same steps on the email for unlocking my orange locked iPhone 4 again  as I did with the first voda sim but I get " No service ". I'm sorry to bother you guys especially XMAS day but its a gift for my father today as it's his Vodafone number he wants to keep on the sim they sent so I phoned Vodafone & they said the sim needs activating & could take 30 mins to 24 hours. But it's been over 24 hours & Ive turned the iPhone 4 on & off but still no service plus I reset network settings & rebooted the iPhone a few times
It must be unlocked because  the first Vodafone microsim that I bought new recently  worked but its strange & extremely  frustrating that my dads new Vodafone microsim still says. "NO SERVICE"?
Would you be kind enough to help me if you have any idea what I've done wrong or is there anything else I'm supposed to do or could do to get this other new Vodafone Sim working. Sorry to bother you guys but you seemed to know a lot about unlocking so i thought I'd ask you. If you can help in anyway I'd be so very very grateful as I'm running out of time
    THANKYOU
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
    Sent from my iPhone 5s

Nothing to do with Apple what so ever
Only the carrier ,in this case Vodafone can authorise the unlocking of the iPhone
The IMEI is the vehicle not the  phone number
However to allow approval Vodafone probably  need to be able to
see the IMEI active on their network
You could consider buying a PAYG sim become a customer active and on
their network and then try a new request

  • Australian iPhone (unlocked) Problems getting it to work in USA

I took my Australian iPhone with me on our trip to Hawaii in June '09 year. Although AT&T has a monopoly on iPhones in the 'states, this is not the case in Australia where all wireless providers offer them. Anyway, mine is unlocked from any network, and it was my understanding prior to the trip that T-Mobile could sell me a 'prepaid' SIM and also a data pack called 'Sidekick' for my iPhone while in Hawaii. Turns out not so simple...
I went to a T-Mobile store on Maui and the guy there explained that my phone probably would not work with one of their SIMs as it would need to have been unlocked in a particular way to work with T-Mobile. He put one of their SIMs in it anyway as a test and sure enough it did not work. We're coming to Alaska via Hawaii for 3.5 weeks in June 2010 and it would be handy to solve this problem for that trip, if in fact it can be solved.
I called a T-Mobile store today and the guy told me they have a prepaid option called FlexPay that would allow me to get a month's voice and data (EDGE at least) while I'm there with no contract. I asked him about my previous experience where a T-Mobile sim card would not work in my phone. The guy said something about the 'base stand' maybe being the issue. Does this make any sense? Any ideas how I can get an unlocked iPhone to work for me in the US or what the technical issue the T-Mobile rep is referring to might be?

If the phone is unlocked, it should work on T-Mobile with no problems. The phone would need a modified carrier file but I don't think that can be talked about on this forum. You can search Google for T-Mobile USA carrier file. That will get you started.
Oh, and I think the post above mine is spam. I have no clue what it is talking about.

  • Gamers unlocked problems

So email portion of subscription still is not available and this is month 4. Was litterally placed on hold for an hour and twenty minutes just to be hung up on, with only talking to the initial representitive. This has not been my only problem with Unlocked as I was one of the numerous who didn't get the renewal notice. So litterally a six month problem with this latest slap in the face.

    Hi Tony,
I believe this is in reference to the magazine subscription question that I answered via private message.  I am sorry to hear of the trouble you had on the phone, but please let me know if you have any additional questions.

  • Gamers Club Unlocked problems

I purchased Gamers Club Unlocked in December and have had nothing but problems trying to get it activated/registered to my account. I took the Gamers Club Unlocked card into a BestBuy to have it activated 1/29 and was told it was activated and that if their were any problems it could be taken care of by email. I checked my BestBuy account and when I went to checkout it wasn't applying the 20% off or showing up in my account. When I contacted BestBuy by email I was told that the membership wasn't activated correctly by the employee and that it couldn't be taken care of by email as I was told. I was eventually provided with a phone number and was told they would correct the problem. As the employee somehow put the membership under someone elses name/account at the same address I had them call ( as was requested in the BestBuy email ) When she called they didn't know what to do, were very hard to understand, she was transferred 4-5 times, put on hold numerous times, disconnected each time and in the end the problem wasn't taken care of. I really need someone to take care of this as a trip to the store, numerous emails and 5 phone calls is a bit ridiculous just to use something that I paid for. I would really appreciate if this was taken care of.

    Good morning mike1942,
It is great to hear that you purchased a Gamers Club Unlocked membership! It can certainly benefit those who do a lot of gaming. From the information you shared, it sounds like you may have purchased a Gifting Gamers Club Unlocked card, which requires a secondary transaction to activate and attach it to a My Best Buy membership.
With that said, we should of course be ensuring these are attached to the appropriate My Best Buy memberships to prevent such issues and hassle. I am truly sorry that this Gamers Club Unlocked membership was not attached appropriately. Fortunately, we should be able to easily correct this.
I am sending you a private message to gather further details in regards to this issue. You may check your private messages by signing into the forum and clicking the envelope icon in the top right corner of the page.

  • Xperia Ray bootloader unlock problem

I am having problems unlocking my bootloader. My Ray tells me "Bootloader Unlock Status Allowed: Yes", but I have encountered some weird problems. When I go through the official Sony method, the command prompt tells me it did not unlock it because it was already unlocked. But when I connect to Emma, it is grayed out and says it's locked. PC Companion still works. When I use Xperia Flashtool to unlock the bootloader I get a message that says it can't be officially unlocked. I couldn't figure out what was up with it so I tried to proceed with installing a ROM, flashed the boot.img with Xperia Flashtool, rebooted and hit volume down over and over to enter CWM, but it doesn't work, just sits at the Sony logo. Does anyone have any ideas or advice on how to proceed? Thanks in advance for any help.
