Intensity printed
Hi,
I am working on a sapscript form which is almost finished except the shading.
My problem:
sapscript form box intensity printed as dots instead of equal grey shade. In the printview i can see nice grey shade but when i print it i see dots. Which disturb my text in the box.
My code in sapscript:
/: POSITION XORIGIN -1 MM YORIGIN +104 MM
/: BOX WIDTH 80 MM HEIGHT 38 MM INTENSITY 20
/: BOX XPOS 0 MM WIDTH 0 MM HEIGHT 38 MM FRAME 10 TW
/: BOX XPOS 80 MM WIDTH 0 MM HEIGHT 38 MM FRAME 10 TW
/: BOX YPOS 38 MM WIDTH 80 MM HEIGHT 0 MM FRAME 10 TW
/: BOX YPOS 9 MM WIDTH 80 MM HEIGHT 0 MM FRAME 10 TW
I already adjust the intensity from 10 - 50 it didn't help. Same result with bigger dots.
Can someone help me with this problem?
Best regards,
Muhammet Ali Kara
Hi,
Thank you all for the fast response.
I tried your recommendations. Below you can find the adjustments
/: POSITION XORIGIN -1 MM YORIGIN +104 MM
/: BOX WIDTH 80 MM HEIGHT 38 MM INTENSITY
/: BOX XPOS 0 MM WIDTH 0 MM HEIGHT 38 MM FRAME 10 TW
/: BOX XPOS 80 MM WIDTH 0 MM HEIGHT 38 MM FRAME 10 TW
/: BOX YPOS 38 MM WIDTH 80 MM HEIGHT 0 MM FRAME 10 TW
/: BOX YPOS 9 MM WIDTH 80 MM HEIGHT 0 MM FRAME 10 TW
/: BOX YPOS 0 MM WIDTH 80 MM HEIGHT 0 MM FRAME 10 TW
After printing the box, doesn't have any shade. Text i can read. No shade no dots.
So this is not the answer to my problem. I also tried different printers with same result.
Best regards,
Muhammet Ali Kara

Printer setup operation with elements 12
I hav spent hours with online support on this issue. They can correct the symptoms, but they cannot correct the problem, and we end up in circular discussions. My new photoshop 12 looses communication with my Epson printer driver when trying to set up a print job. When I enter "ADVANCED SETTIN GS" the message is shown that the printer does not exist. I can print to the printer with whatever the default settings are in the driver, but cannot change the settings. Support has had me delete some %appdata% files that restores the function for a while, but then the problem will reappear when I am involved in intensive printer setup. I have Elements 10 and can print without any problems even though 12 seems to have crashed. How can we solve this problem?
Moving this discussion to the Photoshop Elements forum.

Bluetooth interruption error "CreateFile Error : 55"
We get intermittent bluetooth communication interruption when performing intense printing on a bluetooth printer from a PDA having Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional Pocket PC OS.
I assingned bluetooth printer as a virtual COM port. When we get interruption we try to Open the port by OpenDevicePort dll function then it might print after several trials.
I tried different PDAs and came across with the same problem. But this problem does not exist on PDAs with Windows CE OS.
Is there any solution how to overcome this interruption problem on devices with Windows Mobile Professional 5 and above.
dll Code
int OpenDevicePort()
DWORD dwError;
hCommPort = CreateFile(_T("COM6:"),
GENERIC_READ | GENERIC_WRITE,
FILE_SHARE_READ,//0
NULL,
OPEN_ALWAYS,//OPEN_EXISTING
FILE_ATTRIBUTE_NORMAL,//0
NULL);
if(hCommPort == INVALID_HANDLE_VALUE)
dwError= GetLastError();
ErrorLogFile(dwError);
return dwError;
//GetLastError Return : 55 -> The specified network resource or device is no longer available.
Kind regards
BarisThis problem appears to happen 100% of the time on Trimble NOMAD handheld devices running Windows CE 5.2.1946. Building using Visual Studio 2008, C++ 2008, for target Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC SDK (ARMV4I). Connection shows as active in
Settings:Connections:Bluetooth and has COM8: assigned. CreateFile on the COMM8: port takes three or four SECONDS to return and always returns INVALID_HANDLE_VALUE. GetLastError() always returns 55 (i.e., device no longer available). Interesting
that this does NOT happen on Trimble's RECON, JUNO or the latest Socket Mobile 655 systems or the Juniper Archer or Archer 2 (all I've tested). Only the Trimble NOMAD. Wish I had a better solution, but the only advice I can offer is to switch
to another device that doesn't exhibit this bad behavior. If anyone has something better to offer, I'd be in their debt.

Unable to recognize deck when printing to video (fcp 6.0.5)
I am driving myself absolutely crazy trying to figure this one out. I found a previous thread discussing the same problem (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8602649) but nothing has worked.
My footage was shot using a Sony HVR-V1U. I captured using the ProRes 422 codec. My audio video settings are set with the following...
sequence preset: Apple Pro Res 422 1440 x 1080 60i 48khz
capture preset: Apple Pro Res 422
device control preset: sony firewire hdv
When click on the A/V tab, different output for edit to tape/print to video is selected:
video: [Missing] HDV 1440 x 1080 60i
audio: default
Im not sure why the missing is there. My firewire port is working and i can capture without a problem.
I've tried trashing the prefs and am at a loss. This problem may have an easy solution and really hope someone can help!
Thanks!Sorry to say, these days that machine is marginal, and HDV is processor intensive. I hate that darned codec already.
Just for laughs, capture one clip as prores and see if you can recreate the behaviour. It might behoove you to re-ingest your footage if you haven't gotten too far along. -
Long Load Times on Graphic Intensive Games
I'm experiencing some absurdly long load times (1-3 hours) with many games (SPORE, Portal, X:3, etc...) that I believe may be related to how graphically intensive they are. Older games with lower graphics quality (WoW, Civ 4, etc...) load up fine.
When I load any newer game the icon appears in the tray and the computer does nothing else for at least an hour, whereupon the program loads and begins playing immediately--often without any further delays or issues.
I also use Boot Camp to run Windows Vista (Ultimate 32) and experience no delays when running SPORE on Windows.

In Crystal 10, is there any way to print just the charts of a report without printing the associated and unsuppressed detail? I have a data-intensive report filled with charts, and a user wants to see the data in the report but only print the charts representing the information.
Thanks in AdvanceHave a parmeter "show details"
link all the section to hide when show details = False ( apart form the chart)
then the user can do what he wants with the parameter. -
I can connect to my Epson Stylus NX625 through my wireless network and print a page or two, but then the next time I go to print it says that the printer is not connected. Any fixes? I have tried deleting the printer and re-adding it to my MacBook Pro OS X version 10.9.4, but sometimes it doesn't even find it, and other times it says it is connected, but when I go to print it says not connected. Very frustrated. I have also installed the latest drivers, etc.
What now?Your computer is going to run hot while playing CPU/GPU intensive games - it should heat up and the fans should be noticably loud. As to why it's 'crashing' - can you post a kernel panic log? You may have some third-party kexts that are causing the problems.

Hi there! I was wondering if you could help me with this case.
Old computer: Mac G4 (purchased in 2002)
Old OS: OS 10.4.11 (Tiger)
CPU: Dual 1.25 GHz
Memory: 2 RAM
Software: Photoshop 7
Hardware: Large format printer: Epson 11880 (64” wide monster). Prints large posters, banners, etc.
As you can see, it is time for an upgrade...
New computer: iMac
New OS: OS 10.6.3 (Snow Leopard)
Processor Name: Intel Core i7
Processor Speed: 2.8 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 4
Memory: 16 GB
Software: Photoshop CS4
Hardware: Large format printer: Epson 11880
Situation: We hooked up everything and managed to print on the 11880 printer 2 times and printed two large format prints. On the third attempt, we encountered a serious problem...
Problem: After opening a file in Photoshop and sending it out for printing in the large format Epson printer, the file goes to the printer queue and stays there for 6 seconds, and then it disappears. It does not print. :-(
What we have done so far:
We made sure we downloaded the latest printer driver for this printer from Epson’s website.
The printer driver is correct. The computer talks to the printer and we are able to execute all the commands from the printer utilities panel. (i.e. check ink levels, clean heads, etc.)
And yes, the printer is okay, because we have been using it with the old G4 machine for about a year.
This problem got so frustrating, that we thought that something we transferred during the computer installation might be the culprit. So at one point we erased the hard drive on the new computer and reinstalled the operating system, and have not put any files from any old computers into this machine. The computer has nothing else in it. Except: The operating systems, and the Mac applications that come when the Mac comes out of the box. The only other program installed in it is Photoshop CS4 and the printer driver.
We were wondering if this was just a printing problem, period. So we added a small printer to the computer - and old Epson 2200 we have. We sent a file to this printer and there is not problem.
Perhaps, the file size might have been an issue? It does not matter. We can send a large 60 MB file to the printer or a small photograph measuring only 8 x 10, and these will linger in the queue for 6 seconds, and disappear never to be printed.
Temporary relief came when we got rid of Adobe Photoshop’s Preferences file. After getting rid of the file and allowing Photoshop to reconstruct it, we managed to print two large files on the printer. Then it failed again. Tried getting rid of the preferences again, and the trick did not work anymore. :-(
Another temporary relief came when we created another user in the computer. On the new user account it printed again a couple of times only to fail later.
And yes, the printer WILL print from other Mac programs. If for instance, we open a file on Preview, and send it to the printer and the file will be printed. And yes, we have managed to print very large files with this method.
In the last couple of days, we have spent 3 hours on the phone with the guys at Epson. They verified the driver and because the computer seems to be communicating with the printer and printing from other Mac applications, they suspected that the problem is with Adobe.
We called Adobe once, and spent 30 minutes with an Indian fellow who concluded that the problem was with how the computer handles the spooling. According to him, Photoshop sends the file to the computer and the computer seems to get rid of it. So he passed the buck and told us that the problem was with Apple.
We called Apple and spoke for 30 minutes with a friendly technician, who transferred us to a higher level techno-geek. I spent 1 more hour on the phone with Apple, and we tried everything. We went through Adobe’s knowledgebase and tried every suggested solution (see Adobe’s KB406452). It was with him that we found a temporary fix of removing the Preferences file, but the solution was short lived. He finally thought the problem was with Adobe as the printer is able to print from all applications EXCEPT Adobe Photoshop.
We called Adobe for the second time...and after waiting on hold from 1 entire hour, we got an Indian technician, that bless his heart, had a very thick accent and had no expertise, in my opinion. He was good at collecting data and he even made me share my computer screen so that he could troubleshoot the problem. After being constantly put on hold by him (because he had to consult with someone else), he passed the buck and said that it was Apple’s problem. I just told him that it was not as likely because all programs print EXCEPT Photoshop. After trying what I would consider a “hail Mary” of DELETING all the printers from my Library folder, and not replacing them, he recorded a case number for another Adobe technician to call us in a few days.
Because the above technician completely blew the Library, I just erased and reinstalled the OS. This time, I did not allow the OS to be updated - from 10.6.2 (that comes in the box), to 10.6.3. We tried printing using the 10.6.2 and had the same problem. :-(
Conclusion: I think it is a problem of Adobe CS4 not getting along with Apple’s new operating system. The Epson printer is doing fine, because it has been a product that has been in the market for almost 3 years. What is disappointing is that none of the companies wants to man up and say that it is a problem and that they are willing to work on it. Instead they pass the buck to the next company.
I can’t believe I am the only person experiencing this. Has anyone had this problem, and have you found a solution or workaround for it?Dear Doyle, John and Gator Soup,
Thank you for your kind replies to my problem.
PS is assigned 70% RAM. In fact, I have never had so much RAM in my life. Files open at lightning fast speed! :-) We have never considered a RIP as we do not have an intense workload. In fact all the files we have tried to print print well on our old G4 with Tiger and Photoshop 7, which at the moment has saved our butt. However it would be nice to get the new faster machine with Photoshop CS4 to talk to the Epson 11880.
Yes, we are printing directly to the printer. We have hooked up the computer via a 6 ft USB cable to the unit.
The specs and pixel dimensions of a typical file we print are:
Type of file: tif (in this case it is an RGB file) // However, we avoid any color management from the computer or the printer when printing it at this time.
File size: 60 MB
Pixel size: 6796 x 3100
Print size: 34" x 16" @ 200 dpi
I have not tried saving it as a pdf yet. Will try that next.
I did go to the Console on the Mac though, and recorded its activity between 5:14 pm - 5:19 pm when I tried to print a file.
Remember, the symptoms are: We send a file to the printer...The file goes to the printer queue, and it lingers there for 6 seconds. The file then disappears.
Although there is a cryptic message of "invalid colorspace" in the log, I don't believe that the file is corrupt. First because we have tried several files, second because smaller versions of these can be printed in another Epson 2200 printer, and third because the large format images can still be printed using our old G4 machine with Tiger and Photoshop 7.
This might provide me with extra ammunition for when I call both Adobe and Apple on Monday. Apple has been quite good on customer support - particularly when they upgrade you to higher level geeks. ;-) Do you have any idea I what time I should call Adobe so that I can get people on the western hemisphere to answer the phone? It seems that after a certain time they start speaking with an Indian accent over there.
Enclosed, for whatever is worth, is the Console's log:

On our 6-month old HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 Wireless A909g, we can't seem to figure out how to set the DEFAULT printing parameters so they really apply to all docs (unless we designate otherwise for a particular doc, of course). When we set them, sometimes they work for the next doc, and sometimes they revert back to an earlier setting.
There seem to be three ways to set parameters for the printer: Properties, Printing Preferences or Printing Defaults on the Advanced tab. (We really thought Printing Defaults on the Advanced tab would do it, since it's so hard to find, but ... NOT.)
My partner thinks it's an HP conspiracy to sell more ink because the reversion is to General with Color (the most ink-intensive, as far as I can figure out). We are trying to fix the machine to start always with Fast-Economical/Black Ink Only. Sometimes it's there and sometimes we have to re-jigger first. We still have to check every time.
Also, I want to fix every job to "Print Back to Front" because the printer shoots out the pages face up. Again, sometimes it's there, and sometimes we have to re-set before the job.
Also, whether we get the default we had set or we re-jigger first, the settings don't stick for every worksheet in an Excel workbook. Or sometimes not even every page.
So, who out there has the 100% foolproof guide to NAILING DOWN THOSE SETTINGS FOR EVERYTHING?

HP color laserjet 2600n - printing problem.
When the my HP color laser jet 2600n print a page, it is no question if this is blank or colored, the paper show 2 vertical strips constiued for more parallel very thin lines.
One strip is large about 1.2 cm at 3,5 cm from the edge; the other is large about 0.5 cm at 4 cm from the opposit edges.
The color of the bands is primarily cyan - green.
The intensity of the strips is different from any print.
The problem is increased quickly.
The levels of any toners are about 45%.
The HP page print test for the toner cartige do not show any problem (however there are even the 2 verical strips).
The tranfer roller, after the printig proces, is no clean and present the sames strips above described.
I cleaned by a liquid soft cleaner the transfer roller and other part easily detachable and finding in this the presence of dirty then removed: any improvement.
I observe that the photosensitive drums of the cartrige toners (cyan e magenta) are not perfectly clean: it present traces of toner in corrispondence of the bands.
I think about a phenomenon of fat dirty that has propagated from the rollerr to the drums.
Some other user has already found my problem?
Could I look for to resolve without resort to the after-sales service?
How to can eventually clean the drums?
Sorry for my bad English.
Thank you.1. take out all of the ink cartriges and look at the big black roller on the door for streaking, if streaking, clean with a lint free cloth dampened with windex (window cleaner) then close the door.
2. let it run to initializing.
3. open the door and look and the black roller on the door to see if you have streaking. If no streaking put one cartridge in and close the door and repeat the steps until you find what cartridge is causing the problem.
I did this and found that my cyan was creating the lines on my paper. I cleaned the cyan roller with a Qtip and some rubbing alcohol and it works fine now, no more lines on the paper.
Cheers -
HP LaserJet 2430 Prints vertical grey bands
While printing, some characters from each line are repeated at 3 inch intervals along the length of the paper. This happens at about 2 inches and 7 inches from the left margin and appear as two vertical grey bands on the printout (portrait mode). The widths of the bands are approximately 2 characters and 8 characters.
For example when a single line is printed the two characters at 2 in and about 8 characters at 7 in from the left margin repeat at 3, 6 and 9 inches down from the printed line and their intensity of the printing decreases. The same happens with each printed line creating two bands.
It appears the electrostatic mechanism that deposits toner does not get properly cleared after printing each line. The left over electical charge keeps the carbon particles at those (2" and 7") locations subsequently depositing at each rotation of the roller (approximately every 3 inches along the length of the paper)
I followed all the five steps (suggestions) by HP but the problem persists. I would appreciate any help in resolving this issue based on your e experiencewith any HP LaserJet printer.
1. Power is an important part of LaserJet printing and inadequate or marginal power supply can at times cause this sort of issue to occur. Please
plug the printer directly into a wall outlet to eliminate the possibility of power issues caused by other power devices. Please turn off the printer. Remove the printer power cable and connect it directly to a wall outlet. Turn the printer ON.
2. Please ensure that the print media meets the HP media specifications. Please refer to the document at the following URL for information on media specification. HP LaserJet 2400 Series Printer - Paper (Media) Specifications:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c00244086
3. Over time, particles of toner and paper accumulate inside the printer. This can cause print-quality problems during printing. Cleaning the printer eliminates or reduces these problems. Clean the paper path and print-cartridge areas every time that you change the print cartridge or whenever print-quality problems occur. Try to keep the printer from dust and debris as much as possible.
Please refer the following document for the cleaning procedure for the HP LaserJet 2400 series of printers: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c00243502 After running a cleaning page, print a page and check if the issue persists.
4. Do a cold reset on the printer:
To perform a cold reset, please follow the steps given below:
1. Turn the printer off.
2. Turn the printer on. When the printer begins its memory count, press and hold down the select button until all three printer control-panel lights flash once and then remain on. This might take up to 10 seconds.
3. After the message SELECT LANGUAGE appears on the display, press the Up Arrow button or the Down Arrow button until COLD RESET is highlighted.
4. Press the Select button. The printer performs a cold reset and then continues its power-on sequence.
5. Check all I/O settings and reset any customer-set printer configuration values.
5. Do a Firmware update on your printer. You may refer the following document for information about upgrading the firmware for the HP LaserJet 2400 series of printers:The problem looks like the fuser. Bad spot at 2 3/16 inch from the left.
Part on order.

HP Officejet Pro 8500a prints slowly over wireless on Cisco Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Router EA6500
I have the HP Officejet Pro 8500a. I recenrly change my wiress router to the Cisco Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Router EA6500.
Nearly every time I print, the documement remains "pending" for at least several minutes, sometimes as long as 20, until it finally starts printing. Once it starts printing, the document is printed quickly.
It doesn't matter the size of the document and the time it remains "pending." I've done test pages with just the word "test" in a Microsoft Word document, and it will remain in "pending" for well over five minutes.
If I print over the USB cord, there are no delays.
I need help. I can't figure out how to remedy this long delay when printing wirelessly.
On a side note in case this is helpful, the Linksys router does have a priority setting where you can select up to three devices for priority access (faster connection?), which seems to be more for bandwidth-intensive devices. I tried adding both the laptop I'm printing from and the printer to this priority list, but that did not improve the print connection speed.
Advice please! Thank you.Hi Jim-Gr,
I understand you have an Officejet 8500A that has started printing very slowly after switching routers. I'm sorry to hear this has happened but will certainly do my best to assist you.
I appreciate you advising that you have tried connecting the printer via USB and it does make a huge difference. I'm also assuming your previous router didn't go this slowly either. With the things you have tried, my assumption is that it's a setting in the router that needs to be changed. If you're not sure how to change things in your router you can generally call the router company and they will walk you through it.
First you will want to ask them if there are any firmware updates for your router, if there are have them perform the update. If it is up to date already then have them make sure your router is broadcasting at a frequency of 2.4 GHz as that's the only frequency the printer works with.
Second, you will want to make sure the following ports are open:
UDP: 427, 161, 137, 138
TCP: 9100, 9220, 9500, 137, 139, 427
Once all of this is updated, then I would suggest you power cycle everything (turn off the printer and the PC, pull the power on the router for 30 seconds and then turn the other two back on once lights are back to normal) and try again. This should allow your printing speed to go back to normal
Hope this helps, have a great day!

Use the BOX command
Syntax:
/: BOX [XPOS] [YPOS] [WIDTH] [HEIGHT] [FRAME] [INTENSITY]
Effect: draws a box of the specified size at the specified position.
Parameters: For each parameter (XPOS, YPOS, WIDTH, HEIGHT and FRAME), both a measurement and a unit of measure must be specified. The INTENSITY parameter should be entered as a percentage between 0 and 100.
XPOS, YPOS: Upper left corner of the box, relative to the values of the POSITION command.
Default: Values specified in the POSITION command.
The following calculation is performed internally to determine the absolute output position of a box on the page:
X(abs) = XORIGIN + XPOS
Y(abs) = YORIGIN + YPOS
WIDTH: Width of the box.
Default: WIDTH value of the SIZE command.
HEIGHT: Height of the box.
Default: HEIGHT value of the SIZE command.
FRAME: Thickness of frame.
Default: 0 (no frame).
INTENSITY: Grayscale of box contents as %.
Default: 100 (full black)
Measurements: Decimal numbers must be specified as literal values (like ABAP/4 numeric constants) by being enclosed in inverted commas. The period should be used as the decimal point character. See also the examples listed below.
this is a very time consuming task. well, hope this will help you

Error 88 or Support Code 88 in Canon Driver printing on art paper from Lightroom
Re: Error 88 (Support Code 88) of Canon Printer Driver, using Pixma Pro9500 - April 20, 2014
I'm replying to myself from two years ago, and to the rest of you, regarding Error 88. (My question of April 2012 is in the Photoshop department of Adobe Community. For those who don't know but are reading this anyway for some reason, Error 88 is a message from the Canon Printer Driver that tells you you haven't set the paper size correctly for printing on fine-art paper. But it may appear anyway, even if your settings are correct.)
At the time I found no resolution to the problem, just a workaround: to print from Lightroom itself. Too bad this was after months of hassle and expense, including a probably fraudulent (and certainly useless) repair (supposedly replacing the Pixma's logic board and paper sensor), and the ministrations of a techie who could only conclude there was something wrong with my copy of Photoshop which provoked the Error 88. But he made me realise I could print from Lightroom, and that's what I've been doing ever since. (The possibility had never occurred to me, as my routine of printing from Photoshop was working fine.) This has been a good move after all, since Lightroom offers many advantages over PS where printing is concerned: tonal controls and more in Develop, and the possibility of creating a Saved Print.
But to print from Lightroom, I had to crop my printing files to the image. (In PS I had always created a document the same size as the paper I planned to use – A4 or A3+ – and positioned the image where I wanted, with margins all around. But in Lightroom I set margins and position in Print Mode, starting with a borderless file.) This was a bit of work, but unavoidable, and a good thing on the whole. So for a couple of years I printed in this way.
But meanwhile, my 2009 iMac was developing other problems, and finally I had to replace it. (After only two or three years of use, it was shutting down spontaneously, a problem no one was able to resolve, about which every techie has a different opinion, and about which Apple is completely mute and unresponsive; thank you Apple Computer for your supposedly ultra-reliable products – I can only say it’s a good thing you don’t make pacemakers).
So for about ten weeks now I have a nice shiny new 2013 iMac, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Also I have the new OS Mavericks, new versions of Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 5, the new Canon Driver. I have my complaints about the OS (particularly a few interface/viewing design choices that strike me as colossally stupid and unnecessary), but that's beside the point here.
Having not yet printed with the new setup (nor for a few months before), and knowing that it's good to use your Pixma now and then, I thought I'd dedicate a few hours to printing. I figured it could work out easy, since I planned to print from Saved Prints. But as soon as I hooked it all up, checked my settings, and clicked Print, I see the printer icon bouncing in the Dock with its little yellow trouble flag. I check that out and am very dismayed to see my old nemesis, Error 88, which tells me I haven't set the paper size correctly. But it's correct, of course. (As before, I'm printing on fine art paper, A3+.) Beg your pardon, Canon now calls it "Support Code 88", thinking of all the Support you'll get from them.
I tried a few of the obvious things: start/restart computer, printer, Lightroom, etc., but to no avail. Also, supposing that my Saved Prints were perhaps no longer valid in the new LR, I tried to print directly from the file, bypassing the Saved Print, but no go.
I should also note that, in Page Setup, the Default paper size “Super B/A3” (330x483mm) was new to me – seems to me you could set “A3+ Art Margins”. A3+ as I know it from the fine-art papers I use is 329x483mm anyway (also as given in Page Setup), if that makes any difference.
If it's any use, here are some particulars on the current situation:
iMac 27”, late 2013, 3.4 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB, Mac OSX 10.9.2
Lightroom 5.3 (Camera RAW 8.3)
Photoshop CS6 (version 13.0 x64)
Canon PrinterDriver_Pro9500 series_108420 (10.84.2.0)
And my settings: LR Page Setup: set “Art A3+ (Margin 35)”System Prefs/Printers & Scanners – set Default paper size “Super B/A3” (330x483mm) (found via “Format For:” in Page Setup)LR Print Settings:
Printer: Canon Pro9500 series (exclamation point – not recognized?)
Presets: Last Used Settings
Color Matching: Canon
Paper Handling: All Pages – Automatic – NO “Scale to fit paper size” (but “Destination Paper Size, though grayed out, reads “Suggested Paper: Art A3+ (Margin 35”)
Quality & Media: Media Type: Fine Art “Photo Rag” (or “FA Museum Etching” or “FA Matte”); Paper Source: Front Tray; Print Quality: High; YES Grayscale Printing
Color Options:
Color Mode: Standard; C-M-Y and Tone all left at zero
Brightness: Normal; Intensity and Contrast both left at zero
It all looks kosher to me. Does anybody know anything about this problem? I'll be very grateful.
