Interactive Buttons - Open File - How do I open a file in a "new" window?

Running CS5 and I'm working on an interactive document. I have created a Button and my Action is to "Open File" and I've selected the applicable file. When I export to PDF and click on that button, it opens the file but not in a new window so I lose my original source PDF.
I know that I can do these actions in Acrobat but I'd prefer to do all my actions in InDesign so I don't have to keep going back and forth.

I believe it has to be done with a JavaScript in Acrobat. It cannot be done in InDesign. You might ask in the Acrobat forum for more information.

'Open URL or file' - how to use a relative file path?

I have a click box on a slide that I want to use to open an instance of a file (ie a PDF, a JPG, etc) in a new window, then when the user closes the window the Captivate demo continues.
My plan is to distribute this file with the published project and have it sit in the same folder as the project files.
I think that I have worked out all the processes to do this except how to correctly set up the click box. In the click box properties I have 'Open URL or file' on success, but how to enter the information in the URL text box is challenging me. An absolute path to the file on my computer works fine. Can I specify a relative path so Captivate defaults to using a file stored in the same folder as the published project?
I have attached a sample of the file I want to use.

Pages documents can only be read on another iPhone, iPod touch, iPad or Mac with Pages installed. To make a document compatible with Microsoft Word, you just have to export the document.
To do that, just open the document with Pages, and then, go to File menu > Export > Word, and after exporting that document to Word format, just send it

How do I set Safari to automatically resize new window when opening a link?

Here is the scenario. I have one Safari window open, I click a link that is on that page, I have Safari set to open a new window (not a new tab) so that is what it does. It opens a new window from that link, but the new window is too small. It is about 1/4 the size of a window that fills up the screen. How do I set up Safari so that when I open a link in a window, it automatically resizes the new window to fill the screen?

Hi Paula Jo
Next time a new window automatically opens, resize it to the desired size by dragging the lower right corner. Then, click on the red button in the upper left to close it.
Now, select a link in your existing browser window to open the 2nd window. It ought to be the same size as what was set previously.
Let me know if that works.

DW CS4: How to play a Flash Movie in a NEW window after clicking a link or a button on a page?

Hi, using Adobe Dreamweaver CS4, I would like to have a link or a button on a webpage that when clicked will play a Flash Movie in a new window.
Using the 'Insert Panel' > Media: FLV I managed to insert the .flv file on the page, but the movie plays 'in line' instead of in a new window. So far I can't find any 'Properties' or settings to change this behaviour. E.g. like Target _blank for opening e.g. a .pdf in a new Window.

Mulitple users on a share file, how do u notify that file is already in use?

Just like Word or Excel, I have pdf share file that multiple people use, how do I lock it and provide only one user at a time to edit the document. In Word or Excel it says " do you want a read only copy".

Generally speaking if a file is opened, the OS should be marking the file as in use. Any other person that tries to open the file should get that message and at best be allowed to open a copy. Where is the file that is being opened located? What is this a network share? What OS is running the network resource? How are the users getting to the resource and opening it?
In its origin a PDF was essentiall digital stoneware and there may have not been a need for Acrobat to trigger a system lock on the file as being used. Certainly, since today PDFs are edited, filled out, commented upon, etc Reader and Acrobat should be triggering a system locak on the file.
On the other end of the spectrum, MS Office applications frequently do not release a file in use lock for documents that have been closed until the application closes down.

 In My scenario i can able to bring the Multiple attachement in the Paylod using PaylodSwapBean . I wan to store these attachements to a file system. ie. Whatever attachements i am reading i have to store in a file .
 For eg., In my scenario i have designed the Data Type as DT_Test--> Row --- > Details .
 Details can able to hold each line of Each File . One file contains multiple Line data .
 If i use Message Transform Bean , first attachement only getting Tranformed rest of them as it is . Not getting tranformed to required format.
 Please give some suggestions !
