Hi Experts,
I am an ABAPer and have close to 3 years of development experience in ABAP, now i was trying to understand how exactly a CRM system is intergrated with SAP R/3 . Below are few of the basic question i have
1. How does R/3 interact with CRM, searching in the forum i just got to know its through RFC . Can anyone give me specific technical details like how R/3 and CRM interact in a real time scenario .
2. Ca any one also give me an real time development example that was done in CRM to interact with SAP R/3 and explain me the basic steps involved in it, this might give me clear picture of how developments happen in CRM and also how CRM and SAP interacts with each other .

with repect to programming , it is similar to R/3 ABAP devlopment . It all depends on scenarios:
1) For eaxmple we use BADI's to put some extra validations / additional data when you are creation order
2) unlike R/3 where we use SAP GUI trnsactions for creating orders, in CRM we have IC web client techonolgy where we can create orders through web.This is based on BSP technology. In order to add additinal fields on the screen for we use easy enhancment workbench tool(EEWB).this is something new in CRM when compared to R/3.

Can I interact with SAP Tech Support Team over phone?

I and my architect in my company willing to interact with SAP Tech Support Team over phone (i.e. Like to setup a Call with them). we have bought a license with us for Crystal Report 2008. My architect has few queries to be clarified and willing to interact with them.

SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe with SAP CRM

Hello community,
I'm sure most of you would have seen the exciting videos showcasing the use of SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe with SAP CRM 2007 & SAP CRM 7.0. I solved the problem by installing the Adobe Designer 7.1.
Now my next problem is that I have no ADS (Adobe Document service).
That makes sense to my Adobe forms newbi brain. My guess is that the ADS must run on the JAVA stack and my testdrive is a ABAP stack only.
My next shot will be to install an JAVA testdrive on top of my ABAP testdrive and see what happens.

I can recommend you to search sap official documents for the standard-SAP-delivered-Adobe-forms and maybe there are some for the PM module. Would that help? Or you´ve learnt Adobe yourself? Regards, Otto

We have biztalk as integration tool. I would like to know is it feasible to implement Biztalk with SAP XI to communicate with our SAP ECC server. I heard it will be over weight to use both Biztalk and SAP XI coz each will have its own message box and leads to more process time. So we are planning to use Biztalk with SAP webservices. So please let me know which is better as cost wise and work wise biztalk with SAP XI or Biztalk with SAP Web services.

This is a contentious issue.
In principle a middleware to middleware integration is against the basic ideas of EAI. We need to integrate applications and not middlewares, but in reality this is in most cases an inevitable situation.

How to Interact with interactive adobe form in sap

Hi All,
I created a Interactive adobe form i can interact with this form when i click on preview PDF tab in ADS, But when i executed that form i am unable to interact. when i am executing i am using output device as LOCL and clicking on print preview.Can Any Help me how to configure output devices so that i can interact with form when i click on print preview.

Hi,
In the PDF layout side set the following properties.
Edit-----> Form Properties under Defaults tab set the set the PDF Render Format to 'Dynamic XML Form'
Under Preview tab set the Prview Adobe XML Form as 'Dynamic XML Form' .

SAP XI and BizTalk both offer a tight integration of Web Services into the engine and development tools. Using the SAP XI SOAP Adapter enables the consumption and publication of Web Services based on the SOAP 1.1 protocol according to the WS-Basic Profile 1.0.
The BizTalk SOAP Adapter also offers Web Services support based on SOAP 1.1
support and Basic Profile 1.0 capabilities.
Anyway XI and Biztalk can interoperate, you should evaluate the scenario you are going to implement.
Based on transactionality, trhroughtput, communication etc, the following scenarios are in focus:
Synchronous and non-transactional communication
Synchronous and transactional communication
Asynchronous and non-transactional communication
Asynchronous and transactional communication
This leads to eight scenarios overall, as both hubs may act as the initiating starting point of the communication. The choice of communication types for a certain integration process depends on business needs, technical needs and performance considerations.

Hi I have a question I can insert data throw Workflow of SUP to Business one? or I need to build a library with SDK and consume from SUP, Thanks for you help.

I think SAP Business One is an out of the box solution (not an R/3 but R/2 ) with does nt involve Abap ( Bapi's are nt involved) and integration of SUP/SMP with SAP systems(R/3) is possible via BAPI / FM
Also SUP/SMP supports integrating database and develop applications on top of it (m nt sure the possibilities/challenges in business one ).-- This could be an alternative to look into without Business One SDK.

Installation of SAP Netweaver 7.0 with SAP R/3 Enterprise 4.70 backend

Hello everybody,
I need to install an SAP Netweaver 7.0 environment for a client who is currently using SAP R/3 Enterprise 4.70. However, I couldn't find any document about the compatibility of the two.
Does anybody know if it is possible to connect these versions of Netweaver and R/3?
Could you please tell me where I could get some documentation about it (for example : intallation guide of netweaver with SAP R/3 4.7 or docs about netweaver and R/3 4.7 connectivity) ?

The final need is to be able to create purchase requisitions or purchase orders in the enterprise portal with a simplified user interface for users who are not used to working with SAP and don't have the SAP client installed on their computer.
So they will use their web browser to connect to the portal and create the requisition for example. Then we wan't the data to be stored in the R/3 backend et other users will validate the requisition and deal with the rest of the process.
The second step will be to study the benefits we could get from installing Adobe document services and creating an adobe interactive form to simplify even more the user interface. The users would then fill the data for the purchase order or requisition directly in the form that looks like the form they get when printing.
I saw that we have to install the "R/3Plug-In 2004.1" in the backend to use our SAP 4.7 as a data source for the Portal.
Do you know if there are other steps to perform in the backend before we link it to the portal ?

I am only aware of a few customers who have integrated predictive dialing into the Interaction Center, and those customers all used Genesys or Avaya. I'm not aware of anyone who has done this with Melita yet.

There are a lot of differences between the SRM 5.0 and SRM 7.0.regarding the Bidding Scenario.
Infact SRM 7.0 is released with Public Procurement service(PPS)
The main differences
SRM 5.0 -tender fees payment and EMD (Earnest Money deposit) is thro' Development
SRM 7.0 -Tender fess -Payment can be made in SRM thro'Payment Gateway
- EMD Fees can also be paid in the SRM 7.0 which is Standard Functionality..
There are lot of differnce

ECC Proxy PI = Proxy connection between PI and ECC (provider as well consumer)
ABAP Proxy PI = same as above
SWF_BAM = Business Event triggering outbound services
